Look at me you idiot! You know I'm here. I know you know I'm here! Dammit don't ignore me! Why aren't you saying anything to him? You don't have to take this anymore Kenta. He really was at a loss for words. Worse still was his self consciousness as he forgot to shower after pruning trees earlier. In fact, not once since he started that damn job did he ever clean up before stopping by. His mother would have a fit if he behaved that way back home.

Clenching his fists, his ears stood on end with a bit of rage and a little irritation. There was nothing much different about now or any other time he ever talked to his father. The anger, feeling ignored, the desire to beat the man into the ground, only to realize he wasn't quite that strong yet. That always got to him. He could never seem to catch up. Maybe he'd have an advantage here in the past. He was probably just deluding himself.

Whatever the case, he was only standing there and nothing was getting done. Glaring at his father, he realized how much better it would have been had he at least somewhat rehearsed how he was gonna introduce himself.

<<@Tacity: How does that even work, man...? xD If the blades affected the shells the way they should, the shells should be gone...like....burned away into wisps of shelly smoke. >

"You could always start with an introduction," Keno spoke completely out of nowhere, revealing to himself, since no others were around, that his inability to disconnect from the minds of others around him was still a prevalent problem. Perhaps he should consult someone with more controlled telepathic abilities so he could get rid of that rather annoying habit. It was a wonder he learned to ignore the voices as though they were annoying little kids not really saying anything worth his time. It was the best he could do at the moment.

"Like it or not I can tell just by smelling you who you are and seeing as I haven't seen your mother in a few months, I can guess where you came from. What I don't know though is why on Earth you felt it necessary to come all the way here to talk to me when I'm not likely to die any time soon." He faced the boy, stood up, and actually approached him as though genuinely irritated with the child's lack of a backbone. Truth be told, he was a bit curious as to what this boy's problem really was. He was mature clearly, strong - he had the aura of a novice warrior with more power than he actually needed - and didn't seem to have grown up to a life of constant trauma. What exactly had he to complain about.

"Seeing as you know my name, how about you give me yours. We can move on from there."

((Its actually a compromize between my initial reaction of *does nothing because its temporal steel and ethereal* and the expectation of *oh noes, boom* A whole bunch of small ones would actually hurt quite a bit less, just more everywhere instead of "oh bugger, I seem to be missing my torso"))

His dad always had to have that intriguing hint of knowledge that most others didn't. Ignorant as he was, confused as he should have been, not only did he recognize who Kenta was, but he was aware that the boy hadn't technically been born yet. This man was so completely unphased, one would have thought he had seen it coming all along. Hell maybe he did. He was so sensitively aware of everything the air touched that he probably picked Kenta up the day he arrived by no fault of his own.

Personally he never taught his son how to do that, though he heard his mom took a few lessons. She even showed him what little she could do (usually when she was upset). Kenta felt it was a grave injustice that he never benefitted from the vast knowledge and wisdom his father's mind actually contained. Even in combat training he was mostly on his own to figure things out for himself. He didn't even know the Tiger Wave of all things. It was infuriating just thinking about it.

Suddenly he wasn't really nervous. Instead he was just mad. This man before him, though he was pretty much covered from head to toe, was in every way like the man he already knew. That meant he needed not feel any new sort of reverence or fear for him. It would do no good acting like a timid helpless creature with his father. Regardless of his innocence though, the young kitsune couldn't think for a minute to be docile.

"Mother named me Kenta," he answered coldly, calmly, with an air of disdain. This was who Kenta usually was when he was around his father, or anyone who talked about his father most times. Timid was just an instinct he was unaware of, not being one to go out alone most often. Despite is frustration though, he was much more comfortable acting like this than being the polite, wary new guy.

<<@Tacity: If that means Tac'll be actually fighting with said maces instead of firing bolts of quasi-electricity that erase their targets, shooting at Deity with homing missiles that operate properly even if diced into dozens of tiny pieces, manipulating time in some freakish manner that renders Deity a walking scab, and attacking Deity by impaling limbs with weapons of impossible sharpness, then Deity urges you to do so. He'd rather be beaten to death than...whatever'd to death. xP

....if it just means more of the same, no thanks.>>

::The skies illuminated a golden orange, the sun is slowly, gradually falling into the horizon at this point in the evening. It's a mildly misleading scene, considering how cold it is. It has not snowed for a few days now, but frost remains on almost everything in the woods and the clearing around the Tower. Leftover snow has settled in the forest itself, what little warmth available from the sun unable to reach it. It is through this tougher ice that footprints can be seen, leading down an often-followed path cleared only by frequent visitation.

Crunching his way through the snow with each step is the owner of the building beyond, boots covered in melted snow as he walks. His dark jeans are tucked into his knee-high leather boots - likely to avoid soaking them, as well - held up with a belt that keeps the waistband tight around his loose red tanktop. The collar of his shirt reaches just below his neck, locket and pendant both in their usual places, as are the boy's eyeglasses and headband. As the slender Orinian heads home, his right hand - wrapped in black tape - circles his left repeatedly, slowly unwrapping his still-bound left hand. He was training out in the woods, as usual, from the looks of things. Perhaps to get his mind off of recent events.

After what happened a few days ago, he's beginning to realize just how fragile his beloved remains to be. He knows he should take his training with her more seriously, but it's difficult. He can't be hard, stern and disciplined, like so many of the battle-hardened inhabitants and visitors of his home. It's hardly in his nature. Father realizes it, of course. If it were not for him, Deity would not have let Jade let loose that first attack. It took nearly the entire fight for the boy to stop struggling against his father's arm. He knows first hand how terrible Taliman can be, as well as that most of that terror is soon to be aimed at Deity himself. His wanting faith in his ability to survive that inevitable confrontation aside, the Mystic Tonepian must better protect Jade. The best way to do this, he knows, is to help her better protect herself. The best way to do that...he doesn't know.

Reaching the clearing, Deity is pleased to hear a cease to the sound of snow crunching under his soles, replaced by the sound of frozen grass crunching under his soles. Ahh, nature. Near his home now, he opens his mind and searches around for any nearby signatures. Keno, oddly enough. Someone else as well, though Deity doesn't recognize him, depsite his vaguely familiar scent. Reminds him of Ichigo, though thankfully no longer in a way that gives him the urge to eat her. Just one more reason to avoid transforming ever again. Anyway. This new guy seems a little more uneasy than the average person. Angry, rather. Not that being angry with Keno is a new thing for Deity, but most people seem to like him. Minus Red and User, that is.

Curious as to what the situation may be, the tall boy stops briefly at the doors, opening the one to the left with his now bare hand. The knob is frigid, and takes a sudden jerk to be freed of the icey coating. Holding the heavy wooden door open, Deity peeks in for a second before stepping through and letting the door close on its own. He just stands there for a moment, right hand full of black tape and hovering near his waist, face forward and back to the entrance. He looks to be staring at nothing - which is correct. As foggy as his glasses are, they are meant to be one-way. Coming from the cold outside to the comparative warmth inside has transformed his eyeglasses into shields that render him temporarily blind. So he just stands there, opting to wait for the fog to go away rather than take the glasses off.::

"Did she now? She made an excellent choice in names then," he said sounding coldly sarcastic, while at the same time remaining honest. Truth be told, should Ichi conceive any time soon, which would require him actually seeing her some time this season, he'd have to strongly encourage the name. His sincere, yet clearly indifferent smile likely wouldn't help with much either, but rather than get more involved with whatever the boy might want to say to him, he took notice of the very person he had actually meant to see for a few days now.

"Well Kenta, welcome to Orion. Get comfortable." With that he walked around the boy toward Deity, someone he didn't really have a grudge with, though all the same he was rather irritated and wasn't likely to try to hide it from prying minds. Verbally he would try to be civil though, as was usually the case. Nasty words were usually used by barkers who had little to no bite. He wasn't that pathetic yet.

"To get straight to the point," he said with an air that implied he was not feeling the least bit friendly about the matter at hand, "I'm sure you already know what happened a few days ago, yes?" As he came within, oh, seven feet or so he paused and pulled his arms up to his scarf, lowering it from over his nose to situate it under his chin, while at the same time lifting his headband over his right eye so that he might cast both of them on the boy who was actually centuries older and, up close, seemed meters taller.

At this point though, there weren't too many people that weren't taller than him. Hell even his kid beat him by a few inches. It was old news to him and something he had long since gotten accustomed to. Kinda like knowing someone somewhere wanted him beat up or dead for something. Speaking of which, he hadn't been on speaking terms with the wolf boy since the incident in January. How about that.

"Well?"

Arriving on the main floor of the orion the doors of the elevator slid open following their customary bell. Stepping into view the mage's footfalls clattered onto the Orion's floor. Yawning languidly she scanned her surroundings with and amethyst gaze.

It had proven to be considerably quiet since she had observed the battle between Jade and Taliman. Even though the bout had turned out to be rather lopsided, it was still more interesting to watch something as it happened rather than viewing it via one of her many surveillance measures. She knew not how the others would react to having their actions recorded, but at least she had the common courtesy to not have place any of her tracking spheres in anyone's personal space. The practice was one that allowed her to keep track of many of the general events that transpired with the Orion whether she was present or not. Having extra sensory knowledge always let her greater at ease amongst others for some reason.

As of late her attention had been placed on just watching what was on television as to at least get a narrow view of what was happening in the world. The result was perhaps the reason why she did not spend much time watching television in the first place. Appeared the world thrived on producing a apathetic image of itself. Despite their lack of knowledge of the broader issues going about the world, it still seemed as though people seemed happy to absorb the sensationalism and outright ignorance their culture had to offer. It was saddening.

Pushing the depressing thoughts from her head she made note of those present, waving unenthusiastically. In an odd show, it seemed Deity had actually come about. Despite living within the walls he built she had only really conversed with the man on one occasion. The rest of the times of seeing him, it had mainly been in transit. The other person present was none other that Keno. Keno was an individual whom she many times found herself at odds with, yet she liked the man none the less. The third was an individual she had yet to have met...or had she. Something about his mana signature seemed familiar yet different at the same time. Shrugging she smiled.

"How are you boys? I'm not interrupting anything am I?"

Just like that. That's the way it always happened. Usually though, Kenta was in the middle of a mad rant, but it was the same sort of rude reaction from his father; he just walked away as though it wasn't a big deal that he actually had a son. Somehow, everyone else was always more important. Sometimes, nothing was more important and his Keno would still rather do that.

Furious, but unable to leave as his father and his aunt's lover were at the door, the silver kitsune stormed off to the lounge, his fur standing on end and his fists trembling violently. His hair glittered as he walked away, footsteps practically shaking the club, though in reality he barely phased the floor beneath him.

When he passed through the threshold, he made his way further in so that no one could see him and plopped himself straight down on a couch, fuming quietly as he tried to calm his nerve and reduce his blood pressure. He was just seconds away from beating something half to death.
