::Kenta, was it? Kenta, then. Wonder who Kenta is, the Orinian thinks to himself. Deity may do well to look into what these two have against eachother. That said, Keno tends to be a little harsh to everyone, despite his feelings toward them. Torn from his thoughts suddenly upon realizing the tiger is nearing, the Orinian lifts his left hand, gently nudging his glasses further down the bridge of his nose. He then tilts his head forward, peeking out of the tiny slit made between the frames and his headband. This is the first time he's laid eyes on Keno's face in a while. Perhaps the first without his glasses on.

Shaking the idea aside, he simply blinks in response to Keno's impatience. No need to demand an answer before allowing the person you're interrogating the chance to respond. And respond, he does. After a moment, reflecting again on what exactly transpired the other day, Deity nods gently. As he does, the green-haired mage Epithany arrives via elevator, greeting the three men after a moment. Well, two men - that last bit of Keno's conversation with Kenta seemed to leave the boy a pissed mess. Turning his head toward Pith to make it more clear that he's answering her, he cracks a light, brief smile, raising his right hand in a bit of a shrug. He's not really sure what to make of this.::

"You're not interrupting anything that can't continue with your company. Not sure how much contribution you can make." He speaks bluntly, as though pressed for time. His head, which had just a moment ago turned to address Epithany without him having to actually move that much, returned to face Deity, whose only response to his rather rushed and impatient inquiry was a nod to confirm what he pretty much already knew to be true.

It had been a while since Keno had seen anything behind those glasses the Orinian favored so much. His frequent absences, coupled with Deity's rare appearances - the ones Keno attended anyway - made him unsure as to whether he always wore those down here these days or not. No matter, but still it was somewhat pleasant to see even a little of his eyes.

He mulled over this with a disdainful look on his face, which pretty much would leave one under the impression that he was displeased with his company and was choosing his next words carefully. Truth be told he just liked pausing for no reason every once in a while, though it wasted what little time he had.

"It seems to me, from what I've witnessed anyway, that Jade trains either alone, or under the tutelage of your or Sir Aaron. Originally I thought this might be a good idea." At least he was smiling, even if it was somewhat forced and not all that welcoming. Hardly a sign of pleasure, it did little more than keep him...bearable for a moment as he was sure Deity wanted a lecture from him least of all people. Couldn't blame the guy for that seeing as their morals weren't exactly compatible.

"After what I saw though, I have to say that you've either gotten much too soft for your own good or you're not training her as well as you could be. Recognizing Sir Aaron to be as powerful and wise as he is, that displeases me greatly. Is there any reason you can't teach her how to actually fight?"

Blinking offhandedly at the young man rushing off toward the lounge in exasperated manner she shrugged returning her attention back on those present. Upon receiving both of their greetings she wrinkled figuring that it would be in her better mind to depart. She knew quite well of what Keno spoke of, but what Jade had gone through yesterday was just as important as anything anyone could have taught her. The saying of, "What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger", was very apparent. In the case of Saiya-jins that was quite literally what would happen. Injury begets experience and actual physical power.

Bowing her head in silence she made a beeline from the tense line of question heading towards the bar, when it occured to her that the newcomer might want something. Turning on her heels she made her way towards the Lounge.

"Uhhh hello there...I'm getting a drink from the bar. Do you want anything?"

Summoning forth her staff with a though she leaned upon the wooden rod blinking inquisitively at the young man. Something about him still made her question her senses.

...none that you would understand.

::Breaking away from what some might call his usual behavior, Deity answers quickly and sternly. His voice is hardly above a whisper, as always. Indeed, he can't rightly describe why he's so easy on her. Perhaps what Tali said is right, though in a much different context than the demon was implying - Deity is teaching her well enough in some areas, but hardly at all in others. As the young girl's confrontation with Taliman proved, those are the areas that are in the greatest need of attention.

The Tonepian says nothing else, eyes remaining on Keno for the moment. He will need to try harder in his methods, but can only do so much for his beloved. She isn't simply a tool, an instrument that can be fine-tuned. Without motivation, all Deity or the Knight could do is waste her time or bore her. That very thought going through his mind, the boy doubts it would be an excuse satisfactory for Keno.::

Kenta Kitsune

PostPosted: Tue Jun 26, 2007 7:12 pm

"Just go away Miss 'Pith," answered an exhausted voice. That was all that answered though as there was no body in the room. Well there was, but young Kenta had transformed into his kitsune form, a fox of only the purest of silver fur, save the tips of his ears and tail which were the deepest of black. That wasn't enough to actually hide him though, so he buried himself under a pile of pillows.

Turns out, that when the young man wanted to get away from someone, he usually just walked away so as not to have to confront them. However when he was unable to do that, he usually just tried to hide away where he couldn't be seen so that anyone and everyone would just leave him alone.

"I don't want anything..."

"I was wondering what happened to the life in your voice," he answered as though the sting had missed its mark. Knowing Deity, there likely wasn't much effort to actually p***k Keno with words, but still, attitude was good he thought. Even he couldn't be indifferent all the time. Just didn't seem right.

"The child is...different. That much I can admit, but the fact of the matter is whenever she has a problem, which thankfully isn't often, she usually goes to you. Because of you and you alone Caine will eventually kill her or be killed by her and I'm none too confident anymore." He spoked as though he actually had high expectations of the Tonepian, as though he actually thought of all people to train Jade, Deity would be the best. Indeed he was rather disappointed in all the time wasted where he might have at least tried to help, but seeing as no one came asking, he naturally assumed none was needed. Knew he then what he knows now and perhaps he might have put his foot where it didn't belong whether they liked it or not.

"I don't doubt your intentions, but I am a bit peeved. Enough to allow you to take out any frustrations you may or may not have on me so long as I can do the same. Unfortunately I have...other affairs to attend to tonight." How very up front, but not unlike the guy to lean one way, sway the other, and then go back all in one step. He was rather upset that he couldn't stay and just get it over with, especially seeing as how he hadn't really fought anyone in some time. That couldn't be helped though as he had other things that could not be put off.

"Words will hardly suffice I think so we will deal with the matter using alternative methods." Not feeling the need to clarify, he readjusted his scarf and headband and slowly made as though to walk straight through Deity, which is exactly what he did as he Drifted out of the place in his common ghostlike fashion; first through Deity, and then the door, leaving the place pretty quiet until he popped his head back in for a moment, his scarf unnecessarily waving about as though it just had to.

"I'll be back in a few days. Be ready."

Taken aback by the crass reply from the boy , it took her a moment to recognize the oddity in way he dismissed her. Wrinkling her brow she turned from the lounge area making her way towards the bar. She had noticed what she had previously perceived to be mainly a slight flux in his mana signature from lack of proper control of his natural energies .

Now she had an inkling of his origins. Pith was a name that few called her save for within the doors of the orion. Placing a "Miss" in front of it donated a greater deference on top of the rather familiar nickname. The young man was most likely a future permutation of a Orion goers child. Whom she would probably have to observe her spheres later.

Regardless, had he been an incarnation of one of her own children, she would have probably struck him for the sass. Laughing to herself it occurred to her that perhaps that boy had knowledge of one of her future children. She of course wouldn't ask him, but the concept was amusing to say the least.

Stopping at the bar she prepared herself a flute of red wine. Such ideas would bring about interesting thoughts. It was better than mulling over the latest world crisis. And amusing way to end a night.

::Back to his usual ways, Deity does not respond, nor does he again part his lips to speak. He absorbs everything Keno says but doesn't seem to react to it. He'd be hard-pressed to disagree with much of what the tiger says, despite wanting to. The Orinian won't be here forever. His immortality would convince some of otherwise, but Deity has his doubts that he'll even make it through the year. What then? Is Sir Aaron going to protect her? As strong as he is, he lacks Deity's mobility, and isn't likely to follow Jade wherever she goes.

Taliman has expressed no desire to hurt the girl, but Caine is the exact opposite. There isn't a Jade-friendly bone in the man's body - he'd surely take the chance to kill her if he could. Jade must learn to not only defend herself, but to fight when she needs to. Deity'll stick to her and alter his training methods. There's only so much he can do, but he'll do as much as he can. It's better than handing her off to someone who becomes a hard and unfeeling teacher, like he imagines Keno would be.

Sighing softly, the tall Orinian drops back, letting his shoulders lean into the door behind him. Lowering his head, jaw near his collarbone, he remains silent in contemplation. Now it would seem that Keno actively wishes to fight. Not the most welcome thought, but an intriguing one nonetheless. The Tonepian actually can't recall when he last had a real bout against the tiger. They scuffled once after the boy regained his humanity, but it lasted only seconds. Before that, it was Fierce doing battle with the Black Tiger. Revenge isn't truly a word in Deity's vocabulary, so he feels that he has nothing to 'teach' Keno about what he did to the people of Earth. He simply wishes not to associate himself with murderers - he has no wish to murder them back.

Leaving himself to these thoughts, the tall quiet one stuffs the black tape into his pocket, now picking at the tape on his hand with his left to remove it as well.::

[insert depressingly thoughtful shunkanpoof exit post here]

...when Deity is IC next, he'll likely be fighting Keno in a few days. After/before that, he'll be playing Twist....just 'cause. xP ...anywho, bedtime. Or, at least...get-off-of-computer time. Bye bye, Sone... ::lepoof::>>
