Mana~

"Wha-what the hell are you doing?!" Mana shouted as Gannon took hold of her, carrying her down to land. "Hey, no! Damn it! I only go when I have control!" She protested at first, but found that she was more tired than she'd first realized. She stayed quiet for a minute but then spoke up. "You idiot, if you know I'm that tired you shoulda left me behind and gone on yourself. Now that we're wasting this time, who knows what is happening to the Reyvateil we're supposed to be guarding! Man, I suck at being a vanguard," she groaned. Just then, her ears picked up a faint tune being sung, from what she could tell it was in Hymmnos. "A Song?" Mana asked. "It sounds like a lot of people are singing it... If we follow it, that should be where the action is, right?" Damn, I'm gunna have to drink at least two more of those Droopy Sodas to survive this, she thought irritably.

Rhaplanca Rhaplanca shook her head, "No I assure that this method is safe despite the power surges. As long as the Life Giver is singing the tower will not shutdown," she informed, "Whatever the C.P.G. is doing, it can only weaken Rhemi's song, not stop it," she thought back to Vegna's mission to destroy the goddess, "However if they were to locate the goddess," she implied her death but couldn't say it, "The tower's loss of it's administrator would cause an automatic shutdown," she frowned. She looked at Miko to reassure her, "These elevator rides should not be long," on cue the elevator slowed and the doors opened, "C'mon, K2 next," she said as she hurried out of the elevator and ushered everyone into the next elevator, "Two more after this one," she said as she pressed the button to descend to level J.

Miko~

"All right." Miko didn't mean it to come out like that, but her tone had more than a hint of relief to it. "I'll be glad to get to Seraca and find out what is going on. Hopefully Mana and Gannon are all right," she added. She was quick to obey when Rhaplanca ushered them onto the next elevator.

Ishira

Ishira huddled in behind Noaah, "Same," he frowned thinking of Gannon and Mana off alone. There wasn't even a guarantee that they even met up. Almost as soon as they started this elevator it had slowed to a stop, but their nerves made it seem an eternity in the silence, "Next one?" he looked at Rhaplanca.

Miko~

The half-ling bit her lip. Under more normal circumstances, it would have been comical, and she might have teased Rhaplanca good-naturedly about spacing out like that. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Likely, Rhaplanca was fretting over some of the same things Miko herself was worrying over. The tower, her sister, Gannon, Hikari... The girl stepped onto the next elevator along with everyone else, sighing softly. She wondered what kind of scene they would come across.

[Nevermind, I'm up to date again : D]
Noaah had been in a sort of daze the whole way through. Ever since he'd looked out over the edge of that path, his mind had fallen elsewhere, as he walked along with his group in a sort of half-sleepwalk. He was worried... Terribly worried. Vegna... He's much stronger then me in terms of Song Magic, and it doesn't help that we were both created the same way, with the same information downloaded into us. He probably knows where the Chronicle of Orgel is as well... What if I ever need to fight him? I barely know any Song Magic, if any... I need Dives, and I need them soon, but there's no one to dive into me willingly... Unless someone wants to help me, then my Cosmosphere won't allow them in deeper then the first level. Urgh...
What am I doing with these people anyways? I'm nothing but a burden on them... a filthy C.P.G. lackey as they called it, I think. I'm doing more harm then good travelling with them, just another useless thing to watch over, like a fragile object waiting to shatter. But I can't help it. I want to be friends with all these people, these people that helped me... Noaah's eyes seemed to light up though, when he noticed his body jolt up and down, his eyes looking wildly around him.
An elevator? When had they gotten in an elevator? He couldn't recall, but he recognized this place. It was the sort of central lift system of the tower, used primarily by important political members or tower technicians accompanied by a Reyvateil, or the Administrator and Goddess herself. To think he was in an elevator that the Goddess might have used... It made him smile a bit, but the lights suddenly began to flicker, worry flicking on and off inside of him in tune with the lights. "The Life Giver's power is failing... We need to hurry up, Rhaplanca..." he said, in a tone that wasn't harassing, but none too gentle either. The Life Giver was just as important as the Administrator; if the Life Giver was drained of her power, or stopped singing her song, the tower's energy supply would cease, and viruses would be able to course through the tower and materialize endlessly, causing the destruction of the innermost workings of the tower, and possibly recreating a Grathnode Inferia event, if they really dealt damage within.
As the elevator began to descend, he was asked a question. "Binary Field...? Isn't it a metaverse beyond the Cosmosphere that connects things to the Tower? Hmm... Wait, let me think a bit... Yes, I'm pretty sure you can access the Binary Field through a Reyvateil's Cosmosphere, by hacking into the 'Tower of Life'. The 'Tower of Life' is a component of the Cosmosphere that takes the form of an area within our soulspace. Think of it as a root, and the tower as a tree; the main tree extends branches and roots out into all Reyvateils, so in a way, all Reyvateils are connected to the tower, and through the tower, are connected to each other. This connection is made possible through the 'Binary Field', which would be like the space in which everything is connected to the tower. A lot of things are done in the Binary Field, like tower configuration, tower manipulation, execution of Song Magic as well as inter-Reyvateil communication." He nodded his head once, looking at Rhaplanca to see if she was following.
"If you're thinking of somehow contacting another Reyvateil, like the Life Giver, I wouldn't suggest it. First of all, you'd need to Dive into a fellow Reyvateil to gain access to the Binary Field, and second of all, the Reyvateil which you are trying to 'access', the one you're communicating with, must be somehow connected to the Binary Field as well, which means she either has to be in a Dive or sublimated and spiritually living within the Binary Field, or by some other unknown means. Trying to contact the Life Giver would only disrupt her singing further, since you'd basically be interrupting her through her Cosmosphere, her very spirit. Were you intending to use the Binary Field for another reason though...?" he asked, looking at the young girl before him.

Rhaplanca Rhaplanca's hope seemed more and more impossible by each passing word of Noaah's explanation, "Not Rhemi, Hikari," she clarified with a defeated look, "But as you said it's probably not wise. Hikari herself would be in a conscious state to sing," Rhaplanca bit her lip and shifted her weight with her hand on her hip, "It's probably not a wise idea to split up anyway," she said as the last elevator finally jolted to a stop.
"This is it," she said as she sauntered out of the elevator, "It's a straight shot to the right out of the tower," soon after she led everyone down a corridor to another sealed door, once again she provided her authorization code and the door opened to the outskirts of Seraca. Rhaplanca's certainty of direction ceased when she set foot outside of the tower, like experiencing an instantaneous blindness, "This is the outskirts of Seraca," she said as she paused in her step and waited for the others to lead.

Ishira

Ishira waited impatiently for the last elevator to stop. Amidst his foot tapping and the conversation between Rhaplanca and Noaah, he was chomping at the bit to get into the C.P.G. as the elevator stopped. Now that their goal was a matter of on the other side of a door he was raring to go. Until the door to the tower opened to the greenery of the outskirts of Seraca. A defeated sigh escaped him, "Looks like we got a little ways to go yet," he said as he took the lead and waved for Miko to walk along side him, "We're officially on Fa Ciel land, we don't have to worry about heights at the moment," he smiled to bring relief to Rhaplanca and Miko.

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ Hikari was beyond terrified. She watched helplessly as the Hymn flowed from her, trying to fight it with every fiber of her being. No, no! Please, stop it! I don't want to do this! She prayed silently that someone would gun her down right there. If she died, then she wouldn't be able to finish it, right? Unfortunately, her prayers weren't answered. The Song continued, and suddenly, Hikari felt a change from within. On instinct, as if drawn to it, she stared upward at the giant mechanical sphere above them, transfixed. As frightened as she was, Hikari couldn't seem to look away.
The other Reyvateils that sang with her did the same, as if they had sensed the change simultaneously. All of the Reyvateils who sang did so gazing up at the transforming sphere, in a trance.
It continued to change shape, and due to the immense power flowing from it, the ground began to tremble slightly. Oh, no... I can't stop this... Hikari thought as she gazed up in horrified awe.
It was almost finished transforming. My Song is a Shining Light
Together We Shall All Unify in Radiance

Naomi crossed her arms as she stood there with the President, watching the events unfolding before them. "Finally, a way to put an end to the oppression," she sighed, almost in relief. She looked over to the man next to her. "Sir?"
He sneered. "Yes, all according to plan. Everything should fall into place after this. Once we find the Goddess, we will be able to find the Chronicle of Orgel as well. From there we should be able to overtake the Tower once we find the Life Giver and the Goddess."
"But what of the Fau Pira?" Naomi asked curiously.
"After we gain control of Ar Tonelico, we will have no further need for that Tower. And so, as it poses a threat, I will likely have the Fau Pira destroyed."
That didn't set well with Naomi. She bit her lip but said nothing. Sure, she had done some awful things in her lifetime, but it was all for the greater good, or so she'd told herself. But somehow, she couldn't see what greater good could come from destroying the Fau Pira and extinguishing thousands and thousands of lives that fully depended on that Server to exist.
"You seem displeased, Naomi."
She shook her head. "Not at all, Sir."

Miko~

When they stepped out into the city of Seraca, Miko couldn't help but think of how beautiful it was. "Wow, I really like this place. Maybe I should have left home sooner," she said with a ghost of a smile. There wasn't much time for sight-seeing, however. The ground vibrated beneath her, and a Song could be heard, amplified by many voices. "What is going on?" She asked. "Maybe we shouldn't be taking our time..." Miko quickened her pace to a jog. "I think maybe we should follow the singing. Since they said they were going to make Hikari sing, well..." She trailed off, leaving them to their own conclusions.

???

The man entered the chamber where Hikari was singing. He glanced over to the President and Naomi with no expression on his face. He was not summoned and he didn't much care if he was going to be scolded. He took in an apathetic breath and averted his gaze to Hikari before speaking, "They're close. They seemed to have separated into two groups. Gannon and another, then Noaah with another Reyvateil and two vanguards," he informed. He stood there as if to await orders.
