A child's laughter sounds out through the ones followed by an older man's voice. A gentlemen would be associated with this sort of voice. However ones hairs on the back of their neck couldn't help but stand on end. "Your absolutely sure that you smell them up here? We've been wandering for weeks. If say you've lost your touch..." the man threatened through implication as he slipped through the bushes and into the same area as the two shinobi were talking over the corpse. They were about 50 yards offset to the right of them. The man stood about 6 foot tall but was very slim. A well trimmed beard, cut on its sides to resemble serration on a knife. "Lookie! There's a couple of them. See, she wasn't lying.sad" a younger girl in a filthy bloodstained dress would exclaim quite happily. The girl stood between the man and a six foot tall woman, naked same for white and black stripes completely covering her body from head to toe. She was utterly silent next to the two.
ᑃ Kya smiled as her pray backed off, and continued walking until Chet said something about mercenaries. Everything he said prior she simply found amusing. Still she focused in on his words about the rogue ninja village. "Wait, you've been to a village of rogues? Chet, that's it. You're going to take me to the bears and teach me how to summon them. I demand to go on an adventure with you, you crazy ********. Jeez, you really got really strong really fast man." She almost admired his growth. "Oh, and to clarify I do not go around door to door. I only approach the worthy to push them to be better, or put the weak on the fast track to greatness or destruction. I always keep it light regardless, unlike my weight with alcohol, which I'd like for you to share, dammit." With that, she would fully expect him to float some of his liquor to her.
Lord knows her controller would love some.
Kya's defenses always went up at the sound of children's laughter. She opened her eyes again, the red glowing bright in the forest even against the light of the sun. They found their targets, hearing their voices and seeing the somewhat offsetting visage. "Chet... I don't like this feeling I'm getting from them." She pointed, hoping he saw them too and she wasn't crazy. She gripped her nodachi all the more tightly.
Chet didn't process most of what Kya had said about him training her in the forest of bears. The bears were pretty stingy with who they allowed to live. Part of him still doesn't fully understand why they didn't straight up kill him during the several weeks he spent there. But his attention was definitely caught by the little group of unique individuals watching from a far. "They look like a shitty introduction to a new arc." Chet said without looking at Kya. "Like they seem strong, but I know we'll beat them and then find out they were just like the Beta Squad." Chet took into consideration Kya's words about the nature of the individuals. The sharingan let her do all sorts of spooky s**t. He wondered how he should approach the situation. Mad rage and power or serene focus and power. The curse mark was aching to release itself. Some times it felt like it had a life of its own. "I know how to test their intent." Chet announced before burping and leaning down to pick up the man that Kya had just killed. "HOT POTATO!" Chet shouted as he flung the body at the three mysterious people. He looked over at Kya and grinned "only villains would deny a game of corpse hot potato" Full proof system.

The child continued to laugh as the man with the short knife lightly swung it in the direction of the flying hot potato. Sliced clean in two, as well as the trees behind it, the trees behind those, and continuing on for quite a distance, it appeared that the forest had been clear cut. While the slice had been angled up at the body, and thusly easy able to duck under, the appearance of the silent woman rushing forward was not to be underestimated. Her first target was Chet, mainly due to his 'body misdirection', and to this, she swiped down low to try and get him into the air for the knife's flying slice. Louder and louder, the child giggled and laughed, "Ehehehe, aaahahahahaha!"
ᑃ What the ******** was Chet talking about, a beta squad? A shitty arc? His words almost stopped her from looking when he through the corpse at the two of them, but she remained focused either way. Her eyes narrowed as the man moved his hand nonchalantly. She could see how the trees were being cut cleanly through, as if his knife edge was much longer than it was. An immediate panic set in. "Down! Now!" she would call out. She, however, used her blade to push up off the ground and get air borne, bringing it up with her as she cleared the danger zone as she perceived it. That, however, was not all as she would immediately rotate her body and bring the weight of her weapon down on the black and white woman, aiming to carve through her skull with a deceive blow, right from the get go.
That little girl's laughing was incessant, but she ignored her, keeping the knife of doom in eyes view while trying to take down the woman.

The moment chet flung the body his body would flop on the ground in one clean motion. Looking up at the sky he'd notice ripples in the air. Kya had warned him to get down. A bird hopped it's way towards his face and spoke to him. Due to his curse mark the oni could now quite literately speak to animals. The bird had an oddly deep and manly voice. "She going to kill you, you know. Better get up." Whether or not the bird actually existed at that moment was up for debate. Chet watched Kya fly into the air and slam down on the woman who apparently was aiming for himself. Following his ally the right side of the Oni's body would mutate into a grotesque appearance. His right arm would essentially become a large mallet. If the silent woman managed to avoid Kya's decisive blow she would be immediately greeted by Chet's flesh mallet that had the density of actual steel. And my mates are all there tryin' talk me down cause I'm shouting your name all over tooown. In Chet's mind a nice little pop love song played. It was his attempt at controlling the rage that came with using his curse mark. Would it work? Who knows, but one thing is for sure. The Script definitely peaked and that is a shame.

Kanzaki rolled up to the woods because he can kinda sense negative emotions while on this village patrol gig, plus he was given permission to sorta auto-know since it's an event that literally no one knows anything about. He'd been chilling and walking, using Kya's Shakujo to do so, when then there were shouts and trees falling and nonsense, so he went to check it out. Because if you really think about it, he's Kanzaki. That's what put him a couple of feet to the rear of Chet and Kya as they joined the fray, the white haired young man scratching his cheek.

All the spooks were coming out, including another oni. Sung didn't know what was going down but it looked like a fight, which meant he was the hell ready to jump into this b***h.
"YO BRO, JUST POINT ME WHERE I GOTTA SWING" he shouted, very untactically as he ran into the fray. Who bro was was arguable, but probably Chet. Probably.
The dual toned woman who was being attacked from behind, above, and in front, took no notice when the man's slash collided with her head, and then again from Kya's blade. Kya's blade, being more physical, stopped at the woman's head, and went no further, just as Chet's flesh mallet also stopped on her. No damage, no reaction, nothing. Up in the air, with nowhere to dodge, nothing to hold her back from being grappled, except for the length of the sword. The two toned woman grasped Kya's blade with her left hand, and Chet's flesh mallet handle with her right, twisting 180 and down to try to bring both into the direct effect of the far man's next knife swipe.
Now cackling more than with childish laughter, the little girl's hysteria started to become clouded with a green, drippy fog. Flowing out along the grass, the malicious, billowing volumes of potential death would certainly take a lot of time to fill the area. Seizing the opportunity, the tall male held his knife horizontally, flat edge facing the wide swath of area in front of him. Taking a few steps backwards, the child playfully pranced to behind him, just in time for his movements. Swinging the knife forward, a great invisible wall pushed the cloud forward, filling the forest in front of him with a terrible dose of something heinous. The trees, also now sliced clean from their bases, would be caught up in the devastation and pushed outward.
Nobody said this was going to be easy. To quote Sun Tsu's first essential for victory, "1 He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight." If further provoked, who knows how the immediate area will turn out? In cases of overwhelming might, retreat is an honorable action.

Flat Knife: C-rank movement towards y'all, S-rank impacting power at chest height. No upright trees barring the way (up close), as they are being flung forward to amplify the area of the attack. Those just arriving will also encounter the still taller standing trees being knocked over on to them, as they are further away. Dual Toned Woman: Grapple at C-rank, twisting motion at A-rank. (if grapple maintain is successful)
ᑃ She saw just in time to react. What fun was it to be able to see and react, such as she was. She attempted to take Kya's sword in her hand after literally not flinching at the impact. Kya touched the ground and very quickly twisted the large weapon just barely out of way of the woman's attempted seize. Kya looked to see the coming gas, and the attack, but was too slow to actually avoid the gas, which flowed over the entirety of the area. Almost immediately, the Uchiha Curse was constrained. Even still, as her eyes tried to close themselves, Kya sprinted backwards, running towards the trees that yet stood. With ecveptional timing she jumped to jab her nodachi into a coming, fallen tree and used the momentum and rotation to launch herself at one of the ones soon to be knocked down. She ran along the trunk, getting just high enough that when it was knocked over she wouldn't need chakra to keep her upward motion. She leaped, her vision being restricted starting to affect her a bit adversely. She took the moment as she rose, jumping from the tree, to expel a mase of dense and intense fire from her gullet backwards towards the girl and the man. Uchiha fire, this was, and easy to counteract it would not be.

Fornicate an anatidae. Things were happening. More were showing up, but all the same Chet fled the encounter with the quickness. Kanzaki's busted a** would now have to put out, and soon apparently. It had been quite some time since he'd had a Sharingan in his previous lives, so in this new incarnation it'd take some getting used to. He'd no predictive sight to see the wall of gas and foliage rolling towards him anyways. Kya had been gassed and was bouncing around. It apparently wasn't deadly in an instant. Some of the forest was gone, more coming at him. She'd gone up and over so he gathered the other Uchiha had already done this once already.
Zebra lady was also naked. Kanzaki approved.
Further away, he took the luxury of drawing his sword in a downward grip, keeping two fingers straight along the grip to form the seal of confrontation and gather his chakra, then bounded along successively higher branches until he was at the top. It was by then his first technique would take effect, paralyzing the cackling human larvae was was breathing toxic gunk. A second longer and the invisible wall came for him too, and he leaped up and over them with a cool few flips, getting a good breath of the gas himself. Kanzaki would come down to plant his feet on the thin trunk of a tree still flailing through the air, pulling his bandages left arm out of his yukata sleeve, transferred his sword to it, and vanished in a cloud of leaves once he got sight of his target.
A burst of foliage heralded his arrival across the stumpy expanse of their battlefield, to the rear and slightly to the little girl's left side.I was saving this jutsu for Kya, but c'est la vie.Pivoting on his heel, he brought his right hand to bear, cupping an imaginary sphere, filled with a stable, spiraling vortex of chakra soon after, arcing the path of his hand's thrust down and up at the small of the little girl's back, aiming to send her into the man with the knife, and both of them up at Kya's Great Fireball.

Chet seemed to have peaced out but Sung wouldn't be shaken by that. These baddies meant business of the highest caliber with all the s**t they were throwing out which meant he had to keep up. Sliding underneath the blast that eviscerated the forest, rip bambi, He was quick to deal with the smog for this teammates. Making sure that all of his teammates were within a safe range the oni whipped his gunbai around to use Toppuu [ Squall ] (A Rank Strength), a massive windstorm whirlwind surrounding the fighting group that would funnel, hopefully, the gas up into the air above them or far the hell away from them. Over the hills, and beyond into the walls of central Konoha, a high pitched singing shattered the relative silence. Carrying out to the forest, while slightly less audible, the three invaders' ears picked it up. As if practiced and on cue, the dual hued woman's movements went backward as Kya deftly dodged and ran. Another step or so from each of them, and while the unfazed woman grasped the little girl and the knife man's wrists, Kya's gigantic fireball began its descent. Only now, Kanzaki was in the way as well, but alas, his attacks struck the little girl before the fireball landed, engulfing the area in a heated blaze.
With the inferno raging, and gaining steam, even as the trees toppled over like dominos, Sung's arrival and subsequent actions caused several events to occur. First, the trees in Sung's direction stopped falling over at a quick pace, with further fells belonging only to those trees that had no supports in place. Secondly, the winds interacted with the poison and fire, negating further doses (thank goodness!), but aggravating the fires' destructive potential. If Kanzaki was still alive, he would certainly need treatment soon, and the others too if they stayed in the forest. [Dehydration, 1 dose] This was especially important to those that had received a dose of the poison, as any effect brought on by it stayed in place, and would continue to persist.
Within the inferno, three pairs of eyes glared out, and then down at the ground in front of them. Smoldering at their feet, a spherical ball of iron poured smoke from one side. Ordinarily, the smoke from such a marble would be small, and insignificant at best, but this one was fuming at a grandiose rate. The little girl, looking back at the man who might or might not still be there trying to attack her, glanced down at her lower back and grinned. Giggling, and then full on laughing maniacally, she swung out with her free hand towards the red hot ball of smoke. Lifting it off the ground, she stuffed it into a pocket before flashing her teeth at the tall man. In return, the man tapped the third crew member on the shoulder. Responding, all three of the strange folks parted ways with the ground, first floating up at an angle, and then directly careening at an arc high into the air towards Konoha and the melodious singing.
Leaving all three of the remaining combatants behind, the fire's roaring spread engulfed a nearby camping ground, and then two more on the far side of the blaze. Screams of panic and fear were threatened to be silenced by the heat at all three locations, and if it weren't for the current destruction and bunched up, broken foliage, the fires surely wouldn't have spread so quickly. This left the Konoha-nin with a pickle, a jam, and a situation between a rock and a hard place: they could either chase after the three flying antagonists, or stay behind to rescue the innocents. The near sided innocents were close enough that only a single extra dehydration dose would be accumulated from those rescuing them, and with rather little fear of the impending fire. The other two locations had quite a bit more raging flames, and even if they were quenched, the dual threat of trees continuing to fall, and two more doses of dehydration meant that it was a considerably more difficult mission to save them.
In all regards, both these villains and this current situation was a dire turn of events.

Man if s**t hadn't been hitting the fan it just upped it to OVERDRIVE. First fire going nuts and then a semi sand storm sweeped over the area after the pair of villains seemed to run off. His blood boiled to chase after them but Sung pulled himself back from doing that. Instead he'd shout at his allies "I need one of you to go and get the civilians that are farther out, I'll get the other two locations. The last person can give chase to those assholes! You guys look like your better off staying hydrated anyways!"
With a cheap grin Sung jumped off into the forest where he went to rescuing the civilians from the flames and sand. Thank god he had his strength and conditioning training, not that it would help with the dehydration but lifting and carrying them around it definitely would.
