 The roots of the Highwind tree first descend into Clearwing lake. This is a wonderful crystal clear spring that provides life for the tree. Its waters are enchanted, and is said it heal even lethal wounds. but it cannot be move as the tree's roots will instantly wrap you if you try to take the water. The only people allowed to take the water is the ruler(s)(Captains too) of the city. You are free to swim or take a sip here.

Draco walked to the water's edge an took out his tome of elemental spells. He went straight to the water spells section of the tome, and looked at the first spell. He briefly went over it, and then decided to try it out. Streaming Water. A small amount of water from the lake rose out, went around Draco, and went back into the lake.
1/1 Streaming Water learned
Draco went back to the tome and looked up the next water spell. It was called Water Spout, and it basically just gave him a higher vantage point to attack from. He could probably do the same thing by flying to a tree branch, but he may not always be surrounded by trees. So Draco took a few minutes to study the spell.

Once he was done, Draco put away the tome, and tried it out. Water Spout. The water from the lake welled up under him and rose him up to about two stories in height.After checking to see if the spell was still stable, Draco lowered himself back to the ground.

Draco opened up the tome again, and looked up the next spell. This one created a whip out of the water, and the length and damage it could do corresponded with how energy was used in it. Draco wasn't really one to use weapons, but it never hurt to have different ways to attack people.

Once he was done studying the spell, he went right to trying it out. Water Whips. The water from the lake formed a whip in his hand, and Draco raised his hand up to his ear. He then quickly shot it back and forth, causing a loud snap to be heard from the whip. Satisfied that the spell worked, Draco tossed the water back into the lake.

Draco went back to the tome and looked up the next spell. This one was called the Water shields spell, and it seemed to be pretty versatile. It used the water to basically make a moving shield that could either be turned to ice, or stay as water to absorb the blow.

It also said that it's able to swallow the weapon that the shield was hit with. Which would be pretty useful depending on the situation. So Draco spent his time memorizing the spell.

A few minutes later, Draco closed the book, and tried out the skill. Water shields. Draco moved the water from the lake and around himself, making a water shield. But the shield wasn't fluid and just stayed in one place.

Draco cancelled the spell and went back to his tome. "Something isn't quiet right." So he spent a few minutes going over the details of the spell.

Once Draco thought that he had a pretty good grasp of the spell, he tried it out again. Water shields. He took the water from the lake, and made a shield out of it. This time the shield was more fluid, and could move according to his will.

Now that Draco had that done, he looked up the next spell. This one was simply called Water Jet. All it did was make a strong stream of water to knock back enemies.

Draco already had something similar, namely his dragon breath. But this wasn't as strong, and it cost less energy to use, so he might as well learn it. So he took a few minutes to study the skill.

Once Draco was done, he decided to try it out right away. Water Jet.He started to raise up the water from the lake, and started to move it around. But the water stayed in a blob sort of form, instead of the fast stream that he wanted.

He put the water back into the lake, and brought the tome back out. "Better study it a little more." So he spent the next couple of minutes going over the skill.

Once Draco was done, he tried out the skill again. Water Jet. He brought the water out of the water again, and condensed it. This time a stream of water shot out of the globe and went back into the lake.

Draco felt that he knew enough water spells to be prepared for most things, but what if he didn't have any water sources nearby? He opened up the tome and went to the air section. Air was nearly everywhere, so he didn't have to worry about Once he went to the section, he was immediately drawn to one of the skills there. One called Enhanced Speed and Jump.

Apparently it did what it was titled to do. It made the person move faster, and jump higher. It even made them fast enough to run across water. Since Draco was a draconian, he was inherently slow because of his physiology. But with this, he wouldn't be at such a disadvantage. So Draco took a few minutes to go over the skill.

Once he was done, he tried out the skill. Enhanced Speed and Jump. Draco then proceeded to run in a straight line. But he didn't seem to be running any faster than he normally did.

Draco sighed and went back to the tome. "Looks like I have more reading to do." Draco spent another few minutes going over the skill.

Once Draco was done, he put the book away and started running in a straight. Enhanced Speed and Jump. Draco formed energy in his muscles, and added some wind to push him behind. Which was enough to give him a good boost in speed.

The next skill was called Air Suction. It was similar to one of the spells he already knew, although it was weaker. But Draco though he should learn it anyway, just so he could be more used to the wind. So after studying the skill for a bit, he used it. Air Suction. He pulled at the air, and centered the pull at a rock a few feet away. And the rock then flew right to his hand.

The next one was fairly simple. It was called the Air Punch/Kick, and when the user punches, small compressed pockets of air fly away from his fist. Once Draco studied the skill, he went right to trying it. Air Punch/Kick. Draco punched the air and saw a nearly visible outline of the pocket of air that was shot away.

The next one he wanted to learn was called the Air Shield.He thought that since he only had three defensive techniques so far, then he should probably have at least one more. So he spent a few minutes studying the skill.

Once he was done studying, he decided to try it out. Using the water from the lake, Draco used water jet on himself. Air Shield. Draco turned sideways, pull the air with him as he turned, and managed to deflect the water using the air current.

Draco took a moment to just take a quick breather. Going through so many skills was taking it out of him. But he felt that he had learned enough for one day, and should probably check up on the palace. So he dusted himself off, put the tome in his pack, and made his way out of the area.

Zane ran to the roots of the Highwind Tree. Stopping at the lake, Zane decided to grab a drink. Seeing his reflection atop of the water's surface, Zane grinned and ran his hand through his hair. He liked this look, his blue hair, his eyes, it seems to suit him. And even though he can always change his form, Zane preffered this one over any other. After the cooling water ran down his throat, Zane took off once again. 2/8

Raphael arrived, and walked up to Elizabeth, where he began to look around. ''See anything, my lady? Anything at all..?'' He asked, as he was eager to prove himself to her, and Kusana.

Zane had been traveling through the trees as he looked around for something to do. As he stopped at a tree branch across from the great tree Zane spotted a young girl with cat like ears standing away from the shore line. Hiding himself, Zane decided to spy on her and see what exactly it was that she was doing. Obviously she was afraid of the water, having had a similar conversation with Luna and having been a Kiranu himself, he remembered hating the water.

Elizabeth listened closely. her heightened hearing allowed her to hear small rustles in the bushes. Her ears twitched, and she looked to her left. One of the man eating plants could be seen through the bushes. Elizabeth pointed to it, "One over there. So, who get's first kill?"

Raphael smiled, and bowed at Elizabeth, ''Ladies first, madame...'' He said, quickly noticing the man seemingly looking at Elizabeth. However, he didn't really care, as he doubted he was a threat. So he simply stood and watched, waiting to see Elizabeth's abilities.

Elizabeth nodded, then crouched down. From the holes in her long sleeves, 5 large, sharp claws shot from the arm holes. She lept into the tree branches, and skillfully jumped to her target. she used her natural quickness and agility to gain momentum. Once she felt she was going fast enough, she lept from the branches down onto the plant creature. As she fell at it, the creature looked up at her. She saw this as her chance. She used her cat eye's ability to freeze the creature, leaving it helpless under her.
Elizabeth dove onto the froven creature, slamming her feet into it's head, and stabbing at it's neck, the pulling outwards, severing the head. She got off the creature and her nails returned to their normal size. she then walked back over to Raphael and said, "One down, your turn."

Raphael clapped, ''Bravo.. My turn, I suppose.'' He said, as he spotted another plant, nearby the shore of the lake. He smiled, and dragged his scythe along the ground, before touching the surface of the lake with the blade. It began to freeze, and quickly, he slammed into the lake, before digging upwards, sending dozens of large ice shards propelling towards the enemy. The stabbed it one at a time, before eventually killing it. He then turned back around, and smiled, saying, ''Successo. Your turn again, Lady Elizabeth.'' He said, gesturing for her to continue.

Elizabeth looked around, and saw one in the open, away from any trees or things to climb. "Oh, this is going to be difficult." She extended her claws again, then ran at the plant creature. the creature turned and lashed out with one of it's vines. Elizabeth jumped into the air, and over the creature, hoping to get a strike from behind. As she landed, she noticed she was very close to the water, and lost focus on her target. The creature lashed at her, knocking her into the lake. Soaked, and fearing the water, Elizabeth thrashed around, for a few seconds, before getting back to shore. One of her claws was busted during the flailing, and was barely hanging on to her hand. She swung her hand away and the claw flew off. Thats when she got the idea.
Elizabeth used a little of her energy to weaken the point of contact where the claws met the fingers. she then swung her arms in a swiping motion, and the claws broke off, and flew towards the plant creature, cutting it to ribbons. She walked back over to where Raphael was, soaked and clearly mad.
