"Yea, I kind of like just pretending to be human all the time, it means you don't have to constantly worry about some other creature going to stab you in the back for something stupid, humans can't really do that much damage." Bane arched a brow. Do I avoid people? Of course he avoided annoying people. And the Night World was full of self-serving bastards who were even worse. He had a few people he talked to. His only real friend he could think of was V. "I guess you could call me a recluse."

Laura thought for a moment she could tell them how her manacle fake brother was trying to kill V and torture Red but that may cause them to get rather peeved at her for being his accomplice. She transform and gathered her clothes from around the front yard, "I'd rather not but I suppose." She grinned, "but first," -she turned her attention to V- "may I come in. it's rather chilly out here and well." She didn't need to finish that seeing as she was still missing a few articles from her person.

Bane nodded. "Call it what you will." He took another slug of his beer. The night called to him, but he felt worn out having been out all day. He knew he needed sleep. "What brings you to the city, anyways?"
V bit his lip considering, he knew what she was thinking but he could defend himself against the brat if she decided to go all mad scientist again, that he knew. He arched a brow at Shaylene. If she didn't like the idea, then he'd bar her out as he had her brother.

Shaylene looked from Laura to Vitae, then sighed. With a shake of her head, she pulled out the ribbon that held her hair back and then slipped it into her pocket. Well I'm not partial to being stabbed.
