Eyeing her friend incredulously the mage smiled in amusement.

"Now we are just arguing semantics. I suppose I mean that very few of us actually come across as grounded here. It appears like more or so a relay point of sorts. In that case calling it a club fits."

Snagging Kendo's beverage she twisted off the cap, the aromatic fluid permeating the air.

"Dirt root...mint extract again...tastes like gritty black licorice in my opinion"

Taking a pull from the flask she wrinkled her nose in displeasure.

"Thinking about your idea of purpose being a obsession could depending the circumstance. But that could fit for anyone."

Again Red gazed at her, this time for the entire duration of her speech. The scent of the concoction rising from their mentor's flask was repulsive, but she tolerated with little more than the pricking of her ears. Why one would intentionally indulge in something of that nature would ever puzzle her, but there had to be some merit in it.

"You imply that your lives are unstable then?

"None too surprising, I suppose. I sense a disastrous disconnect and oblivion. Peculiar and familiar...a 'relay point' makes sense."

Her eyes sharpened upon Epithany momentarily, then she turned to Sasha, and returned to Epithany. Whatever else they might have discussed, she discarded. However her silence made it clear that she was thinking about something, even if she did not articulate it. With a breath she inclined her head, deliberately taking her time, toward the bar stools. Had she not cast an obviously inviting gaze to Epithany, one might assume she wanted to change her perspecitive.

Standing tall, she crossed her arms over her navel and approached to take a seat beside Sasha. Turning her back to the counter, she looked out into the main room again and remembered how lively the place was not.

"Companionship aside, what draws you here?"

Smirking at the question the elder Kitsune retrieved his flask.

"An interesting question...I surmise the scenery is to my liking. Companionship as you so aptly stated. Foremost I would say the chance to observe something new or out of the ordinary. The vast majority of this existence has little knowledge but what is the mundane. When settled with something that they cannot categorize, an individuals reaction can produce surprising results. I enjoy observing such. Cajoling events doesn't hurt every once in awhile."

Taking a drink of the dirt root solution he grinned.

"I am quite sure you have felt a similar urge at times. It is considered to be racial trait of our people Red. Whether we actually give into that urge is another thing entirely"

Replacing his flask within his satchel he looked to the two women.

"What draws you two?"

"Divine Intervention I'm sure."

An expressionless face could not hide the fact that someone was searching for something. Once more, Red craned her neck to see the happenings right behind her - not more than a few yards away - but her sweeping eyes gave away the nonchalance.

"I have little desire to be here and less reason, but I shall not question Kali. Perhaps she intended that we three congregate, or my previous lesson could have been her agenda."

Reaching her left hand behind Sasha, she took hold of a mug slowly sliding toward her. It was not cool to touch, nor was it warm. She placed her hands in her lap, cradling the mug, and stared at the creamy brown liquid within. Even now it was slowly stirring, the contents slightly but undeniably in motion. Ignoring the "sweet" smell it was supposed to have, each scent was captured individually, the compound divided into its separate parts as it entered her nose. Though humans found it more satisfying, she did not think it offensive for its undercoat of bitterness. It was just different.

As she watched it, the liquid grew warm, a noticeable steam rising from the surface. This continued and intensified until the haze reduced the visual quality of the beverage. Satisfied, she took a drink immediately, without regard, gauged it to be acceptable, and placed the mug back into her lap with both hands.

"Until I know for sure, I will accept that I was meant to drink this hot chocolate."

{{HOLY s**t ACTIVITY WITH IN CO, Deity what are you feeding this thread?}}

Amongst the merry group running about throughout Co Tamashii had remained like a statue, silent but on guard at all times. He had not move nor spoken to a single person the entire time and had remained in his bar stool staring out amongst the groups who talked away as if he was not there.

Of course not many knew who he was.

Yes his name and face was very much different from the others present, whereas most where Saiyen or some form of Orion he himself was an Abyss Devil. His pure black and deformed skin with his long horns and massive bulking size was out of place from the skinny and toned half demons that walked before him yet he claimed to not be any different or better in any way. No these people where kind folk who had sheltered his old friend Skiro during his last days and so the beastly monster Tamashii called them good people. Be it that a few of them where slightly sour they were still a grand folk to be around even if they were a little furry for his taste.

One in particular was rather a joy to be around and Tamashii had found a rivalry had sparked between them much as it had between him and Skiro. Kenotao was not anywhere around right now or at least from what Tamashii could plainly see but the feisty little man was true talent and much like Skiro before him, Tamashii had evolved a liking to him as well as a few others.

Wrinkling her nose at Red attributing her reason for being present to a god caught her off guard. It was not often that magic users that didn't cite divinity as their focus spoke of such things.

At that moment it occurred to her that she rarely spoke in theistic terms to anyone. Perhaps it was because there was a time she had been revered as a god. A god complex has a way of stripping one of the need to search for a higher being. It also didn't help having mastery over physics warping power.

"Hmmm..."

Gnawing once again on her lower lip, she felt oddly unable to articulate her reasoning for wanting to remain present at the Orion. It wasn't need for a residence as she owned the Soul Fountain. In past she would have perhaps cited her marriage, but it seemed neither of them put much need to return to the establishment for long stretches of time. Their relationship had de-evolved lately into realm of booty calls and reminiscing for the past.

At that moment her expression soured gravely.

"I suppose I don't know either...I don't really know anyone here particularly well. My marriage is viewed within brief stretches of time, separated by long ones..."

Before long she had realized she wasn't talking to anyone in particular but had been lost in her train of thought and had wandered several steps away from the bar. Realizing her folly she frowned gravely at the mock nervous break down she seemed to be having.

"I don't have faith or the need to study emotional states. I'm not sure what I have. Perhaps its just that..."

Catching view of the dark hulking man observing their conversation from afar, she felt heat rise toward her cheeks, the blushing thankfully obscured by the tone of her skin.

"Haha...You know what I haven't been roof in awhile..."

Her words barely permeated the air before her image glowed briefly and blurred from view. A brisk burst of air wafted into the opposing temperature of the interior.

{{Epithany}}

Amongst his person watching it seems someone had taken notice. He could feel the slight flutter in her emotional status and the flushing of her cheeks was like a siren to him. His ears pi9cking up on the rushing blood that caused the red cheeks to occur, his nose taking in the smell of her body and for a brief moment all his senses focused on her. Though he was in fact blind and his solid white pale eyes seem to gaze everywhere his empty stare fell upo0n her like a ton of bricks as he admired her frame and figure. Hearing her heart beat and seeing through her cloths and body to examine her skeletal structure and watching as her heart pounded like a racing horse. Just as fast as he had focused he unfocused and his attention sprawled out across the room again like a blanket. He said nothing or did nothing to attract her attention but that single stare was all he needed to examine her before moving on.

In by no means did he mean to stare in a wrong or demeaning way it was simple his animalistic nature to analyze people for who they truly where. He had done so with hundreds of people and on one occasion even aroused a woman before doing so but in another case he forced one into a seizure. The effects of his presence varied from being to being but overall he usually caused a flux in their through process or emotions in one way or another.

Exciting is it not?

Epithany's revelation, panic attack, or whatever dawned on her unfavorably, to which Red responded with nothing. No interruptions, no questions, no expression of concern. She drank her stolen cocoa in small sips and listened to everything that was said and everything that wasn't said, but no more. It came as no surprise that Epithany had no answer ready, but she carefully noted the changes in her companion's composure with the realization.

The tension came first, warm and bitter, hanging in the air like a light fabric growing steadily heavier. Each passing moment added weight to Epithany's distress, and it called for another sip of cocoa. Soon the green haired one was trailing in and out of her own thoughts; she had been doing that all the while anyway, but the more she said, the less she had to say. When she paused, Red took another sip, eyes never leaving their mark.

The smell of discomfort began to fill the air the moment a particularly dark figure gained her attention. Red had paid him no mind, rendering him all but invisible, but his presence was enough to cause Epithany to grow uncomfortably warm, and no sooner than that she was gone. Either the mere fact that he had been listening, or maybe the possibility that the two knew each other, was a bit too much for her. Or so Red might conjecture.

"Dimensional teleportation must be convenient."

Rising from her seat, she set the empty mug aside and made her way toward the door. Despite being poorly dressed for the season, she twisted the doorknob and pulled the door open, letting in a draft of freezing air before stepping out.

Her boots crunched in the snow as she took a few steps forward, surveying her surroundings. To her advantage, the dark creature's entrance had left a great deal of the snow melted, replaced by a slosh somewhere between liquid and solid. In a small display, she swung her right arm inward, bending at the elbow to draw her hand near her face, closed her fist gently, and tensed while jerking it an inch lower. The slosh responded by melting completely, drawing nearer in slow rotation, and instantly freezing and packing itself into a round disc of ice some two inches thick and twenty across.

Rising onto her platform, it rose of its own volition, carrying her casually upward. Despite the cold, there was not much wind, to which she paid little attention. As it was, there was nothing to pay attention to and the ascent was painless and uneventful, but when she did land on the roof, she did not speak. Rather she planted herself firmly and merely watched, awaiting some signal or another from which to take her cue.

Raising an eyebrow out of concern the fox sage watched as the usually calm mage grow steadily more flustered as she delved into her own psyche. His question was meant mainly to stave the embers of conversation. Had he known the outcome he likely would not have asked.

"Errr you alright Pith?"

Blinking dumbfounded, it had been a considerable amount of time since he had seen her act as such. She had been but a child frustrated beyond belief when he had denied her the gift of magic. At that point he knew how much the question had bothered her.

"Uhhh its okay, there's no ne..."

Following her line of sight he looked toward the dark skinned man not sure what he had to do with the situation. Shooting his gaze back to the green haired woman she seemed to be yammering unstably, abruptly vanishing from sight.

"Ohhh...well...s**t..."

Sensing Epithany's presence atop the Orion's tower he watched Red rise and head toward the exit.

"Uhhh yeah, instantaneous movement does have its advantages..."

He followed suit, stepping out into the bitter cold.

{{*Punts Keno Aside!* ME FIRST!!!! XD}}

He had noticed that amongst his browsing of the people he had attracted the interest of a few people, be it for only a split second. He gave a slight smile at the thought as he realized that he was still wearing his cloak. The leather was thick on his skin and a good 10 pounds of weight of material in all. As he stood up and off the bar stool it groaned at the relief of his weight but the floor itself also moaned as it took on his weight. His two thick boots making a loud thud on the floor as he stood and with a whisking motion the cloak was removed from his shoulders to reveal himself for who he was.

From top to bottom he was a dark man but to go into more detail was to tell a life time of stories. Horns as black as ash spiraled from a sea of dark and rough hair that draped over a stern and steady face of a strong man. Chisel and harsh like stone or marble his neck was thick with muscle as was his entire 6’4” frame. Like a mountain of strength he stood on a pair of tree trunk legs with a tail swaying back and forth between them. He wore a pair of prison shackles on his wrists and under that a pair of leather gloves, his upper body wearing a sleeveless vest like armor made of leather and some sort of dragon hide or scales. He wore baggy black pants that where bloused at the top of two black leather plated combat boots. He rested the cloak on the stool he had been sitting on and sat back down, allowing the light to smother his dark skin.

It revealed a black charred skin that had thousands if not hundreds of thousands of scars, every inch of his flesh from toe to his head was covered in deforming scars. Burns, cuts, gashes, scraps and any other wound imaginable had been inflicted upon him through battle or torture. Each scar had a story and together they told his life of desperation, anger, and survival. It was clear to any observer that whatever he had gone through he was one tough son of a b***h and that fact was proven because he was still standing.

His face was no different it was not spared from the inflictions of his life for on his cheeks, nose, forehead and everywhere else he had scars. Yet he stood with pride and honor, well actually he sat back down as he closed his pale empty eyes and kept them closed, but still his head moved as if he was looking around.

Few knew who he was, even fewer knew his name but now that he was revealed he pondered what old friends would come and say hello and who else might be brave enough to approach to greet him.
