::From across the room the tall Knight hears a voice, the sound only faint despite the ambient silence. Sound only travels so far. He quickly gathers that Epithany has realized she's not acknowledged him thus far and is on her way over. Within a few seconds she's in view, Aaron responding with a nod in greeting as she speaks. Though opening his mouth to answer, he pauses a moment longer, expression attentive as she continues with her thought and an inquiry on his well being. Tossing a glance away, he purses his lips a moment in gathering his thoughts. The day started out decently but has grown a little boring since his son arrived to leave him alone in the front room. Still, as always, the chance to see Ren has lifted his spirits.
Before he can respond with just such an answer, however, the young woman has moved on, remarking to herself on the activity of the building. She's in her own little realm, Aaron thought, imagining that she could likely continue on like this for a few moments longer without any conversational support from his end. Just as this occurs to him, of course, the magician of sorts falls silent. The Hykanan doesn't speak for a few seconds, looking sideways over at Epithany from his undersized chair as though waiting for her to continue. She doesn't.
Taking the moment to clear his throat, Aaron raises his mug of cocoa with a proper greeting.::
Evening to you.
::With the sound of a door creaking open, the tall wolfen Knight leans back a little to catch a view of the main entrance. There he sees the two he sensed outside, peeking curiously into the building. Setting his mug down and turning in his chair, Aaron waves his arm, powerful voice warmly calling out across the room to them.::
Both of you, come inside before you freeze!

It's been a bloody great damn long time coming,
and I was super fcklazy about it.
But I finally got it workableish.
