Zero couldn't help but hit Isis shoulder playfully as she defended herself with the color of his hair. Though, really, it was more of a light tap with the back of his hand, like he would've knocked on a door. "Hey, the hair's just fine. It's not like having silver hair makes you an old grey wolf or something." As they conversed and the conversation moved to their younger days, Isis was quick to rule out any embarassing meeting between them or any of his other, light-haired friends. Andreas, on the other hand, Zero ruled out simply from knowing her for so long, remembering quite clearly how she used to be in her younger days. "I dunno, it was just kinda her personality back then. Easily annoyed, always wanting to prove her point, and just having a general air like she had something to prove. Or, something like that. Kinda hard to describe." Zero raised his wrist to look into his X-Transceiver, going through the rather short photo album saved on it. Primarily populated by older pictures preserved digitally, he brought one up and moved closer to Isis so she could see. On the screen was a familiar enough trio; Though aged back significantly it was still relatively easy to tell who the younger version of each was. Zero was off to one side, dressed in a loose jacket with some long-faded t-shirt underneath, while the less familiar Alex was on the other, looking a bit different from the brief time Isis had a chance to see her. The girl's hair was much longer, descending a bit past her shoulders, dark bags lined underneath tired eyes, but she dressed nicely enough in a black dress. Zero's father stood behind the group in the center, barely looking a day older than when Isis met him last, though upon closer inspection he did seem a touch slimmer. Then there were the last two; the all important pair that was more or less the reason he picked this picture to show his companion. Though the resemblance was certainly there, a much younger Andreas stood in the front, holding Machina close in an uncomfortable grip as something clearly angered her. The shorter, and younger silver-haired boy clearly struggled to get out of her hold, while the other three watched on with sympathetic grins and restrained laughter. But, the main focus, whether intentionally or by accident, was the pair in the front, and the brown, almost schoolish uniform-clad Andreas' annoyed frustration at something that one could only assume was petty.
After that subject ran its course and they made it to Goldenrod, Zero himself suggested they visit the Game Corner there, since Isis mentioned she hadn't had a chance to really visit any in her travels. "No, I honestly haven't visited Mauville all that much. Before I headed out on my journey, there really just wasn't ever a time when I went over there." As they continued to talk, they started to head on towards the Game Corner, Zero stopping at the entrance for just a moment to read a sign they had posted out beside it. Nothing terribly unexpected; It effectively warned against attempting to cheat, and listed a few types of pokemon not allowed inside and even had certain species illustrated explicietly, namely the Porygon line. Nothing that one wouldn't expect, though, so not long after reading he simply continued on and followed Isis into the building.

✿ ❀Isis broke out into a wide grin as Zero nudged her for the quip on his hair, protesting that it was just fine. "You just keep telling yourself that grandpa." She snickered and mussed his hair playfully in return. This is what he got for calling her senile! As the two calmed down though, they began to discuss the possibilities of Isis dumping her concessions on Zero or his friends, slowly but surely ruling out each of them, though when Andreas' younger self came up, Isis couldn't help but inquire further. It was surprising that she actually used to be a lot more intimidating and aggressive than she already was now, but Zero couldn't really explain it much. Not that Isis could blame him, there wasn't much more to tell other than it was just her personality. Apparently she seemed to just have something to prove. "Heh.... Sounds familiar." Isis gave Zero an indicative look. He seemed to really have a chip on his shoulder as of late, even before the issues with Leon appeared. Not that those issues didn't enhance said chip.
She looked on as Zero flipped through some of his pictures, eventually coming upon an amusing scene involving Andreas and Machina getting into a fight over who knew what, while Zero, his father, and, someone who Isis could only assume was Alex, looking on the brink of laughter at the other two's quarrel. It made Isis smile warmly. "Hahaha~ Nice shot." Isis grinned. She could certainly appreciate a photo like this. As they walked into the game corner, Isis asked if he had ever been to a game corner before, knowing there was one in Mauville, but apparently he hadn't visited the area much. "Ah, yeah I suppose it's a bit far from Lilycove. I keep thinking about these things from a "living in Verdanturf" perspective." Isis chuckled lightly. The corner looked pretty interesting, and while Zero looked over the posters, Isis went straight to the counter and bought a coin case as well as a few tokens to play with, handing a few to Zero before making her way to the slots.✿ ❀

Zero simply laughed and tried to move her hand away, simply brushing off Isis calling him "grandpa". From there they moved on to discussing any sort of past meeting, ruling out that she might've met him or any of his friends from dumping her food on them. The reporter couldn't help but question what Andreas must've been like if he ruled her out on just knowing her. He explained what he could about her old personality, with notable difficulty, though he simply shrugged at Isis' own response. "Perhaps she was just at a rebellious age. Back then she still had all the power to crush any gym team, so perhaps that just made things more irritating when she couldn't have her way."
To illustrate his point a bit better, he scrolled through the image library on his phone and brought up an old picture of him and his friends, the main focus being on Machina and Andreas' petty quarrel. "Heh, thanks. To be honest I almost don't remember what it was she was angry about in this one, but if memory serves I'm fairly certain they were having some conversation about her temper, and she got frustrated when she couldn't exactly argue against him." He clicked off the screen and let his arm fall back to his side, as they approached the Game Corner. "I think there should be some old videos with her actually, mostly from her battling the Sinnoh Gym Leaders. If you want, I can probably ask Machina if he happens to have any of them lying around... Now that I think about it, we never really did ask for those old contest tapes either." Zero mused to himself for a bit what might've been preserved, his gaze resting on the signs and posters about the building before he entered with Isis. She collected a coin case and some tokens for the both of them, and since he didn't know what else to play, he decided to try his hand at the slot machine as well.
Taking a seat at one directly beside Isis, he slid in the number of coins the machine needed, hearing some heavy piece of the machine click and release, and gripping the handle on the side he could tell there was enough resistance to spin the wheel. After taking a breath, Zero simply shrugged, and pulled the lever down completely, before it snapped back into place as he released it. He watched the three rows spin unendingly with mild curiosity, the wheels slowing down more and more till the first one came to a stop. Then the next one did the same, soon followed by the third wheel. A jingle blared from the machine, startling him a bit, as more tokens began to pour out from the machine. A trio of charries lined the board, and it payed out a respectable sum in exchange.

He assumed it was just a younger, rebellious age, which probably wasn't helped by the fact that the girl attracted just ridiculously strong pokemon. Complimenting the picture Zero showed her, the silver haired boy explained his theory on what they were arguing about, and Isis laughed. "Yeah, that sounds like them." She giggled. "I'd certainly be interested in seeing those videos though." She nodded, the comment applying to both Andreas' battles and Zero's contest videos. "Maybe we can root around for them when we grab our costumes." She suggested, and soon they both had coin cases and a few coins to play games with, turning levers on the slots. It seemed purely luck based though, both for the slots themselves and also the little clefairy that occasionally helped out if you got a bum spin. It was a pretty cute design. ✿ ❀

As the pair made their way into the game corner and quickly got to playing. Zero was still pretty unfamiliar with everything, so he simply followed Isis around to the slots, certainly couldn't hurt anything. They sat down at the slot machines and started playing, the silver-haired trainer going from one spin to the next. He wasn't seeing too many big returns, for the most part only getting a pair of the same icon or a couple more cherries, but for the most part he was able to keep going with his winnings paying for the next spin. This went on for some time, the coin case he'd had to take growing fuller and fuller until the box was nearly full. Opting to go ahead and quit before the case started to overflow, Zero made one last spin, the three wheels rotating quickly before they came to a stop... And all three came up as bright, red sevens. Celebratory sirens in the machine blared even louder this time, causing Zero to nearly fall out of the chair in surprise, but he managed to keep himself attached to it as the prize tokens started pouring out of the machine. Well, if nothing else, at least he'd have plenty to buy prizes with.

They had only intended to play a few games but Zero had somehow been lucky enough to hit the jackpot already just before Isis was going to suggest they get going again. "Well, I was going to suggest that we leave for another area, but you can't just leave here after hitting the jackpot without picking a prize or ten." She giggled, walking with him to the prize booth. "Take your time to decide, I'll wait for you outside." She suggested, waving before she walked out the door and called Nocturne down, saddling herself up for another ride. After Zero came back out, Isis smiled brightly. "So what'd you end up getting?" She asked, making conversation for the ride to Opelucid. ✿ ❀

Zero chuckled a bit nervously, nearly moving his hand to scratch his head before he needed it to collect all the coins pouring out of the machine. After he'd managed to get it all together though, he was able to get it all neatly in the coin case, the heafty weight complimenting the sheer volume of shiny tokens that he'd earned from his quick spins. Isis insisted that, after a jackpot like that, he had to at least get a few prizes before they left, so she headed over with him to the booth where he could redeem them. "Guess you're right. I'll try not to take too long." After the blonde took her leave, the silver-haired trainer approached the woman behind the booth who handled the exchanges.
"Oh, hello there," she greeted, her eyes suddenly snapping up from some book or magazine under her desk inside the booth as she realized someone was approaching. "Would you like to redeem your tokens now for some prizes?" She stood up from her seat and gestured over to the rows and rows of display items behind her and behind the glass in front of him.
"Mhm." Zero lightly set the heavy box down onto the counter, opening it up to reveal the large stack of gold-looking tokens that he'd earned. The woman behind the booth blinked a bit in surprise, but made no comment as Zero started to make his selections. He burned through a good chunk just fine, getting his hands on a few more Rare Candies, some incense, as well as a few berries and other miscellanious items he thought to get. They even happened to have a few plushies on display of the Gardevoir line, which Zero decided to snag while he could, considering he still needed to run by and give Machina the dolls to alter their looks.
Unfortunately, even after that, he still found himself with too many tokens for any one item, and couldn't help but scratch his chin trying to decide what else to get. "...If you'd like," The lady finally spoke up again, grabbing his attention as it broke him from his thoughts. "I could just take the rest of your coins in exchange for one of the pokemon that we have. It might be a little more or less than what they're actually exchanged for, but we do have a shiny Zorua avaliable. If you'd like."
Zero's ears perked up at this, finding the option to be certainly enticing. After a few moments to mull it over, the trainer simply shrugged, and pushed the box of tokens over to the woman's side of the booth. "Sure, I think I can agree to that." While she disappeared underneath the counter for a second, Zero got to putting everything he'd bought in his bag, neatly getting everything ready to go when he was handed the Premier ball containing his newest party member. He'd have time to propery get accquainted with them later, but until then he needed to get back to Isis.
She'd already mounted Nocturne and was ready to set off, so Zero didn't waste any time getting Ashen out and ready to fly too. "Not a whole lot. Mostly just items I can use for later, but the big purchase ended up being this shiny Zorua. We can give it a look in a bit, but let's go ahead and get flying to the next city." Before long, the two of them once again acended into the sky, Isis firmly seated in the saddle of her trusty flier, and Ashen doing his best to keep pace and not fly ahead, the fear of Zero falling off fortunately eliminated while Nova kept the three of them psyhically stuck together.

✦ ✦Aiden supposed he shouldn’t have been surprised that Natalia had correctly guessed that coming back here after so long was very nostalgic for him. It felt strange… being here after four long years, after the tumult of events that had left an impact on his life that would likely stick with him until the end of time… It was almost hard to believe that only two years ago, his homeland of Five Island had been invaded, its citizens taken into the custody of Team Void, the island since then left nearly deserted with only a few remaining survivors who had been quick enough to hide or escape from the chaos… including himself… And only a year ago, he was forced to watch the untimely demise of his old Pokemon team at the hands of the Void assassin who had hunted him down, unable to stand even a small speck of a chance against their unnaturally stronger opponents… All of this had taken place years ago, and yet he could still vividly remember these events as if they had only occurred yesterday, the abject horror and the sheer helplessness as he could only watch… It seemed almost unreal, knowing that he had only been fourteen years old when he had last come here, before his entire world had collapsed into a hellish, chaotic maelstrom that had nearly beaten him to death, and yet he was somehow still alive… He shook his head, quickly banishing those dark thoughts back to the corners of his conscience, focusing back on Natalia and their conversation as he commented that it had been four years since he had been here. The blonde offered a warm smile as Natalia suggested that it surely looked completely different then, and she certainly wasn’t wrong in that regard. As they often said, a lot could change over the course of a few years, which would mean roughly four Tanabatas had passed ever since he had last come here. He couldn’t help but wonder if Miss Sybil had been worried when she hadn’t heard anything from him or his family for so long, or if Darius had been searching the remnants of Five Island for other survivors while keeping Tectonix’s memorial safe for four years... Aria thankfully provided a welcome distraction by mentioning that there must be at least over a million slips on the tree overall, considering that it had been around likely since the beginning of time. He chuckled softly at Natalia’s response, teasingly asking if the Delphox was using her psychic powers to cheat. A playfully mischievous grin crossed Aria’s foxy face as she gave a knowing wink,” Heh, maybe I am, maybe it’s just an honest guess~ That’s for me to know and for you to find out~!!” After the exchange of friendly humor, they moved over to the small stone plinth that housed colorful slips of paper and various pens for visitors to write down their wishes. Aiden was more than glad to explain the rules regarding the wish slips before they started, the blonde even offering Aria the chance to make a wish if she so desired. The Delphox politely refused, stating that her wish had already come true in that she had found a place where she could be happy, traveling with Aiden and Natalia and their Pokemon. Aiden couldn’t help but smile, wishing that happiness could be so simple to find, but for most people like him, happiness was something that needed to be earned… Watching the trainers writing down their wishes made Thalia curious, wondering if Pokemon were allowed to make wishes upon the wishing tree as well, and if her wish could possibly come true if she made one. She lightly poked at the wishing slips in Natalia’s hand, timidly asking if she could make one as well. The girl seemed happy to humor the Sylveon’s innocent request, but something didn’t feel quite right… The auras radiating off of her hinted at a range of concerning emotions, or lack thereof… as if every emotion within Natalia had suddenly fled from her… The worry never left the Fairy-type’s eyes as she watched the girl pen down her wish, patting her gently with a quivering hand. When they were finished, the two trainers grabbed the poles that were used to hang the wish slips on the tree. Aiden had no trouble hanging up a good portion of his own slips on the tree, though he could see Natalia was struggling a little at first, but she was starting to get the hang of it as she managed to get a few of hers up. He was about to offer to help her out, but thankfully Calliope was happy to lend a helping hand and hang some of the slips up in the canopy. Aria even pitched in to help, using telekinesis to help hang the remainder of Aiden’s wish slips on the higher branches where the poles couldn’t quite reach. It didn’t take long for them to hang up all of their slips, and it looked like they might just have enough time to get out of this forest before it got dark. Aiden smiled warmly as Natalia thanked him for coming here with her, feeling glad that she had a great time overall while they had attended Tanabata. He happily reciprocated her thanks, saying that he had a nice time as well, considering that the last time he had attended Tanabata had been with his parents. Of course, he had to thank her for staying with him and helping him to brave the storm of memories back on Five Island. Facing one’s own past was never an easy task to undertake, and he couldn’t help but feel glad that he hadn’t had to confront his demons alone… Natalia gave a humorless laugh in response, asking if he really thought so, since she had believed she had been making things worse with how much of a wreck she had been. When he proceeded to apologize for dragging her into that whole mess with him, she insisted that he didn’t have to, that she was glad to be of help and that he not worry about it. ”Heh, alright then, if you insist,” he responded, giving a small, lopsided smile and a quiet chuckle, quickly agreeing that they should get going so that they wouldn’t get stuck in the forest in the dark. If they could retrace their steps and stay well on the path, they should be able to make it to the bridge just before nightfall came. Aiden knew well from local legend that the Berry Forest was not the kind of place to be during the night, its notorious history of disappearing children confirmed that as much. There was still a fair bit of daylight out, but the sun was setting fast, they shouldn’t dally too much. Aria, being thoughtful as always, offered to help provide them with some light as she pulled her wand out of her tailfur, lighting it ablaze immediately and holding it out before them like a torch. The Delphox hoped that this would be able to provide them with enough light to guide them, even if night arrived before they managed to get back to Bond Bridge. She hummed and nodded at Natalia’s comment that it was a good idea, though she couldn’t help but feel that something was off about the girl… Come to think of it, she recalled sensing something similar happening previously, but she had made a promise that she wouldn’t pry into Natalia’s thoughts. And that was a promise the Delphox intended to keep well. With that, the group began their trek from the clearing back to the forest’s edge, Aiden letting Aria take the lead so that she and her torch could light the way for them. Thalia stuck close to Natalia, walking carefully by her side with a feeler wrapped gently around her hand and keeping her eyes and ears alert for any odd rustling in the bushes or strange noises in the undergrowth. But the potential dangers lurking in the shadows around them didn’t concern the Sylveon as much as the ominous aura she was feeling from Natalia, the Fairy-type ensuring to keep a close eye on her as well. The girl seemed to be moving a bit slower than Aiden and Aria were for some reason, Thalia’s ears perked up as she heard her weak, quiet attempt to call out to the two ahead of them and ask for them to slow down.”F-Fey…?”she asked meekly, pausing for a moment as Natalia had to use a nearby tree trunk to steady herself and looking up at her with worry in her pale blue eyes. Something was definitely wrong, and yet Thalia had no idea what she could do to help… The Sylveon couldn’t help but feel taken aback at the angry, accusatory glare Natalia suddenly shot her way, her ears and tail lowering like a kicked Lillipup’s as her body shook. She didn’t understand why this sudden unwarranted hostility was being directed at her out of the blue, had she somehow done something to offend or anger the girl? Aiden and Aria noticed that their companions were falling a little behind as well, and paused for a moment to let them catch up. ”Is everything alright back there?” the blonde asked, glancing back towards them with a look of concern on his face. He noticed Thalia’s sudden change of body language, what in the world was going on back there…? Aria followed suit, the Delphox’s ears suddenly perking up at the sudden question Natalia directed at her, asking if she really thought her ‘puny wand’ would light the way.”Beg pardon?”she asked, her eyes narrowing as she tightened her grip on the flaming wand in her hand. But something hadn’t felt right about that… Natalia’s tone sounded twisted… as if she had been speaking with a voice that wasn’t her own. The sudden dark laughter that sprung from the girl’s lips immediately set everyone on edge, including Aiden, as she pulled away from Thalia, rubbing at her head and laughing as she threw accusing remarks at the two Pokemon. She suddenly grimaced and began coughing, her bag slipping off her shoulder and falling to the ground below as she hissed at seemingly no one to stop, collapsing to her knees and rummaging through her satchel as if searching desperately for something. ” Natalia…?” Aiden inquired, worry coloring his voice as he took a few careful steps closer to her. He felt like he had seen something like this before… sometime during the Halloween Ball at Raphiel’s mansion… It looked like she was having some kind of mental breakdown, yet she was trying to fight back against it… She retrieved the bottle of pills from her bag, quickly screwing it open and popping one into her mouth. He remembered she had told him before, back in New Bark Town, that those pills she took were for headaches… Now, he felt that that had been a lie as well, this looked to him like much more than just a simple headache. Suddenly, she released her hold on the pill bottle as if touching it had burned her, the container falling to the ground and spilling its contents all over the forest floor. She asked in an accusing voice who had caused her to drop the bottle, glaring sharply at Aria, though the Delphox had not done a single thing. Aria’s body tensed up defensively, and Thalia took a couple steps back instinctively, unsure and afraid of what was unfolding before her eyes. Natalia shivered, seating herself against the tree, cradling her head and rocking herself back and forth as she murmured under her breath about Aipoms. Aiden wasn’t entirely certain what he had witnessed, but it was greatly worrying… it was like watching a mental patient slowly approaching the edge that would soon send them spiraling into all-consuming madness… Maybe that’s what the pills were actually for, to keep her mind clear and to help her maintain her hold on the reality around her… Taking a breath, Aiden slowly and carefully approached her as she continued to rock back and forth, reiterating the word ‘Aipom’ under her breath.”Be careful, Aiden…”Aria cautioned, keeping a wary eye on the two trainers. The unpredictability of these sudden onset changes of behavior and personality was worrying indeed… Though Natalia seemed to be doing a little better after taking that pill, the Delphox wouldn’t dare get too close until she was certain the girl had regained control of her mental faculties. She was more worried of the possibility that the girl could suddenly get physically violent, and might try to attack Aiden even if she hadn’t intended to. Aiden nodded, slowly getting closer to Natalia until he was within reasonable distance, he understood that Aria didn’t want him to get too close in case she would lash out like a cornered animal. He could’ve sworn he heard her murmur his name amid the continuous repeats of ‘Aipom’, and he slowly lowered himself down so that he was crouching. ”Natalia…?” he asked, searching her face carefully and watching for any sudden shifts in her emotions, ”It’s me… Aiden… It’s going to be alright, okay? I’m here with you… Just listen to me… Concentrate on my voice if you can, alright? I need you to stay with me…” he spoke softly, maintaining a calm composure as best he could as he continued speaking to her to help pull her out of her funk.✦ ✦

(Continuing from Three Island...)
Natalia chuckled a bit at Aria's vague answer, suggesting that she might have used her powers to cheat and guess the number of wish slips, or it could have been an honest guess, but she would never tell. “Fair enough, I can deal with that.” She chuckled, not really minding what the answer was since it didn't really matter. After they started filling out their wish slips, Natalia assisting Thalia with her wishes as well, the slips were hung up onto the tree in some form or fashion, either by the poles provided, or the pokemon assisting them, and before long it was time to start heading back to Goldenrod, or at the very least out of the forest before it got too dark. The two trainers made small talk as they walked, Aiden thanking Natalia for being with him here at the tanabata, and apologizing for dragging her into this emotional turmoil, but Natalia insisted that there wasn't a need for apologies, that she'd enjoyed her time here and was more than happy to help Aiden through this. Thankfully he seemed to believe her, and together they continued through the forest, trying to pick up he pace so they could make it back to Bond Bridge before it got too dark out.
Unfortunately, hurrying was not something Natalia seemed able to do, feeling all of her energy being sapped slowly but surely as they trekked through the forest, Natalia falling behind rather quickly before she eventually tripped over her own feet and was forced to stop and hold herself steady against a tree trunk. Of course, this wasn't mere fatigue, which became quite clear when she began to give accusatory glares at Thalia and malicious comments to Aria before slumping and scrambling for her pills. After a few more ridiculous displays, Natalia was left in at least what appeared to be a subdued state, rocking back and forth and quietly mumbling about Aipoms. Aiden took this brief respite to try and approach, as well as talk Natalia down. When he knelt down next to her, Natalia made no acknowledgement of his presence. She hadn't even noticed he was there, staring straight ahead of her and continuing her muttering. “P-pom.... Pom pom Aipom pom pom.....” She said quietly in an almost rhythmic fashion, even while Aiden talked to her, but after a moment, she finally seemed to acknowledge his words, in her own detached way. “....Stay? You want me to....” She trailed off. “I-I don't want to stay here.... Why would anyone want to stay in this house? It smells like flowers....” Natalia murmured, running her fingers through her hair repetively. “I don't have to do what you tell me, you know. I don't have to listen to anyone. I can do whatever I want.... I can do whatever I want. I don't have to listen...” Natalia insisted, but then paused. "....Why doesn't anyone listen? No one's here. No one. Not one. One not. Not one day I'll fly.... Far far away and then.... No one will listen. Not one.... I-I don't have to.... listen...." The babbling quieted, and Natalia's movements slowed, her curled up body relaxing, albeit unnaturally. Everything about her seemed numbed more than genuinely at ease as she leaned back against the tree trunk and stared listlessly up into space.
She blinked very slowly on occasion, and eventually, her movements grew more natural. She breathed, deeply, in and out, her gaze coming back into focus, more aware of her surroundings. She grimaced, sitting up straight and rubbing her forehead, which still felt numb. "Ugh.... What.... Where..." Natalia muttered, dropping her hands back to her sides, squinting and blinking in the darkness of the forest. It took her a moment to recall what happened, walking along, feeling exhausted, everything being hazy, feeling angry about something and then.... Blackout, and now everyone was staring at her; Aria, Aiden, Thalia, Calliope, Carmine... Natalia wondered if maybe she had fainted, but.... Given the looks on their faces, it was probably the worser option. A full blown breakdown. Lovely..... Natalia thought dully, moving to stand. "Stop looking at me like that....." Surprisingly, she felt nothing from the loss of thirty minutes of her life. A little surprised at how much time had passed, sure, but nothing else. She wasn't used to having breakdowns this severe, but..... Nothing. A slight hint of annoyance, but even that was negligible. She just felt... Dead, which was typical after taking her medication. All of her senses always numbed, she didn't feel motivated to do much of anything but she did them anyways, either out of habit or innate survival instinct. She couldn't care less if they ever left this forest, but she knew they needed to leave, and she couldn't leave Aiden behind, so she stood there, waiting for Aiden to make a move and appearing to ignore the donaphan in the room.

Leaving the Renaissance faire far behind them, the group traveled the long distance over city, mountain and ocean until finally Goldenrod came into sight. Avikna motioned for Arietty to land on a taller building to take a rest, given it'd been a few hours since their last break. Olivine wasn't to far away now, but it was best to take rest when it was presented, especially during long flights. The mega Charizard swooped down and promptly landed on the roof of the closest building, letting Avikna slid off to stretch out her legs a bit. The red met Mave as the wolf landed, both Aislin and Kezia slipped off the wolf's back to also stretch out their limbs. "I think now would be a good time to introduce a new addition of ours." Avikna stated, grabbing a ball from her belt. She released the Pokemon from within, revealing a pup-like Pokemon.
At first the canine held a lost look as she looked around at Avikna and all the Pokemon surrounding her. She didn't seem all that interested in any of them, but when Avikna knelled down, the canine's eyes caught something. The tattoo on Avikna's arms. The canine strode over, lifting it's front paws up onto Avikna's held up knee, sniffing at the Tattoo. The red-head watched her do this, quirked a brow. "It's a Rayquaza... an actual dragon." She stated, brushing the Lupup's fur with her fingers some. "You are not a dragon. Mega Ampharos is more a dragon than you, but whatever... Not like I planned on having a super ultimate dragon team to begin with." Lifting the canine up, Avikna stood, holding the Lupup out at arms length. "You look like a... Nepherit to me." The Lupup's head tilted to the side, seemingly contemplating the new name before she finally opened her maw and began to pant happily. "Nepherit it is, than." Setting her down on Mave's head, Nepherit got herself comfortable between Mave's horns. "Seeing as you just hatched, your move rouster can't be all that good, let's see if I have any Tm's You can learn." Bring out her pokedex, the red-head found the Lupup's data once more, then set to work finding Tm's she had on her that the little pup could have used upon her. Unfortunately, it didn't appear the little one could learn any of the Tm's she had on her, but during her search, Avikna did find two Big mushrooms dried up in her bag. "Gross, here." She tossed them towards the canine, Mave caught one but didn't eat it, letting the Lupup take it after she'd finished her first one. After, that, if two mushrooms weren't enough, Avikna handed over a Rare candy she'd also found in her bag, thankfully it was still wrapped up. There wasn't anything else to give her, so the red-head simply strung her bag back over her shoulder. They'd been standing there for nearly half an hour...
"Arietty, think you can make it to Olivine? We're less than an hours out." Avikna asked, turning to face the lizard .She nodded her head, stretching out her wings some before retracting them. "Alright, you'll get a nice long rest once we get to Olivine." That she could promise the Lizard, given they'd likely walk to Ecruteak and head towards Mahogany from there.

Goldenrod was semi-alive, which semi-woke Lafayette up. This was a big change from Azalea Town; whereas that place was quiet and composed of mostly Slowpokes, this was a city, alive and bustling with business and people. He hoped off of Dova and returned her, looking about with a frown. This would be a little more difficult to navigate than most the other places.
He took a moment to rub his eyes and take a deep breath. The air quality here… was about what you expected from a city. Maybe he could get a soda or something to give a little pep to his step. Maybe after he found the gym… yeah. That was fair. He’d get something once he located the gym.

Lafayette chugged the last of the soda he’d grabbed himself, crushing the can and chucking it into a nearby waste bin as he approached the gym doors. That… kind of helped him focus, though he was still struggling a little bit to stay awake. With a solid shake of his head he moved into the gym and paused to stare blankly.
What in the world kind of décor was this? It was…. It was something. Like a fancy restaurant but without the smells of semi-delicious food. It took a bit of maneuvering up and down and around different walls –no seriously, what the hell was with these gyms- before he found his way to the field. Groggily, he remarked to a young woman that he was here for a battle with the gym leader. Once the inquiries of whether he was alright or not were moved past –he was growing agitated as time went on- he stepped up to the field, watching with even more agitation as a rather bubbly Whitney appeared and addressed him. Arceus, she was way too happy. Once she was done gushing about her ‘cute’ pokemon though, the battle got underway. Thank goodness.

As Whitney watched her adorable Miltank fall tears began to well up into her eyes, and with her tears came a flash of anger. "Why you... you stupid mechanic!" she exploded, one hand clenching into a tight fist while she used the other to recall her precious pokemon. "You and that Espurr... it just isn't fair!" Whitney sniffled. "..Just because it's pink doesn't mean it's cute!" With that 'ego shattering' insult now thrown the young girl ran off, in tears, to her lounge, where she'd most likely spend a good majority of her time pouting. "...Maybe we should start locking the door during gym battles?" One of the other many girls suggested, a light murmur starting up between them to discuss their leader's predictable tantrum. "She really oughta grow up.." Another voiced, though rather than standing about she began to move towards Lafayette, taking on the role of 'temporary gym leader', just long enough to dole out his rewards. "Sorry about Whitney, she's just..." A brat? Irresponsible? Totally not cut to be a gym leader? "...Hungry. Here's your Plain badge, and a TM too. Have a good day."

Lafayette was a little surprised at Whitney’s response. He was use to the praises of ‘good battle!’ after a defeat from gym leaders that hers was something he hadn’t expected. With a tired frown he watched as she rushed off to the backroom in a fit. Well… hum…
The blonde glanced over as one of the other girls approached him to give him his winnings, eyebrow quirking as she tried to explain the reasoning for her gym leader’s actions. "Ah b***h?" The words just sort of slipped out as she paused in her apology; he was too tired to care that it was probably an uncalled for name to be applying to the young woman. But in this moment… he didn’t really care. She was a gym leader, a league sanctioned authority. If she wanted to act like a child, well then he ought to be free to say what he wanted. He gave a semi-apologetic look when he noted the young woman’s surprise at his response, taking the badge and TM from her.
"Ta shelia. Take care." Lafayette remarked with a tired wave, turning around and heading out of the gym. That was the third one down in this region… maybe he could take a short break? There were three more regions he needed to cover but he was making good headway so… yeah. A short break. Before he could really think too much about it though, his communicator was beeping again. Back... to Santalune? Hadn't he just been there? What the hell kind of wild goose chase was Juliean sending him on? With a sigh he let out Dova, who was starting to look tired herself and climbed up to get moving. Whatever. Back to Santalune it was then.
