The Reaper near Deadpool shot backwards, his chest cracking and snapping. He smiled and stood up straight again. The Reaper's head shot back as the bullet struck it. He laughed as he slowly brought his head back down to face the man, a hole resting between his eye sockets. "Oh, healing would be helpful...." he said as he gripped his scythe and moved to strike him again, the bullets breaking his ribs. The fire that had moved towards them burst to life, and four more Reapers appeared. "But, you can't...." one continued, drawing a scythe "...kill..." another continued, bringing his scythe up to strike at Deadpool. "...Death!"" another finished, bringing a scythe down towards Zero. Heh, this was much better than fighting that girl.//g2g//

"Oh yeah? Try me." Zero's wrist blades shot into place and he darted forward, under the scythe and into relative safety. He swung the blade at the spine, aiming to cut the head off. "This could be a bit troublesome. I'd rather pull out, Deadpool."

Deadpool flipped up and back, narrowly avoiding the scythe, then landed gracefully on his feet, and cut directly through torso of the nearest Reaper. "Hate to break it to you," he said evenly, "But you aren't Death. I've met her, and she's a hell of a lot hotter than you." He glanced at Zero. "Yeah, I--"

Kara shot in, fully prepared to take care of all of the Reapers in Gotham and then get back to Metropolis without dropping out of superspeed, but she saw something that made her jerk to a stop in mid-air for sheer surprise. She stared down at Deadpool. "...You..."
Deadpool looked up, and then beamed. "Speaking of hot, hello Girl-who-generously-flies-around-in-a-miniskirt!"

Zero glanced up. "Another friend of yours, Deadpool? Jeez, I should stop hanging out with you. Too much trouble."

"Hey! What are ya doing? Put me down!"
Rhino did not like being away from his natural element of ground and also hated when he didn't have anything to place his feet firmly on either; being in the air was completely alien to him despite the numerous times he has been placed into the air by other means. Sure, Web Head had placed him in the air using his webs attached to something before, but this was a whole other level for the list. Rhino wasn’t too afraid of heights, but they still gave him the shivers.
Eastern Bloc soldiers prepared their capture net seeing as this moment was getting closer to being the moment Rhino was most vulnerable. The commander of the task squad knew that placing a the capture net would be too risky with those when still on Rhino, so their moment would have to wait till Rhino broke out of them.

The head of the Reaper near Zero fell to the ground, but the body made another attempt to swing the scythe at him. The Reaper near Deadpool fell to the ground in two halfs. The cloak around the lower wrapped around it and grew, creating an upper body for it. The half on the ground sat up and smiled at him. It's grin tightened slightly hearing the girl's voice. Had he had skin at that moment, it may have appeared as more of an annoyed grin. He really was going to have to posess someone then...and he wouldn't be able to play around anymore. At least not when it came to retrieving powers. The Reaper half quickly retreated into the shadow under him, leaving the rest to deal with the girl and other two. "Only if you promise to behave." she replied sweetly. "I told you I'd put you in time out didn't I?". As much consentration as this was taking, this would probably be a good time to glance around a moment. She couldn't use her spiders to see what was going on at the moment, so she'd just have to look. At first she didn't see anything out of ordinary. Well, different compared to ten minutes ago. Then she noticed a girl in cape in the air a good block away from her. Then she spotted something red not too far from them. Great, now what?
The answer came as a patch of shadow that suddenly found itself under her, pulling itself from the wall and wrapping around her ankles. The surprise of it was enough to make her loose her consentration and nearly drop Rhino. She regained it in time to keep him from hitting the ground. A long scythe suddenly rose from the shadow and reflex shot in. She thrust herself away from the wall with her hands, pulling her ankles free from the shadow and landed on the ground near Rhino.
The shadow and scythe quickly retracted and retreated into a dark alley. Not sure what had just happened, Sapphire stared at the alley to see if anything would come out, her attention momentarily away from everything else.

Kara blinked. One of them had retreated... almost like he was actually worried about what she could do to that one. Was it the original? ... Well, it was gone now, and she'd have more of a chance later if she didn't let him guess her suspicions. She quickly froze both Reapers, careful to avoid freezing their two would-be victims... as tempting as that was... Then she shattered both of them and zipped off toward the next one, calling over her shoulder, "I would get out of there, if I were you."
The next one happened to be in an alley, which meant that-- For the second time in so many minutes, she stopped dead in the air, staring at a girl in a blue costume much like Spider-man's. She was absolutely positive that she'd never seen that girl before, but it felt like she had. More than that, for some reason she absolutely hated that girl. It felt like that girl had hurt someone she loved deeply, and the resulting loathing was shocking in it's intensity. It took everything else away to such and extent that she didn't even notice Rhino beside the girl. It was taking everything she had to struggle against this unreasoning rage.
Deadpool watched her go, and then turned back to Zero. "The flying boobs are right. Do you have a way to get out of here quickly?" Normally, he wouldn't have cared; Zero didn't really have any powers worth taking, depending on where in his timeline he was. But Deadpool didn't want the creepy skeleton to get any more powers. Things were bad enough.

//I have no idea why, but I'm thrilled that you caught that bit about Chaos. XD // The Reaper reformed in the alley way and stared out a moment. She was looking for him, so if he moved his shadow out to her again, she'd avoid it. But if he made multiples, he should be able to- Then he seen the girl again, but to his surprise she was staring at Sapphire instead of comming after him. Then a large smile made it's way across his face when he realized why. It was that boy's symbiote she was wearing after all...even it hated her. Well, should he escape or see if he could play this out more. Either way it would be better if he wasn't physical at the moment. He quickly slinked back into the shadow and seperated it into three. One crept around the corner of the building, one shot off towards Deadpool and the other again, and the last shot back towards the Daily Bugle to retrieve something.

((I am glad that you are pleased. ^-^ I kind of nerded out over it.))
With monumental difficulty, Kara finally reigned in the urge to crush the girl's skull. It did not dissipate, but at least it was under control. She took a deep breath. "You should get out of here," she told the girl curtly. She turned back to the alley way just in time to see some shadows behaving in a very strange way. ... Could he.... Travel by shadow? That made sense. But... if that was the case, then what the hell was she supposed to do? One of them was heading back toward that idiot and his friend, one of them had disappeared in the direction of the Daily Bugle, and one had vanished completely. Who should she temporarily leave to cope on their own?
Weirdly, the decision was easy. Between saving Deadpool and saving a child, she would pick the child. Same thing with this girl and... Oh, Rhino. When had he gotten there? She shook her head. They could cope on their own. The girl was lucky that Kara planned to come back and save her at all-- Wait, what was she thinking? Turning back to Rhino and the girl, she said evenly, "I'll be back in a minute. Don't let it get any of your blood." She looked down and saw that her hands were clenching into white-knuckled fists. Time to go.

Zero was sorely tempted to smack Deadpool. "Can't you teleport, dipwad? Just get us down to the street, I have a car waiting."

Deadpool blinked. "What?" Teleportation... Oh, riiiight. "Dipwad, huh? Maybe I just won't teleport anyone anywhere, then. Maybe we'll both just stand here until we die. You need an attitude change, mister." He crossed his arms.

(( Geez I'm gone for a day and look what I miss! ))
Batgirl tried to hold her breath until she could reached her rebreather but it only worked for so long and she sucked in a small bit of the gas. the affects were immidate as her as everything started to seemed warped. "Ugh..." She mumbled as the room started to spin and change colors. She could hear laughter around her but she wasn't sure if it was the gas or the Joker himself. he didn't notice but Batgirl fell to her knees clutching her head. She had to fight it... but she couldn't. A small laugh escaped her lips as the twisted allusion in her head became more and more real. "Hah... haahahhaa... HAHAH...."

"Uh...What was that thing?"
Rhino got up and started to rub his head a bit and started to think, but couldn't quite recall why he was fighting this Spider girl anymore. He remembered something about a bat or another, but Rhino's memory wasn't that good if he got distracted by something odd. Rhino didn't feel much aggression anymore; maybe a time out was all he needed. Before Rhino could speak again, something came from above him. It was a net and as soon as Rhino tried to break out of it, an electric current ran through the net at enough intensity to stun Rhino.
Soldiers in red uniforms and gas masks started running out of the alleys and securing Rhino. The shock used to power the net only had one charge and Rhino would be getting up in half an hour. The soldiers started to secure a harness while two other soldiers stood by and kept a look out. They seemed to care little for the other people in the area; their target was Rhino.

The shadow finally found where Deadpool and Zero were and reformed into a Reaper. He looked up and watched as the one man made his way down. He thought for a moment, then smiled and casually leaned against the wall to wait for them to come down.
The Reaper in the bar gave an ammused smile and glanced back at Joker. "So, what are you going to do with her?". Sapphire turned away from the alley when she heard a girls voice and watched her leave. Don't let it get- Her attention suddenly shot towards Rhino as a group of men suddenly appeared. Now she wasn't from this universe or anything, but for some reason the whole gas maske and coat thing didn't strike her as the 'figures of authority' uniform. "Hey!" she shouted, leaping closer to them. "Sorry, but I'm gonna have to see some ID" She wasn't sure what she was going to do, but she couldn't just let a bunch of unknowns make off with the guy. She caught a bit of movement out of the corner of her eye. A moving shadow again. Great.
