"Only a thousand? I'm called the ancient of the dark for a reason you know, Eighteen thousand nine-hundred and forty nine years I walked along this world, so don't even tell me about countless battles." The king rushed at the reaper, doing a series of flips he unleashed the steel whip across the reapers waist. He smiled, "Steel whip success." Colm pulled the steel whip with his vamparic strength and smirked at the result.

Flashing steel drew Zig's attention down from the skies. That's one nice whip I wonder how heavy it is? A metal whip couldn't be the lightest weapon or the easiest to use. The king must be pretty strong. Zig watched the king as he caught the reaper around the waist. This fight was interesting, very interesting especially with such old and experienced combatants.

The crack of the King's whip was deafening. Tala stared in fixation at him; the King was so old but he looked no older than herself. How interesting.
It was no doubt that he was a child of darkness; light preserves youth and beauty, but it doesn't prolong it as severely. Eventually, you will age.
Tala watched as the reaper was hit with the King's whip. With a hit like that, I will be amazed that he can stand let alone be alive.

Kiro was amazed with the strength of both of the cabatants. They took so much, and dealt even more. Plus, their ages were incredible. He couldn't wait to see older tactics start to be used.

"Haha! What an impresive age! I would expect nothing less from a Vampire! Oh, what is this?" Delrath looked down as the steel whip was around his waist. He grinned. "I guess it is time to unleash my last technique... only known by Master Dark Assassins as myself before the Dark Realm was terminated..." As he finished, the ground under him began to form a black pool. Then he quickly lowered himself into the Pool of Darkness, and it disappeared, leaving the the whip curled on the ground. A split second later, a pool formed on the other side of their fighting area, and Delrath rose out of it.
((Note: I hope that is not considered teleporting.))

Zig's eyes widened considerably as the reaper sunk into the ground and reappeared on the other side of the courtyard. That's rather impressive. The air elementalist was surprised such a technique existed although since she knew next to nothing about the dark kingdom that wasn't exactly unpredictable.

Kel stopped leaning on the wall and shrugged. "Shadow step is faster, less gaudy, and less taxing. For such old powerful guys, they play around too much." He looked up again as he heard the whirl of the sword he tossed up into the air had come free falling back down trailed by lightning. It stuck into the ground in the crater still drawing discharges toward itself. "Didn't anticipate that withstanding the temperature of one strike let alone so many. If it holds up then the lightning shouldn't be a threat anymore." He leaned his back against the gate opening and inspected his bandaged hand again.

Tala's eyes widened in shock as the reaper disappeared into a Pool of Darkness. She had never before seen such a frightening spell performed and instantly knew that it was ancient dark magic.
"Look out!" Tala yelled out though it was probably pointless; just instinct. The King would surely know that he was there, as powerful as he was.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw a sword shoot down into the crater, acting as a lightning rod. She was thankful for that. She could probably let down her shield for now and throw it up quickly again if needed. She said the ending words to the spell and let out a sigh. Instantly, she felt less strained but still weak.
That man is looking at his arm again. It's bandaged.... probably an old wound. I hope he has taken care of it. Flesh rot is not a pleasant thing to deal with.

Zig heard Kel's words and admitted he had a point. Though it was interesting to see these different techniques being used they were also rather slow and show-offy. "Hello," she whispered as the sword buried itself within the crater. So that's what Kel used to draw off the lightning, but I wonder how it hurt his arm.

"Dammit I should have saw that coming. Hey reaper, I guess you didn't know huh? I might have been in assassin in my time to. You might have gotten to the pool but I don't think you were strong enough to learn this little number." The king laughed and muttered a word under his breath as the moon appeared out of no where and caused an eclipse. Motioning his hands outward the ground cracked open and an abyss was created. Tentacles swarmed around the edges daring to pull anyone in if they even got close. "Secret ancient assassin art, did you ever learn it?" He smirked but turned his back, "You guys might want o step back."

Tala's eyes widened in horror. It was dark.... so dark! She couldn't see anything. Dark... no.... please.... Daddy don't leave!
Tala shook her head feverishly to rid herself of that horrible memory. She opened her palm and whispered a single word. Appearing in the middle of her hand was a small flame that lit up hers, Valkyrie's, and Kiro's faces.
An otherworldly glow emitted from the gaping canyon in the earth. Squinting to focus, she saw wriggling things coming from it. Worms? Snakes? As her eyes adjusted to the poor lighting she noticed that they were tentacles.
Gods and Goddesses above. She thought to herself.
"Well, that's certainly impressive."

"If this battle doesn't scare the kingdom, this eclipse will..." He sighed, "An Eclipse is supposedly the start of a war in the old books..." He looked at the two fire girls, "In the books about our history, this... art... has only been used once, and that was at the start of the first Bloody War, as they call it. Where the four great nations of that time ended up in a war that lasted decades..." He now was looking up at the solar eclipse, "This could signal the new Bloody War..."

Zig eyes had just returned to their normal size when the king created an abyss. What the hell? The girls eyes widened once more as she noticed the writhing tentacles in the pit. She looked upward and noticed the eclipse with wonder. "I've always wanted to see a solar eclipse," she muttered as she continued to watch the skies. The king was much more powerful than she'd thought.

"Oh my God!" Taun thought while staring dumbstruck at the abyss and the eclipse. He knew the king was powerful, but still this was something that went way beyond normal power. He could also see that the girl with the tiger was looking increasingly worried. Taun wanted to run and help her but knew he couldn't. He had neither the strength to hold a shield up for that long, nor the speed to get there without being killed.

Kel got up off the wall once again and approached Taun to pat him on the shoulder. "You don't need to strain yourself with a shield. Lightning isn't a threat anymore and pending you aren't vulnerable to dark energy and you don't get too close to the big pit of soul eating death, you should be okay. Go on over there. We have your back." He returned to observing the fight and shook his head in dismay. "If I didn't know better I'd think the king was trying to kill everybody else instead his opponent. I seriously doubt insurance will cover all of this."
