Wesley continues to stare at the girl for a moment longer, lifting one brow with a conceited smirk on his face. He sips again from his flask before bringing his left hand forward, returning the bottlecap. Shifting his coat around, he slides the small container into the right pocket of his slacks as he answers Jade, head down and face hidden.
"Nothing you could offer me. Or would offer me."
Raising his head again, that grin lingers as he brings the little girl back into view. She wields that sword as an infant swings it's rattler around, making lots of noise in a haphazard fashion. He could teach her a thing or two about swordplay; his child could. Perhaps he should give it a try. Tali steps forward onto the first stairstep, then the next, then the next. Casually strolling his way onto the battle stage, he lets his eye stray about, absorbing the structure of the ring. Not his preferred battle locale, but a useful one all the same.

A shiver ran down the girl's spine, creating goosebumps along her arms, her tail bristling more before flattening slightly. Taliman always unnerved the girl, and this time was no exception. His presence was making her loose her cool and focus, causing her blade skills to falter as well.
The fox's comment brought up an unpleasent memory from long ago, one that both disgusted and upset her. But Jade pressed the image down, and struggled to ignore the comments going on within her head. Kirra could be intolerable at times.
"Not in your lifetime."
She knew how long Tali had lived, and would [unfortunately] continue to live for, thus showing the impossibility of her offering anything to the warlord. Jade took in a deep breath and let it out, trying to regain her focus. But her green eyes catching sight of Taliman entering the ring made it difficult. She gripped the hilt tighter, holding the blue blade fast and steady before her.

SPEAKING OF NINJAS. Ichi was bored to DEATH today. So bored, that she decided to go onto her Wii's internet, to crunchyroll.com and watch all the available Naruto Shippuden episodes. Now THAT'S boredom. That's 8 1/2 hours and 17 episodes, yo. ))

Shippuuden is the Naruto time warp. 2 1/2 years after the other thingy part thing. It's better than 2 1/2 years of filler. :'D ))
