"Akivara and Razito don't want me eating city food yet," Kita said sadly, shaking her head. "They say they put a lot of weird stuff in it, and if I make the change from an all-natural diet to this diet very suddenly, I could get sick or even get allergies. Of course, they're not healers.... I'll ask Razito if I can have some food. I'll be right back."

Kita turned on her heel and ran-skipped to where Razito was spitting out a chip with a disgusted look on his face.

"Razito! Razito! Can I have some city food? I'm huuuungry...." Razito looked up, tossed his chip out for the birds and ants, and nodded.

"Yes, you can have the cookie. (Rita didn't know how he knew she'd been offered a cookie) Just eat these with it." He made a flourish with his hand, reached into a hole that suddenly appeared in the air at his side, and handed her three pieces of bread wrapped up in a plastic-like skin.

"Two are for you, one is for sharing if anybody wants it," he said with a wink, as Kita bowed her head and ran back.

"He said I could as long as I ate two pieces of bread with it, so I don't shock my system or whatever," Kita said, starting to unwrap the skin from the bread. Living out in the middle of nowhere and shunning most modern technology (Akivara was technophobic, like everyone in her race), Razito's alchemical concoctions were the closest thing to an airtight wrap they had.

"You can have the other piece of bread if you like bread, but you'd better ask your mom first. I know Aki doesn't like it when strangers offer me food without asking her first."

She looked around and found a bottle of no-water-required hand-sanitizer, and applied it liberally to the fur on her hands and the pads on her palms.

"Okay, here ya go." Kita finished slipping the cookie in between the pieces of bread, and handed him the third. She eyed his hands. "Aren't you gonna wash up? You've been into bushes and who knows what else."

She was about to bite into the cookie sandwich when it struck her.

"Oh! You don't even know my name. I'm Kita. Kita Goldwolf, since I took Aki's name when she took me in." Kita watched him for a reply, or at least a sign that he was going to wash his hands. She didn't want him to get sick.

"There's hand... um...." Kita checked the bottle again. "Hand sanitizer. You don't need water." She suddenly grinned at his name.

"I'll call you Iggy. I don't think you've grown into "Ignatius" yet." Kita bit into the cookie sandwich and sighed; she was used to this kind of fare, but there always some hankering in her gut for meat. Fresh meat. Raw meat....

She grunted to herself and steered clear of that thinking. Instead, she thought of how many eggs she would find.... She would be the egg-finding champion!

((..... *looks at Iggy's pic again* Better tell him he's got a fangirl. XP))

"Just having weird cravings," Kita admitted. "It's really weird. There's that, and there's the feeling that I've got some mission that I've forgotten about. Like I've been sent here to do something. Something to do with this." She held up her left wrist, showing Iggy the dark spiked collar, meant to go around a puppy's neck.

"But then I figure that if I can't remember what exactly I'm supposed to do, it's not important." She finally reached the center of the sandwich, tasting the cookie. It was sweeter than what she was used to.

"Exactly!" Kita nodded with him, then looked down sheepishly as she thought about her cravings.

"Well, don't creeped out, but it's for raw meat. Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that I look like a dog? Dogs can eat raw meat, can't they?"

"Why would anyone want to eat their friends? Then they couldn't be friends anymore!" Kita made a disgusted noise in the back of her throat. "Maybe we shouldn't talk about this while we're eating."
