Krouw cringed, and looked out at the chaos. "Well.." Oh no, she could barely remember it! "It was about men.. who could turn into fearsome animals.. Oh.. I forget..." She sniffled, and tried to stay focused. "They were called Skinrunners? No.. Skinwalkers, I think. I barely remember though.." The girl looked down. "They were supposed to destroy villages, but I always thought it was nonsense. It's impossible.."

Dancer watched the commotion from the edge of the forest. Just as he had told Wambli, the humans were not to be trusted. It was better to live a free life alone than to tie yourself to ones who would turn on you at the slightest word.

After searching the forest until dark not finding Cowrie anywhere, Verbena supposed the girl must have run back to camp. Walking back from the village might have been more harrowing had she not believed what she did - the coyote was dead, reduced to a skin on a crazy old man. What a fate.

The next morning, coming into the village was a scene of terror once more - only this time it was almost frightening, something the mare had never seen before. Humans attacking Soquili! Driving them away! Verbena stepped back towards the trees as a frightened stallion went running past, nearly hitting her in the process. What was going on?!

Yei's eyes narrowed to mere slits as the villager approached them, Achak had gained her trust by caring for her but she had always been apprehensive around most two leggers when it came to groups, after all the Spirits in the mist were said to be those of the forest and of humans who had fallen upon the mountains and those spirits had chased her off a cliff face.

...Now they wanted to chase her from their village when she was trying to help?

"Get away from me!" She roared, rearing onto her hindlegs as her ears flattened against her head and her forelegs failed forward in defence. It was an automatic response and she was a large beast due to her need for long legs upon the mountainsides, they gave her reach and the outcome was inevitable.

"Get back!" She continued as her hoof collided with a rather abrupt 'bump' against the villager's chest!

Call it motherly instinct, but nothing was going to hurt her or Nagual.

There was enough chaos to be had without the foolish creature slamming into her like that. The black mare was not particularly large, so it kept all but knocking her off of her feet.
