He was right. He had a quickster on his hands. Upon seeing the boy rushing at him, Soneko had also gathered that the boy hadn't prepared an attack while coming at him head-on. Previous battles had told him that when this happened, the opponent was not going to attack from the front. He had been right, as the young boy's figure had disappeared just before making contact, and since Soneko didn't see the boy in front of him or catch any moving figures out of the corners of his eyes, that could have meant two things. He was either above him or behind him. Soneko dropped to a knee, leaning his upper body forward, placing both palms flat on the ground, allowing his chest to become parallel with the ground. He looked over his shoulder to see the boy attempting a heel to where Soneko's head would have been. But again, the boy's body vanished. It appeared as though the boy hadn't expected Soneko to drop to the ground like he did, as he was now jabbing at the empty space where the boy had thought Soneko would still be.
He saw the opening in the boy's torso. He had used his right fist to deliver a blow which rendered his entire right side defenseless. While Soneko had the urge to take the more than open shot, he decided to give the kid a break. Still on one knee, he turned his body 180 degrees and stood up, bringing his right shoulder under the boy's right tricep. He grabbed at the fox's forearm and pulled forward and down while leaning his own upper body forward. Not only would the force of Soneko's pulling lift the boy's feet off the ground, but the fact the momentum that the fox had put into the attack aided Soneko's cause, which was to flip his opponent's body over his back and slamming him onto the stone below him.
As soon as he had finished his movement, he bent his knees for a moment, then launched himself backwards a solid five feet, giving himself distance from where the boy would lay on the ground, if Soneko's maneuver had been successful.

Just as he had thought, taking the first move had put him at a disadvantage. It was one he was never able to work around unless he stayed at a distance, but that was boring. Did he see the man move? Yes. But it was too late by the time he had decided to try to do something about it. However, he wasn't left as open as he appeared either. It was not beyond him to comprehend that an extended limb was a dangerous thing to be used against oneself, and though he had plenty of time to maneuver himself a bit better, he decided to let himself be thrown.
Not to give his foe an advantage however, but to catch him unawares. True his right arm was caught unawares, but his left was his own still and he used it to his advantage. Grabbing his challenger around the waist as he began his arc over the back, he performed an unnatural shift despite not having a solid center beneath him. It was all thanks to his ki honestly, but anything to get the edge, right? His feet seemed to plant themselves firmly in the air as he took the momentum of the throw and began to lift his opponent off the ground.
The result was a rotating spin in which young Kenta went from being bent backwards to leaning forward, hurling his doubled over foe towards the ground before landing back on the ring floor. If his opponent stood straight up, Kenta would be directly behind him, which was not particularly to either's advantage, but the kitsune remained close all the same.

The boy could think on his feet, Soneko would give him that. How the young fox had managed the reverse the throw, Soneko wouldn't know since his vision was a blur from moving so quickly, but it couldn't have been natural. His back met stone with a force that knocked the air from his lungs. As that was, Soneko couldn't help but smile inwardly. This was gonna be fun. Soneko arched his back and swung his feet upwards, the momentum carrying him into a handstand. Bending his knees once again, he waited for his body to get at just the right angle. He extended both of his legs in a flash, aiming to plant both feet solidly against the young fox's chest. He pushed himself upwards with his hands, launching him ten feet into the air. He almost seemed to stay suspended in the air as his body rotated to it's right-side-up position. Now above and behind the fox, he tucked his left leg up slightly while keeping his right extended.
Had anyone been watching, they would see Soneko's figure drop as if suddenly being yanked downwards, the sole of his boot coming down hard towards his opponent's backside. Should the technique fail, Soneko's foot would come crashing down onto the stone with an extreme force, which wouldn't feel too good, but he could bear with the pain, and it would have put the fox on the run.

Fortunately for Kenta, his opponent was quick on his toes as well. This meant that neither of them could afford to make a mistake if they were going to stay on top of this fight. Good. He enjoyed actually having to work for his victory, even in friendly competition. Not even he could keep the smile from etching itself on his face.
This time, it was a bit easier than last. Kenta was still kicking himself for leaving his arm out like that, but it was better than letting his opponent kick him for not paying any damn attention. As soon as he saw both boots coming for his chest, his hands shot out to catch both feet at the ankles, but it wasn't enough to hold off the attack.
It hurt quite a bit to take two feet straight to the chest, but Kenta endured it nonetheless. Not losing his footing or a moment edgewise, he slid his left foot behind him in a wide arc, planted it, and rotated at the hips, swinging his adversary around and releasing him after a 180 degree spin. This wouldn't hurt much, but it would separate the two and give them both a moment to gain their footing; Kenta wasn't much for kicking a man while he was down.

“Is this what they’re teaching kids these days…?” In the stadium stands, as far removed from the ring as one could get, sat a dark and silent figure melded into the shadows. The building void of any he had once considered comrades, he had retired himself to lurk in the background this… less-then-amazing fight. The boys were all over the place, abstract attacks, open guards, it even seemed like they were letting each other land blows! Either they were both going easy on one another, or they were rusty… or, it came to him as a side-note, the quality of fighters within Orions walls had greatly diminished.
It had been ages since he’d made his way into this club known as Orion, but he had been keeping a subtle eye on things from his shadowy realm. Jade, Keno, User. He was sure they had felt him through one of his windows at least once. And Fierce… he was sure that Fierce had felt him. But he'd had little time for eaves dropping as of late; he’d been traversing the other realms, chasing something, or someone… trying to put an end to the destruction, destruction on the same scale that he had once caused.
But for the moment he was on siesta; a quiet break, overseeing amateur combat. His power level was non-existent, and kept that way intentionally. Unless one of them was turned projectile and launched his way, he wanted to stay un-noticed and simply enjoy the show.
(( ninja For the record, I am enjoying this fight quite alot. Carls kinda’ overly critical >.>;; haha ninja ))

He felt a grip around his ankles and knew what was coming next. As soon as the boy had released him, Soneko arched his back and tucked his knees to his chest, taking him into a back flip. As gravity began to have his way with his body, he extended his right leg behind him, keeping his left tucked. His right foot made contact with the smooth stone. The rubber on the bottom of his boots made good traction as he leaned his body forward, allowing his left foot to touch the ground again, skidding to a stop. As quickly as he regained his footing, he was off again, a blur to even the trained eye. He closed in on the fox and leaped into the air, bending his right knee and extending it towards the center of the boy's face. He kept his left leg stiffly behind him. He reached forward and wrapped his hands around the back of the young fox's head, pushing it just barely under the reach of Soneko's knee.
Instead of crushing the boy's face as he'd originally intended, he aimed the sole of his foot to the back of the fox's head and attempted to jump off of it, which, given the amount of force Soneko had put into the leap, should have knocked the boy face-first into the hard stone below. Again bringing his knees to his chest and curling himself into a ball. A front flip and a mid-air 180 turn would leave Soneko facing his opponent as he landed on the ground with a soft tap.
