I'm gonna do everything I can to go, I'm putting in alot of extra hours at work and saving every penny I can.
But in that same month kitten should (hopefully) be coming up for 2 weeks and I've got a wedding, not to mention the 4th off july. So money is, to say the least. Going to be tight.

On Messiah's note, I am having a little difficulty getting money just for my debts (so far $275!), and the job said not last Tuesday but the Tuesday before that to call them NEXT Tuesday so I did. "Oh, we haven't decided yet, calls us back next Tuesday"
So I'm taking that as a polite "no" but I'm going to call and harass them anyway until they come out and say it.
But without that job, that means I'm stuck babysitting and cutting lawns for a demographic that prides itself on traditionally doing it themselves. sad

In light of recent events, and some shifting in who can and cannot make it...
I am needing to over-haul some of this... confused
I am current entertaining the thought of simply moving it to next Summer.
I would be able to make paid reservations for about 5 rooms, and it would give everyone a chance to recover from the current disasters that seem so prevalent.
Now, as for this Summer, as the list has shrunk quite a bit... I am trying to consider what the best entertainments would be, and how best to facilitate everyone.
Suggestions?

If it takes place next summer, I will not be able to go most likely. It was already quite a streach to make it happen this year for me.

I -may- be moving to florida next summer but if everythings going as is ill be living with my parents in october again so i'll have enough money to go.
That said I'm putting in the extra hours to try and manage both vacations this year

gonk Shits, forgot to post an update on this thing. Last November I broke up with my boyfriend and moved back in with my mom, and then in mid-January there was an unfortunate incident after which I decided I really, really no longer wished to remain living with my mother. (Apparently she's moving to New Orleans and ditching my brother now anyway, so, situation wouldn't be that different anywho)
Was going to live with a friend from highschool, but after a week of washing all her dishes and sleeping on a chair in her living room while I waited for her to clear out the spare bedroom so I could actually move my bed, and, sleep on it... she decided that she needed her "personal space" and I had to leave.
(She still owes me $150, lol)
So I had'a quit my job and move out of the city, and now have ended up on the west coast, and will be going to school all summer.
IN SHORT-- I no longer have money and will be busy. Boo!

Kia Kitten Perhaps there could be a small gathering this year for those that can go, and hold a larger one next year? Distinct possibility.... Especially as I have had several yes this year and yes next year responses. I'm sorry Anetra, mayhaps next annum?

I would definitely be in favor of moving it to next year. This year all my con-going money is going towards things like Origins with my gamer crew (sorry guys, but I'm not dating any of you ;D ), so by next year I'll have amassed enough fundage to do something a bit farther away.

If it happens next summer, I can co-ordinate both a house and job search with the convention, and at the same time place what little reserve funds I have into completing debt forgiveness.
If it still happens this year, I'll still work to go, I'm just hell bent on getting all of this nonsense done forever.
