One of the oddest sights to see is the Castle of Draklor, located in the fire nation’s territory. Once grand, and still grand, the castle stands tall as a reminder of how dangerous the Elemental royals can be. The design of the castle is to house all the royal families from each and every element. During the times of persecution, this was the last structure to fall. This is where treaties are made and broken, where betrayals and murders took place. Weddings and deaths, everything imaginable, even a war of nobles who wear masks, and plot each others deaths, all the while smiling at one another... The Castle has many levels to its magnificent structure. The first level is the servant’s rooms and lodging as well as the stables. Second is the banquet hall, library, studies, and the ball room Third till the Sixth is for the nobility, so as to not exhaust themselves climbing the many stairs. Then there are the towers. Each element respectively has their own tower, so there are naturally six. Those towers are their only safe havens from one another, like a piece of their own country where they cannot be invaded upon. Then of course...there is the secret floor, the one that only the Kings and Queens know where the stairs to reach it is. It is the dungeon. It has the smell of hundreds of years of rotting flesh. Many died innocent, many more died guilty. All were left to die without trial during the persecutions. So all starved till lady death took them away...
After months of being left to rot after the attack the castle has been rebuilt and is now protected by the same charms that protect the arena

The Queen has many duties, one is keeping the elemental royal families under control and not at each others throats. Personally though she didn't care. They could fight over control of the land all they wanted for all she cared. She came from the light kingdom. There had been no other heirs so as next in line the crown came to her. She walked through the empty halls, wondering where everyone went.

Illusion entered the castle from the south entrance and nodded to the guards who stood around talking instead of guarding. She shot their head a fiery glare and he quickly elbowed his friends into their proper position. She was not one for slacking, she was not one for ANYTHING when she was put incharge of a tournement she didn't want to be incharge of, was ditched, then stole some stupid watch back for some girl she didn't even know! She held a hand up to her temples and rubbed at them, wishing her coming headache to leave her be as she made her way towards the main hallway to possibly find the Queen or Princess.

Luke was busily doing nothing in particular, waiting for Russ to come back and for his next task, so that he'd have something to do. He blinked, then, remembering that Illusion was supposed to be here someplace. He found the nearest staircase, and started down.

She started to race through the halls, where was the Queen? Had she really neglected her duty enough to lose the leading lady? She sighed, slowing down. "What a mess" she muttered angerly as she passed the staircase and saw Luke descending last thing I need is to see mr. Zappy to improve my mood...ditcher! She spread her wings and channled an air current as she shot off like a torpedo, now avoiding Luke while trying to find Ashe.

Luke felt the air change momentarily, and looked down the hall, expressionless. The girl had vanished, so he decided to do something else for a bit. He stood still a moment, with a thousand-yard stare, gathering a few odd glances from the guards in their prissy ceremonial outfits.
He turned, struck by an idea, and headed out the main gate back toward town, deciding to see if the tavern owner had any little jobs he could do- more for the fun than the money.

Ashe wandered aimlessly, wishing for something worthwhile to happen when she saw her caption of the guard fly by. she doesn't look happy she thought as she peeked her head aroudn the corner and saw Luke leaving. I really should find something for him to occupy himself with before he ends up going on a spree in town. She turn on her heel and headed back towards the dining hall. It would be time to eat soon, and she was hoping to run into another Lord or Lady on the way.

Luke wandered through the halls aimlessly, his previous goal forgotten yet again. He pondered a stone in the wall, stroking it absent-mindedly, then jumped when he zapped it on accident. He rubbed at the wall gently, hoping that the scorch mark would come off without giving the cleaners too much trouble.
He sighed tiredly and decided to go hole up in the throne room, hopefully before he could get himself into any more trouble.
Within a few moments, he was there, and lounging in the queen's throne, turning a coin over and over in his fingertips, just to watch it twinkle. He was sitting across the chair sideways, his legs over one arm and his back resting against the other. Quite uncomfortable, these chairs...he murmured to himself, wondering why the royals liked them so much. He clacked the heels of his boots together in an aggravated fashion, wondering where Queen Ashe had gotten herself off to now. I suppose I'll have to make up my own work for a bit...he thought, grinning evilly. He dropped the coin and fumbled to catch it, then sat up again, trying to remember why he'd been smiling.

Tassen had decided that today would be a good day to take a fly around the country. So many things had changed sense the days of the Twilight Sanctuary, so many things gone wrong. After spending most of the day gliding lazily around the sky, he noticed the old royal tower. He thought that by now the old thing would have fallen into disrepair, but it was standing, and seem to have a newer settlement nearby. Maybe he was gone for too long? Maybe he should have poked his nose out more often? Seen the world as it changed again? Maybe he should have written it down someplace? Well, what has past has past. These mortals seem to move so quickly. Then again, with a life span of less than a hundred years, you have to move fast, or you will miss everything. Tassen flew closer to the towers, inspecting the state of the castle as a whole. His light was shining through the windows of the castle, as he stopped and peered into one of the windows. For having a town nearby, it seemed rather empty at the moment. Where were all the leaders of this place? Did the chaos still grip these lands? He really did stay in that cave and the nearby waterways for too long. He should have gone out and looked around a few hundred years ago, at least!

((Ashe is dead now. I'm killing her off because I don't like her anymore >< she vanished into smoke. She's missing in action~))
Illusion stopped, her mouth open and supressing a scream. There was a pile of ash in the queens chambers, the crown in the middle of the pile. It was bent and broken. Melted into strange patterns. She bit back her tears and she went to the closest flower jar, and the most magnificent, and blew the ashes into the jar and put a stopper in it. Then, she began to scream.

((That was a bit... abrupt...))
Luke's ears caught the scream, though he was a good distance away, and he started plotting his path toward it in his mind. His boots clicked swiftly over the stone floors, racing up the stairs three at a time, his mantle snapping briskly over his shoulders.
He burst soundlessly into the throne room, then reassessed the sound. Two more floors up, at least... He took off again, hurtling skyward toward the mysterious scream.

Tassen sensed the scream of someone... maybe someone in distress. The sound was through the air, and he tried to sense the person. The walls were thick, and stopped the air before he could get a picture of where the scream came from. He darted to the nearest window, trying to peer into the room were the scream came from. He knew he was close, but didn't know if it was this room, or a room more inward than the window.

Kiro was in the library, closest entrance to the water tower. Just in case he was going to get into trouble, safety was just on the other side of the archway... he heard a scream. He looked up from his book. He was the only one in the library... well, that he could see from his lone chair. He got up, folded the book around his finger, and walked off. He thought he heard it from a higher floor, so he went in search of a stairwell. He had to do something, afterall, what else would a troublesome water lord do?

Illusion was trembling, hardly able to hold the vase as she moved slowly towards the hallway. Baby steps was all she could take. Her wings were to heavy to lift, her eyes practically blinded with tears. She had failed. The Queen was dead. Her fingers felt wet and slippery, but she didn't realize it was because the vase was falling from her grip until it left and smashed onto the floor. She let out another head splitting scream as she saw that the ashes were gone. I can't even bring her ashes in one piece to the others. I am worthless. Then she collapsed.
((she's like delerious now))

Luke froze at the second scream, pausing to identify the voice and direction, now that he was closer. It sounded like Illusion, but she wasn't the screaming type... something must be very wrong.
His eyes narrowed, and he snapped his fingers and pulled on the strings around him, focusing a thin gale beneath his scarf, which stretched and billowed out like wings, carrying him forward faster than his sky-running had. He now literally flew down the hallway, then nearly collided with the collapsed knight. A quick flip and a grating scrape of steel on stone, and Luke stopped a few feet beyond the girl. He turned and looked her over carefully, but she seemed to be fine, aside from a little piece of ceramic that was stuck in her palm.
His eyes reverted to normal, now that there was no immediate threat, and he knelt beside her, to inspect her. He placed his hands on her and felt around slowly, but everything seemed to be okay. He took her hand and pulled the shard out quickly, then blew softly on it and rubbed with his thumbs away from the cut. He'd get her down to the infirmary later, after he found out what she'd screamed for.
He looked curiously at the vase, but it seemed ordinary enough to him. Surely no reason to scream if it shattered. The thought lingered in his mind, though, as he watched her distractedly. After a few moments, he scooped her up, avoiding her wings carefully, and went to look for the nearest window.
