The door opened again almost as soon as it was closed, a tall man wearing a thick, heavy cloak strode in. The hood of said cloak easily covered his entire face, the darkness preventing anyone from seeing just who he was. Equally, the cloak easily hid each and every weapon he carried with him.
But this was no threat - this was Valin Lobel! The fantastical and whimsical Jedi Knight, the man who wouldn't hurt a flea... unless that flea really had it coming to it. The man tossed off the hood of his cloak, showing long brown hair, bright emerald eyes, and a bushy goatee - and a goofy smile that only he could acomplish successfully.
"Hiya, peoples!" He shouted aloud, "It's colder than an ice planet out there."

She stopped in her tracks as the doors opened again, no sooner than she had closed them and began to walk away. It just so happened that her Jedi companion had entered the club, which was the person she had intended to run into in the first place. Though she did not show it, she was pleased with getting what she wanted out of this situation after all.
Her soft, bushy tail swayed as she spun around to meet his eyes, her left foot sweeping around her right. She all but ignored his comment on the weather, not having any experience with or concern for the climate of ice planets. Calculating as always she examined him rather than looked at him, her mind working as always to reassess everything she thought she knew about him.
"Valin. If you're not too busy, come with me."
Saying nothing more, she continued on her way to the lounge. It didn't exactly offer her any sort of privacy in this place, but to the least the prying eyes of the club would be less noticeable if there was a wall between the kitsune, her Jedi ally, and the rest of Orion's creatures.

Valin chuckled to himself lightly - he followed the Force straight and true, had been sensing she wanted to talk to him. He, of course, had been busy as always. He was getting use to living life on Earth and while he lived far out of the way of any major city - he had managed to fix together an old speeder bike he had stored away in the cargo hold... though he couldn't quite remember just why he had that there. A little mystery of the Force preparing for the Jedi's future need? Maybe. Valin was extremely forgetful? The more likely answer. Either way, it made getting to major cities much easier. The towns he visited had taken him as a half-crazed hermit - an impression he enjoy greatly.
"Of course, of course!" The lightsaber swinging, Force using war hero said with a certain amount of happiness. He enjoyed his time spent with Red. As different as they were, they seemed to get along well enough. She kept him on his toes mentally and she wasn't half bad to look at, that never hurt.
He followed, his heavy brown boots thumping on the floor loudly with each step. And if you made enough of attention... you could see in his gait that he carried a weapon attached to his leg - a blaster mounted snugly in its holster. Many enemies followed a Jedi and with the Sith around - you could never be too careful, and Valin never forgot the enemies he accidentally brought along with him when he was sucked into this part of the universe...

Yo-ko had been amonst the Orion for quite a while, even if he had left twice. He had gotten around to personally knowing about, if not knowing already, near everyone in the building that called this place there home. His read eyes, scanned the place left to right, right to left as he searched for more people to recognize and remenisce about.
He had never been the "super powered" worrior that many of his friends where: saiya-jins, shadow demons, Orinions((Correction: Orinians. ~Jade)), mages, ninja. In fact, his energy level at birth was less then a human. What came as lemons got turned into lemon-aide as he had found a natural nack and love for Fuu-jutsu or the art of sealing. One thing lead to another as he studied seals in traps, seals in power, seals in containment: everything lead to another love. Soon, he realized he had come farther then anyother seal user recorded. He had written papers, done experiments and other "brainy" like things about his findings; hoping that others might find it useful.
Yet again, he still found himself learning beyond what he knew. Deep laiden in the art of sealing as the energy flow and theory of natural energy. It was in this practice that Yo-ko was able to combine many loves to turn himself into an actual combatant. He used his sealing techniques as well as the energy theorys to seal elements, techniques, weapons and things to his body allowing him an extra edge. Even that wasnt enough. Now days he finds himself inventing tools that he ends up using in battle. Traps and hidden weapons where his favorite specialty.
Then he spied a sight that he hadnt seen in a long time: a female fox. He "Demon-ship" was yet to be confirmed as she seemed to hide her scent well. Yo-ko sniffed in deeply, hoping to find anything to asnwer his questions about her. This was to no avail. Whoever she was seemed to have some bit of Fox-demon about them. His mouth watered a bit at this discovery. Using his left hand, in a nervous gesture, he wips any possible trace of saliva that my have leaked out. It had been a while. way to long....
Yo-ko leaned back against the bar while on the stool, trying to look as relaxed as possible. He then Watched the lady fox walk into the lounge with someone else. Not to be Nosey or anything, but yo-ko felt he had to know. He switched his eyes into his Kitsune eye to see her energy level in her hara and how it flowed about her. What he saw made him slightly jelious. She barred the same signs of a powerful fighter: good flow, high energy in her hara, strong mental to spiritual connection. It was things like that they pushed yo-ko at the edge.
He had to wrok so hard for all his abilites, control, tactics, plans, everything. Yet here are fighters standing before him who where born with a body and spirit of gold. Yo-ko though would prove his place among them. He would show his prowness, his ability. All this research made him itch for a test run; a good old field test: combat.
Yet he had one thing before he would socialize amongst his friends and enemies: drink. Returning his eyes back to there normal form, Yo-ko gets up off his stool and walks behiend the bar, looking for some sake. Being a long time employed part time bar-tender, he knew where everything was...

<~>I'm flattered Yo-ko, but just so you are aware, Red as a warrior has been working her a** off the same as you, and even so isn't nearly at the same level as most of the people in Orion. Actually, from what I read in your post, they pretty much have the same general tactic when dealing with combat. (Since this is both an OOC and IC post, I've used two different formats to separate what is what)
Pleased with Valin's response, and not expecting any other, Red spun around to proceed to the lounge, not expecting him to follow, but assured that he would be close behind. She did not like to be kept waiting, although for the Saiya-jin and the Jedi, she made allowances as a sign of respect in her own manner.
On her way she looked about and noticed at the bar that she was being watched very closely by a male kitsune. Something about him seemed very ravenous, as though a deep hunger settled within him and demanded satisfaction. Foolishly perhaps, she had forgotten the effect she could have on men. It was...easier to please them she was told, but she had no intimate experience of her own.
The male obviously was trying to compose himself, but was hardly successful at being inconspicuous. A large part of her was disgusted. She was sure she had never met him before, but it seemed he already had his own ideal agendas for engaging her, and they hardly seemed appropriate or desirable to her. Perhaps she would be wrong in the end. If not, she still had her hands and feet.
Turning away from him, she entered the lounge finally and took a seat out of anyone's line of sight, which was not entirely hard to do all things considered.

The Jedi slipped into a chair with all the grace that the years of Jedi training afforded him. He generally chose to act as the bumbling fool when it suited the situation, but he felt a need to be somewhat serious for his good friend Red. He knew that if she wanted to talk to him about something, it was important. The fact that she chose to speak away from the others meant it was very important or very secret or perhaps, both.
For a moment, Valin Lobel reached into the Force and sensed the life around him. User was angry, unsocial, and on the look out - par for the course for that man. His anger would be his undoing. There was the child girl, something unusual about that one. Jade... or... another. Less kind, more plotting perhaps. Very unusual. The others, he didn't know well and couldn't easily read unless he probed deeper, an action he chose not to do. Some could pick up on it.
The Light's warrior shifted his attention to Red, a 'force' in the Force to be reckoned with. She shown like a beacon yet he could never easily read her. Part of him wished she was more open, more trusting of him. But he knew better and tossed off those thoughts quickly. He didn't probe her mind, but worried for a moment that she would catch even the barest hints of his attempts to 'read' her life force.
However, the Jedi betrayed no emotion besides his smile nor none of the intense exertion and mental prowess that was required to see into the life of the Force n order to just examine things at the very surface of people with the mind's eye. He was use to it by now, it was his norm.
"At what's this little meeting for?" Valin asked.

She sat and awaited Valin patiently, taking notice of his habitual behavior. It was no insult for anyone in this place to want to be wary of the others in their company, especially considering there were more than a few strangers. Even when he tried to get a sense of her, she ignored him, fairly certain that he would stop before stepping over the line.
For a moment she thought about measuring up the male kitsune outside, but he was of no interest to her so long as he did not transgress her. As such she kept her attention on Valin, waiting patiently for her mind to organize her thoughts and address the issue at hand. With a long sigh she at long last spoke up to him.
"I am not sure if you have access to a television, but there was something on the news a while ago. A few of your other...friends were caught by a satellite in combat with another group of warriors grossly superior to them in most every way. All but one of them, even KenoTao, came close to dying or were rendered unconscious."
She stopped for a moment to reassess her thoughts.
"At first, this did not seem to be a problem, but there have been several conspiracy theories and international debates concerning the material, and it has been televised over again. Tensions are mounting around the world and, sadly, I failed to realize that this might be Rutum's work."
She was careful to leave him a moment to think on this, though she was sure that as a Jedi, he was already more than aware of what she was talking about. Usually she was very quick to put things together, but Rutum's physical absence had all but erased him from her memory until recently.
"What do you know about this?"

((My my my....I have not see the club so active in a long time. >w< *lovin' it.))
Kirra smiled at the girl in a strange, sweet way, an expression more fitted for Jade than her alter ego by most standards. She turned her upper body and gestured towards the kitchenette area with an elegant arm.
"Hai hai. Go right ahead, dear."
The woman turned her green eyed gaze back towards the pale vampire who had come in soon after the child, a small smirk on her face. Could she have possibly heard his mental comment on how she looked? Maybe, it was hard to tell with Kirra though.
Then all of a sudden, like a great flood, people and regulars and rare visitors all entered within moments of each other. A male kitsune whom she didn't recognize, a female one following him that Kirra recalled as Keno-sans would-be killer, and then a crazy hermit man who's memory slipped her mind. Including the two that were in the direction of the arena, the Club had suddenly become rather crowded.
Kirra stood between the tables, bar and kitchen for a moment, glancing around the main room. There wasn't really anyone who called her attention much, seeing as she had already completed her business with User. With the male kitsune getting his own drink, the girl saw no real purpose to hang around much longer.
Resting her hands on her hips, her green eyes slowly shut as she let out a slow, heavy sigh. After a moment of standing still like this, those well-known eyes opened once again. Blinking suddenly, they gazed around the room as if looking at it for the first time.
"My goodness....."
She turned and looked at the child near her, then over at User sitting bored at a table, then towards Andamuel and the rarely seen Yoko at the bar. Two she didn't know very well were in the hallway to the stadium, and the recognizable ki's of the intense Red and Jedi Knight Valin were hidden away behind the walls of the lounge.
"....when did it get so crowded?"
A bright, familiar smile lit the Saiya-jin girls face, as she decided to return to where User sat looking rather bored and unsociable for some reason. Giving his boots a playful shove to get them off of the table, she grinned at him, leaning against the top of the table with one hand.
"You look like you just got punched in the gut. Are you still recovering from our fight, User?"

[[Saving time and energy, now posting as User and Valin.]]
User blinked, confused... Jade must be back. Good. He liked her the most of all. The warrior grinned at his best of friends, "I'm fine. Just all these people... too many to watch," He looked around, obviously on the defense and whispered harshly to Jade, "I don't trust any of them."
He grunted in unhappiness.
--------
Valin sighed in disbelief and frustration. He hadn't seen the battle up close - but the Force was there and the visions had flooded his mind. The Jedi knew the battle as well as other the warriors there... and had felt Rutum's touch in it. His clever swaying with the Dark Side of the Force. At first, he believed it to be an overreaction of his... that the battle had just been a dark one. But the feeling linger and in his meditations, he had come to see the truth behind the veils of lies. Red, equally, just gave him the confirmation he needed.
"I have felt his dark touch in all of this," Valin said quietly, feeling somewhat guilty about dragging this all to them, "But I can't pin him down... he's everywhere and nowhere..."

She almost grunted disgustedly at her and Valin's failure to catch on to this faster and react to it better. As things stood, Rutum had the upper hand. Red had no experience with the Force and Valin was unable to find the Sith's presence or absence in it. He was more elusive than a koan.
Though her contempt and frustration were obvious, she handled them professionally, knowing that Rutum was likely using his power to spy on them even now. If he wanted to, so be it. He might still have something she wanted, but that was to be determined later.
"If we cannot track him, then he likely does not want to execute his plan just yet, which is to our disadvantage since we do not know what he has in mind. You have dealt with him before, so I must ask if there is anything we might be able to do to prepare for his entrance to the stage. Surely he is awaiting something big, and from the looks of it..."
She did not say it out loud because she was confident in her ability to hide her thoughts even from the universe in certain regards. If her theory were correct, it would be detrimental to reveal it just now and Rutum would only prove that more dangerous. Hoping that Valin was on the same track was all she could do, and it made this conversation more difficult to maintain.
"Have you been training?"

Valin frowned, thinking of everything a Sith Lord was likely to do and realized that over the centuries their tactics could be outright and horrifically violent or so subtle but just as deadly. Rutum could fit either profile - he was utterly insane now, his mind both corrupted by the Dark Side and from having the Force stripped from his body when Valin himself had been a Sith Lord. He was warped, a shadow of his former self.
At times he was so in control, at others, he was madness incarnate and insane with rage. In short - Valin wasn't sure what to expected from Darth Rutum and that's exactly what he would tell Red, "I'm... unsure what he will do or what he has planned. Right now he moves with such subtlety that he's probably effecting the smallest outcomes of things to better suit his ultimate goal. But..." He said with another sigh, "I can feel it in the Force... he's hidden himself from my sight..."
He nodded at her other question, "I meditate, I train in combat. I'm staying fit and healthy... and prepared."

Valin was less certain than Red was about what may happen at any point in time. That made her doubtful of her suspicions, but more aware of how little she could do while being so blind. She had no response for Valin's analysis. Tampering with minor details for a much larger outcome later generally was harder to counter because few people would take notice of or appreciate the interference. It didn't help that she didn't know which minor details to look out for either, but that was the point she was sure.
"It seems then that all we are destined to do is wait and hope our cards are the better hand."
She did not like this idea, but what else could they do if they had no idea where or how to start keeping the Sith in check? With her own motives, training was something she had taken very seriously lately anyway, but as she felt pressure mounting, it became all the more important to push herself near exhaustion. At times her body refused to obey her because of it. It was truly stressful.
"...you should take better care on your own. Rutum is able to evade the Force, which you need in order to securely detect him, or so it seems. There are several places you can go to that would require him to expose himself in order to harm you. Do not be afraid to seek me out for anything."
Not exactly affectionate, Red was securing her assets. Valin was valuable to her and she could not afford his knowledge, or lack thereof, being taken from her. Whatever game she had fallen into was not one she intended to lose, for fear of the consequences.

The Jedi Knight cursed at himself. What had he brought here? By the Force, he might had condemned them all to death or worse... but... what had happened had happened. You could not change the past, but merely learn from it and grow. Valin lingered on the word 'destined'. As a Jedi, he had always been taught that the Force had a destiny for each of them, large and small. Some people's destiny's were just to live life, others had larger destinies to save the galaxy.
"Destiny," He murmured to himself lightly but quickly followed up with something more approiate, "Rutum will screw up somewhere. He'll be attempting to affect things both large and small - a lot of things. That'll only increase the likelihood that along the way he'll make a mistake. He can't hide forever and everything he touches leaves a dark aura to it. In time... we'll find him."
The Jedi almost chuckled at what could almost be affection from Red. Now that was unusual, indeed. He summed it up though as her trying to offer protection to the one man who really knew Rutum and thus more likely secure her victory over the Sith Lord. Even then... was it all just her trying to insure whatever plans she had after Rutum dealt with... or did she, despite her cold exterior, really did care for Valin to some degree but simply did not allow herself to actively think about it?
He smiled lightly, putting that thought away for now, at his friend and replied with, "Anywhere you think would make a good stand against the Sith when he shows up again - which he certainly will - is probably a good place to go. You have a gift for tactics."
There was then... a tremor. A wave. Building and building... and it hit Valin like a great force within the Force. Screams, shouts, terror, horror, darkness. They flashed before his eyes as real as any sight. Life expanded before him as he saw billion of unfamiliar aliens... and contract as the void ate them whole. They were gone. They had cried out, his mind heard it, and then... were silenced just as easily. And he could see... Rutum, a smile upon a gray, ashen, and corrupted face that was once a friend. A smile that said, 'I know you're talking about me, can you feel the power I wield?'
Valin put his now paler face into his palm to cover his eyes, his head was spinning and he felt violently ill. His head felt like someone was just standing around hitting him in the skull. He was very worried now... Rutum had access to one of the most powerful Dark Side techniques - the 'Force Storm'. The ability to rip space-time and create an all-consuming hyperspace wormhole. With enough focus, he could control it... without, it could consume him as well.
The Jedi looked up at Red and said in a weakened voice the words he never wanted to say, "He... must be stopped. By the Force, we must end him. My destiny... is to kill the man I once... called my best friend and most trusted ally. The man I stripped of... the Force once. It's... coming full circle..."

For all that Valin said, Red simply listened. The horrible experience that seized him from Orion to some private part of his mind she took in quietly, watching him with some curiosity. All she could assume was that Rutum had used a much more violent form of telepathy, perhaps just to be cruel, or perhaps it was the only way the Sith could communicate between minds. The latter did not seem to be wholly true.
Nonetheless, the fact that Valin was feeling jarred by Rutum's presence meant that the Jedi and kitsune had managed to get a reaction from him, something she was certain was not his intention. Were it up to Rutum he'd have stayed hidden a while longer, but obviously he wanted to discourage his former ally from trying to stop him.
As far as Red was concerned, that meant she and Valin scared Rutum.
Something was being kept secret. The Sith knew something that they had not yet figured out. He did not want them to know it either. That was all she knew at the moment and all she needed to know. Despite the few moments it took her to be aware of this, she physically did not let on any such notion. Even if Rutum knew what she knew, she was not going to announce it to the world for his benefit.
Did Valin know?
"If our suspicions are right, then we will stop him. Otherwise...let him be."
The caution in her voice was more a safeguard than anything else. She was sure of what she knew, but there was always the chance that she could be wrong, and there was no point hunting down a man that in truth was doing no harm. Mind, she did not fool herself into believing Rutum was actually innocent, but she did not want to see Valin destroy himself for a desperate man hunt.
