He didn't mind that she laughed. Really he didn't. In fact, he actually felt more sure of himself when she took hold of his left hand. Loosening her grip, he instinctively held on tighter, though only for a moment, feeling out of place a moment later, though not apologetic.

"I didn't mean to be so evasive. It's just really hard explaining everything sometimes because technically you weren't supposed to have this talk with me yet. You've got...some years to look forward to me asking you the first time...which I guess would be the second time...I mean..." Dammit he had gotten tongue tied at this point and felt nearly defeated once again with the whole thing. Where was Miyuki right about now? That'd make things a hell of a lot better.

"It's too difficult to ask him myself. Something tells me he could answer if he wanted but he always waits as though he has no idea what I want. Most times, all I end up doing is yelling and he just brushes me off. He's always been that way. Ever since I was a kid."

Satomi watched the boy, feeling his hand tighen around hers as she had suspected it would. As a result, she didn't pull it awayand instead held on. Yet, her face grew puzzled. His words were confusing her, and she flet that she was missing something. Something important that would piece this all together.

"I'm afraid you've lost me. You speak of the future like you've already been there. And you say that you've been around Keno since you were a child. I've never felt your presence on him before, or found your scent..."

She gazed at him curiously.

"And you sound like... like a child seeking-"

Could it be possible? She herself was able to shift time and space, and travel, so the concept wasn't all that odd for her, but it was a rare chance. And Somehow he was related to Keno. From what he said, that much was obvious. But how?

Another quiet, boring day. It has come to a point that Wesley has decided to perfect holding a pen and writing his signature using nought but telekinesis. Given how many forms and documents he ends up signing so frequently, it would be more than convenient. Caine can't enjoy it either. Not to hold it against the boy, but he would prefer to go out and kill whoever would ask him to sign something. Hardly the desk job type. Tali has grown used to it though not particularly fond of it. It keeps him from time with his family, among other things.

These idle thoughts stray through the demon's mind as he enters the club in his usual manner, kinetic forces opening the double doors for him. His ears are folded and hidden beneath his fedora, long red trenchcoat fastened snugly around his short bodily frame. He wears a pair of sleek sunglasses, likely to help shield his sight from the bright orange rays of this planet's setting Sun. Of course, the left lens both serves no purpose and is hidden for the most part, only visible when one of Taliman's strides shifts his scarlet locks to the side. Purple pinstripe pants are hidden beneath his coattails, leading down to polished black shoes taht complete his ensemble.

Long red tail flickering boredly below his hips, the Emperor's arms remain folded behind his back as per his usual stance. As the doors shut behind him, he casts a look about the room, catching sight of two people. One is just a kid. The other - the sight of whom evokes a genuine if not faint smile on the overlord's face - is his wife Satomi. Just seeing her again is like taking in a breath of fresh air. Seeing her in private would undoubtedly be much more agreeable, but the Orinian demon will take what he can for now.

His course sharply changes, short legs carrying him over to Sato and her friend, brim of his hat down to shield his face. Perhaps they're conversing on something of interest.

Well at least she didn't need to be spoon fed like the others. Made things much easier if she had a bit of suspicion already. At least he hoped so because otherwise this could be really awkward in a minute.

"Well...to say I've already been to the future would be the best way to put it," he said slowly, his grip tightening on her hand, and then relaxing over and over again as he took his time with the entire ordeal. It didn't seem like saying it got any easier with time...no pun intended...wait no one could hear him right now why was he being so serious?

With a deep sigh, he cast his gaze on the ground, too bothered to look her in the eyes. "Don't tell my mother, but KenoTao will be my father...later..." He wanted to say more. Much more, but his mind was flooded with memories of his upbringing, things people told him about his father and things he knew about his father from first hand experience. It never really added up.

"I just want to understand why he's so...indifferent about my own existence when everyone else says he cares so much."

His entire body stiffened for no real reason until he looked back up to see his uncle, Taliman, standing there before them. The boy wouldn't often approach the Orinian Lord and most times actually just avoided him. It was nothing personal, just one of those things. He had close connections to his aunts, but not his uncles...they were only related by marriage afterall. He never felt much obligation to them.

His ears stood on end, fur and all, as though he might actually be attacked. Something about Taliman always made him curiously wary.

"Oh."

Satomi uttered the one word in complete surprise, a little too shocked for much more of a reaction. It lingered between them for a moment, before she burst out laughing once again. It was a tension breaking laugh, but there had really been no tension before.

"That explains a lot."

She smiled, pulling her hand away, only to wrap her arms around him as her upper body twisted. Pulling him in sideway into an embrace, she rested her cheek on his head. She wasn't oblivious to Tali (and was rather very aware that he had entered) but he could wait a moment, since she had just found out that this boy was her nephew. Future nephew.

"Can I tell my Husband?" She whispered in his ear, pulling away to push off the bar with an apologetic glance. She patted his hand, sensing his uncomfort with Tali, but there wa slittle she could do. It was that way with him and most people. Heading towards Tali, she curled her arms around his chest, leaning in to hug him.

Pulling away, she grabbed his hand and tugged him towards the yougn man. Gesturing to him, she spoke with a smile.

"Tali, I want you to meet.." And suddenly Satomi flushed a pretty shade of pink, looking embarressed. She looked at Kenta, chuckling. "I just realized we never got around to the introduction part of this.."

"And I suppose..." Satomi trailed off again, looking even more amused then before. Kenta knew them both, though they didn't know him. She had let her voice fade awya though, since she didn't know if she was allowed to tell Tali or not.

Wesley soon finds Sato curling herself against him in a warm hug, his arms unfolding and opening up to accept the gesture. His blue eye lifting to trace the child's face, he says nothing to either him or his wife, hands coming to rest on Satomi's shoulders with a firm squeeze. The Emperor is able to smell the wariness of this new kid, giving him the impression that he is not unknown to the stranger. The only two groups of people that have any business not fearing Taliman - according to Taliman, that is - are his family, of course, and beings of a lower intelligence.

Tugged over by one of his hands, the Tonepian lord raises his right brow with intrigue as Satomi fails to introduce her new friend. Given the hug they shared a moment ago, which isn't a rare sight, Wes might guess that she had covered the first name stage with the kid. Right hand returning to his back, left held by Sato, Tali doesn't bother with an introduction but doesn't keep quiet.

"Good evening."

No reason to state his name to a boy who knows him. Or so Wesley gathers from his initial reaction.

He couldn't help but smile despite himself. His aunt's good humor was too infectious by far to resist for so long. Embracing him only made him feel warmer to her in the end; much the same as he had with Jade. Thank goodness for them if nothing else. As she withdrew and he heard her inquiry, which hardly seemed like a whisper to him, though quieter than she might have asked were her husband not around.

"It's okay Ba-chan," he said very calmly as he popped himself off of his seat approach Taliman, "I'm not quite that afraid of him." His spirit definitely seemed revitalized, but it was about all he had in him to actually look Taliman square in the eye and speak to him, let alone introduce himself. Never had to do that before.

His face suddenly appeared very serious, his body language firm, and even a bit professional as he looked down upon his uncle. He had not paid that much attention to how short the guy really was. Weird. As though to emphasize his awe, his tail twitched in shock.

"It's nice to see you Taliman." He responds to his uncle's greeting in a perfectly calm voice, placing his arms at his sides and bowing formally, only about 45 degrees though as he was sure his uncle wouldn't return a bow as it wasn't likely his nature. "I'm Kenta Kitsune, KenoTao's son. I will be anyway."

Straightening his back, he seemed a bit relieved, as though he was glad he hadn't got kicked in the face or something as he introduced himself. One would think that he'd be more concerned with his next move, which he felt to be a bit rude, but could not be helped.

"If you'll both excuse me, I should be going. I have an early morning tomorrow." Walking slowly, most reluctantly, he made to leave, but turned back to plant an innocent kiss on his aunt's left cheek. "Maybe next time, you can bring Nee-chan with you, ne?" With a cheeky smile, he continued his departure, pausing to open the door and nothing else before he left. As mundane as his entrance, he was gone without much flair. He preferred it that way, although it likely stood out in a place like this.

Satomi watched as he leftm waving her good bye. Her smile was wide, and after Kenta had left, she turned it to Tali. Her eyes shone bright, a good sign that she was pleased. If one could see her Aura, it glowed a bright pink of pure pleasure. Meeting her nephew for the first time, and seeing Tali after a fairly long period of time was making her day quite wonderful.

"I like him. My nephew grew up well."

She didn't think to explain it. Either Tali would figure it out, or not care. If he did, he would ask. Satomi now knew he was from the future. How, she didn't know, but she knew that he was.

It was a moment later that she realized she had no idea who his mother was. Shrugging to herself, she turned her full attention to Tali, leaning forward to plant a light kiss on his lips.

"Done with the paper work? Or just gave up, blew it all up before running off?"

Kenta. Son of KenoTao. The eyebrow quickly drops into that of mild confusion and curiosity. From the future, one might guess. Given the size of this child, it would make more sense for him to be from the future. Unless Keno was making brats as a brat himself. The overlord may guess from Kenta's scent that his mother is the petite fox girl Ichigo. What an odd couple.

Both Satomi and Taliman's late mother possessed dimension-crossing powers, including those to cross time. Even his own planet has developed technology to suit such a purpose, though use of it is strictly limited to a select few. Wesley himself has never dabbled much into time travel, given the adverse effects it may have, though he has taken the time to glimpse and to some extent study the ill-conceived future.

Torn from his developing thoughts with a kiss, Wesley blinks a few times before smiling to Satomi.

"No, all done."

Even as she pulls away, his left hand lifts to curl about the back of her neck. He leans in, tilting his head to one side to plant his lips ever softly to Satomi's temple. He concludes his thoughts and draws back his arm as he pulls away, staying otherwise close to his wife with an inward step.

"Though it'll all be back tomorrow."

<~>I'd join you Chrissy, but I don't think our characters get along...that and my spark is still barely burning.

Syn: Was that Orion High School thing actually going somewhere or did everyone have one hell of a mindless brainstorming session? I'd like to help you and Ichi if that's at all possible.<~>
