:: Kaen felt a little annoyed. Why, why, why. Everybody always wanted to know why. She didnt care why, she never did. Why had never mattered to her. It hadnt mattered when her mother left her. Hadn't mattered when her papa died. Hadnt mattered when her brother never came back. All that mattered was what had happened. What was fact. Truth. Existing, and existence, solid and tangible and real. Why was a shapeless word, a worthless explanation tacked on to try and explain the fact, the truth. It didnt make the fact fiction. Didnt make the real fake. Didnt make the hurt not. It was to cover the a** of whoever had put the truth there.

I'm going to find my son. And you can stay here, with these people you love so much.

This old body's done for, Kaen. Papa can't stay with you anymore.

Deity'll come for you when it's finished.

Why would the red b*****d be after her brother? Kaen shook her head at Jade, a weak gesture that spoke of her own ignorance. ::

"Because he's a b*****d. Because it's what he does, I don't know."

:: She didn't yell it. No reason to yell. She wasn't angry. Just selfish. Always, always selfish.

I want to stay here. Earth is my home.

Papa, you cant die. What will I do without you?

But I want to go with you, Niichan. I want to build it with you.

I dont want to be alone anymore.

Don't have to be.

He's here.

She saw him as he emerged from the elevator, tall and dark and lithe as he always was. Spiked hair drooping slightly. Eyes hidden behind the foggy lenses of his glasses. He strode with a purpose, forceful and casually elegant in a way that only Niichan was. The past sixteen years seemed to melt away. He still looked exactly the same, never-changing. The same as he had been during their seventy-year tenure together. Same as her. An unchanging form, never aging, never fading, ever the same.

She turned towards him, taking a step, heart skipping a beat. Her feet were carrying her as quickly as they could, the last few feet in a long arduous journey disappearing beneath her steps like a shadow into the night. At the last second she dashed forward and flung her arms around his knees, laughing out loud. ::

"Deity-niichan!"

::The tall boy had nearly reached his destination, nearly reached the redheaded emperor waiting so eagerly for him at the threshold of his own home. He was close to confronting his devious brother about his wrongdoings, a task he was keenly unprepared for but morally unable to avoid. So close, that is, before he heard his name shouted excitedly out at him from across the room. The voice was unfamiliar, but the name was enough to draw his attention, stifling his momentum halfway through his stride, causing the ball of his foot to divert prematurely into the floor.

Deity turned his head from Taliman to see the small child with red hair bounding toward him. His red eyes widened with a near horrified look as he stood there, not entirely sure how to respond. The girl leapt into and clung onto him, but did so in a friendly manner one might use when greeting a friend they hadn't seen in a great while. Had she intent to harm him he might have moved from her path, but alas he only stood there with a baffled look on his face. He blinked, looked around. Someone help, he thought. How come this giddy little person is attached to me? He shifted his knees a little, seeing as she was holding them together, threatening to topple his limber frame.

His Japanese was terrible at best, but he recognized the term she used - if he heard and understood correctly, she'd just referred to him as her brother. Strange, he thought - I don't have a sister. I would remember if I had a sister. Especially a miniature one. Tilting his head, he peered down at the child through the foggy lenses of his eyeglasses. Upon closer inspection-- no, he still didn't recognize her. This is awkward. A wry smile tried vainly to sneak unnoticed onto his face as his arms opened up a bit, both in an attempt to keep his balance, and to signal that there was an unnecessary invasion of personal space going on.

What does one say to that? The question rolled briefly in Deity's head before he stopped at the conclusion that he had no clue. At first perfectly content to simply stand there and let the stupid look on his face do the talking for him, his lips parted and decided without his permission that he should have suited dialogue to match his expression.::

Interruptions. Just as Tali gets to the heart of the matter at hand, always interruptions. Again the little brat was meddling in his business, again making him want t- what did she say?

"Wait what?"

The words slipped right out, the disbelief plainly obvious on his face. She called Tybron her brother. His one sapphire eye was opened so wide one might think it'd fall right out of his head. That just didn't make any sense. The chain reaction of thoughts entering his mind began, each corresponding look on his face growing more and more perplexed. Brother? He's her brother? She's his sister? He has a sister? Why wasn't I told this? Tybron doesn't have a sister. Hell, I don't have a sister. Not on this garbage dump anyway.

The incredulous expression on Wesley's face could be rivaled by none as the frustration roused earlier by the brat once again reared it's ugly head. He clearly wasn't convinced.

"This is rubbish", he said, reiterating his prior sentiments as he angrily gestured his empty hand into the air,"this little s**t isn't related to me."

Jade really didn't want to insult Kaen, but she was limited in what she could ask. It would help if she knew who her brother was, but she didn't want to ask. Kaen hadn't said yet, and Jade didn't want to push her to say. Just knowing how Taliman was though, bared that question to mind, without the knowledge of who her brother was.

The Saiya-jin opened her mouth to say something else, hoping to comfort the girl, until that is Kaen quite literally dashed off and glomped Deity's leg. Her mouth hung open at the declaration of 'Deity-niichan' from her, the pieces of the puzzle falling together suddenly.

Deity was her brother.
Tali wanted to kill Deity for a long time.
Kaen wants to stop Tali from killing Deity.
But Tali didn't know who she was, and if she was Deity's sister, she must be related to Tali, right?

It all made sense, in a strange, not very clear way.

Then there was Taliman's reaction. Oddly enough, it would appear more likely he and Kaen were related, than she was to Deity. But Taliman didn't know her either. And she hated him. Soo.....

".......this is giving me a headache...."

Jade was rather confused by it all, and wasn't sure how to approach the siblings, who were, and yet weren't related to each other. If that made any sense at all. Sighing, the young woman rubbed at one of her temples, before slowly approaching the trio, hoping not to make things worse.

She smiled up at Deity, placing her hands on her hips and feigning disappointment in him. " You never told me you had a sister! And after all this time too!"

Watching the party at the table dissolve toward the arena, the old sage remained seated. Apparently his protests amounted to a hill of s**t these days. Epithany was really going to leave the Solarian guild. With his luck they would likely blame her departure on his head.

Running his hand through his hair he licked his lips going over the terms of the agreement between his students. He understood why they were doing what they were doing. But it was still so abrupt. They may be children to him, but they were technically adults who could make their own choices. At least this was something he could do with out violating the agreement between guilds. The girl's respect for him at least went that far.

Turning to this former lover and surrogate sister the old kitsune adjusted his glasses.

"I've made my choice for you...I'll summon him so you can at least meet. He is a Blackheart Class Shadow mage."

Before even waiting for her to say anything he opened his hand a black flame arising in his palm. Speaking in a gutteral tone the flame turned white and then vanished from view.

"It is done..."

Rising from the Fox sage's shadow an unfamiliar figure rose into view.

A haze of smoke wafted into the air obscuring his face from view. It was the way he liked it. It was normally in his best interest to stay out of sight and be at a distance. But mana signatures in the room were generally at rest.

Dusting the stray fragments of shadow that clung to his clothing. Standing with his back facing those nearest he yawned. Glancing back at his superior he took another drag from his cigarette.

"You flamed old man?"

Turning fully to face the snow fox, he blew a smoke ring his eyebrows raising at the sight of the infamous dragon highlord turned quantum mage.

"Am I missing something?"

"Either way is fine. Since this one is issuing the challenge, it is only proper that the challenged sets the rules."

The one-armed samurai inclined his head softly to Unks, smiling just a touch. Both versions of the match would be fine for him, though he thought it might be good to stretch some abilities a bit further than they had been in a few months.

The two of them stepped slowly out of the hallway, headed for the arena down the flight of stairs. Needless to say, this would prove interesting.

Eying the newcomer critically, her gaze narrowed as she stared incredulously at her mentor.

"I am taking notice of an problem here. You expect me to be okay with having some mystery man watch my daily actions? Is this some sort of way of getting back at me for not listening to you?"

Crossing her arms over her chest she sighed once more glancing at the strange new individual.

"I surmise you haven't received any word of what you are being asked to do..."

Squinting at the mystery man.

"Have we met before?"

"Well thanks for letting me choose the rules. I say we keep it basic, but I will apologize in advanced now. Sometimes in the heat of the moment my powers come out. I'll do my best to control them."

::The purple haired Saiya-jin laughed lightly looking at the one armed man. He has only seen him fight once or twice so this should be quite an interesting match up. Inside Unks' blood was starting to race through his veins just thinking about it. He felt Kendo's energy rise up and turned his head seeing someone who wasn't there before and Pith talking to him::

"Babe are you coming to see or not? You can bring the old man and that random guy too if you want."

"Watching your daily actions..."

Pausing to look her over, he smirked a boyish smile forming on his lips.

"Not that I would object to that. But I believe there's much more than meets the eye here."

Outstretching his hand, he gained a more serious expression.

"Cyprus Jakyl at your service. You must be the infamous Epithany of the Redmoon. Your symposium concerning the quantum flux gradient was as sight to behold amongst many things. I applied many of his principles into my own research. I'm quite sure your familiar with proper photon containment protocol. I have actually gone beyond the theoretical and produced working models."

Noticing the piercing gaze of his superior as well as the attention of the purple haired man, a short distance away.

"Sorry, its not everyday I meet a celebrity of your level."

"As you wish, then. Swordplay only, but should your abilities show themselves, I won't hesitate to use mine in defense."

Hasamoto continued on to the arena while Unks waited for his wife's response, walking past Red and down the stairs. His wooden sandals clicked softly on each one, the samurai smirking to himself. He had rarely shown what he was truly capable of, what gifts he'd been given along with his immortality besides just his ability to leap higher and swing harder. Even Red hadn't seen his full set of skills. Though the boy had requested swords only, Kono hoped just a little that things might escalate just a bit.

Having reached the bottom, he slowly crossed the mats surrounding the ring before ascending the small staircase leading up to the tiled center stage. While still near the edge, Konosuke shrugged off his haori with practiced skill, placing it on the side, and leaving him in the sleeveless black robe he wore underneath. His scar that was formerly his left arm was clearly visible.

As he waited for his opponent, Kono pulled out both his swords, holding Lotus and Sakura in between the fingers of his right hand, resting the tips on the floor.

((You can come watch if you want, Tama. ^ ^))

Raising her eyebrows at the strange young man she smiled surprised to find anyone interested in her field of study within the walls of the Orion.

"Errm...yes. You seem to be evading my question."

Smirking obviously amused turned back to her husband.

"Go ahead love, we'll join you in a moment."

Motioning for the 2 shadow mages to follow she glanced toward the ruby Kitsune.

"It seems Sasha has already made his choice. He seems to be an interesting fellow. We should all talk as it seems we are soon to be working with one another."

Walking backwards facing Cyprus she smirked.

"What type of application are you utilizing? Higher level quantum mechanics can be out right volatile. I tend to keep my spells in the theoretical levels because it tends garner collateral damage."

::Unks shrugged at what Epithany said knowing she would be there to watch his match with Hasa. Before turning his back Unks gave one more look at the guy named Cyprus it seems who just came out of Kendo's shadow.

"Alright my love, if you say so."

Without another word Unks was in front of the one armed Samurai his own two swords drawn, his normal red curved blade sword he has yet to name, and The Beastman's Fang. The sword made out of his own body and parts of Pith's. His ice blue eyes flashed as he looked at Hasamoto's.

"Forgive me if you think I am intruding, but I caught your last thought, if your eager to use your own unique skills please do. It will let that slide. So whenever your ready."

Unks continued to stare at the one armed man and took a long bow as a customary sign of respect to his opponent before getting into his fighting stance. His left arm in front of him with the beastman's fang, and his right arm behind him with his red blade turned away from him::
