Aqua seemed to get along well with Cazador. The fire cat didn't seem particularly interested, but he wasn't hissing or anything; he tolerated her at best. Alejandro wondered how'd she get along with Destello. He wouldn't be surprised if she was terrified of Electric-types considering that four-eyed b*****d's training methods. She probably didn't mind Cazador since she had the type advantage. Alejandro sighed quietly. They'd just have to be careful."Por?""It's nothing. Just thinking, that's all."

The duo wasted no time. As they flew into Viridian city, Avikna made some minor changes to her team, anticipating a serious match against the final gym leader of the Kanto region. Replacing Astrid with Nepherit, she figured it wouldn't do her any good to have the pup dragon on her team right now. Astrid wasn't her strongest Pokemon, but she was running the risk of making some of her Pokemon to powerful, to the point where obedience might come into question. She didn't want that. So for now, Astrid just seemed the best bet. Ule'tra and Ookoth as well were within a safe spectrum.
Landing outside the Gym, Avikna checked one last time over the known moves of her Pokemon. Figuring they were as good as they could get, the red-head finally headed inside, toting Tay along. The teen quickly moved to the bleachers, while Avikna stepped up to the challenger's corner. An annoying cheerleading quartet echoed through the gym, as Gary, the leader of the gym appeared. He sized her up, as she stared him down. "I'm guessing you're not another admirer?" He inquired. "No, I'm not. I'm here to fight." Avikna quickly replied. "Shame. Alright, let's get this over with than." he stated, tossing forward his first Pokemon. Avikna did the same, sending Astrid out first.

With a smirk, Blue tossed a hand through his hair and, for a few moments, struck something of a pose. His cheerleaders, through their sorrow, cheered him on. "Heh. It's been a while since my team and I have had a good challenge," he remarked, then relaxed his body before he began to cross the battlefield. "You did well. If your team was a bit stronger, you probably wouldn't have even needed to use any items." Had this redhead just decided to test herself by only using three pokemon? It was... curious, he'd never seen someone use so many items just to keep three pokemon conscious and battle-ready. The gym leader didn't reflect on it long, and instead looked at Avikna with a laidback smile before he handed her her winnings. "This Earth badge proves that you've defeated me, congratulations. This is also for you, Trick Room." Once she had both items, Blue gave the girl a wink before he headed back towards the backroom, his fans' condolences and pick-me-up cheers echoing throughout the gym, to heal his team.
She knew the challenge she'd put upon herself. She also knew that if she'd used her strongest Pokemon she'd of likely made much less of a fool of herself, using over half the Hyper Potions she'd come across, but also... If she wasn't using just three Pokemon. That couldn't be helped. Tay wasn't ready, nor strong enough to take on the gyms she was challenging. Regardless, this was the end of Kanto, the real trouble came with the other regions. If she had this much trouble against types other than Ice or Dragon...
Taking in a deep breath, the red-head turned to face Tay, who was eagerly rushing over, along with Mave and Arietty. The lizard looked concerned. Avikna closed her eyes ,crossing her arms gently across her chest. "I'm fine. Let's get moving." Avikna voiced. "It's time to party." Her gaze lifted, and a forced grin rested over her lips.

Azalea knew she probably should have been encouraging Gloriosa's eagerness to battle, but they had more important matters to attend, like hunting down the p***k that had tagged over her tag. Not only was she having to backtrack over all the progress she'd made walking on foot across Kanto, but she was having to go back to Alola just to find and paint her tags again. It was going to be a b***h of a job, and as a professional couch potato, Azalea was not appreciating all this extra effort she had to make to get around. "Ugh, you know what? Screw this." She tapped Jasmine's pokeball and hopped onto her back. "I'm so damn tired of walking around. It's exhausting. Take me to Pallet Town." The scolipede huffed but trudged forward nonetheless. She was used to being used as transport, really.

As Azalea settled in on Jasmine's back, Gloriosa grew curious about her new surroundings and the large pokemon they were now riding. "Jasmine's spikes ain't a playground, idiot. You'll get poisoned if you try climbing around on them, so settle down." Azalea insisted, smooshing Gloriosa's floof down and giving her a sharp but distant look. Glory seemed to grow still at last, but stared wide-eyed and expectantly at her trainer. "What? Do you want a bedtime story or somethin'?" Azalea tossed sarcastically. Or was the furball actually curious about Jasmine? "Scolopede's have poison pins all over their bodies. Jasmine's, in particular, I made sure were the kind that was extra poisonous such that touching them had a good chance of poisoning opponents. It's handy that way." The danshen listened intently to every word, which intrigued Azalea. She'd heard that they were a curious species, but this seemed to be a particular sign of deeper intelligence and desire to learn, which was mildly fascinating.

Given that she wasn't doing much of anything at the moment and she clearly had an interested audience, Azalea delved a bit into some of her research on poisons and some of their uses. She didn't expect the danshen to fully comprehend what all she was saying, but she supposed it felt kind of nice to think that maybe Glori had an interest in her work. Kind of like when she got the chance to talk to Emmet about some of it... She rarely had anyone or anything who took a genuine interest in her studies. Not that she could blame people. It was tedious work that most would consider boring if their minds were too small and insignificant to understand the unlimited possibilities of plants and the types of toxins they produced. Azalea quietly rambled on about one particular study she conducted with a strange unknown toxic berry. Mostly, she saw it as a way to review her own material, as she didn't actually believe the Danshen would remember any of this or put the information to use. Plus, it kept her occupied until they got to Pallet town.

𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Viridian City 1/3 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐃: Anxious 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐘: Anubis, Anak'su 𝐎𝐎𝐂:
It wasn't long before Viridian City came into view over the horizon. Route one was rather short, allowing Reina little time to actually thing over a plan as to where she was going to go from here. Being new to this region she had to study her map to find the best course to get to Saffron. Stopping her bike once in the city, she searched over her map, noting a cave nearby. Taking her bike all that way was going to be tough. In truth she knew keeping her bike was going to be a challenge. Unova was covered in roads mostly, which was one reason she choose there for a vacation, but Kanto... Seemed riddled with roads. "We're going to have to find a garage at some point to keep ole' Jacque, safe." Reina muttered. She loathed thinking about it, Jacque was almost like an extension of herself, her child in mechanical skin. Anubis rolled his eyes, he'd always thought her attachment to the motorcycle ridicules. It wasn't like they actually used it a lot back home unless they were forced to chase down a criminal.

Bio / Personality - Anubis has been with Reina since day one. And despite the fact that he hasn't evolved, he adores Reina. It isn't like he hasn't tried. For whatever reason, he's unable to evolve, they've tried everything, but in the end it just hasn't happened. As a result, he gets very upset when others treat him like a baby, or like he can't take care of something because of his size.

Prevents negative Appeal during the opponent's next turn Ember: Quite an appealing move; +4 appeal Poison Gas: Makes audience expect little of other contestants; Reduces the opponent's Appeal by 2 for two rounds
Bio / Personality - Nefret, much like Nepherti was being used in a illegal Pokemon trade. She was forced to use her pheromones to attract male Pokemon, which, given their size compared to females, were worth more money. Reina wasn't actually on a separate case She happened to stumble upon the illegal activity because of it, to which she freed Nefret along with several other Pokemon, Nefret grew attached to Anubis, Reina's partner because he was the first "male" Pokemon she'd encountered that seemed... immune to her 'perfume'. She's sly and has a sassy mouth, usually getting in fights with Anka often. She however has a soft spot for Anubis and will often adhere to him when he asks her to do something.
Anka the female Froslass - Lv. o5 - Hp: 5o - Held Item: N/A Ability: Cursed Body - 3/1o chance of Disabling any move that makes contact with this Pokémon - Attacks: No Bonus Double Team ♥ Gets the Pokémon pumped up. If the user is already first, no secondary effect Leer: Badly startles Pokémon that the audience has high expectations of; Negative appeal equals one fourth the opponent's battle appeal
Bio / Personality - Anka was a Snorunt when she met Reina. Reina, just promoted to an Inspector was on a case on a series of bank robberies when she came upon the Snorunt, apparently abandoned by the criminals upon during their heist. It was Anka who became detrimental to solving the case, of which she and Reina grew a bond, eventually the Snorunt found a dusk stone and evolved so she could be stronger. However, old habits die hard, and Anka will sometimes steal something, usually jewelry or petty change, but she's quick to confess to Reina and return what she stole.
Nepherti the female Milotic - lv. 1o - Hp: 1oo - Held Item: N/A Ability: Competitive - Boosts the Sp. Atk stat when a stat is lowered - Attacks: No Bonus Refresh ♥♥ Prevents the user from being startled one time this turn. Water Pulse ♥♥♥ Makes audience expect little of other contestants; -2 to opponent's appeal for two turns; no excitement till end of turn Water Gun ♥♥♥♥ Quite an appealing move; +2 Excitement Wrap ♥♥♥ Temporarily stops the crowd from growing excited; Stops the crowd from gaining any excitement for the remainder of the turn
Refresh: Prevents the user from being startled one time this turn; +2 Appeal. Prevents negative Appeal during the opponent's next turn Water Pulse: Makes audience expect little of other contestants; Reduces the opponent's Appeal by 2 for two rounds Water Gun: Quite an appealing move; +4 appeal Wrap: Temporarily stops the crowd from growing excited; Nullifies all + Appeal moves
Bio / Personality - Nepherti has been with Reina since she was a rookie cop. The naive rookie was on a case against some Pokemon Smugglers, where she came across Nepherti, forced to evolve for her scales, as she wasn't a normal coloured Milotic, even by shiny standards. She lived for a few weeks at a sanctuary, but ever since Reina rescued her she knew she was meant to be with her. Nepherti is kind and very protective of all things smaller than her, and by her size standards, she's bigger than nearly everything. She doesn't like people touching her tail however (The Hexagon designed part of her body) She also doesn't understand her own strength.
Anak'su the female Snivy - Lv. o5 - Hp: 5o - Held Item: N/A Ability: Contrary - Inverts stat modifiers, causes all effects that would lower a stat to increase it instead, and vice versa. Attacks - No bonus Tackle ♥♥♥♥ Quite an appealing move; +2 Excitement Leer ♥♥ Badly startles Pokémon that the audience has high expectations of; -4 from the pokemon with the highest score
Tackle: Quite an appealing move; +4 appeal Leer: Badly startles Pokémon that the audience has high expectations of; Negative appeal equals one fourth the opponent's battle appeal
Bio/Personality - Breed and raised in the professor's lab, this anxious young Snivy has awaited the many days before it became the partner to a trainer. She has a very gun-ho attitude, and is very eager to meet new people and make friends. She is quiet the opposite of her brothers and sisters, who all share the simular trait of being smug, belittling everything. First impression of Reina is wavy. She likes her so far.
Ra the feminine Articuno - Lv. 1o - Hp: 1oo - Held Item: N/A Ability: Snow Cloak - This Pokémon's Evasion Rises by one stage in a Hailstorm . Attacks - No bonus Gust ♥♥ Badly startles the last Pokémon to act before the user; -4 Appeal to the pokemon that went previously Powder Snow ♥♥♥♥ Quite an appealing move; +2 Excitement Mist ♥ Prevents the user from being startled until the turn ends.
Gust: Badly startles the last Pokémon to act before the user; Does -4 Appeal to the opponent Powder Snow: Quite an appealing move; +4 appeal Mist: Prevents the user from being startled until the turn ends; +2 Appeal. Prevents Appeal drop for two turns
Bio/Personality - There isn't much to know about Ra, save she has a very unique look. She was likely captured to be sold at a high price to some good-for-nothing Pokemon collector.
'Reina, I don't think we need to abandon this bike right this moment.' Anubis pouted. They'd been searching all over the city for a decent garage, but every last one seemed rather skeezy. It didn't help that she didn't know the currency exchange rates around this country, which was another reason she'd chosen Unova. The tanned woman leaned forward on the bars of her bike, biting at the inside of her lip. They were at a high vantage point, letting them see over much of the city. "Yea, I guess you're right." Reina replied. The only place she was really worried about was the cave they'd pass through before reaching their destination. Pulling off her glasses, she slid on her helmet and tucked the glasses back into an inner pocket of her jacket. "We'll just take'em as far as he can go." Kicking up the kickstand, a single rev of the engine echoed into the dusk air before the sound of Jacque's motor followed.

Stopping back inside the city one last time, Reina picked up a few snacks and supplies before setting forth. She was warned about the Viridian Forest, about how it was a natural maze. Reina wasn't the least bit worried. She'd traveled through jungles so thick the trees created literal walls to block paths and make many disoriented. If it wasn't for her parents, she'd of gotten lost back then. These days, plane old woods didn't scare her. They did mention there was a semi-cleared path, meaning so long as she stayed on that path she'd eventually find her way out on the other side. For now Route 2's vast expanse was first on her list.

Azalea paused from her lecture, looking down at Gloriosa. "You sure that you didn't sustain some kind of brain damage in that fight back in the forest?" Azalea asked, quirking a brow as the danshen continued to stare at her intently. It had looked like the butterfree missed when it swooped down at her, but Glori had rarely sat completely still at full attention, so the idea that her restless nature had been set aside just to listen to Azalea talk for half an hour about things she wasn't liable to understand was... Peculiar to Az. "Maybe you scrambled your brains or something when you tried that psychic attack. We'd better get it checked out." Azalea suggested, redirecting Jasmine towards the pokemon center.
It wasn't like she had a particular fondness for the hairball or anything. She'd simply spent far too much of her valuable time getting the egg and "corrupting" it with negative energy, and she didn't want her little monstrosity to go getting injured on her or something and ruining everything. "Hey Joy." Azalea picked Gloriosa up and flung the furball at her face, smirking as Joy squeaked in surprise and scrambled to catch the fluffy pokemon. "Take a look at that, would ya? I think it's brains are scrambled or somethin'." She insisted. "Ma'am, I'm going to ask that you please not throw your pokemon in here, or anywhere, really!" The nurse insisted with a disapproving frown, but Azalea waved her concerns. "C'mon. She's fine, I think. If she isn't, it's only because she went and taunted that butterfree like an idiot." Azalea insisted with a shrug, folding her arms behind her head and laying back down on Jasmine.

Aʟᴇxᴀɴᴅᴇʀ R. L ᴀ ᴢ ᴜ ʟ ɪ aceaceacaaatt
Alex woke up, mumbled, "Just five more minutes,", rolled over, and went back to sleep. Again.
Chica stared at her trainer. She was pretty sure humans weren't supposed to sleep this long. At one point, she had run out to catch some food and brought back a little snake she found and tried stuffing it along with some berries in his mouth.
The snake shocked Alex until his hair stood on end but he didn't wake up at all. Chica nodded- of course, she had tried shocking him awake already. She ignored the snake slithering down into his collar, not really caring about it anymore. The berries just fell out of her trainer's mouth, slightly mushed.
She had almost given up when Alex finally opened his eyes. He was slow at first, sleepily patting the bedsheets. "Hmm...guuu...bwah?" He cracked his eyes open, peering at the empty bed as if he expected something to be there. His hair stood up in disordered tufts, ad the dopey look stayed on his face until Chica slapped it off him. [ "Finally! Now get your butt off the bed!" ]
Alex, because he had no idea what Chica was saying, patted the little pichu on the head, then flopped back and rolled over. [ "Oh no you don't!" ] Chica zapped him, which set the little snake still hiding in the poor boy's pajamas to wriggling and squiggling and- "Ah! Wah! Hooey! I'm up I'm up!"[/n] Alex tumbled from the bed, twitching and flailing. The snake poked its head out his shirt's collar. Alex stared at it, going crosseyed. "Hi," said Alex. "Sssskkk," said the snake. Then it's tongue flicked out and booped Alex on the nose. [ "GREETINGS, HUMAN" ]
Alex sneezed, and the snake startled back under his collar. "Chicaaaaaaa," Alex moaned, sure that this was somehow the pichu's fault. He reached out for her, and she zapped him. Alex bolted upright, hair sticking out even more hapharzardly, eyes wide. "Okay oay I'm up I'm up!"
It was then that he realized he was the only one in the room. "Uhhhm. Jin? Sable? ...Darren?" Alex checked under the beds, just to make sure they weren't all playing a joke on him. Chica piped up, [ "They all left, you lazy bum!" ]. Alex patted her on the head. "Haha, you're so cute Chica." The pichu croassed her little arms and huffed, puffing out her cheeks.
It took a half hour of Chica poking and prodding to get Alex up, dressed, and ready to leave. After all, he may have been awake, but without outside interference Alex was very good at being awake but not up. He was also very good at going back to sleep.
Alex was also moping a bit, sad his new friends had left without him. Never mind that they tried to wake him up, and really had no choice but to leave him there. But Alex was pretty used to being forgotten or left behind, so by the time he was cheerfully munching on cereal in the cafeteria he had convinced himself of all the reasons why it made sense he'd been left behind and he really wasn't bothered at all.
"That was so fun last night Chica. I haven't had a pillow fight in forever!" He hummed. Actually, he had never really had a pillow fight where the other person fought back instead of catching the pillow and telling him to, 'Go to sleep, master Alexander".
"Mmph. Hey Chhika, whath did-" Alex cut off when Chica slapped a paw to stop his disgusting open-mouthed chewing. Alex obediantly finished his cereal before continuing. "What did you do with that little snake guy?"
Chica suddenly looked a little nervous. The way she looked to the side was almost guilty. [ "It....just appeared....don't know where it went..." ] She eyed the collar of his shirt, preeeetty sure that the little thing was still in there, somewhere. She coughed delicately into a paw.
Alex was very proud of how high his eyebrow went, he had practiced in the mirror because Anderson was really good at it. "Are you su- yahaowwiee!" Alex yipped, hopping into the air as the snake in question sent him a friendly little shock. It's little pocked out of the back of his collar. [ "I AM THE NIGHT." ]Flick flick went his tongue. Its head dipped back out of sight.
"Chica, I found him!" Alex spun around in a circle, like a dog with a toy taped to the back of its head. "Hey- hey hey, where'd he go?" He could feel the little guy wriggling down towards his waist. Clearly this was something that he would need help with. "Nurse Joy! Nurse Joy!" Alex cried out, rushing to the counter and slapping his hands down, like he saw in a movie once. There was someone else there but he was pretty sure that if he waited in line first it wouldn't have the right effect. He gathered up his best Serious Voice. "I need your help with the snake in my pants."
At their abandoned table, Chica slapped her face.

The poor nurse wasn't exactly sure what she had just gotten into. First Azalea had thrown pokemon at her, now this boy was demanding her help with--what? She stared at Alex, a bit of color touching her cheeks in bewilderment. "I'm sorry, I don't think I.... er... Are your parents around...?" The pinkette looked around desperately while holding onto Gloriosa. It took Azalea a moment to register that this dope had not only cut her in line, but seemed to be hitting on the nurse in the most comical manner she had ever seen. It took guts. That or the guy really did have a snake pokemon in his clothes and was absolutely clueless. Maybe both? Azalea could have sworn she'd seen a little black snoot poke its head out of Alex's collar.
Sitting up on Jasmine, Azalea stared at the taller male. "Yo, snake charmer. You're doing this all wrong. Gotta be more subtle, you dig?" Azalea smirked at how uncomfortable this seemed to be making the nurse. Meanwhile, Glori wiggled out of Nurse Joy's grasp and onto the counter, using her psychic energy to lift the noodle out of Alex's clothes. "Shen!" She cried, and Nurse Joy breathed a slight sigh of relief. "There. Problem solved. Good job Glori." The fluffball hopped back onto Azalea's stomach and emitted a sort of purring, cooing noise as she closed her eye contentedly. "Don't think this gets you out of your checkup, ya little psychedelic turd." Azalea poked Glori's side accusingly but she sank herself further into the folds of Azalea's jacket stubbornly, and Azalea didn't have the energy to fight her. "Fine, but don't come crying to me if you suffer any brain damage."

Alex tilted his head, why would she ask if his parents were around? "No, but this snake is!" He replied. "Besides, I need your help. I mean I bet it'll shock you, but you're good at this kinda stuff right?" He tried to look serious like a character on TV, but it was difficult to prevent the instinctive puppy-dog eyes.
He turned to the girl who he'd cut in line solely because patiently waiting in line would've totally ruined the 'serious emergency need help' thing he was going for. "Subtle? What do you mean? There's nothing subtle about this guy, let me tell you!" Alex glanced down at himself and wiggled his hips for emphasis.
"When I woke up this morning, it was-" Alex cut off with a yelp as the snake suddenly spasmed. The boy twitched as it was lifted out into the air.
The snake wriggled. [ "WHAT SORCERY IS THIS." ] Little wings flicked in and out from his sides, before he was set down on the counter. The moment he felt gravity return he curled into a protective coil.
"Woah, that was so awesome! You got it!" Alex grinned from Nurse Joy to Azalea and her little fluffball. "How'd you do that? You have the coolest pokemon? It's so fluffy looking, can I pet it? None of my pokemon are fluffy, but Chica shocks me when I try to pet her and then I feel all tingly and that's kinda like when you pet something soft."
He didn't notice at all as the snake slipped to the floor and began slithering towards his leg. [ "Oh NO you don't!" ] Chica slapped her paw down on its tail.
The snake reared on her. [ "UNHAND ME." ] he exclaimed before flinging himself at her, wrapping around the pichu. Chica squeaked in alarm and tried to shock him, but that just caused the snake to chuckle in amusement. [ "Ahhh get offfff egt offfgetfss offff!" ]
Alex watched happily. "Look, they're playing! Guess I'll have to catch it and bring it with us."

Azalea wished she had been recording this. She'd have to tell Gray later. He'd totally get a kick out of it. Nurse Joy was completely speechless as Alex went on and on, each line getting worse than the last out of context. Azalea advised him not-so-seriously to be more subtle and it only egged him on more. "Shhhh kid. I meant keep it in your pants." Azalea smirked. Unfortunately, Gloriosa cut the hilarity short by pulling the klow out of Alex's clothes and revealing it as the snake which Alex was referring to.
"She is pretty cool, and very fluffy. Go ahead and pet her all you want." Azalea agreed, smiling subtly with a small sense of satisfaction as Alex insisted Glori was the coolest. She actually had no idea what Glori would do if Alex tried petting her, but she was more than interested in the possible results. The scientist in her wanted to see just how unstable Glori was.
The unruly snake quickly wrapped himself around the boy's pichu when she stopped him from going up into Alex's clothes again, and Azalea actually had the mind to start filming now, recording the pichu flailing around with the snake on her face. She then turned the device towards Alex as he cooed about the two playing and cut the recording off. "It certainly seems to like you. I do too. You're alright. What's your name, kid?" Azalea smiled and sent the recording to Gray with no context.
