Lin nodded politely back at the young woman. She could sense an air of wilderness around this one, but she would not point it out. It wasn't proper. And this girl seemed to be entranced with her ears. They must not have elves nearby in this area.

"It is nice to meet you. My name is Lin Yin. I am an exchange student from Bai Ching. An elf, to be exact, as you can see. And yes, I did see someone of that description here just a few moments ago."

[[Nice to meet you. smile My name's Cuwen, or you can just call me Laura.]]

"I am afraid that I cannot tell you which direction he went, since I did not see him leave. However, I do know that he said he was trying to catch someone. I don't know why he couldn't just wait to find them in a normal manner, but I assume it was a dire reason as to why he needed to find them."

She had noticed that the woman before her had looked at her ears awhile longer and then looked away. "And, of course, if you ever wish to know more about my kind, I would be more than happy to share what I know with you. After all, we are in a school, and as my professors always say, you should never pass up an opportunity to learn and to share what you already know with others."

Danni raised a brow at Kai's 'girlish figure' comment, and raised the other brow when he patted her on the head. She wasn't used to any sort of casual affection from other people, except Ambrose every now and then when he felt like it. It was...strange...Shaking off the feeling, she focused on the show and tell comment. "Well, Kai, what did you bring for show and tell today? I was showing off my little Zapporo." She said, patting him affectionately as he curled around her waist.

Cook suddenly slapped her on the head with his spatula, and she jumped, turning around the face him. "What?" She asked, and he pointed at the window, where a huge black crow was perched just outside. "I don't want that creature in my kitchen, little one." He said, even as she went to go open the window. Still, he watched with some pride as she took the crow onto the crook of her arm, as it cawed softly in hre ear. She made small sounds in a language that he couldn't understand, but obviously the bird did, for he seemed to nod his large head before flying off out the window again. Danni shut the window, then returned to start stirring her batter again.

"What did your large friend say this time, or was it a different one? I seem to recall it was a hawk last time." He said conversationally, and she nodded. "I'll be getting out of here after I wash the dishes for you after dinner tonight. There's a great thunder storm coming along, and on the full moon too." I've worked out and translated a few new spells from the book of the ancients. You wanna come along?" She asked with a grin, knowing what his answer would be.

"Oh no, we tried that once, remember? I had nightmares for a week afterward, kept checking my pantry for those spectors of yours." He said, shaking his dark head. "Suit yourself, but you know I didn't mean to have that guy come after you. He had a mind of its own. I shooed him off for you, didn't I?" She asked, and Cook laughed, a deep baritone that resonated off the walls.

"Because of course your concern for me exceeds everything else, even your fetish for the horrifying." He said, and she grinned. "Of course. You are, after all, my one true love." She said, a long standing joke between them that had started the first time she'd wandered into the kitchen saying, 'I'll love only you forever if you'll just give me some red meat,' She'd gotten her meat, and had found a best friend in the process, and a surogate father when hers was hundreds of miles away.

"Right, or course, how could I forget?" Cook asked, chuckling and flipping more pancakes for the horde of students and staff that would pile into the cafeteria in a while. "Well, don't forget o take the umbrella this time, and the key to the kitchens. I won't help you in through the window this time if you forget it, and I won't tolerate puddles on my floor." He said, and she grinned sheepishly. "I mopped them up, didn't I? And I didn't have a key to use because you hadn't given it to me yet." She reminded him, but he just shrugged and ruffled her hair before turning back to his skillet.

Ialo sighed as he got off the floor. The reprimanded student had run away, but luckily they seemed to have learned their lesson. He had been preoccupied that he didn't notice the small flaming dragon come flying towards him. "Ugh... Why is so familiar?" Maybe because a vaguely similar situation occurred at Athena's house. He reached up and stroked the dragon atop his head.

"Anyways, would I be correct in assuming that you're not only a new student, but this is your doing?" Ialo let his eyes slit for a few minutes while he 'talked' to the dragon on his head. For several moments he had a somewhat serene expression on his face, and he looked almost exactly like his ancestor, Ophiuchus.

"Ummm i wouldnt exactly saying it was my doing." Shintero wasnt quite sure what to say due to the change of his spell he or nobody else caused. "Well uh you see i origionaly casted a fire spell and to show the people in the kitchen that i can form my spells to look like dragons." Shintero was having a tad bit of trouble explaining things. "And then suddenly it went from a red flame to its current color and was no longer being kept 'alive' by my magic nor any one elses for i checked." Shintero thought for a bit on how he should finish his explaination. "Also it seems to have gained a mind of its own and flew out of the kitchen thus with me chasing after it and now here we are." He finished his last few words a little slowly as curiosity filled him. how exactly did it change and why? "Oh and yes im a new student sorry for ingnoring your first question." Shintero then suddenly realized the person he ran into looked familiar. After a quick study he saw that the person he ran into resembled ophiuchus. "Im not quite sure if this is my doing or not for the, dragon as i should say, now has a mind of its own and was seemed to be attracted by something, and im guessing that something is you."

"I'm guessing it was," Ialo slowly agreed. "Although I never intentionally did anything, it's quite possible for one to 'hack' another's spell, and command it to do something else, even go against the original caster. But, you'll learn more about that later in the year, I think. It's a useful topic."

The dragon slid down Ialo's face and into his arms. "Er.... If it makes you feel better, I'm not doing this consciously...."

He looked up at Athena. "Actually, I think it's more apt to say that they fear or respect me, rather than like me.

"Whatever you say. That one likes you," Athena said.

Ella stood in her classroom as wrote on the board. Her ears perked as she heard her cell phone rang and it never rang. She walked quickly over to the desk and answered it. "Hello." "How did it go?" A huge smiled crossed her face. "Really! Oh my gods have blessed me!" She wanted to jusmp up and down. "Oh when can I get her?" She was happy, maybe overly happy. "Really? That soon? Thats great. I'll get her after school!" "Thank you so much, Mr. Collen. Thank you." "Alright, bye." She put the phone down after she hung it up. "Ah!" She screamed in joy and then went to giggling. "I can't believe it!" 'I can finally have my little girl back.' She looked at the students. "You know what. Lets have some fun." She casted a party spells.
