(( I'm making my character, I'm trying to figure a way I can make him strong, but not to strong. I juat want him to be able to survive. After reading most of the profiles out there, I don't know how im gonna do that within the realms of non-powerplaying. I Actually wanted to make a character that's not from this planet, but he doesn't know it himself. Little does he know he has the power to fuse with metallic substances, but only when he touches it. Weak points is that it will fall off him as if liquid if he loses consantration, or falls asleep. What do the rest of you think?))

((The majority of the people that rp here aren't from earth so its not all that strange. I would just try it. I don't see why there would any reason to not have powers like that. Though they might be a little underpowered as you commented earlier.))

As long as you don't make your character all-powerful, god-like character you're good.

((Actually its many times what you can do with a character rather than what they have have, that makes them powerful. Look at Batman. Oh and yeah House is a good show. Though some of the ailments are bit far fetched. But thats half the fun.))

((The problem with having metal absorption powers is that you always have to have a source nearby. The fact that the Orion isn't really made out of any real metal materials limits what you have access to. That or he would have carry about samples of metal with different properties.))

Becasue the former is not likely unless you can think of some thing like molecule alteration, and the former would be a b***h because it would be difficult to carry enough metal around with your character to have enough to do anything. >>
