"New girl?" he asked suspiciously. It wasn't that he was surprised to discover someone had come about that he didn't know, but aside from Jade and the mage, few if any other women could be termed decent fighters. The fact that Jade mentioned some new girl made him wonder if there might be some fresh blood coursing through the Orion. It would certainly be a welcoming change of pace to see a few new faces, but one could not control the actions of others. Keno couldn't anyway.
He might have pondered a bit more had User not come too, clearly in pain, a good sign all things considered. Visibly, the monkey's wounds were closing up, and he could imagine the same excruciating experience was probably occurring internally as well. Keno wouldn't deny being glad not having o endure the same process. Listening as carefully as he could, he gained he gist of User's speech. He decided, naturally, to respond, while conveniently ignoring any insult thrown his way.
"If you're not an idiot, you're too damn close for comfort. Since you care so much about your daughter, I might advise you to leave Tali's death to someone else. The kid is fine by the way, not that it would have mattered much if that fox didn't have something else to do." By this point, nothing he was saying mattered much because the monkey had passed out yet again. Oh well.
"How do we go about waking up your boyfriend?" he asked Jade with a touch of command in his voice. Under most normal circumstances, he would entertain Tali himself just for the hell of it, and leave whenever it was convenient, but he could think of only a few reasons for Tali to grace the Orion. Why he had brought that large monkey...

Short piece of trivia: Keno had in fact seen that monkey once before with his niece. If memory served, he was supposed to be her bodyguard. That brought up more questions than it answered. Whatever the reason though, Keno had no desire to throw himself against that beast willingly. It took more power than was necessary to just stun him. Aside from a surprise head shot, that giant was going wherever Tali wanted without interference.

As for the other participants, it was unfortunate for you to be drawn out when everyone else to this point seems to have gotten a slap on the wrist, or less. The fact of the matter is, during Round One, I was so hopeful that everyone would get their a** in gear that I more or less ignored the rule to see how it would go. From that, I immediately resolved to enforce the rule more stringently in the next round because I named this thing a summer tournament for a reason and the break is almost up for most of you school kids out there, if not already.
Having made that resolution, I prepared the necessary precautions in the case of my absence so that the tournament would still run as it should even though I myself was not around. I'm sure I mentioned who the second in command was already, and I that person all the necessary information to get the job done with no problems whatsoever. What I failed to do, though, was inform my back up of my move to Kansas, so she remained completely oblivious that she needed to fill in for me until I finally got my internet back up and running, at which point it didn't matter anymore. After surveying the tournament, I have done what I thought to be fair all things considered and the tournament should continue smoothly soon enough.>>

(To protect myself from Sone's rant. Sorry about the loss of your dog bro, I know it hurts.
There was a confusion with mine and Kendo's match that I brought personally to Keno and he told me to keep him updated, and he'd keep the judges updated. I see I wasn't DQed so it means all went well and it has. I there is one post left in my match. .Kinda stinks Kendo is out though. .lol
Sorry to hear about the wrongs in your life though Sone, but think of it this way, things are always dark before they get better.)
