I'm starting to feel like a vending machine. Push a button and out comes an edit. This, in my mind, is a bad thing.

same here... I don't want to do the orders for my shop anymore, so I keep putting them off... And some people at my shop think I am only there to do edits and art for them, and don't even thank me...

I think I have the opposite problem right now. I am bursting at the seams to do edits, but I can't. The living space I am kills every possability of me getting any artwork done. So until I move, I can't do any edits. I am eager to reopen my shop.

i actually enjoy vending. Its a lot simpler than constantly cranking out customs; plus it allows time for you to do your own original works. heart Will that be a coke, pepsi or sprite? xd

Well my peev with vending isn't so much the work involved but that I feel like a vending machine in that I'm getting ignored like a vending machine. Only around when useful. Sometimes I wonder what would cause a bigger commotion - something dramatic happening irl or I closed my shop. Oh, wait, that's already been decided! My great-uncle dying vs. moving my shop to a guild - guess which got more attention! HAH!
If I didn't enjoy the art so much I would have said f-you to the entire business by now.

o.o its a miracle your great uncle was even alive this long... sweatdrop
Anyways...I really don't pit my shop against irl stuff. I just do it all and thats that...not like I have to choose between one or the other.

No further than that. So no, he should have lived much longer and his death was a huge shock. Anyways, everyone is totally missing my point, so I'll just shut up now.

Yes, some people aren't very considerate and don't consider that editors have real lives too, and just use you to get edits. But then there are always the customers who are very understanding with what you're going through, and appreciate your artwork. I think they make up for the other customers personally.

Ohhh allright; your grandmother must be young! o.o But anyways...yeah people overvalue edits...probably because this is gaia not real life....Is a strange phenomina but I can see how it'd happen. *huggles kiddo*

I understand what you're saying Kiddo (I think). It's kinda like all you're good for is edits and people just expcet them from you and that's it. Sorry about your great-uncle too, I know it's hard to lose family. Sometimes you just feel useless and that editing is all that people are interested in you for. If I'm not hitting the right subject then forget it... but that's how I feel.

Just make stuff for you and for some friends and stuff. Don't let that feeling just keep going. Do some stuff for you, like big imaculate things. Not just everyday items and stuff, just a big huge amazing edit. That's what got me over my mid-beginning-life crisis, lol. 4laugh Good luck with whatever works for you though.
