Issaly Post 9Issaly heard one of the older healers call his name then turning fumbled as he caught the first aid bag. The healer gave him a sneaky smile before pointing to the Oban warrior who just entered on Issaly's right. The youth turned again and repressed the girlish shreik which threatened to escape. Clearing his throat he spoke so that Saraf could hear him, the tone vastly different from his earlier louder one. "I hope you don't mind a Shifter tending to you..." he said as he started by cleaning the wound and the other's face of blood. Issaly could tell that might take a while. The blood started to dry and cake in some areas. "Pardon my touch..."Small delicate fingers touched the side of Saraf's face as the budding healer dipped a rag in water. Ullyee had carried the small bowl over for her little master. Issaly giving her a fond smile as he continued his task. He had never been this close to Saraf before...the male was rugged, but Issaly saw grace in his features. Reminding the youth of the other male's mother...he hoped she was alright. More than that...he hoped Saraf wouldn't deck him when the male could see out of that eye again...

Almost over. Was it really? The extremists were dwindling. Their leaders had fallen. All around her Earthlings and her fellow dissenting Sisters were still fighting on. Many had fallen, but they always did. Unfortunately a great number had been Alkidike. Bhima swung her blades at another of her Sisters who stood with near the same weaponry. The sister slashed her across the arm but her own blades hit home and her chest felt tight. Please let that woman be right. Please let this be over.

How would the talks have gone if nobody had sneaked up behind the Alkidikes? Would there have been an agreement? Peace? Somehow he doubted it, but a part of him kept thinking back. How might it had gone differently? Well, this was how it was going now, and his whip drew a red streak down the back of a green-skinned Alkidike.

No emotion showed on his face, though. He gave no sign of stopping. He would defend his homeland against invasion, regardless of the races involved.

The clanging of weapons grew dim, those on the Alkidike side starting too lose too many in number. The earthling leaders were the one to call things to a stop. "Enough!" Antiope yelled out, her small form rushing from the healing tents and into the crowd. "It's over! Stop the meaningless fighting!"
Those around her slowly began to put down their weapons, the Alkidike extremists were short of breath, but there were still many of them standing. "And why should we stop?!" One screamed out. "You began the bloodshed, you cut down our Sisters, now you want us to retreat and call it quits? Our tails between our legs?"
Cries of "Never!" spat into the air. The Alkidike weren't ready to surrender.
The Matron herself scowled and called out to the leaders across the lines. "Would you dare mock us by commanding us to stand down? Like we were rowdy children in need of discipline?" She laughed into the air. "There are still many of us left to fight, earthling. It would seem to me that you are more worried about your own army dwindling beyond repair than the thought that you have already won this battle."
And it was true. Though the Alkidike were suffering losses, so had the earthlings. There was not a clear cut winner or loser. The Alkidike had a smaller group to begin with but it seemed they were holding their own.
The two groups had ceased battling, the tense stares piercing into either group.
It was only Vescellia, with the trained eyes of an archer, who saw the small speck in the distance growing larger. She called out to the others, her eyes meeting the leaders and Freya in particular. Someone was coming, though as the speck grew in size, it seemed to spread out. Whoever was coming was not alone.
The Alkidike and earthlings seemed to both watch as the figures closed in on their approach.

Kadriye post 13Kadriye had never responded to Briella's suggested deal, losing consciousness briefly just as she'd opened her mouth to reply. When the mystic awoke minutes later the fighting had stopped but the air was no less tense. "Bri," she whispered weakly. " Bri what's happening?" Had the matron fallen, Aselia? Was Ilyra okay, Kadriye thought she saw her in her peripheral vision but she didn't quite trust her eyes at the moment. By the Great Mother's roots it was embarrassing to struggle like this.

Tahira post 10"People can be very angry when they refuse to admit they are wrong," Tahira murmured as she finished patching up Nua and turned to Chimelu. How unfortunate he had been injured just as the fighting seemed to die down. She nodded and motioned for him to move closer. "Yeah , I can help with that but you'll want a healer to unwrap it and put stuff on to keep it from getting infected later." Right now the prentice imagined that the healers had more serious injuries to deal with. Possibly more incoming too if the group people were whispering about approaching was also intent on violence.

Shukri post 8It wasn't going to be easy but Shukri knew he had hands strong and steady enough to aid in this task. Even if his stomach audibly let it's disapproval of the action be known. "Yes, sorry I don't have anything for you to bite." Small pains Shukri was used to in his daily life. Callouses, blisters, muscle aches from climbing and the occasional sunburn when he didn't take enough precaution. Pain that required him to use a healer though, those where the sort of things where to keep from screaming he was told to bite down on pieces of leather or balled up cloth and focus on that. Rather than waste more time lamenting on what they didn't have the wind man moved to place his hands on the shaft of arrow. Fingers on top and thumbs underneath. He'd do he best to break it along his thumbs and put as little extra pressure on Teiluj as he could but Shukri knew it would still hurt.

Briella Post 14She shook her head. "I think someone is coming..." that was what she thought she saw someone coming their way. "The fighting has stopped for now. Come, we should get you at least bandaged up in case the fighting starts back up again." She was worried for Kadriye. She looked around for Ilyra, worried she had lost her again, but when she spotted the girl and whistled. Catching Ilyra's attention she nodded the girl over. She was pretty sure it was all over, but not sure enough that she felt comfortable with Ilyra being far from her.

Dexurn Post 7"I grew up in Oba. It's.. hot. Dry. ..I don't think you should go there." He paused his whittling, a small frown contorting his expression. "I wanna get to Matori. I guess that's where the others like me come from. I've never seen it though. Auntie told me about it before she died, so I wanna go." He looked over to the woman with a curious expression. "What's Tale like?"

Wyome Post 14
The hybrid shook her head at the suggestion, "No no, I can't." Even if she wanted to, she had to be strong for the people coming in... though things seemed to quiet. She wasn't quite sure what it could be, but she ignored it, quickly grabbing more bandages.
Placing a bundle by Niadra, she gave a smile, "As long as these people need me, I'm here for them." It didn't matter how long it would take, she'd keep on going as long as she was needed.

Dris'rynne 8
The young shifter had long ago wrapped her shawl about her waist as an apron. Somewhere she had gathered a pair of working gloves that seemed to be stained with a dark liquid. Her shawl had similar spots, telling a story of exactly what the young woman had been forced to contend with during this madness.
When she turned to look over her shoulder, she spotted Talisia toting that same skinny boy with her. She ran over to meet her, instantly slipping her hands around his legs to help hoist him up. "Come on, bring him over here." Dris'rynne motioned to a cleared area with a clean cloth spread out on the ground. It wasn't in the thick of the healing tents, but he would be close enough for treatment.
He was bleeding, which was bad, but at least he was still breathing. "Sit with him. I'm going to go get some water and bandages." There wasn't much she could do to heal him, but at least they could keep him stabilized until a healer could deal with the boy.
Callum 15
Although he hadn't yet regained consciousness, Callum was lively enough to react to the shift. As Talisia brought him off the battlefield he had groaned when too much pressure was applied to his wounds, though the sounds had groan more faint the longer they traveled.
The already pale hybrid had gone so light that his skin nearly resembled his hair.

Dovev (Post 10) (Done)
Another angle... Yes, another angle. Out of the box. A way that she wouldn't have thought of before. He ducked suddenly and charged at her, only to break away, his sides hurting, and vanish into the crowd. Not an honorable solution, no, but he valued his life more than his honor. His gambit nearly failed completely as she lashed out and caught him in the stomach with her spear shaft. He gasped, stumbled, tripped, and moved into a roll, continuing forward as best he could. That he did not suddenly enter the afterlife with a spear jammed between his shoulder blades was, he felt, quite fortunate.
He ran towards the back of the line, feeling slowly draining out of his body. He needed help – he needed help fast – and he...
and he...
The dizziness grew to be too much and he collapsed, bleeding, to the grounds just outside the earthling tents.

Nuawahn (Post 10) Nuawahn had never handled war very well. He didn't understand – no matter how many times he had to fight in it, he didn't understand. He huddled close to Tahira, scared even as the fighting died down.
Finally, after a moment, he reached for Chimelu – almost tentatively. ”I can... help?” he said. It was almost a question, but he seemed to have the answer. With a nervous look at Chimelu, he took the wound in hand and began to work his spells on it. His forehead creased in concentration as his magic glowed around the wound, easing its pain and edging it closed.
