(( i know you did. i'm not trying to take anything away from you. i was just trying to come up with a way to roleplay my growth from a very, very, very crappy roleplayer to a halfway ok one. and i tried to come up with some other form of power then just power. sorry to have confused you. yeah, nothing personal was meant in it. i was just trying to post my chary's mentality and thinking process. its kinda hard to do for me, but i tried atleast. help and tips is always appreciated. where do you live. it seems when i am on, people arnt, and when people, im not.))

Yo-ko grabbed himself a bottle of his favorite blue sake that always seemed to be kept in the same place forever sense he had been here. He pulled it out and placed it on the counter with a dull thud, revealing it to be full of its contents. He turned around to grab him a glass, not wanting to completly free-load of hospitality but still wanting something to drink, as an idea hit him. A second glass prehaps? He looked around the bar, trying too see if he could get a good glance into the lounge. Even if he couldnt see, his good hearing could pick up a converstation matching the lady and the man that she walked with. No matter how "evil" yo-ko still was, he completly understood the means of privacy and didnt harden his ears or eavsdrop. He just went back to what he did normally: think, plan, act.

He grabbed himself a glass and put it on the bar to pore himself some sake as his eyes flicked up to look at the second glass. For 10 seconds or so he did this, still undecided of his course of actions. He didn't want to be romantically involved with her, or anyone in this bar really, he just wanted to have a good time on his self proclaimed "home-comming." He knew nothing about her; who she was, where she came from, what her powers where. Nothing. Not only that, Yo-ko and his cheap little tricks and antics really racked the nerves of most people easly. The only way he could talk to most people was when they where drunk, and then they didnt understand him or care to understand him at that point. So in a last discision snort and laugh, Yo-ko gave up the idea of bring her a drink. Maybe some other time. She is having fun already.

Yo-ko walked out past the bar to go in and meet some other people, maybe see if they would stop, give a old time friend a "hi-ya" if it was called for. Still, he couldnt get her off his mind. His race was so far stretched and thin that it was very rare to meet another fox demon. He just wanted to know her. He wanted to know everyone a little better. Like always, whenever Yo-ko had a corny little plan, he had a sheepish smile/grin that came on his face as he took a sip of his sake. Walking in a very balanced, composed, and warrior like manner with his drink in hand, he walks over to the vicinity of Jade and user, hoping to get a good conversation starting with old friends again.

<~>Oh I didn't feel offended or anything. I just didn't want you to feel like you were so out of league here. That is to say, if you want to show how weak he is compared to most, Jade or User might be a better comparison. I live in the CST zone, but right now I'm on Pacific Time. When school starts back up again, I won't be around until summer likely. And I will post again right after Valin.

Valin just nodded, his face still pale. His mind was still swimming from the images scarred into his mind by sheer brute force. He could feel the pain ripple in the Force. It was easing a bit now, becoming something incomprehensible rather than something nearly unbearable. Anger welled up in Valin - how could Rutum do this?! But he quelled his rage almost as quickly as it started, it served no purpose for a Jedi. It would distract and lead him down a path too familiar if he simmered on it too long. So he pushed the anger away...

The Jedi nodded, "I think that's my destiny. To stop him. It feels like the path the Force has chosen for me."

He reached desperately into the Force, looking with his mind's eye into the very essence of life himself for a trace of the Dark Lord of the Sith... and yet... nothing. He was gone, once more, Valin sighed, "He will show himself again... in time. He looks to show off. He likes to show us his power. And eventually that'll mean he'll want to do so in person."

"Then let him come."

She sounded at once inviting and threatening, as though she did not fear Rutum at all, despite his evading every known method of detection she could muster. That Valin felt it was his duty to stop Rutum at all costs was both an advantage and disadvantage to them both, and Red was determined to be the voice of reason if not a major player in the upcoming confrontation.

With little else to say on the matter for now, she decided the both of them could use a change in atmosphere, even if that meant she had to go back out to the main room where damn near everyone was. Rising slowly she cast him a glance that would announce the end of the conversation should Valin pay attention, as well as invite him to take his mind off of things and join the others. He was better at socializing than she and there were several people he probably knew or wouldn't mind meeting. For her part, she thought it better not to stick so close to him until he was pleasantly lost in the other company he could keep. All the best for her...

Looking out of the lounge, she took a deep breath and sighed before entering the main room again. Not wanting to speak to the Saiya-jin woman, the female kitsune focused her attention on the bar, where she could sort other matters out peacefully, if not maybe speak with someone else whose opinion might mean something to her.

Valin didn't quite like 'Then let him come' comment. It sounded brave and powerful but he still didn't quite like it. She seemed too sure of it. Valin... didn't want to kill the man. He wanted to redeem him, but that just felt too impossible. He would do what needed to be done if it came to that, but redemption was always an option. In effect, what he really wanted was to kill Rutum - but bring the human trapped within the Sith back. Whatever was his destiny, whatever the Force willed, that's what would happen ultimately though.

He lifted himself from the table, following Red closely behind. Being around people would hopefully drown out the brooding feelings that lingered from the conversation. He just needed to relax...

(( its not that he is weak, it is that he started off very different from most the other characters, as well as have a fighting and lifestyle that is very misunderstood as the lack of strength.))

Yo-ko was midstride when his awarness made him look at the kitsune lady start walking to the bar. Had his ears been visible and not hidden, the tell tale "ear rise" would have been visible as he formulated a thought in his mind. Being a bar-tender, he now had the other two to complete the triangle: means, motive, and oppertunity. It was perfectly natural for a bartender to talk with those he makes drinks for (( clients right?)); it was a perk of the job. Yo-ko, being an overly happy and talkative guy, made a killing off conversation. Then they usual asked about his likes and dislikes and normal personality crap like that. It was there he lost them. Most people just couldnt get him. She being a kitsune might give her the patience to deal with him. It was a oppertunity he couldnt miss.

Pivoting on his foot, Yo-ko does a complete 180 and heads back to the bar, his Haori kicking around in the proccess. In his approach, he plans how he might go about this conversation.

I could do it the bad-a** way, sensetive, or creep. i would prefer not to do the later. Oye....dealing with new people can be so difficult. As Yo-ko approached the bar, he remembered she was, after all, a warrior; Bad a** would only piss her off more then she already was. Yo-ko also wasnt too good at the sensitive part too. He tended to over act and react in that case. A little voice in the back of his head said "just be Yo-ko....." Like in all survival situations, that little voice was always right if you like it or not. Over the years, Yo-ko learned to trust it. It was here and now that he made a pact with himself: eliminate all persona's. You are Yo-ko now. It is hard enough already to be him alone with out others added on. His approch would be normal, good old Yo-ko. That was the scary part....

He walked past her to get behiend the bar doing a silent check/inventory of the selection that he could get her if requested. Turning around after he stood beheind the bar, Yo-ko dawned a face of pure inquiry.

"Hey Kitsun-ita, is there anything i can get you today? My name is Yo-ko. I'm a Bartender here at the Orion. Well, part time at least........"

(( Sorry for the lack of play. Been working. DDD; ))

:: The sudden deluge of people was more than the little girl could bear: she bolted.

Not far; only into the kitchen, as she was still hungry and she hadn't missed the young woman's approval to use it. She waited for a moment, staring back out past the door, the gentle flow of life suddenly making the open room seem daunting. It had seemed so welcoming and homey only a moment before, when it was empty. But the addition of people...

She shook herself out of her thoughts and started to unbutton her long coat. It was much warmer inside the club than it had been outside, and with the heavy coat, becoming exceedingly hot. She pulled her arms from the sleeves and tossed the garment back out the door to the floor where her bag lay, and then stretched her limbs: arms, legs, tail... It flickered out behind her, a long and bushy fox's tail with fur as red as her hair. It felt good to let it out from under the coat, and almost as though it had a mind of its own, it swished back and forth, keeping time to music only it could hear.

She pulled open the refrigerator and peered up into it, seeking out yummy munchables that would satisfy her growling tummy, and after a few moments, shouldered the door shut with an armful of peanut butter and jelly jars, a soda, thickly-sliced white bread, a bag of apples. As she pushed the items up onto the counter, she frowned; it was obvious that this place was not built for midges. Glancing apprehensively at the door, the girl sighed. ::

"Shikata nai damon."

:: Looking back up at the counter, she concentrated for a brief moment. The result of her concentration was immediately clear: she levitated off the floor by a foot or three, until she was arm height with the counter. With a grin, she began work, floating here and there around the room to gather the items she needed. At long last, there was a meal for a queen: PB & J and an apple with soda. She sat herself on the counter next to her lunch and quietly began to eat, still watching the door.

At least he was here. At least she could sense him. She wished he would appear; how badly she needed to see him. But at least she was in the right place. And for now, that was enough. ::

She could sense his intent, though she chose not to pry into his mind, which felt like warm butter to her; ready to cut into at any moment she chose. Perhaps it was not his discipline to keep his thoughts more to himself. It mattered very little to her either way, but it was worth noting.

Turning to her right to face him, she looked unimpressed and uninterested, which was about the warmest greeting he, or anyone, could expect from her the first time around. She nodded politely, her curly red locks flowing over her shoulders as her head dipped, but she eyed silently, all the while debating whether or not to answer him with a gesture or with speech. She could smell the essence of his being, the kitsune that he really was, something certainly not human, but not inhuman either. It was a difficult scent to describe.

It was the same sort of scent she caught from the small child that she paid little attention too until the tiny thing ran into the kitchen. The difference between the small girl and this mature male, aside from gender and age, was that there was something else familiar about the child. Red herself could not exactly mark it, but there was a some connection between her and that girl less than four degrees.

"A glass of water would be fine, thank you."

Her voice was commanding, but it flowed like water from her mouth. She could not help sounding like a figure of authority, but she could remove the venom from her words when it suited her. However, her sentiments about foreigners, especially males, had once again made her overlook the fact that she had overlooked introducing herself again, not that she felt particularly inclined one way or another.

Yo-ko looked at her with a certain bit of amazment. He felt...edgy. Like a shadow hiding in a ally, unable to pinpoint its location. It felt like somethign rapping and creeping along the walls of his mind. So she had this ability to enter minds, or at least look into them? Yo-ko couldnt know, but he rememebred the feeling. She had always made him practice crap like that.

The weaknes to entering a mind is the belief that everything felt, heard, say, and thought was genuine. He could rememebr the old hag's words perfectly now as if it where 2 seconds ago; "even emotions, thoughts, and feelings can be weapons Yo-kisato. You have to learn to master yourself, or your opponent can take advantage of your very own essence. You have the abilities to stop them from doing this." Just thinking of old Genkai's lessons made Yo-ko cringe inside. They had always proved brutally effective and neccessary when it came to tougher opponents.

He remembered her very unusual mastery of the Reiki and most spiritual arts as well as physical arts. When revealing what a mastered and balanced mind, body, and spirit could do she usd to say on thing and do another. she could even pretend to focus her spirit someplace else. When yo-ko learned to invade others mind with his spirit, she was even thinking another attack as well. it was really annoying. Yo-ko wasnt quite to that level, but he still strived and exeeded even the best "masters" of themselves. Illusionists. Thats all they where.

Yo-ko knew when he met a true spiritualist and warrior. Even if they never accepted the title, you could never be a good fighter withoug being a decent spiritualist. A trinity is needed: you cant fight on the Shadows level with only two you openly use. He could feel her spirit radiantly. she was a Real combatant. He just hoped she would take him deeper the face value. It would be dangerous not to.

Judging by his observations of her so far, she seemed to radiat an anger or a ego like thing about her of pushing people off. This was a difficult aura to break through, but Yo-ko beleived he could do that. The secrets of the Yin-Yang was in everything. If she was hard, Yo-ko would be soft. Everything was in flux to achieve balance.

He heard her request for water in a stern and demanding voice. Just like Genkai. ********, now he actually missed the old hag. He was surprised that even with all his training was wasnt radiating a anger/pity/sadness like feeling around him. That was how he felt. He reached for a glass, and remembered that there was a different way of doing this. He spoke out in a warm, happy, and enjoying life type of voice like he always did with people he knew. Yo-ko always seemed to be effectivly "hi on life."

"Would you like a glass? Bottle? Sparkling? Flavored? I could get you all of that to choose from if you wish, kitsun-ita....."
