Lucind Varhetel "...yes, of course," Lucind nodded, foreboding unpleasant information. "Your blood was used to create clones, clones that have been slaughtered, tortured, mutilated, and altered in order to produce serums that allow the war beasts Ymiristan was creating to mimick your powers. I destroyed as much as I could myself, but even I don't have access to all the labs, Dr. Iskugawa delegated power among his staff, and they are still protecting his abominations from my reach. I'm sorry you were used like this, but what was done to Vahn is far, far, worse."The preacher sighed, "The threads holding Vahn's arm together are no ordinary threads," the preacher said, "From what I gathered before Iskugawa's staff stopped speaking to me altogether, they were crafted from the body of Yaits by Dr. Iskugawa himself. They are deep inside him, swirling around the meat of his arm in what they call a triple helix array. The details are greek to me, but it is designed to feed Vahn's darker spirit. I hope Vahn isn't the type of man who harbors deep hatred or cherishs revenge, because that is the type of mindset the threads feed on. Even anger or hostility is dangerous with those threads holding his arm together. I heard if enough power builds up, it can be released into an horrible attack, but using the attack requires the user to sell a small portion of his soul to the threads, the attacker becomes the victim, literally losing his more of his mind, more of his control, every time he uses the attack.
Is he here? I have to see if I can't purify the wound. If not, Vahn must be warned against taking advantage of that ability, ever. He must be warned against holding hatred, grudges, anger, hostility, or thoughts of revenge as well. That's why I came here. have you seen him, as he been acting at all........ strange. In any way?"

"..."
When he first told her about the perverted things Yaits had done with her blood the woman just stared at him. If you had had the chance to look into her head right then, you would've seen two tornados fighting against each other: the one containing thoughts of shock and horror and questions like what was going to happen if other Sirens found out about that - whereas the other protested against believing the preachers story at all.
However, when Lucind heard about the abnorm power of the threads in Vahn's arm, she leaned back, lowered her head and - started to chuckle, and then to laugh quietly. Not that she really sounded amused and for the moment her laughter wore traces of resignation and sheer astonishment.
"Well, it would've been a pleasure to introduce you to Vahn's other side, a lovely manifestation of his instincts and 'negative' emotions. We had a nice tea party in Vahn's head, you see - unfortunately, you're a bit too late, there would have surely been a free seat for you...
Anyway, unless he sneaked out of the back door he should be still in the building."
The Half-Siren stared at the preacher, smiling...not caring that her sarcastic tone probably made him feel even more guilty. She wished for something to smash.
((Btw, how much time has passed since we left Yaits Hospital in your story line? Cause in my time frame it's only 3-4 months and I wondered how they managed to make the clones grow that fast.))

(Aging Virus from the Temple, The same thing they used on Red to make her a vessel for Ymir. I'll get a link to where it is discussed, revealed if you wish. Basically, Yaits city was pretty much designed to be an evil maniac's wet dream.)
sweatdrop "That doesn't sound too promising," the preacher said, sensing her disdain, but getting up from the table with a sense of urgency. "If I had time to take a beating, I would gladly comply, but I must catch Vahn before he leaves."
He knew he'd most likely get a beating attempting to dispel or at least seal the threads power.

((Uh yea, sorry about that.))
He had stopped at the bottom of the stairs, looking around before catching sight of Owle coming right behind him.
Running a hand over his stubble he gave a slight smile. "Sorry for the wait."

Slowly, a smile spread across Owle's face, as her feet took the last steps toward him. "It's no problem."
She just stood like that for a while, smiling at him, wanting to just forget everything and kiss him right then...
A face flashed through her mind. Red hair.
"Are you gonna let me come down the stairs?" she asked, teasingly. After all, standing right at the bottom like that, he was blocking her way.

"Ah-- right."
He smiled-- abashed -- before stepping in and kissing her gently.
That's right... This is right?
He didn't exactly know what his body was doing, but he felt it was the right thing to do, despite the awkwardness they had been sharing.
Is it.. Yea, it is.
"Thank you... for waiting."
Not really good with this sort of thing...

"If I had time to take a beating, I would gladly comply, but I must catch Vahn before he leaves."He knew he'd most likely get a beating attempting to dispel or at least seal the threads power. The Half-Siren simply stared up at him for a couple of seconds, seemingly hesitating to help the man. In fact, she concentrated on all sounds around, her ears twitched lightly, though. Then she got up, pushing her chair back under the table. "Follow me." Lucind guided the preacher behind the counter into the kitchen, and on the other side of the room, probably still standing on the stairs, they were to see Owle and Vahn.

Not making this easy for me...
...you still going to want this, when we find him?
She was too busy kissing him to voice her reservations.
"Ah..."
The door to the kitchen swung open as Owle was fumbling for something to say.
"You're welcome."
And she turned to look. Lucind...and some dude.
Something in the way their eyes were fixed on Vahn, just some feeling in the air around them, prompted Owle to inwardly groan.
Now what?

The preacher breathed a sigh of relief in his mind, relaxing somewhat when he saw Vahn, he recognized him from the hospital. It was hard to forget that determined yellow glare from those bright eyes. There was a temptation to cast an incantation to attempt the sealing of the powers placed in Vahn's arm right then and there, but the precher knew that such haste, would certainly be alarming and the attempt would meet in failure, as well as not being the polite or prudent thing to do. As the preacher's soft green eyes attempted to meet Vahn's, they were filled more with sadness and resignation than determination.
"Vahn." he said, wondering if Vahn would even remember ever seeing him, "I'm a preacher. We need to talk about your arm."
The preacher never really introduced himself properly, other than to say he was a preacher, and he never gave his name.

"I'm sorry, you'll have to forgive me if parts of my body are aethist."
He grinned slightly, even as he stared towards Lucind questiongly. He didn't have a clue as to why a man of the cloth would be bothering him right now, let alone about his arm?
"Look, Lucind, I'm grateful, but I really don't have time for this."
He placed his left hand onto the man's shoulder and patted it gently, trying to walk past with Owle.
"Nice meeting you."

Owle's hand clapped over her mouth, stifling a giggle. Maybe it really was just that simple.
She would follow after Vahn; the preacher was equally unimportant to her, after all. Though she felt a growing curiousity at what it was he wanted...
If Vahn didn't need to know, then she wasn't about to try and find out.

Lucind snorted and crossed her arms in front of her chest, obviously having a hard time to stay calm.
"I didn't actually invite him.
But don't you remember? He's the man on Yaits' side...or...was," she added, shooting a glance at the preacher.
"I think you should give him a minute, Vahn. Maybe you're not in the mood for stories - but it would surprise me if you didn't feel like having milk and cookies with that one."

((30 million people distracting me as I write this, or at least it might as well be. mad )) Owle Owle's hand clapped over her mouth, stifling a giggle. Maybe it really was just that simple. "Young lady," the preacher said, tapping his staff hard against the wooden floor to get some attention. His white robes lifted around his ankles, revealing brown docksides, socks, and pant bottoms. "This situation is not in the least funny.
As for you Vahn, Edward Yaits put something inside of you which he intended to use to control you, possibly kill you, and it has not gone away simply because he is dead. Nor will it go away because you refuse to believe it. If you care one iota about yourself and those around you, you'll let me see about healing that abomination in your arm!"In fact, with Yaits dead, the portion of the Ymir's conscience within Vahn's arm was more dangerous than ever. There was no telling who or what could attempt to use it to their advantage if they discovered it.
