Second time's a charm, or so she hoped anyways.
She started off by trying to wind up the launcher again, but she couldn't quite remember how she had done it last time. As a result...well.

It stabilized for a moment, and he gave a hopeful grin, but the glider was still dropping, and this was no time to relax. Seeing the island approach, he pressed his weight forward, accelerating the glider's descent, and it managed to land on the floating island, a sigh of relief.

The feelings of fear only got worse as things began to flicker around her. A flame on her glider, gradually growing larger with each passing second. Screams surrounding her as gliders and their pilots dropped down from around her, and then--
--and then she was okay again. Shaky, frightened, but not physically harmed.
