Satomi sat at the bar if Orion, up on the bartop instead of one of the stools. She rarely used a stool. She always seemed to prefer having her feet hanging down over the side, swinging back and forth lighly. Her feet were bare, the black flats that she ahd been wearing were on the ground, one turned over since she had just let them slip from her foot.

Her outfit consisted of a pleited skirt that was a black shade. Her shirt was black and long sleeved, a simply fabric that was snug on her body. Over the u-neck shirt was a vest the was also black, but had thin white pinstrips going through it, the only break to the whole black outfit.

Reaching under her shirt as she sat there casually, the girl pulled forth the red pendent that hung on a thin silver chain around her next. It caught the false light, glimmering brightly. It began to shine more brightly then the lights could make it, and while Satomi expected it to fade after a moment it didn't.

Something was causing it to react.

Not that it was something stable, and only reacted to certain things. The stone was unsable, and no one knew how it worked. When you thought you began to figure it out, it changed on you again. It was almost as if it were a living thing itself, yet somehow not.

Holding it up with one hand, the young woman tapped it with her other, causing it to swing back and forth. Watching it, she let her mind drift to how she missed Tali, since they hadn't seen much of each other lately.

Which was part of the reason she had started to come hwere again, the other being she missed people. Especially a few.

She was inside. He could tell she was inside. He could tell she was inside because he knew her. He knew her because he had met her before. He had met her before because she was his father's sister. Not biological of course, but who said family was all blood?

Walking in manually, the young boy today what pretty much looked like battle garb. Black, baggy looking gi pants bunched up at the ankle, where a white sock peeked out and slipped into a flat, flexible shoe. Held fast at the waist, the pants were matched up with a plain silver colored T-shirt that sparkled as light bounced off its surface. On top of this shirt was a black button-less vest constructed in the same coarse design of the pants. There was no logo anywhere on his body so whether it was indicative of a school or not was debatable.

His silvery tail wagging as he caught his aunt sitting on the table, the boy looked much more relaxed today when approached her, strands of his ebony hair falling into their natural place - for he had ran his fingers through his hair moments ago.

"Hello," he called out cheerfully, either greeting her or aiming go get her attention. "Could I talk to you for a moment?"

Satomi watched the young man enter the place, eyes flickering over his form. His energy was still familar, but she had no way of pinpointing it. It nagged at her, like a fly buzzing around that you couldn't quite get a glimps of. He approched her, his aura raidiating nervousness, but much less then the last time she had seen him.

When he asked if he could speak to her, she laughed. Not mockingly or in an insulting manner, but an amused one. It was a soft, quiet laugh that made the people hear it want to laugh also. She looked bemused as her lips twisted into a smile.

"I don't know why you ask. I am not preoccupied in the least."

Patting the bench to her side with her right hand - having dropped the pendent when the boy entered - she gestured for him to take a seat.

"Or on the stool, if you prefer."

<< I suppose Sato knows nothing that's going on, adn everything? She'll be in complete and total shock, correct? >>

Again he was delighted that she was so inviting. Much like he remembered her, but probably more so since she would actually know who he was in a few years. Very rarely, if ever, did she ever seem less than pleased when he was around.

Tail still wagging and ears perking up, the young boy hopped up on his aunt's right to take his seat, being respectful of her personal space and giving her a good eighteen inches between them. As much as she loved her, she didn't even know him.

"Well," he said, his self consciousness returning, but only enough to indicate that he was prepared to get into a sensitive topic, whether for him or for her. "I was wondering if you knew KenoTao. If you do, I wanted to ask you some things about him." He was of course being a bit vague because he didn't want to just spill the beans like he had the last time, although Jade Ba-chan was more than friendly and delighted with the news.

"It's nothing serious though so...it's not a big deal."

<< She can't sense Ichi or Keno in him, since they have their own unique energy/aura. She cna however, sence the connection and similarity in it. So that's why she finds it familar, but doesn't know why. >>

Satomi watched him silently as he moved to sit next to her, looking amused at the personal space he gave her, waiting for him to start with what he wanted to talk to her about. He began, aura flaring up with a bit more nervousness but not overly. Just enough for her to notice, but it settled as he began, the worst part over.

"It is at least somewhat important, for you to come forward and ask."

Satomi was insightful. It was helped by her ability to read, but even without it she would be able to pick up on most of this anyways. She was a friendly, people person and spent a lot of timing learning to read people - something that had been valuable in her old life, and was still now.

"But yes, of course I know Keno. He is dear to me. My Nii-chan." Satomi smiled, brushing a few stray strands of mindight hair out of her face. "Not by blood, but by affection for each other."

"Why do you ask?"

<< So she won't really know, unless he tells her. >>

<~>Thought as much.<~>

So it was official then. Her relationship to his father was already established. That would hopefully make things much easier for him. If not then...well then what? Nothing more to do but press forward for the time being.

"Well I ask because I've met him before and...we never seem to get along very well. He's not very receptive it seems and it's honestly very infuriating." He was babbling, or on the verge of it. He paused realizing this and reconsidered this approach, feeling himself obviously getting more heated just thinking about it.

"Anyway, my impression of him is not a good one, but my mother seems to think I have the wrong idea about him. She thinks that if I stay around here long enough, I'll have a change of heart." That was one way of putting it. Probably the best delivered speech about his purpose that he gave. Satisfied, he turned to her and smiled, looking about as young as he really was. "So maybe you can help with that."

"Keno..."

Satomi began, fingers curling around each other loosely in her lap. Her head titled back, eyes as bright as emerald stones gazed up at the ceiling. Trailing off for a moment, the young woman gathered her thoughts on how to answer the question.

"I'm not surprised by the lack of connection, really." Satomi remained gazing up at the ceiling. "He's... detached sometimes. I don't think he can help it, I think it's just the way his life had led him. I don't really know, however. I tend to let the subject stay out of conversations."

Tilting her chin down slightly, and to her right, she gazed at the boy of of the corner of her eyes. She smiled softly, in an almsot motherly way. She didn't notice it, but it was subconscious. Not jsut from being a mother now, but there was some kinship between them. An automatic one that she couldn't explain.

"But he really does care. He's done a lot for me, and for the people here. I guess he just has trouble showing that sometimes."

Reaching over, she ruffled his hair. She attitude grew a little more serious, and her face grew more curious.

"Why is a change of heart so important to this mother of yours? Why does it matter to you?"

<< Do you want Kenta to tell her, or should I bring in and have her say something like "You feel like Uncle." And be the cute little powerful thing she is. >>

He sat very quietly, letting her finish everything she said before he decided to respond to any of it. His eyes looked a bit hazy until he realized she was done talking. At that point, his tail twitched and his soft grey eyes fell back on her as though she had only just returned.

"If he's as detached as you say he is, how can you be sure that he does anything because he cares? What if there's something else behind it all? I mean...uhm...well why is it so hard for him to show emotion? A few minutes, even a few seconds to just say how you feel about someone doesn't seem too arduous a task to request of anyone. Would you not be upset if your husband never told you he cared?" He probably could have used a better example. He didn't know much about his uncle, but he seemed far more detached than Keno, although in a much different manner. Kenta always assumed a galactic Emperor couldn't afford the same liberties as his father.

He kept silent in thought, mulling over a good answer to the question as to why he actually cared or not. He couldn't think of a good excuse for why he had shown up in the first place. Something just sort of pulled him here and he hadn't thought about it more than that.

"Well...maybe...I don't know if I really care that much at the moment or not. To be completely honest, my mother seemed more concerned about it than I initially did. She suggested all of this..."
