Tala flinched as they were bumped together, he tensed a little more, then glanced away... "I'll manage." Pulling his cloak around him and leaving a fabric barrier between physical contact he gave the fire a prod before drawing his knees up to his chest and leaning back against Meta. "I'll keep first watch if you want to rest." he said after a moment of silence. He lifted up the hood of his cloak to keep some of the heat from escaping from his head before getting himself as comfortable as he could with someone else's body beside him.

Rosa blushed more nodding and leaned back against Meta, starting to doze off but tried to stay awake but ended up falling asleep anyways, drifting off with the cloak around her. Metal snorted watching and shook his head, swinging his mane over to cover her some more for warmth and moved his tail to cover Tala some more to help him be warm as well.
Rosa looked exhausted, the firing of blasts took a lot out of her and it showed. Slowly though she slipped over and leaned now against Meta and against Tala, resting soundly, not aware of a thing she was so tired. Meta smiled it looked like, watching this, finding it cute as the fire crackled.
At the castle a cell door opened and the servant grunted, slowly getting up after hitting the floor hard and seeing the door slam shut and being locked before the guards walked off. The servant stared and sighed, moving slowly over and sat down against a wall, pulling his legs close to his chest and hid his face into his legs. They had seen his true form. They knew he wasn't human. He now wondered why they wouldn't kill him right away.
Slowly looking up he looked around in the dimly lit cell before re-hiding his face. "This is a disaster....well at least Tala got away with Rosa." He said softly sighing, feeling he wasn't alone but it was hard to make out things in the dim lighting of the cell block he'd been taken to and tossed into.

"...The Prince is safe?"Opening his eyes the old warrior lifted his head, he hadn't moved when the guards had entered for fear they had come back for him... Wincing, he gave a groan as he shifted his position, the shackles on his wrists and ankles creating a metallic hiss as he moved ever so slightly to ease the ache in his legs. "Rosa is a good girl...As long as they're safe...I have nothing to concern myself about." he gave a wheezing cough, trying with some trouble to draw one of his knees up to rest his arms on. He sat in silence for a short while, waiting for the male to speak again, unsure as to whether or not he'd recognised his voice from somewhere before... The lighting was dim so as he turned his head, he saw nothing more than a shape seated in the corner... "Whoever you are, if you helped them escape, then I am at your service...not that I'm of much use to anyone any more..."

The servant jumped looking towards the voice and his eyes widened in shock as he moved carefully his own shackles rattling as he moved carefully closer to the voice. "Jack? Jack is that you?" He asked shocked and moved closer, following the sound of the groan and sound of the other shackles.
He neared closer and slowly his body shifted to his true form letting his yellow and red eyes glow, allowing him to see easier in the dim lighting. Moving closer then stopping he reached out and touched Jack's face his eyes widening.
"It is you....you're alive! But....you look horrible. What happened? Why did you not appear by the Prince's side anymore? Why did Sir Arthur take your place at the side of the Prince?" He asked concerned.
"She seemed good and nice. She kept firing light balls at the carriage but I managed to help him free himself and then as he made a break for it with the Princess I distracted the guards to keep them away with the carriage, that was till it hit a tree and something hit me. I lost my breath and when they caught me....they saw I was not human..." He said sadly, looking down, cringing at his remembering their reaction to seeing his true form at their mocking and disgust for him before kicking him some as they took him back to the castle and into this cell.
"The Prince was looking for you. I too was looking for you. How did you end up here?" He asked worried for what was to become of the King and Queen.

"...Ah...that voice, I recognise you now." The old warrior smiled, not having much energy to move, he recalled the male from his past, then breathed a sigh, "Did you make it to where you wanted to be lad?" he was aware of the male's true form but had always been one to treat everyone he met as he expected to be treated himself - regardless of their creed or kind. "Arthur is certainly no man deserving of the title 'Sir'..." he would have narrowed his eyes but once again had very little energy to do even that... "He is an agent of the Dark Lord himself...at least that is what I believe...He used the fact I was unable to protect the Prince from that bandit to have me demoted from my position and thrown in the cells..." At this he shifted slightly, angry that the man had been able to coerce the King into doing this, "...I can only assume the King believes I've left the city...Trogan would be furious if he found out I was down here...in my state..."It was clear his voice was becoming affected from all the talking as it started to crack, the old warrior fell silent for a moment before opening his mouth to speak again, "They mustn't come back...Arthur is more than just a man...he's..." the man breathed a sigh, hoping the pair would be able to evade the guards and get someplace safe...

He nodded sighing, moving closer and removed his jacket, putting it around Jack to try and help in case he was cold. "Yes, it's me. You have to get out of here. You'll end up dead if you don't. It's my turn to repay you the favor of kindness. You aided me and no. I almost had but things did not work out so well. I caught word on the wind someone had attacked where my family was, rumor is a woman and two children were slaughtered...."
His voice trailed off and he shook his head. "I have to get you out of here. I won't let you die down here. We have to show the King who Arthur is or...I don't want to think about it. I fear what he will do the King and Queen." he said worried and looked at Jack again.
"....Brim is I...it's not used for me to say my own real name." He said softly and moved closer to Jack to try and help him with warmth in case he was cold. "And if you have the strength what is Arthur? Is he not corrupt human?" Brim asked looking around, trying to get an idea of how to get Jack out.
Looking around he took hold of one of the shackles chains on Jack's ankles and gripped the chains, snapping one then moved to do the same to the other as he tried to form an escape plan. "Tala might return. He may return to look for you or to try and speak to the King and Queen. Arthur just tried to send Tala off to the Dark Lord." Brim said softly snapping the second chain then began to work on snapping the chain to the shackles on Jack's wrist.

"Harming the Royals would be against his better judgement..." Jack felt sad to hear the male's news about his home but knew there was little he could have done to help... "...Arthur is certainly corrupt." he was furious to hear the man had tried to send Tala straight into the hands of the Dark Lord and this seemed to spur him to try and rise to his feet. He gave a pained grunt, pushing himself up whilst using the wall to aid his balance, the chains felt heavy against his weakened form but after hearing Tala might just try to return he couldn't just sit around and wait for the inevitable... "I might not be able to move as fast as you, but I can still fight if needs be..." he felt a great relief of pressure as the chains fell by his sides, "Give me a moment, I am a little stiff."He had avoided eating the slop they threw to him each day, knowing it was no better than the swill they fed the pigs and this was why he was exhausted, but it was better to be hungry and healthy than sickened by whatever they might have slipped into the bucket. "We are still within the castle, I'm sure of that, if I can get that gate open, we should be able to locate a passageway into the walls - from there, we can travel unnoticed to the throne room..." With purpose once again, Jack seemed to be slowly recovering - no matter how tired and battered he was, he knew now he had a reason to fight. "...I just hope that Arthur hasn't gone too far..."

Brim nodded, moving, trying to break his own shackles, getting the middle to snap and moved after Jack, ready to steady him if need be. He nodded, looking around and slowly felt about the wall some before eying outside the cell. "Do you think a key is out there?" He asked softly.
"I could get out and unlock the door if you wish or I can try and break the steel but it's not easy to break steel." He said quietly in his rough voice watching Jack before looking back out, hoping no one was coming or going to come.
"I will help aid you to freedom as you aided me I shall repay your kindness. The King and Queen will listen better to you than I, a lowly servant to them or if the guards or Arthur has told them...then I am naught but a monster to them." He said a bit saddened that people, other than Jack, looked down on his kind.
He was glad Tala did not look down on what he was and was glad there was two humans he could trust. If a key was spied or there Brim would focus to get himself through the bars to get the key but if no key was there he would try to enter is hand into the lock and try to spring the lock that way, a method he had not done before.
If successful there would be a click and he would remove his hand, if that method had to be done to unlock the cell door.

"Your eyes are much better than mine in this light lad..." Jack chuckled, trying to stretch his stiff muscles, "Let's give this gate a go shall we?"Now free of his bindings, Jack crossed to the room to the gate, pulling it open before pausing for a breather "Do you still carry those seeds...?" He recalled many years ago that a special collection of seeds could be eaten one at a time in order to replenish strength a taker's for a short while. He was hopeful, but didn't expect the male to still be carrying such things after such a long time...

Brim looked to Jack and nodded. "Of course! I never left without a good stash to last a good time. Plus I had a small garden to grow them planted in my room under my bed so it was dark enough for them. Lucky they don't grow too tall." He said pulling out a bag.
Opening the tied bag he got out a few and handed them to Jack. "Here you go, and if you need more I have plenty." He explained nodding and gave a soft smile as he got the lock picked with his hand and helped push the door open.
"I will follow you from here out. You know these better than I on how we can get into the passage ways. I just hope the King and or Queen will be in the throne room. When Tala went to throne room Arthur was there waiting on him and had him chained up good as though he were a deadly prisoner out for blood." He explained.
"But he's free now....or was when he rode off with Princess Rosa over the river. I am sure they are safe." He said trying to be hopeful.

"Let's just hope they're smart enough to stay away..." Jack popped one of the seeds into his mouth, then pushed the rest into a pouch on his belt - he might need these later. "Let's go find the King."Feeling his energy returning to him, Jack led the way down the corridor. Nothing was going to stop the old warrior from reaching the Royals and he proved that within the first few minutes of freedom when the pair found themselves faced with two guards returning on their rounds... The pair had been part of the group that had dragged the old warrior down into the dungeon the first time and Jack felt it only right to return the favour, smashing his fist into the gut of the first before relieving him of his sword and beating the second guard over the head with the hilt. Sheathing the sword in his own belt, Jack dusted off his hands before waving back for Brim to follow.

Brim watched, glad Jack was feeling better thanks to his seeds. Seeing the wave Brim moved forwards, following Jack closely, looking around. "Hope we can find the Royals or at least the King before anything happens. I don't want the King or Queen to suffer or suffer a worse fate due to Arthur and the Dark Lord."
Brim said softly shivering at he thought of what the Dark Lord would do to the pair. He was fearful that Arthur might had already gotten to them ad might of killed them.
Shaking his head he tried to push these thoughts away from his mind so to keep a positive outlook that they would get to the pair in time before Arthur could cause more damage and harm.

The Royal quarters would be the best place to start, but after finding their way into the walls and reaching the bedroom of their King, the pair would swiftly realise neither Royal was present... Grumbling to himself, Jack turned back, racking his brains as to where the pair could be before leading the way once again. They would try several other locations but each and every time came up empty... Eventually, Jack would direct them to the throne room, knowing they would have to break cover in order to advance... "This isn't looking good lad..." the old warrior frowned. With the throne room being the last place they could look, he became concerned and drew his sword. He had noted by now that the guards seemed to have disappeared from their posts - that meant one of two things... There was either a festival on and the men were needed elsewhere...or it was a trap. "You don't have to come in with me lad..." he turned round to face Brim, "The worst he can do is kill me - and I'd rather it were me than you as you still have all your life ahead of you...Just ensure me you will seek out the Prince and protect him as I have done...""A remarkable speech old boy..." the doors would open and Arthur would rise from his sprawled position on the throne, clapping his hands, "But neither of you have the option to leave now; having escaped from the dungeon, you have proven yourselves a grave danger to the Royal family and must be eliminated." he smirked, waving his guards forward...

Brim had nodded to Jack softly, determination in his eyes. "I promise to keep the Prince safe." he said softly but in hearing Arthur's voice as the doors opened his heart sank.
Hearing him say those words Brim frowned, gripping his dark fist. "What did you do with the King and Queen you monster?!" He asked firmly, moving forwards and his eyes narrowed on Arthur.
"Remove yourself from the Royal's throne! You are no royal!" Brim snapped, sending dark pieces across the floor after the guards shadows, aiming to attach to the guards shadows to control them or to slow them down at the least.
He also sent one after Arthur's shadow, aiming to force him off the throne and try to see if he could see any images from the shadow on where the King and Queen were, his red and yellow eyes narrowed as he had made his attack, furry in him with his fear for the Royal pairs safety who had allowed him shelter and work, even if they didn't know he was not human it was still kind of them to allow him work and to stay in the castle.
"If you harmed them....I swear I will make you pay if you did!" Brim snapped his voice shaking. He was looking for some way to get Jack out. He, Brim, did not have anyone left to return to but knew Tala had been looking for Jack and he wanted Tala to know Jack lived.
Moving back Brim kept his attacks focused on the enemy as he moved towards Jack some. "Find a way out. Tala was very worried for you. He was afraid, I could tell in the torture chamber he was terrified you were dead. Go, you go find him. I have nothing to return to. When the Royals learn I am not human I will be kicked out I'm sure so you go. Find Tala and warn him yourself. He will not listen to me, I am sure."
Brim said in a low strict voice, his eyes set on Jack, wanting him to get to safety. Pulling his sack off he gave Jack all his seeds. "Just go. This is my repayment for your kindness." Brim said firmly and winced giving a yell as his own shadow suddenly exploded, casting the room dark, a pull from his shadow was trying to give Jack aid to leave.
The creatures mind was set and made up. He would not allow Jack to die. He did not want a kind human as Jack to parish a painful death or a swift death. He wanted him safe and to return to Tala to warn him and the Princess to stay away from the castle. He wasn't going to back down or let Jack fight the guards or Arthur, going to be mule headed on the subject.

Brim's attack towards the guards proved too great and the men found themselves unable to move of their own accord...Arthur on the other hand just smirked, the darkness failing to take its hold and instead becoming absorbed into a charm bracelet on his wrist. "Repayment doesn't mean dying." Jack frowned when Brim tossed him his sack of seeds and prepared to stand and fight. "If you're that insistent on staying, then I will fight by your side until the bitter end. I'm sure the Prince will find some way to take down this tyrant if we fail.""All this hassle..." the smirk never left the advisor's face, "You're just extending the inevitable..." this time he would stand, strolling confidently towards the pair, "If you're so worried about the Royals, take a look." As the room was plunged into darkness by Brim's attack, Arthur would create an orb, showing the King and Queen sitting outside in the bright sunshine, they were having a picnic and were laughing, joking, smiling... Almost as though they had forgotten their duties and everything that came with their roles as Royals... "The Prince on the other hand is still in my Master's interests...and you will not stop him from getting what he wants - whether you destroy me, or are destroyed by me." He swung the wrist wearing the bracelet round, sending back Brim's attack towards the pair, "As the Dark Lord is my witness, you shall become his slaves or die by my hand!"
