((Hehe. ^ ^ Nah, he's got a pillow, but he looks for cuddles once in a while. I'm having a good time, so that's why I'm not on much this week. I should be home within another week. ^ ^ I'll be back in later on, hopefully. ^ ^

Mihane Echo :: So he'd skipped introductions. Kaen found herself on the broad spectrum of Not Caring. Japanese-speaking conversation-mates were so few and far between... She couldn't help but be thrilled. ::
"Iya, iya, Kenta-san! Maa, sugoi tanoshii da, nihonjin to hanashiteru no... Hisashiburi datta! Atashi Kaen! Yoroshiku."
:: Suddenly aware of herself, she blushed deeply.::
"Aa, gomen ne! I'm gushing. It's just been so long since I've been able to speak Japanese with someone other than myself. Kawaiikune na."
:: Kaen quieted briefly, feeling slightly embarrassed. As she ate passively, she saw Jade eye the sketchbook with a sort of polite curiosity that she was familiar with: everyone she met seemed to have that look at first, before they got used to the idea of her carting the thing around everywhere she went. If this particular book had been filled with anything good, Kaen might have otherwise shared the images within; she had to admit she was a little bit of an attention whore, and loved it when people praised her art. It was one of the few things her Niichan had left her, and she was very proud of it.
But this book was more diary than sketchbook, and the works within were nothing if not abstract. Pencil scribblings of faceless strangers, drawn in the heat of the moment and based on vague recollection... Sometimes Kaen herself didn't understand the messages within them. She didn't want Jade to think oddly of her. What if Jade thought she was crazy, putting her nightmares down onto paper for future perusal?
On the other hand, showing someone the sketches, bouncing ideas off of them, might help in the search for her brother...
Well then. That was decided.
"See anything you like, Jade-san?" ((.....I'm on vacation, but I don't care. xD I'm actually sitting in Deity's room at teh moment. =^ ^= He is telling me to post. > >; @Kaen:.....but....I like teh snuggle. > > ))
Jade blinked for a moment, not realizing she had been staring at the notebook in the young girls hand. She laughed a bit nervously, smiling apologetically.
"Forgive me, it's not all that often I see someone carrying a sketch book around here. In fact.....the only one I've ever seen drawing is my boyfriend."
She took a sip from her hot cocoa, having been enjoying the japanese conversation between Kenta and Kaen. It wasn't spoken frequently, and she was still learning, but it sounded nice.
"May I look?"
