((YAY!!))

If one were to walk in, they would have their noses tantilized by mouth-watering scents. They filled the main room, drifting around in a mixture of wonderful things, one might think it was the holidays. The closer one got to the kitchen on the wall further down from the bar, the stronger the scents became.

The counter was filled with plates and dishes of food. From potatoes, veggies and biscuits, to tacos, even fish and rice. It looked like enough food to feed fifteen people, but the club was empty except for one. A soft voice came from the kitchen itself, where there was still more food.

Jade stood before the stove, her back to the room, singing softly to herself. The young woman held a skillet in her right hand, flipping over a pancake onto an ever growing stack before pouring in more batter. There were no shoes on her feet, only a pair of white socks peeking out from a pair of pale blue jeans. A black belt hung loose around her hips, her brown tail swaying slowly behind her. A black haltertop left her midriff and back mostly exposed, her wing tattoo peering over the top of her jeans. The normally chaotic spikes of her black hair were hidden away underneath a black fedora, a select few managing to escape.

Her gold ring sat in it's place on her middle finger, and her matching worn gold locket around her neck, resting against her sternum. It couldn't be seen though, for the white apron she had covering her front. There were a few stains here and there, some of which couldn't be identified right away.

The girl went on cooking, adding pancake number 7 to the stack of fluffy goodness. Her singing paused though as a smile spread over her face. Jade didn't pause her cooking though, as she spoke outloud.

"Glad to see you home, Nii-chan! I'm just fixing myself a bit of a snack."

And for a Saiya-jin, this massive amount of food was only a 'snack'.

"Aww...I didn't even come into the kit-" SLAM!!!

Keno came in via his signature drift technique, still hovering a good five feet in the air. As his body had formed first this time, he didn't have enough time to prepare for the sumptuous feast before his eyes, which he hadn't smelled due to his excitement of getting to see his sister. The result was a ground shaking thud from Keno's body colliding with the ground from the shock. A normal human likely would have broken something for the awkward fall, but thankfully Keno had tough bones.

"Since when do you eat so much food?" he asked as though it were completely unfathomable that Jade could fit all of that in her stomache. Did he know she was a monkey girl? Yes. Was he aware of the Saiya-jin diet? Yes. Did he think Jade could possibly retain such an ability to consume so much food? No.

Even now he was completely at a loss for why in the hell she had made so much food. Maybe she had anticipated his coming and was arranging for a party in his honor. Sprawled on the ground, he imagined all of his allies - as 'friends' might not be too accurate - crowding around to welcome him back, talking about how much they missed him and didn't want him to leave again, and whatever else might so happen to stroke his ego at the moment.

In the real world he had a creepy grin from ear to ear on his face as he fed himself this vision of self gratification. How nice it would be if that were the reality. For the time his own imagination was strong enough to trick him into thinking it was.

Jade turned around at the ground shaking thump, placing a stack of ten pancakes on the island behind her, where it joined a variety of fruit and pastas. Her tail lifted, curling around the skillet and spatula and putting them in the sink with the other dishes. Suprisingly, even with the amount of food just waiting to be eaten, there wasn't all that many dishes that needed to be cleaned.

"I always have. Just not around here." Jade smiled at Keno, thinking of the local buffet she usually visited. If they saw her coming, the owners had a tendency of closing the shop once she got started, and putting the cooks on overtime.

"I just felt like cooking at home for once. Don't want my skills in the kitchen to get rusty." The girl giggled a little, before turning back to the stove behind her and opening the oven door. She pulled out a whole chicken, stuffed and surrounded by more veggies. She made quick work of tranfering it from pan to plate, and adding it to the rest of the food.

Jade glanced up at Keno, seeing a strange, and slightly creepy grin on his face. Raising an eyebrow, she set up a plate of food, filled with rice, fish, sushi and some fresh veggies, with a set of chopsticks resting on the side, and held it under Keno's nose.

"Better get some before I tuck into it. Hehe..."

As though food had the same effect on him as it would on her, Keno came to immediately, and surveyed the wide array of food Jade had prepared. There was certainly something from every different meal of the day present, from the pancakes, to biscuits, chicken, veggies of all sorts, other breads, fruits, more fruits, more different fruits, beef, pork, seafood, raw cooked, fresh baked. It was almost more than he could stand to look at during one sitting.

"Uhh..." clearly nervous, the feline's eyes darted from right to left vigorously as he debated on what to eat. Never in his known life could he remember eating any of Jade's cooking before and even though he wasn't particularly hungry, nor was he a fan of taking food from under a monkey's nose, he didn't want to give up this chance at his sister's culinary skill.

And then his eyes feel upon them. A large plate of chocolate chip cookies. Instantly he thought of a cool pitcher of milk next to that plate and a purr came so quickly he scarcely heard it himself as he pounced for the counter, grabbed the plate, and vanished for the bar, making something between a shout of glee and a meow.

That was where Jade varied slightly from most Saiya-jin. While taking a monkey's food would likely result in a fight and injury. Jade could at least share......a little anyways.

Giggling, the girl watched as Keno spotted the cookies and practically dove for them, a loud purr carrying through the air. "Just watch out for the rice cooker, Nii-chan!" She had almost forgotten about the industrial sized rice cooker she had plugged in behind the bar, keeping the rest of it warm.

No one could be sure when it happened, but the food that had been on the plate Jade held under Keno's nose had vanished...and the girl was wiping rice off of her cheek. She then started at the end in the kitchen, loading up that plate again with all sorts of goodies, working her way down and across the gap to the food she had to move over to the bar. By the time she reached the end, the girl had a plate in each hand, plus a can of gingerale held in her tail.

Humming contently to herself, she stepped away from the bar to one of the four tables, placing down her massive piles of food and settling in the chair. Cracking her knuckles and stretching her jaw slightly, Jade picked up the chopsticks, and in a flurry of motion, began to demolish the feast.

Some time amidst Jade eating, Keno replaced the tray of cookies to his sister, still being about half full, although there was no milk in sight. Lying on the floor beside her stomach down was Keno struggling for breath. Despite it all, he was still a human and too many sweets had one very predictable result; tummy ache.

"Ooooooh." Yeah he was uncomfortable, but he was also very happy with his current situation. Jade knew her way around the kitchen, that was for sure. "Just like any self respecting woman..." he couldn't help being a sexist a**. Even though any form of violence would likely result in regurgitation.

His mind was swimming as he fell in and out of consciousness, trying his hardest to focus on the floor. It wasn't doing him much good though, but until he felt reason to move, he was pretty much incapable of action. If 97 came in right about now...

"So...you ever make Deity food like that?"

If Keno were to look up a bit right now, he'd see a can of gingerale hovering in front of his face, held there by a furry brown tail. Milk wouldn't be good for him right now anyways, but gingerale was like magic. It could make everything from tummy aches to sneezes and sniffles go away.

"And I'm proud of it. Though I could use a bigger pantry...." Jade smirked down to her Nii-chan, not denying the jab at her being a woman in the kitchen. As a Saiya-jin though, she had experianced the tummy aches at times, and gingerale was a miracle drink solution.

The girl was starting to get on an eating roll now, and if someone were to threaten her food at the moment....it would just be a stupid thing to do.

"Once in a while I do. Naturally, he doesn't need as much food as this. Tacos though, seem to be a preference for us...." Jade giggled to herself at this, tucking into more food. Her feet swung slightly only a couple of inches from the floor, a happy, child-like look of glee on her face.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 21, 2007 9:20 pm

"Tacos...." he barely got the word as his labored breathing continued to draw him between the sleeping and waking worlds. Were it not for the fact that he wanted to look at her and inquire why, of all foods, they had taken a liking to tacos, he'd have never seen the gingerale. Not being accustomed to eating so many cookies, or having a tummy ache in general, he had no idea Jade would offer him something else to consume. It was like a cruel, sick joke with lethal results.

Then again, Jade had never been one to try and harm Keno, especially not for entertainment, so he felt he could trust her even with this. Using what he could of his physical capacities, he managed to prop himself up so that his upper body was inclined and supported on his elbows, but he had to use aeromancy to actually open the can, take if from Jade, and tilt it toward his mouth.

Bubbly

Well it was certainly good, though he was surprised he could taste it at all considering he had a layer of cookie and milk on his tongue. He wasn't complaining though because good drink was good drink. Only about halfway through the can did he have to stop all of a sudden as he let out a very innocent burp. His stomach felt relieved instantly and he purred as he fell on his back, the can landing gently on the left side of his face.

"That felt good. Arigatou..."

"Works everytime." Jade smiled back at him, managing to say something intelligable through a mouthfull of food. Her two plates were nearly empty now, but there was still plenty of food that needed to be eaten.

Suddenly Jade paused, and covered her mouth with her left fist, turning her face away from Keno. She too let out a burp, but her's wasn't so innocent. In fact, if any of those in the Tower were leaning against an outer wall, they might feel the reverberations of it.

Blushing slightly now, the girl turned back to Keno, scratching the back of her head. ".....sorry about that."

The young woman slid from her chair, picking up her empty plates and carefully avoiding stepping on her Nii-chan. She leaned down and ruffled his white and black hair a bit, before heading back for round two.

"So what have you been up to, Nii-chan?"
PostPosted: Sun Oct 21, 2007 9:49 pm

He felt an odd sensation from the violent vibrations in the air caused by Jade's belch. It was as though he had just had an instant massage and every muscle in his body had been completely relaxed. She was certainly a monkey in line with the others. When she apologized, all he could do was scoff as though it were no big deal while he slowly assessed his new situation.

Deciding it would be okay to start moving again, he rose straight into a sitting position before finishing off his can of gingerale. Though he could stand, he made no immediate move to follow Jade for seconds. Instead, he took a seat at the table and watched as she went.

"Same thing I'm always up to; training, training and more training. For some reason, my telepathy is still a bit hazy so I've been avoiding areas where lots of people are. Haven't even been home for some time." He seemed to be honestly smiling, his amber eyes bright with life and optimism. Even though he had a few social problems at the moment, he spent most of his time on Tera so it wasn't a huge headache to deal with, although he was sure that was the reason he was making very little progress.

"Anyway, I should be asking you about what you're up to...I haven't forgotten that fight with Tali." Suddenly cold and serious, eyes averted from Jade, he seemed to have remembered this all of a sudden, and felt it imperative to bring it up. He wasn't even aware of how late it was.

::The central pillar of the main room hums to life, the chamber within descending from an upper floor as the young Saiya-jin and her adoptive brother relax nearby. With a hiss the elevator doors part, a tall figure stepping out with a softened glance around. Not much for company these days.

The pod closing behind him, Deity stands tall and silent, damp hair looking a little droopy as his red eyes examine the stillness around him, rivalling his own. His glasses teetering nearer the tip of his nose, his bandana can be seen hanging from the left pocket of baggy black sweatpants. Around his neck is a small, moist white towel, from underneath which his pendant can be seen dangling over the fitted white tanktop he wears. Arguably only a few shades darker than his shirt in the light of the room, the Tonepian's physique remains gangly if nothing else. His pants hang off of his hips, over an inch below the waistline of his boxers likely visible were it not for the stretchy lower hem of his top.

Blinking a few times, Deity catches the scent of two people - he was drawn down here by the food, and somehow manages to be surprised that someone is actually down here eating it. Waking up from a nap tends to leave him in just such a disoriented frame of mind. Of course someone's down here, dimwit, he thinks rather sheepishly to himself. The scents are easily recognizable as his lover and her brother, Keno. Though seeing the tiger isn't exactly an exciting prospect, hopefully he can keep to himself during this brief visit.

Turning right, the quiet Orinian makes his way around the elevator on bare feet, slipping the red cloth from his pocket. Folding the bandana and pressing one side to his brow, Deity pulls it around his head and ties it off a few inches above the nape of his neck. Letting the ends of the fabric fall over his back, the tall boy slips the towel from his shoulders and rubs it lightly over his cheeks a few times. As he tosses the cloth back over his left shoulder, his right middle finger nudges his glasses further up along the bridge of his nose to more effectively mask his eyes.

Within seconds Jade is in sight, Keno a short distance to the right and out of view. Deity says nothing, simply arching an eyebrow at the devastated remains of a feast left in the girl's wake as she heads back into the kitchen for a second helping. Though long ago having come to terms with Jade's eating habits, he still has no clue where she's putting all of it. Coming to a stop some distance behind her, the Orinian leans against the elevator shaft to his right, arms lifting to overlap loosely over his stomach. She'll see me on her way back, he figures, not wanting to interrupt the blooming conversation.::

Jade nodded her head slightly in response to Keno at first, just a bit more focused on filling up her plates again. The girl was about halfway through filling her second plate when the subject of her fight with Tali came up.

With the way she stiffened and ceased piling food on her plates, it was obvious she had not forgotten about it either. ".....it's a work in progress. But I'm up to the same as always; training, eating, and sleeping."

Making it obvious she didn't wish to talk about that fight much, if at all, she let it drop there as she went back to her food. In a few moments, she was on her way back, plates piled high once again and over half of the food she had made somehow gone already. Her tail held an apple, polishing it against her apron she still wore.

Blinking softly, the girl spotted Deity, a smile spreading across her countance once again. She stepped in his direction on the way back to the table with Keno, playfully bumping against him lightly.

"Good morning, sleepy." Jade giggled a little before leaning up on her tiptoes and kissing him softly on the cheek. Smirking slightly, Jade glanced back at him as she continued walking towards the table, her tail placing the polished apple in Deity's hand as she went.

The girl sat down again, once again picking up her chopsticks and digging into her food with a passion. At the moment, her mouth was more focused on eatting and swallowing her food, than conversing on a topic.

Noticing Deity wasn't too difficult when his presence was announced by the activation of the, until then, dormant elevator. It wasn't that Keno had to keep his guard up or anything, but it seemed that even in the Orion, characters preferred to have a decent bit of information about what was happening before they made their presences known to each other. Keno didn't always care, and it seemed Deity hardly thought it necessary. He preferred that actually since it was more natural to walk in on something without knowing what the hell was going on.

With a smile and a craning of his neck, the feline made as much effort to see Deity as he could without moving anything below his neck to do so. the result wasn't all that great, but he was simply pleased with the company.

Jade's answer wasn't that promising either. The words 'work in progress' couple with ' same as always' spelled out something for him that might be completely different from what Jade had meant; she was still slacking. Whether for one reason or another that's basically what he heard and though he didn't show it on the outside, he had to resist casting Deity a dark glare as though to blame him. However, he knew it wasn't anyone's fault. In fact, he hadn't done a damn thing for Jade since...since...

As she returned he merely watched her in silence for a moment, letting her enjoy her food. The fact that she called this a snack almost repulsed him, but he was sure that any less wouldn't be Saiya-jin.

"You know...you can join us." As he spoke, a third chair revealed itself for the Tonepian...prince? He never really put Deity's relation to the Orinian throne together before, but if they went by blood, it would seem that should Tali...Sato...and Ren all die, he'd be next in line for the throne. As soon as he thought about this, he realized how unlikely it would be for the entire Wesley family to expire so though nothing else of it and returned his attention to Deity. "We...well I...don't bite."
PostPosted: Sun Oct 21, 2007 10:40 pm

::Gently tilting his head to intercept the kiss, the tall boy responds with a similar gesture, brushing just softly his lips to the side of Jade's neck. Just as quickly as she approached, she's gone and off to join Keno again - now, Deity's long fingers are cupped aroudn an apple. His claddagh - a hair too big for his finger - is pushed off of his flesh as he grips the reflective red fruit, bouncing it loosely for a moment. Oddly, he never once so much as passes a glance at the apple before lifting it and taking a firm bite out of the side. Stepping more clearly into view before coming to a second stop, his left arm falls against the black wall behind him; a bit of a slouch is seen in his posture now, the bitten apple held just below his chest.

A simple, lazy wave of the boy's free hand dismisses Keno's offer as Deity lifts the apple for another bite once the first is well and down the hatch. He wouldn't admit it to anyone, but the fact that he and his love have company is all that keeps him out of that seat.::
