From the shadowy, ominous mist rising from the rain rose a figure darker than the shadows. In this mysterious night filled with a calm rain in the air, the trees whispered among one another of the obvious fella seeking out a council from the Shadow of this forest. Rain drowned the sound of thundering, heavy steps arising from the darkest shadow of the Highwind Tree and turning into the humanoid form known as Korok.
A right hand placed neatly upon the tree to set himself out of the shadow and unto visible eyes behind Kain. His movements grew dull in this rain because the water crashed against his armor and his cape, but nonetheless, he who called, was answered. Atop a small water puddle was this darkly figure in heavy armor. Though dark, also set with an aura of calmness.
"You seek something. Do you not?"

Exceed arrived at the Springs as well, seeking a place of calm and comfort as he was on the other side of the Lake as he was rubbing his face slightly. He was quite tired today, from the plague of nightmares from the past few nights. He decided to sit down at the lakeside, hoping it could calm his nerves so he could steel himself for the oncoming battle.

Kain looked to the King who arrived. He bowed deeply to Korok. "I have come to give you an urgent report milord" he said. He stood up and did the same he had for Exceed. A three dimensional, twenty by twenty map of Axiom appeared. He waited to see if the King was interested in listening. He took note of the appearance of Exceed.
The king was rather beset by the gesture made by Kain, but neither did he express anything nor did he move under the calmness of the rain. Each raindrop created an echo of it's own on his armor like a large music box sounding silently in the shadows. Emerald eyes pierced through the veil of the dark of the helmet and to Kain's eyes to hear what he had to say of utmost importance.
"Speak, young one."

Exceed could hear some voices near the area, soon looking up from where he was to see the other side of the pure lake. Across the plains he could see the King himself conversing with his royal guard as Exceed smiled a bit. He placed his right hand on his forehead as he received a bit of pain inside of his mind, shaking it off as he tried to calm himself down again. He tried to keep himself from eavesdropping and instead just focused on his mental state's upkeep.

"Kala's hold over Nocturne has fallen" the barrier over Nocturne faded. "The unholy and sinful are spreading looking for new havens" blackness started to expanded into the mountains of Yuran and northern forests of Kranila. He pointed to Fraxen "the great kingdom Fraxen has awakened and begun a crusade against all non-vangelists."
The king watched carefully at the map producing the effects of what was happening but he was not moved or preoccupied. Ever since he lay on the thorns, he had been watching over his nation strengthening and making sure that it would hold against a certain chaos. This was the prophecy perhaps that he had been awaiting? Maybe.
"Kranila will withstand and repel these forces. We will rise with. Fraxen and battle this great evil. Unless you suggest something else, Guard?"
Korok already knew of the evil spreading through his Captain's system. He sensed it from the moment he was there. Yet he had to finish his chat with his guard first under the drizzle.

A conch shell was pushed to Maria's ear as Dominus stepped through the beautiful city. He was careful not to harm anything, but even in his care, his size simply made it impossible. Maria spread light to anything he crushed, healing the forestry to 110% on her way. Solonor's light touched here, almost more than Fraxen. She was focused more on hearing Korok and his subjects. She found him easily, using the conch, in the first place she looked, and listened to the conversation. Soon, he would feel the tremors of Dominus's steps as he approached. The dragon was large. Nearly larger than most boss class monsters of his rank. He breathed cold air from his mouth as they approached, blue winds catching from him as he stepped through the rain. The sunlight breaking the canopy would intensify, but it would also increase the depth of the shadows. As Maria represented light, Korok was an envoy of the dark.
So the steps grew louder than the rain eventually, which was due to Dominus needing to show off. Soon the only thing between them was a small layer of trees. The dragons long black arms pushed through and grasped a couple of larger trees, pushing them aside slightly and poking his head through with a growl. Maria stomped on his head as she stepped forward, trying to make him calm down. "I have heard many stories of the Shadow of the Forest. But the man I see before me doesn't quite live up to the name. He far Exceeds it." She leaped from Dominus, landing with a soft patter against the ground, a puddle splashing as she did so. Her armor had been stripped, all but her always active OctoFrame. She wore a white sundress that was open in an elegant arc up to the mid point of her thigh in the front, but longer in the back. She was trying to look nice, but she was Volana to her core and this was more than she liked wearing outside battle.
To show respect, the Queen of the Tides curtsied before him, and Intet gave a grunt and nod through the trees. "If news has yet to reach you, I shall introduce myself. I am Maria Kal. This is my child, my world, In-" the dragon growled. "Dominus. I bring good news to you, in times of great peril and danger. I, along with the new ruler of Kevai Akeem and the illusive host of Sloth Nai, slew Kaminae. It was my decision to separate the demon witches connection to hell's gate that broke Kala's hold on Nocturne." She took a second, allowing all of what she had said to sink in. Inwardly, Dominus smirked as Maria continued, stepping closer to the throne. "With her death came chaos among her kind. Demons and conspirators among Micheal's own court are a new, powerful enemy we must all face together." She stopped not far from him, allowing him to see her crown, and the piece of Belfast as proof that she was no pretender.
"As you may know, I was once the governess of Kenai. Well, actually I still am. The great lands of Yuran and Kranilla have remained relatively safe from the affairs of Demons and Angels. But now you are as much in danger as well. You are the king of this city, and as the Governess of it I am asking for your aid, King Korok." Her entire demeanor changed entirely. "It is time for Yuran and Kranilla to become Kenai. My proposal for this is simple, but I shall digress for a moment. When I went to Yuran, after removing the pretender, on order of Raphael of House Giletti, to claim the throne a foolish idiot named Jasper stopped me with envy's power. Had he not been there I would have went from there here and united our great nations, with you as the King Regnant of Kusana, and I the Queen Regnant of Yuran. What I need from you now, is something similar. I want, simply, to marry you as the Governess and Vassal Queen of Yuran, and then go to remove the newest pretender Queen or King and unite Kenai." As she finished her hefty statement she would look the Shadow king dead in his face with a serious and unmoving expression.
((BTW/TL;DR: Maria is the governess of Kenai and technically the Vassal Queen of Yuran, meaning that since West is of the house Giletti and Emperor of Fraxon and he decided Maria would be Queen, as during the Human Perogative the humans forced Kenai down and House Giletti, and by extension West/Raphael, still own them. She wants Korok and Maria to have a Royal marriage, where Maria holds more power in Yuran and Korok gets to keep more power in Kranilla, but they TOGETHER rule Kenai.))
• Seashores The Mer are hyper-aware of everything around them, their five senses deeply active. They feel the light touching their shoulder, the running about of the small creatures, everything. They're very perceptive, moreso than most races. Furthermore, when listening through a conch (many Mer carry one everywhere), they can hear things for hundreds of meters around them.
• Seashells The Mer are capable of speaking to all sea creatures, although they have the closest connection to the small ones. Tiny little creatures like crabs, shrimp and the littlest of fish, they often reach out to the Mer to protect them from the predators of the sea. A young Mer will often form a powerful bond with one of these creatures, and this enables them to quite literally share their longevity with this creature. The lifespan of the small creature they bond with will increase, making them as long-lived as their Mer companion, although they will also die if their Mer dies (though the Mer will not die if the companion dies). This life-long companion counts as a pet rather than a summon, but at high ranks, it can become extremely deadly.
The creature grows with you in ranks, and will also rapidly grow in size, into something that is simply unusual for its species. It should be noted that this creature will evolve into being capable of breathing/walking on land. Some animals are obvious; a lobster, a crab, etc. Less obvious ones such as regular fish will evolve in highly strange ways, some of them even turning out to look nearly parallel to a Mer. These creatures can have their own movesets. Furthermore, they can eventually, if desired, take up the summon slot and the seashell slot -- which would enable them to grow in power immensely.
• Masterful Dragon Riding The dragoon must spend a considerable amount of time riding on their dragon, and must know how to ride on them from every single part of the dragon without falling off. This takes a considerable amount of time to do, but once accomplished the dragoon will be able to accomplish incredible feats, such as holding onto a single dragon spine with one hand while your dragon is in an upside down position mid flight, whilst still being able to use your weapon proficiently.
• Telepathy As the name implies, it is a simple form of telepathy between you and your dragon. Thoughts, images, emotions, sounds... pretty much anything can be felt in this link, and it is a constant link. If the dragon is hurt, the dragoon can sense it, and vice versa. This however, also prevents the two from lying to each other, as they can see what the other is truly thinking.
• Soft Landing A passive all dragoons must learn, as without learning this skill, when they performed their super high jumps they would simply splatter against the ground. Once this technique is learned the dragoon can survive falls from incredible distances, and come out unharmed.

'Exceed' Bladed Gunner ╔══════════════╗
Exceed departed from the lake, having cleared his mental state from corruption, getting up and walking away to go and find a better place. As he left, he was gripping his own left arm as it was in pain for the most part. (Exits)
Even before the large dragon entered the city, the trees had whispered of a graceful woman and a menacing black dragon entering his humble abode. The creaky trees stopped their musicality once they had portrayed enough visual information about this certain person. This was his domain after all. The moment her light would touch his seedlings and his great oaks, he felt a strange aura of calmness above the stranger. Even when the trees behind the dragon where pushed aside, the roots would seemingly come to life and "walk" back to their respective place with the magic of the Shadow.
Emerald eyes shifted from his Guard to his back and towards the approaching damsel and her dragon long before they were in his area. He dismissed the Guard with just a sign of his right hand to leave him for this affair. His eyes lay focused upon her gallant dress and her graceful steps even with such a large beast behind her. His own armor clinked lightly with each tap of the falling rain. Upon her arrival, roots broke from the earth below him and took off his helmet into the abyss of the dirt. Deku Children across his forest crawled silently watching this political affair in progress, and even began a small song with the drops of rain and their small violins.
The king made no sudden movements in his large armor only to pierce straight into her eyes. All within his nation knew how much he hated to be bowed before. He much rather preferred a handshake or a simple "hello". Upon hearing her speak about these matters and her strange proposal, then the king turned side-wards and walked in a circular motion clockwise to stop at her 3 o'clock. He was certainly thinking of the situation, but not very intrigued of what she spoke. His body turned completely towards her and finally faced the beautiful damsel.
"It seems you very well know me, and respect the forest as much as I do, Maria Kal. Your creature intrigues me and scares my trees, but as long as it does no harm to my forest, you are both welcome."
After a short pause and scanning around at the sky and the trees, he looked at her again with the calmness of the music before them and the sound of rain and spoke.
"Although I am intrigued of your news from the outsides of Kranila. I do not understand what you ask of me in all actuality. I am a married man and I love her very much. If I understand what you're saying correctly, then you're telling me to marry and wage war against Yuran simply to unite the nation into Kenai? For years long has this nation been kept safe by my hand, and this shall not be the day that my peaceful grasp wages war simply for a ghost of which you dream, my dear."
The Shadow's eyes grew very serious and patriotic when his eyes wandered once more and then locked on her seemingly yellow pearls.
"My nation already has trained soldiers and a living forest army willing to give up their lives for the freedom I give them... We shall die on our feet instead of live on our knees if war comes to our table. We are a neutral, peaceful nation. I intend to keep it that way, beautiful Maria."
His lips were almost as tantalizing as the words he spoke to her. At no moment did he intend to disrespect her or was he flirting with her. She deserved respect and compliments like all other person that stood before him. These were the words of the Shadow of the Forest. He spoke for his entire nation and its' ideals.

Maria watched his movements, as did Dominus as the wildlife around him caught his attention. Though his gaze upon them was softer it was one of intrigue, and not one of any inviting nature. The dragon very carefully sat down on a bed of soft moss below him, the rain beginning to lapse him into a much more calm state of mind. A steam would rise from his body, concealing him, and he would undergo a change in mere moments, changing to his flying dragon state, his wings folded in and his tail folded. This way he took up less space and also seemed like he belonged in the forest better. As this occured Maria would wait, seeing as how watching a dragoon pet transform was somewhat of a rare sight. Maria could only appreciate Korok's words. Dominus puffed out a white haze of smoke at the man when he said. It's hard not to step on such small things as flowers. Who cares anyway? Without giving any sign that she was speaking to him as she absorbed the Shadow King's words, Maria retorted Dominus's angsty remarks. Remember our conversation of the krill, and Kaminae? Dominus mentally nodded, an odd gesture that they had mastered before he knew how to speak. Think of Korok as you. Dominus went to speak, but had no retort. She made a good point.
Maria's smile contorted into a slight look of embarrassment. "I did not know that you were married. Forgive me. Im sure she is the luckiest woman alive." She looked at him, his wistful gaze and dreamy appearance. The music helped to fit the mood. "Korok, my King, your nation is no doubt a powerful place. It is why I came here first. Because you, of all others, must know the dangers that are coming." She seemed to state this matter of factly as she pulled her crown free, her hair falling down over her face a bit but not enough to conceal it. Upon her forehead was an almost living tattoo. It was a blazing sun, red and yellow like the one above their heads and as bright. She wore this proudly; The Mark of Solonor. "Your nation is strong from not only its own living trees, nor the light that touches it by the hand of my goddess Solonor. It survives from the shadows cast by that light. You Korok. But in the coming times, no one nation will be enough on it's own to stay the tides of the demons. When the gate was forever forced open and the demons severed from it, a proverbial arms race began. And this, Korok, is why I am not telling you anything. I do not presume to tell you what is right, or what you need to do. I am merely asking for your aid." She looked around herself, and allowed herself to feel the waters and musics, to feel what he felt.
"War need not be waged, Korok. Not for very long. Your nation will only remain at peace if you force the world around you to accept that. The volatile state of Yuran is a threat to that peace. A direct one. With Kumori, the "King of Shadows" and Isabella as it's rulers nothing but bad can come to you. But the two of us together, could perhaps go there and push them down. Your people and the people of Yuran wouldn't need to get involved in the slightest. Only us. And when we are finished, I would raise Yuran as a brother to Kranilla. A strong light, for the strong shadow. When the demonic army, and the mutineers of heaven come, your already strong nation would be doubly protected under the banner of Kenai. This political maneuver needs no blood be shed, and would be nothing but good for the people of Kranilla. Just imagine how many fewer casualties you would face if Yuranian soldiers fought alongside Kranillan forces. How fewer people would need to give up their lives for freedom." She hoped that appealing to his need to protect his people would out push his want to stay out of world affairs. Weather he wanted them to be or not, Kranilla was directly in the crosshairs of forces outside of he or Maria's control. She could only pray he would not choose to stay isolated from the Fraxon military. But if he did... Maria would only pray for him, and go to Akeem instead for an ally in simply disposing the dark Queen and Shadow King.

The king's eyes grew weary of talk of war and this connected itself with the entire emotion within the soul of the forest. The Deku Children of his domain spread out happily trying to change the mood and the tension of this conversation into a much happier one. Thus, the crawling ones on high trees jumped on top of the dragon that now had wings and played their instruments happily. Some 10 must've been dancing and the other 20 were playing their tiny instruments in an array of hope, love, and happiness. The entire forest grew into a place of happiness when even the sun arose from between the clouds and a big rainbow arose. Arduinna's blessing upon Korok was far stronger than the presence of a mere dragon.
A mighty right hand arose from his side open and looking towards the ground. This strong magic gave life around him and all the buds, roses, and flowers began to take life once more. The ambiance of tension around them changed in a 180. All around Korok's feet were now bright white, thornless roses. Even two tiny Deku children jumped on the mistress' shoulders. One of them played his little flute happily while the other danced joyfully in circles.
Once playing his right hand down, the king smiled heftily to her "Perhaps you do not understand, beautiful damsel. My aid will always be at your disposal as long as my creatures are not harmed. Look at them! How can I take them to war? They are free... We're all free. After all, what is the glory of Kranila? An idea. An idea long set by my forefathers where we're all happy, free, and strong. I will aid you in any affairs, except war. Unless, I find myself in a position in which I am already declared war. An'ha tei kiri."
Then the shadow started walking towards her, leaving white roses wherever he stepped. The armor clinked and clanked but soon he found himself right in front of her. A bright smile crossed the seemingly menacing king as he placed his index and middle finger on her forehead where her tattoo lay. He spoke the Entish language at the end that would mean nothing to her, but it was a sort of blessing for his kindred spirits. The merry king didn't worry about war in his prosperous republic of Kusana.
"Evil shall never set foot upon this forest. Why? It once did and tried to overtake me, but it failed. I have my light. My wife is the light of my forest and the light of my life. I am not a true Shadow myself as they call me. I am the Guardian of this forest. I am the God of this forest, as set by Arduinna, the goddess of nature herself. Let us come to an accord, young queen. I will travel with you to meet this king and queen. I shall not participate in any political affairs unless spoken to and I desire for you not to involve me in these affairs. I will only be there as your aid and to settle things with words if possible. If they declare war on us, then we shall not face them at the moment. Instead, they should be faced somewhere between both nations so that we aren't rash and be at a disadvantage. Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo."
The happy king let his fingers go from her forehead while taking a step back and smiling at this beauty before him. All outside of Kranila mistook him for a King who ruled with an iron fist, but instead he had turned his nation into a republic and he was a humble, peaceful, and wise king. His intent was to be wise about war. He had been the one who led his nation to battle many times and he knew the best military decisions weren't made rashly. Thus, the little creatures around the forest continued their merry song in celebration that the king always kept his word to aid those in need. He was a man of large heart.

Maria furrowed her brow, and soon her face followed into a frown as he touched her forhead. Somehow, however, she knew he had no dark intentions, and when he touched the tattoo a ray of light came through and touched them both, warm in a more metaphorical way than literal. She closed her eyes and listened to his mumbling gibberish. She opened her yellow eyes to him and tried to find words as he spoke again, and seemed to understand a little more who she was dealing with. Maybe it was the Deku children but even Dominus was feeling lighter. As they jumped around him, rather than growl he simply lowered his head in defeat as the cuteness washed over him. He whimpered like a defeated dog, but lay still either way. Maria thought on his words, his demeanor, his choice, his offer. She found the stories were... exaggerated of the man of shadows, King Korok.
"Korok, I must apologize." she flatly stated, her meritian coming in heavy through her common tongue as she faltered. In truth, the woman was little more than a young warlord set in place by emperor Raphael. She stared directly into his eyes, seeing through the enigma that was the king of Kranilla. Seeing Korok for what he had shown her. "I find the rumors to be untrue, and frankly unjust. You are more than a man of darkness and shadows. You bare the forest in your very actions. My goddess would find Favor in you as well. Do not take my words lightly, for I no longer believe it within my right to ask for you to put yourself at risk as we surely would be. Perhaps I shouldn't have come. Kumori, the self proclaimed king of Yuran and Isabella will not simply back down, in all likelihood. I am a fighter better than a politician. What I need to do is remove them, even if by force, even if by war, to bring Yuran back to Kenai. It was a task given to me by the Emperor of Fraxon, to whom I and the King of Kevai are merely Vassals. And when I do remove the pretenders, even politically, I would hope to bring Yuran and Kranilla together, the Forest of Beautiful Shadows and the Mountains of Radiant Dawn in symbiosis. A peaceful coexistence. The only war we will face will be when those who threaten all of us, the people of all nations, come to threaten us. If you believe that helping me in my path lies in your favor, than I will gladly accept you. But if it truly doesn't sit well with you, than I will call on another. But regardless, I should hope to have your council in the future, as both King, and friend." She extended a hand to him, a smile on her face and in her eyes.
Dominus could see it in her mind. Something had changed. In a short time, Korok had touched her. It was odd, sure. Perhaps Maria was just young and taken with the man as per typical mer girls and boys were. Maybe inwardly she had always longed for someone like Korok. All she knew was pain, and war, she had killed a king, a goddess, and hundreds of others in the name of vengence. But she had no goal besides what had been given to her by Raphael. Dominus had known her pain as well, and he could only be happy that she had found someone to show her something else was possible. She could never be the way she was before, but she could be more than she was then. More than just a kingslaying pawn in a game larger than herself. Solonor had seen to that, and it was as if the light of her goddess had presented Korok as the next step.

A mind filled with thought of what rumors were spread of his kingdom and of himself tried to stray from curiosity. He could bear no more and wondered what was spoken of him. Probably most of it was exaggerated even though it was true in the most part. The sweetness of his Entish words escaped his mouth once more as he place his left pal over her forehead once more to sing to her the song of his people that had long been a blessing. The great Arduinna's green aura could be seen covering Korok while he sang and the small Deku ents changed their theme to a more blessing one.
"Et Earello... Endorenna utulien. Sinome maruvan ar hildinyar... tenn' Ambar-metta."
The great Korok opened his eyes after having sung, and with his same hand over her forehead, directed it towards grabbing her hand that extended for his friendship. He gently grasped it and brought it up to his lips and then down again. He kept grabbing her hand gently only to give her his wisdom. Arduinna kept singing in a calm way that even the large rainbow calmed down its colors and the wind blew through the trees ominously. (Elysium. Honor Him. We Are Free.)
"That was the song of my people... Of my forest and Arduinna herself. It angst me to know what rumors are spread out of me, but I'd much rather know why do you insist on this war? You are far to beautiful to be thinking of such things, even when set down by another. I am done with the thought of older men putting thoughts of war into the young. That curse ends here in Kranila! Let this day be known were the doors of this nation will remain open for you even in refuge from war."
The aura of Arduinna faded from his side, and the Deku ents started playing with Dominus' spikes and wings while this chilling, beautiful song played for them both. It was the voice of Arduinna singing in Entish to his people. She wanted to let Maria know that peace was an answer... to let her know that she could rest in this kingdom of the forest from all hatred and pain. This was a heaven on Axiom as far away from danger as possible... and kept safe by the angels of the forest. The other 2 inch Deku ents on top of Maria's shoulders pet her hair and smiled at her. The message was clear that she could always rest here. Thus, he let her hand go.
"I do not go back on my word. I will aid you, but only to stand at your side. I wish not to speak or to stand in the middle. My nation is and always will be neutral. The forest is your friend, and it welcomes you with open arms."
Then the merry king seemed to chuckle and his eyes seemed to close more with such a quirky remark.
"But seriously. I'm curious. What are the rumors going on about me?"
