Miko~

She waited patiently and silently for Rhaplanca to recover. Then Ishira pointed out the entrance. "Oh, thank the Goddess!" Miko sighed in relief, but then realized what they would have to do to get to the entrance to the tower and blanched. "O-oh..." Don't look down, don't look down... Miko tried instead to pay attention to Noaah and Rhaplanca. "H-how are you both holding up?" She smiled to look brave. Miko didn't want them to know she was terrified, even if she was. Taking one step at a time, when Miko finally reached the other side she could have kissed the ground. In stead, she said a quiet prayer of gratitude.

Mana~

After paying the tab in the tavern the half-ling stepped out. "Well, it's all downhill from here, literally." She sighed. "I'm gunna be so pooped after this. Well, I'll worry about that later." She then started her run once again down the slope. She slid down some of the sides when it was safe to do so, and rode with a couple of travelling wagons when she could. For the most part, however, Mana was on foot. "Damn, I'm going to be sore to boot." She grumbled. She passed another rocky cliff and jumped down, grunting from the exertion. She hadn't quite made a hasty trip down the tower like this one before, and she didn't care to ever again. Mana knew that once this was all over, she would definitely be out of commission for a few days, if not weeks. She stopped and took out a Droopy Potion, downing it. She carried quite a few of those on her as energy drinks. Mana usually didn't need to use them, but this time she was glad that she had packed so many. She certainly was going to use them. She sighed and sat down on a rock on the side of the trail. "Damn it... I'm getting wiped out too fast." She took off her red bandana and wiped the perspiration off her forehead with it. After doing that, she tied it around her head once again and stood shakily. She didn't have too much farther to go, as she was nearing the final stretch to the base of the tower. However, Mana's fatigue was wearing on her. She stubbornly pushed it aside and continued, however. "Just to Seraca, then I'll rest. Just there, hang in there, Mana. From there, I'll start asking around and gathering info. They've either taken her there or they've taken her to their headquarters. Either city, since they seem to like experimenting with that floating Weapon in Seraca. If I'm wrong, then I'll head to Daila afterwards."

Ishira

Ishira tried to help Rhaplanca this time around as before but he figured the embarrassment in front of the others made her to proud to accept his help. He breathed easier when she reached the bottom and held his arms out behind her when she wobbled in case she fell, "Take it easy," he chastised in a caring tone when she steadied herself, "True it's not much farther but don't push yourself beyond a comfortable pace," he said as they pressed on. The terrain got even more dangerous, now that the land attached to the tower was slightly slanted away from the tower, making it easier to slip off the edge, "Keep close to the tower," he stated the obvious.

"Mr. President?" Naomi knocked on the door to the President of C.P.G. Corp's room.
"Enter, Naomi." Came a flat voice. "What is it you want?"
The woman cleared her throat. "Well, I just wanted to let you know that the system is ready."
"Will she sing?" The president turned to stare coldly at the woman in front of him.
"She resisted at first, but the effects of the virus have started running their courses. It also took a little persuasion from me as well, but I can now assure you that she is ready to activate the system anytime. This time we will fully succeed. The last time we failed not only because of the errors still in the system, but also because of her hesitation. This time I have taken the liberty of removing both. It will go smoothly. However, we may have some uninvited guests." Naomi's expression darkened.
"Of course, there are always those that would not accept salvation. Attend to it as you see fit. I am only interested in the results of the Weapon, finding the Goddess, and the Chronicle of Orgel. The rest is all trivial to me."
"Sir. Then I take it that you would like us to begin the activation of CALAMITY?"
The man couldn't help but grin. "Of course. We have, after all, been waiting a long time for this, have we not?"
"Very well."

Miko~

"I'm just happy that I made it over to here in one piece," she said. "You didn't say anything about it getting worse before. I felt safer going down as normal," Miko whined slightly. She couldn't help it. First, she'd never left the Steppe. Second, she'd never been very atheletic and tended to be very clumsy-- the opposite of her twin. Miko was not adventurous in the slightest, and so this was entirely up the wrong alley for her. She swallowed and closed her eyes, frozen like a deer in headlights, with a death grip on the side of the tower.

Rhaplanca Nothing new. Rhaplanca had been clinging to the tower the entire time. A sort of wavelength had started to establish between herself and the tower. She could sense the power flow at a decent strength. It was a good way to take her mind of the staggering heights Rhemi has to still be singing, there is no way that the tower would maintain this stability if her song had ceased. The only thing I'm worried about is why did her song drop in power earlier but not now? Either way the knowledge that Rhemi was alive soothed Rhaplanca. The terrain's green started to fade to dried up, cracked earth. Finally, they had reached the sealed door than loomed over them.
"It's sealed with hymmnos," she informed, "No biggie, I am accustomed to this dialect," she sauntered over to the metal door that had a form of hymmnos engraved into it, "This is the dialect of Pallieu, it's more complex than the standard hymmnos known to the Reyvateils of the lower," she explained, "I doubt that any Reyvateil of the lower world could read this dialect," she touched the cool metal and felt the indent of the hymmnos while reading out loud, "[Connect to Nelia, and grant me access the tower. With my authorization code connect to me and open]," her fingers fell from the last letter of hymmnos, "[Authorization code: Rhaplanca Fawei Ansul]," with her authorization code the door parted in the middle and a slightly cool and eerie breeze escaped from within the tower.
"Ok we need to hurry," she smiled from peace of mind for not having to experience heights and the fact that she was so familiar with the inside of the tower. Even without the maps she downloaded, the interior of the tower was safe to her, a home almost. She quickly led the group to five elevators, "This is level L," she confirmed by pointing to the elevators labled from L1 to L5, "Seraca exits are located on level H. We need to take a series of elevators chronologically down to the letter H," she paused and thought for a second, reviewing the information in her mind, "L3, K2, J5, I1," she explained and pushed the button to L3. The door opened, "Lets go," she said confidently.

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ The Reyvateil looked up blankly when the door to her cell was opened. She regarded Naomi but said nothing. When the guard standing next to the assistant took her by the arm, she stumbled behind him numbly, following the woman and the guard outside once again. The woman muttered something to her about singing, but Hikari couldn't clearly comprehend. What am I doing here...? To sing... We want... to be free... Her eyes glazed over. Wait! I'm... afraid... I don't want...Don't be afraid... Sing... Resonate..."We will... Sing..." The girl spoke, once again under a trance. No, no, no! Stop it! Hikari closed her eyes and took a deep breath...
Tune (RESON_CALAMITY/.) "[God’s power flows into my body I will become the poison that is the world‘s end!] [Was yant ga jouee tilanta giue mea Was quel gaya chsee kuhle firanzia!]
Given the power to pass judgment over all the world, I have become nothing more than a grim reaper
The sin and plague set to poison the world! The hatred that flows From my unwilling breast I try to hide but I find I can’t stop it
[Greatly despairing] [Was quel gaya!] Against my wishes… [I’ve become your executioner] [Chsee morto yor!] Nothing can stop it. There is no turning back, this is the end of the world!
Please, someone save the world! Stop the end I’ve brought to us. Someone save me from the sins I’ve committed. Take this burden from me I’m not a God, it’s not for me to decide, the fate of this world…
[People are prisoners of their sins; People can’t escape the fate that follows. The girl who sings is a prisoner for eternity People cannot stop the end of the world…] [Was quel ga walasye wis kuple dhezeall; Was yant ga walasye na naja futare kvyeire. Was quel wa wim hymme chsee dhezeall eterne Was yant wa walasye na tarfe fianzia…]"
The dreaded song had begun, and Hikari found herself helpless to stop it. No matter how hard she tried, it was like someone had forced themselves all the way inside of her, and the lyrics flowed from her. Her feelings still reflected from the song, but she couldn't stop it, to her horror. My Song is a Shining Light
Together We Shall All Unify in Radiance

Miko~

She was never so happy to get onto what she felt was solid ground once again. The relief showed plain on her face, and she followed Rhaplanca silently. "Well, I just don't want to get lost in here. I've never been in here so, lead the way, Rhaplanca." Miko said.

Rhaplanca As they all crowded into the elevator the lights inside the tower dimmed and resumed full light several times, like a power surge.
"Oh no!" her first concern was Rhemi, what was the cause of the these power drains? She smacked in the descend button on the elevator panel.
The confident and business Rhaplanca returned, "We'll have to hurry down these elevator, it seems whatever is causing Rhemi's power to drain is directly connected with what the C.P.G. is forcing Hikari to do," she awaited for the elevator to kick on before it's decent.
Rhemi... hang in there. Rhaplanca was deep in thought. She needed a way to locate Hikari fast and stop her death hymme, "Binary Field," she whispered out of nowhere when she found no other option, but how was she going to access it? Rhaplanca had never experienced the Binary Field before, and she had no clue how to go about entering it. She turned to Noaah with hopes that he might have some knowledge on it, "Noaah, do you know anything about the Binary Field?" It had dawned on her then that maybe a longer time spent in the Frozen Eye could pass as a way to access the Binary Field. But that was in the opposite direction. She debated separating from the group on her own and uses the elevators to return to the Frozen Eye if need be.

Gannon...
Gannon stepped out of the Inn and changed forms once again. He knew he needed to get moving. “It’s time…” With that, he took to the air, not caring who saw him. It wasn’t like he’d be back this way anyways. The Teru gained some altitude and then angled himself for the edge of the tower. Soon, he was out over open sky. Far below, he could see the Sea of Death far below. It was about to get much closer. Gannon folded in his wings and let himself fall. With each passing second, his speed increased. All he could hear was the rush of the air as he fell. Soon, he’d be at the right level. All he’d have to do is angle in toward the tower and he’d be there. With his head pointed straight down, he slowly fanned his wings, making sure he didn’t angle his wings yet. If his wings tore at this height, he’d have no chance. Once his wings were fully extended, he angled them very slightly, and just like that, he was out of freefall and gliding in toward Seraca, losing very little momentum.

Mana~

"What the-?!" Mana shouted when she saw something falling. She nearly slipped from the ledge she was climbing down. And then she realized what it was and shouted out, "Gannon!? Damn it, Jerk! Just fly off, stupid cheater!" The half-ling shook her head and sighed. "I'd better just concentrate on myself," she muttered. "I'm getting too tired not to pay attention now." Suddenly a light shone from the city of Seraca, and as if answering the light, the tower she clung to trembled slightly. "What the hell?" Mana shrieked. "Don't tell me the hymn started! They don't waste any damn time, do they?"

Gannon...
As Gannon glided toward his destination, he spotted a small figure climbing down the tower. From the clothes the person was wearing and the silvery hair, there was only one person it could have been. "Mana..." From the look of it, she was doing her best to move down the tower without falling. She must be getting pretty tired... Going against his best judgement, he angled his descent to cut across her path. Luckily for him, he was going down. There'd be no way he could carry her up the tower, but gliding down shouldn't be a problem. Within moments, he was able to put himself down next to her. "Hang on." With that, he took hold of the halfblood and kicked off the wall. They fell for a short while before he fanned his wings, slowing them and putting them back on course. "Looks like it already started. And you got yerself all worn out already..."

Ishira

Ishira leaned against the wall of the elevator and held his chin in thought. Rhaplanca had mumbled something about a Binary Field but he had no clue what that meant. Instead he wondered what could be down in Seraca for the C.P.G.? Word of the C.P.G. travels far, even if it was little information, and it was to his understanding that the headquaters was in Daila. The power shortages were continuing at a frightening frequency, "Perhaps the elevators weren't a safer method of travel," he frowned as he looked up at the ceiling of the elevator to watch the lights dim and brighten.

Miko~

"I don't care, I still feel safer in here." At least if we were to fall we wouldn't have to see what we're falling into... Miko still didn't like to think about it, however. "How much farther?" She asked nervously, the dimming lights and the slight trembling from the power failure starting to frighten her. Whatever was happening, it was obvious that it needed to be stopped. Was the person doing this crazy? If the entire Tower fell, no one would be left alive, not even the mastermind behind it all. What was to really gain by this attack on Ar Tonelico?
