Raising her eyebrows in surprise she smiled.

"Are you sure its just the idea of a family? Or is it the act of making a family as well."

Planting a quick kiss on his lips she squeezed out of his grasp strolling toward the entrance to the kitchen. Making sure her expression wasn't seen she grimaced at the thought of bearing children yet. While she did want a family with him someday. She wasn't sure she was as ready at the moment. Especially with the situation she had put herself in. Pausing in the doorway she glanced back at the purple haired man.

"Do you think I'm making the right choice? I want your honest opinion, beyond what I've said."

Grasping the doorway she looked at him with pleading eyes.

:: Kaen took Kenta's proffered hand, stood to her meager full height, and thanked him in a quiet, sad voice. Now that the tiny red b*****d was leaving, the anger was draining away, leaving her feeling physically weak and seriously humiliated. She wasn't fond of her temper. It always got her in trouble, especially where her brother was concerned. When they had been together he had always tried to teach her patience and pacifism. Like him. Niichan cared very little what others thought of him or did to him, she remembered. And he had bid her do the same. But it had been hard then and it was hard now. Kaen had so little left in the world and she wanted to protect it. Was that so wrong?

She slid off the bartop to the floor, landed with precision and grace that belied the fact that moments before, she had been knocked briefly unconscious. She stood there a moment, feeling a little hurt at the skepticism she sensed from Jade. Truth be told, there was no way to prove her ability, so what the hell was the point? The sentience was a power Kaen had never wanted, and used infrequently because it seemed to bring nothing but anguish. People didn't like feeling naked and vulnerable around her, their emotions laid open like a book for her to read, which was why Kaen so often tuned it out: it felt like trespassing to read a person without their consent.

And the nightmares... Kaen was so sick of seeing disasters and death and tragedy in her sleep. It did her no help for all the nights of a pounding heart, screaming and crying, bedclothes soaked with cold sweat. She was plagued by guilt when she said nothing; on the other hand, few believed her when she did bother to warn them and then it happened anyway.

But somewhere in the back of her mind, a little voice that sounded suspiciously familiar reminded her... the point is to never give up. ::

"I know you don't see the connection. You know the b*****d; you know how he works. But I know how the sentience works."

:: Kaen turned to Jade, facing her completely with a steely gaze. Calm resolve symptomatic of someone who held no illusions. She couldn't give up now. ::

"I don't see events arbitrarily. This isn't some innate fear of losing my brother manifest into a nightmare of the first random red b*****d I could think of. This is the energy of time and space itself translating the decisions people make into the path they're on; and for some reason, I can see it. Every single person has a path, and my brother's led him here, to this point. Mine led me here, to try to save him. And as things stand now, here, at this very moment, that man is on the path to kill my brother. Him coming here proves it."

::His ice blue eyes look on her as she moves away from him and goes towards the kitchen doorway. His eyes meet her gaze as a soft smile forms across his lips as he thought of an answer for her.

"Pith, I think it is both those thoughts. The fact of little mes and yous running around, and the thought of putting those little critters inside of you."

He smirked and walked closer. As he moved closer to her his face and look became very serious now that they are getting back to business about her choice to leave her guild and letting all hell break loose with her people, and her mentor. He got closer to took her hands into his::

"Love, I think I need to get all the details before I can fully give you my answer, but from what I can gather from you, and Kendo's reaction it is a big deal. I want you to do what makes you happy. So come on give me some details before I give you my true answer."

Kenta Kitsune

It was funny that Chris thought someone could hear the pounding of her heart within her chest, because in all reality, Kenta could, and quite easily at that. Whether or not it had something to do with him being a kitsune or not he could not say, because heartbeats weren't something he often went out of his way to pay attention to. This one did catch his attention though, only a moment or so after his uncle had left him and his party in peace. Confusion followed the sound, leaving him awkwardly bewildered as he invested a bit more attention to his other senses. Being too far away for him to see, touch, or taste her, the only other two senses that left him were smell and general energy detection.

He knew the smell well; so well in fact that the look, feel, and taste of her fell upon his eyes, skin, and tongue like phantoms forged from memory. Were Ba-chan watching, she would have seen a spark light in his eyes with the revelation. For all intents and purposes, the only thing he noticed that wasn't memory induced was the rhythmic panic of her heart pounding against her breast. He was remembering how easily his fingers moved along her skin, how the smell of her reminded him of spring and autumn both at once, how her beauty always shown brightest, even in her clumsiest moments, and how her kiss felt like velvet and tasted like honey. How much of this was love's cause and how much of it was owed to her species he couldn't say, but he couldn't care much less either.

For all of that though, the only thing real to him was the heartbeat, which drew him into his revelry and pulled him right back out. Another smell hung beneath what he identified with Chris; the smell of tears. Not powerful, but present and very obviously there. Being the type to be easily moved to tears, it was almost a finisher to him as opposed to a new fragrance altogether. It completed her somewhat, or maybe just made her more of what she was. Again he couldn't say.

The sound of walking came next, but he didn't whip around to eye her. Instead he turned carefully and watched her warily, gauging her. As far as he could tell, she wanted to come in, wanted to be welcome, but was too ashamed to speak to him directly, probably afraid. He couldn't see her eyes clearly for her hair being in the way, but the somber countenance with which she carried herself said nearly enough. Kenta's ears dropped a bit, reflecting what the uncertainty hid on his face, but very quickly he softened, his ears rising, his tail, which had began swinging cautiously, relaxing, and his face breaking into a kind smile that bore understanding and affection.

Without a word to Ba-chan, he stepped away from her and Kaen to stand opposite Chris, who had planted herself none too far from them in the first place. Part of him thought it was funny that she moved closest to that which she'd rather avoid. Another part of him thought it was cute, while a third part found it convenient enough. He sought a glass, turning his back for a moment, before satisfying himself with one of the shorter, clear, containers. On impulse, he was going to express his delight outright so that she would feel more at ease, but as he turned around, his entire expression and demeanor shifted, darkened, contorted into something less than welcoming.

And he slammed the empty glass right in front of her to catch her attention, his eyes glowing indignantly as he glowered at her.

::The central column of the tower whirred to life, adding to the newfound buzz that was the ambience of the bottom floor. The building was joyously marinating in the life of the night. The doors opened, and after only a moment of hesitation, out Deity stepped. Emerging from his room fresh out of the shower, his spike-happy hair was still damp and thus more susceptible to gravity than usual, which somehow made him appear even more sad and pathetic than usual. A difficult task made simpler by h2o. His face was covered as it typically was - the lenses of his foggy eyeglasses and his red bandana working together to give his half-hidden face a quiet serenity, any change in expression indicated only by the shape of his mouth.

The tall boy wore a black wifebeater that clung just slightly to his lanky frame, along with loose-fitting jeans of the same shade that - unlike his shirt, which seemed to be at least within the same neighborhood as the correct size - dangled desperately from his hips, aided only by a belt that was purposefully left undone by a notch or two. The Orinian went barefoot today, his pale toes providing a stark contrast to the deep umber of his polished wooden floorboards; his heels made socks out of the long, worn hems of his jeans. His pendant and locket, leather wristwatch and the rings he wore on his middle fingers completed his accessorization.

Passing his pale red glance once across the landscape of his home, Deity picked up some familiar faces, some not. Jade, of course - she was near a boy he vaguely recalled, speaking with a redheaded child he'd never seen before. Further along, he recognized Unks and his wife, and nearby them he noticed -- what was her name? He paused, questioning his own memory. The boy's eyes stalled on the woman in red for a moment. Who are you? He blinked. Red. Her name was Red. Uncreative, but easy to remember. Moving along, he noticed a few others present - both inside the building and out, the latter of which he merely sensed - that he didn't recognize. Behind those nearby, settled near the entryway doors was his brother. Clearly intending to leave, Taliman was stilled by Deity's arrival.

Normally, this would be cause to flee. It wasn't quite a guarded secret from the public that Taliman had some manner of grudge toward Deity and had on three separate occasions tried to make him more dead than others might prefer. Even more than this, Taliman quite often threatened friends and innocents not involved with their family feud, not excluding his girlfriend on several occasions. Not the type to take his pride lightly, Taliman was surely biding his time. He had no intention of forgetting about his vendetta and letting his little brother of the hook. Deity has a vicious beating somewhere in his future; of this, he was certain.

The last time the two brothers encountered eachother, the younger of them was beaten at the hands of a powerful warrior named Jagan - Taliman summarily rescued him from the brink of oblivion before defeating and subsequently murdering the beastly man that had so recently pummeled Deity without any effort. The quiet Tonepian had since reasoned that Taliman's behavior was merely insurance that he remained the only person both willing to and capable of killing his brother. With that kind of strength, there was only so much anyone could do to stop him. With his monolithic new bodyguard at his beck and call, one might say one's options of preventing a battle between the two brothers had grown infinitesimally small.

Speaking of the bodyguard, Deity reminded himself silently. That beast of Taliman's nearly killed a respected friend for no good reason recently. While Deity's viewpoints and those of User's often differed on a rather fantastic scale, the Orinian still held a great deal of respect for the Saiya-jin prince - as far as he was concerned, he owed User his life, seeing as he himself took away the prince's once. Deity was fair game - hunt him, hurt him, or haunt him, Taliman was more than justified to direct his lethal intentions toward his quarry. When he pulled others into it, he crossed the line.

With a passive glance once again toward his girlfriend and those she held company with, Deity let his long legs carry him hastily across the room toward Taliman. The two of them needed to chat, so to speak - ruler of the galaxy though he might be, Taliman had no right to terrorize the planet the way he did when he attacked the Saiya-jin prince.::

Frowning she shrugged.

"Well I suppose it begins with many in the guild being afraid to grant me more power. A lot of them were alive to witness my time as Anima. Thus they hold grudges or are apprehensive towards me being a controlling official."

Leaning against the door frame she cross her legs gazing down at her shoes.

"I suppose I'm tired of being judged by for what I did literally a lifetime ago."

Removing her glasses she rubbed her eyes in frustration.

"I have proven my loyalty, time and time again."

Replacing her glasses she sighed.

"For that reason. I'm tired. Maybe its time to move on."

Glancing towards the main room she smiled.

"You know Red offered me a position in her corporation. I wouldn't be saddled with any of the legislation of the guild. What exactly that fully entails I'm not quite sure. But it would surely alienate my former guild members. Doesn't help her organization is a arms company."

::Unks listened to her as she spoke and took in everything. He noticed Deity enter the club from the corner of his eye. He thought to himself.

"Wow Deity is still alive. I haven't seen him in forever."

He brought both his eyes back to Epithany and inwardly sighed before speaking softly once he got all his thoughts clear about the happening in her life at the moment::

"Well from what it seems like is your fellow guild members don't know how to forget the past and let things lie love. It is like high school in a way. . .Well you've got my blessing do as you wish. I am with you all the way, but remember if they can't let go what happened as Anima in the past and this new idea isn't gonna sit well. So take up Red's offer."

Nodding she smiled.

"I suppose all I can do is just move forward."

Crossing her arms over her chest she sighed.

"You were just going to agree with me no matter what anyway."

Laughing she shook her head.

"Asking a Saiya-jin whether I should avoid a fight was kind of foolish anyway."

Smiling genuinely she beckoned him over.

"But I suppose I should just have more resolve. Thanks love."

"Yeah pretty much my love. You know I would always support you, and duh asking me to fight is a go in my book."

::He moved closer and put his arms around her into a firm loving hug. He kissed her softly on the lips and pulled back only slightly so their noses were touching. He spoke softly when he did his lips brushed against hers::

"So tell me, what it is I should be expecting with you making this choice, and what I am gonna be fighting?"

Returning the kiss she sighed gazing up at his face.

"That's just it love. I have no idea. I haven't actually sent in my resignation yet. So they could try whatever it is they want. Hell they could be watching right now for all I know."

Blinking at the thought it occurred to her that she hadn't cast any search spells to actually answer that question.

"Damn...really is this worth it...."

Burying her face in his chest she groaned again. Turning around in his arms she shook her head.

"No I have to move on."

"Than we shall move on together my love. We have moved on a few times already in our short time together and more times are sure to rise up."

::He held her as close to his body as he could smiling softly. His hands moving up and down her arms softly caressing them. He closes his ice blue eyes for a seconds before opening them once more.

"You know love, I would also like to know more information about this job offer Red threw your way, and what it is she actually does."

He breathed out slowly still holding her against him. His hands now playing with her's and his fingers interlocking with her's and then pulling back again before repeating. His eyes get wide for a second::

"Wait a second! They are watching us!?"
