Sama shook his head, "Sib needs us to... take care of him... Doesn't matter if I'm... sick as a dog... His care... comes first..." Once he said that he added, "I'm glad you're here... I couldn't do this without... you... Here..." He wrapped her hands around the reins, "You can Guide him?... I don't think... I'm going to be able to... in a few more... hours."

"I'll get us there..." The gelding moved forward into a steady lope, something he could keep up for long periods of time, and didn't make the riders work too hard to stay on.
Sama leaned shoulders against Mel and seemed to completely relax, though he would wince when Sib had to move strangely to avoid something.

After a long while of walking, they finally reached the beach. Crystal turned back into her undine form and held Siege's hand as they approached the water's edge.

Queen Esmeralda rose up to the surface on a coral throne. She smiled when she saw Crystal and Siege.
"Well... I was not mistaken... It is my daughter and her 'friend'. I assume that you would have delivered the message?" Esmerald asked. Crystal nodded. Esmeralda saw that Crystal was sad and frowned.
"What is wrong my dear? Are you hurt?" Esmeralda asked and took a small glance at Siege before looking back at Crystal.
"No..." Crytal said, looking down.
"Then what is it, my dear?" Esmeralda asked.
"I... I would like to reside with Siege." Crystal told her. Esmeralda thought about it. She then looked at Siege.
"Would you like my daughter's hand in marriage?" She asked Siege, smiling. Crystal was surprised by the question and then looked at Siege.

Siege was caught off gaurd with the question. He froze in his place. He hadnt thought of marrying Crystal but he didnt know what to say.

"Well?" Esmeralda asked again.
"Mom, I only just met him..." Crystal reminded her and then looked at Siege. She didn't think that he would accept on such short notice.
"Let him answer, deary." Esmeralda said and then turned her attention back to Siege again.

For a split second he thought that he could change and run away. He knew he loved Crystal but he didnt know if he should marry her. "Yes" he whispered but loud enough so that Crystal and her mom would hear. He even suprised himself.

Crystal was surprised by Siege's answer. She stared at him in amazement. Esmeralda grinned. She then looked at Crystal.
"Very well then. You may reside with him." Esmeralda said. She then turned to Siege and smiled.
"I do not necessarily mean for you to propose to her now, I only wanted to know if you loved her enough to do so. Seeing that you do, she can reside with you. I am hoping that she is in good hands then. Keep her safe." Esmeralda said as she started descending into the water on her throne.
