Spoilers should always be posted in white. Tia, if you want to make a thread based solely on spoilers, you can do that but inform us if it is a spoiler thread.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 05, 2010 10:10 pm

What would you consider spoilers exactly, then? Basically any sort of information that comes out at this point? For example, these two videos have just come out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAy7uYFkqpY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d6BTt84Aig

They show off djinn class-changing/effects/a couple of summons, but they also end up showing where you can find some of the djinn. I guess showing where you can find djinn WOULD be a spoiler. Do you want me to stop posting new info on Dark Dawn entirely on this thread?

@VenusRain: It's probably not a good thing that I would agree with you, simply because it would be hilarious if they did. XD

I really doubt Camelot would put that much effort into remembering that... But alas. Whatevs.

I'm kinda upset that the new Judgment summon is shorter... the Gameboy version just felt so epic whenever I summoned him.

^One of the very things I love about Camelot, Singsaith, is that they DO focus on minor details, like looking in ovens in every town you visit, and finding out what the locals eat.

They could've just cut the Judgment summon down for the video. Personally, I don't think it feels any less epic. neutral

Stand corrected. But I still do feel cheated. I mean, it was just the idea that the guy shot an energy ball into Weyard and the explosion carried for miles and hit the enemy.

Now it's like, "Oh hey, it's relatively close, boom".

To me, less epic. But that is my opinion.

^It is indeed.

Just thought I'd drop these little tidbits off:

http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/news/2010/a_golden_sun_follows_a_dark_dawn_19262.html

Quote:
As well as the luscious 3D graphics, new gameplay features include the ability to respond with different emotional reactions to various scenarios in the game, with your choice of emotion having an impact on the replies you receive from other characters you meet. If you choose a “gutsy” reply for Matthew during a tense moment, other characters may get annoyed that you’re not taking the situation seriously. Choose an “angry” reply, though, and you might find that they respond confrontationally in turn…

A new Weapon Mastery feature allows characters to gain expertise with specific weapons by using them more frequently and you can also now combine your team’s powers to advance through the story. New Psynergies are available to characters, adding new depth to puzzles, and an optional Touch Screen command system allows for intuitive gameplay, enabling certain Psynergies to be directed using the Touch Screen and stylus. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn also contains a comprehensive encyclopaedia, allowing the player to become fully immersed in the mythology of Golden Sun.

There's also this new description from Amazon.com:
Quote:
"Thirty years after Weyard was saved from planetary collapse, a new generation of elemental warriors struggles to survive in a radically changed world. Black holes now drain the life from the land, while kings clash across the continent. Apocalypse is coming—and only you can stop it! ~ Unleash your Djinn: Collect over 80 elemental creatures that grant your warriors additional spells, plus the ability to summon deities into battle to cause immense damage. Each Djinni also has its own unique attack or effect, so the more you have, the more options you’ll have in battle. ~ Experience a planet-sized epic journey across a vast continent, through many cities and ancient ruins, following an epic tale about rising empires and dead civilizations. As you grow from lowly apprentices to powerful masters, you’ll fight through hordes of monsters, ferocious bosses, and fierce military generals—and ultimately try to stop the devastation of the planet itself. ~ Wield the power of Psynergy: Cast dozens of elemental Psynergy spells to blast fire, air, earth, and water at your enemies during battles. You can also use many of these spells to get through puzzling dungeons, flinging fireballs to burn obstacles in your way, freezing water to raise platforms, and throwing whirlwinds to create a suspension bridge from floating objects."

Hm. It looks like we will, in fact, be confined to Angara again.

That said, the encyclopaedia has me jumping up and down with ten different kinds of joy.

Do you remember visiting Lemuria and the old world map that Hydros showed off? The world has changed dramatically since Alchemy's release. Perhaps the world is one big super-continent once more.

Eh, I dunno. From the map we were given earlier, it didn't look like a supercontinent, and the terminology doesn't suggest that it is.

^But it DOES say planet-sized epic journey.

OH MY FRICKIN' GOD

I hope our new mystery character is a werewolf from Garoh!!! Bonus points if it's a girl! 8D (Braided pigtails point to "girl". So much.) Perhaps that could be our...well, I don't know if Jupiter "warrior" would be the right term, but it certainly would be something different from a mage... Fighter?

Hmm...is the other section Antagonists or just NPCs altogether? One of the silhouettes makes me think "older Isaac"...

The silhouette has a feminine shape too...I hope its a werewolf Jupiter adept. Which would make for a great warrior adept, which would be awesome!!

that could be an exaggeration on their part for it to be a planet sized journey, but hey if its gonna be a long game to play, hell yes!

also is there an english link for that info? Nintendo is being a pain when trying to look for the thing in english ><

But Garoh's... Garohans? Garohians? Garohers? People from the town of Garoh only morph to werewolf form at night... then again, there was that older leader... hmm... very interesting.

Yes, if I recall, Maha said that his constant wolflike form was a result of his taking a greater interest in Psynergy, or something to that effect. I can certainly see the same thing happening here.

Also, wasn't that little kid stuck in permanent wolf form because he looked directly at the full moon or something? Another possibility.
