(Your last post was really colorful, Bella. It kind of made me sick. xp ) Rai gave up. There was no use trying to use something that wasn't there. Maybe the good doctor made a mistake with him, and he actually did not have powers. Rai smiled at that. There was a possiblity that he was not a freak. Then again, maybe being a freak was the only way to survive. Rai dropped his smile at this new thought. He would get murdered in the so called school if he had nothing to bring to the table. No time to worry about this now. Rai got on all four and crawled back to Hal, trying his hardest not to bump into anything. After a few seconds, and a few bruises, he made it back to Hal.

Kiri smiled as she felt her power hit the guards and throw them back a bit. THis caused some confusion and a few of the gurads actually went and attacked the guards beside them.
'Oh ya I'm all powerful. The whole room is shadows. This battle field is mine.'
Rushing foward throught he confusion Kiri had to duck and roll as out of the corner of her eye she spotted a piece of glass coming at her as another sliced her arm open a bit.
'Damn I'm close to Dawn and Alice's fight. Which means that Gerard should be over here.'
Moving silently and spearding her shadow out like a net as she felt it hit things and tried to figure out what they were.
Kiri could feel a headache coming as she pulled on her power but knew she had to force her power to work as it got weaker and this caused the headache to worsen.
'Come on baby, you don't want that b*****d to control you now you do? We AR the shadow, we ARE the mist, we CAN'T be controled.'
Find someone of Gerard's build Kiri slipped in that direction prepared to make him her first known death.
(Yes she's starting to think that the shadows she controls are beings and talking to them. All I have to say to that is....she's crazy.)

((Haha sorry I was playing with the gradient tool xd it amuses me. Is this better? Oh and I apologize for the craptastic post. )) Gerard felt the guards form a line in front of him. Chaos had erupted from the dining hall. The remote still clutched in his hand. He looked down at his hand, the lights on the remote still visible. For a moment his hand hovered over the yellow button at the top. Cowardice was making his decisions now. He had misjudged the situation, again. And now he had to use the easy way out before one of the students succeeded in their attacks. Gerard's finger punched the yellow button, the override button. Dawn was released from her hellish mind prison. Meanwhile the Dr. made a break for it. "Get everyone in their dorms by any means necessary. And bolt the doors." Gerard said through gritted teeth, disgusted at these desperate measures. The guard in front of him nodded once. "Yes Sir." He replied in the same militant tone. Gerard made quick of his chance to get away. Nearing the door he felt a slight breeze and flinched as glass embedded itself in the wall next to him. He needed to re think his strategy that was for sure. Willing the fingerprint scanner to go faster, he exited the dining hall through the privet door and proceeded to his study, now with a new purpose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alice could feel the power draining from her quickly, but Dawn's was too. She could feel the attacks weaken more and more. Glancing across the room she spotted a dark line of figures of where Gerard was. He was hiding. "Coward." Alice muttered, her rage flaring once more. Behind the front line of guards, she could see the retreating figure of the doctor. Knowing she would probably regret it later, she sent the vortex of glass right at him, finishing off her powers. Too bad she missed. Damn. With out the glass, she was left wide open for attacks, but she now realized that the attacks had stopped. He must had let Dawn go. Alice's eyes searched for Dawn, but she couldn't see her. Clink. The sound made Alice look down just as a plume of smoke enveloped around her making her cough and gasp for air. The metallic clink came from a can of sleeping gas. Seems like the fun was over. All through the dining hall more clinks followed, as well as more coughing. Attempting to resist the gas Alice crawled forward to were Jack's body was. He was still unconscious, and bleeding, but not badly. "Jack.." She choked out as the gas continued to fill the air. Her body suddenly felt like it was made from lead. Her arms and legs no longer able to support her. Alice collapsed against the cold hard floor of the dining hall. Fighting to stay awake, but she knew it was useless. Eventually the suffocating mass of sleeping gas won. And she was out. (( Wow yet another craptastic post....awesome -__-. ))

(Eh, not that craptastic. But thanks for clearing things up!)
Sean watched intently, his eyes now adjusted to the almost complete darkness that enveloped them all. His heart was eager for this chaos, although he knew it all must come to the end. As he heard the clinks above his head and faintly the soft spray of gas into the room he sighed, speak of the devil. He saw the fight break apart earlier before but the gas had broken his concentration of it. He remembered seeing the doctor running down one of those corridors though, and the guards had scattered. Well I could get out of the gas...or die...eh, what's life without living large? he thought as he got up. He looked back after a couple steps to motion to Tylor to follow suit if he so chose. Sean used the scarf he always wore and wrapped it tightly around his mouth, it wasn't too thick so it wouldn't suffocate him but it also wasn't too thin to allow large amounts of gas through. It wouldn't hold more than a few minutes. Sean began to jostle through the panicking patients, and occasionally guards, before he found the corridor Gerard had gone down. He heard more and more clinks issue and he broke into a sprint. He soon found Gerard against the wall, a broken piece of glass was reflecting the emotions across his face. Sean smiled, there was a false resolution, the doctor wasn't entirely sure of himself anymore. Before Gerard could look his way, Sean ducked into a threshold, letting the darkness cover most of his body. He waited to see what the doctor would do.

By the time Thorn realized what was going on, she again became enraged at the man. "COWARD; come back and fight like a man! Stop getting your guards to do your dirty work, you filthy animal! Stop hiding behind your precious widdle remote and grow some-oh dang, that hit just missed me.." the former co-leader screeched and mocked in a obviously-PO'd pitch that made even her own hairs stand on end, as the man made his escape. He was a coward, a fool. But this also meant he underestimated them. This could be to her advantage. She also noted the button the man had pushed on the remote that turned off the mind control; yellow, and at the top of the remote.
The last sentence had been cut off unexpectedly though, as she barely dodged something that hurled passed her. A can-oh crap, sleeping gas. Not good. Before the gases could consume her, she took in a deep breath and looked about, til she noticed waht looked like a vent in the wall; perfect, an escape route! Since the door had shut, bolted, and locked and all.
Grabbing her book, she made her way to it and began using what was left of her strength to rip out the screws; she will NOT be taken by these jerks! Finally removing the final one and almost out of energy, she stuck the book down ehr shirt, then went back and grabbed a couple of what looked like rolls. She dumped water on them both, wrapped them in napkins, and also used her apparently new storage unit to hold both her drink and food. She then wiggled her way inside the small space, and began seeing where it would lead. She also left it open, so the others (but not the guards; too big to fit) could get through in case it lead somewhere safe.
((If there's no vent, let me know and I'll edit my post.))

((Hah thanks Irish. Yeah I dont know what my deal is..my posts have been less than satisfactory lately. And Sora, the vent idea is fine, it will make things interesting. But for now lets have you be the only one that escapes. Oh and Irish, did your character follow Gerard into the corridor?))

~*~*~*~*~* Draconis shivered, trying not to let the anxiety get to him too much. Panic attacks would not be good right now. He was about to crawl towards the door when he heard an odd clink. What was that? Several clinks followed after that, and then he heard something akin to a Coke can being opened. Something smelled... oh, no! Gas bombs of some sort! He assumed it was sleeping gas because really, what else could it be? Whatever it was, twas no bueno. He threw his arm over his face, across his nose and mouth. He knew it wouldn't do any good against the penetrating gasses, but it allowed him time to do a mental check before he was taken.
Keys are in my pocket, hair is back, in the cafeteria next to Felicia, chaos... gas bombs... His frantic thoughts were becoming more and more fogged as the sleeping gas filled his lungs. His head felt like it weighed a ton, causing him to overbalance and fall to the side. His muscles... why wouldn't they work? He could sort of flex his fingers, but couldn't get the muscles in his throat to work. He opened his mouth to say something to Felicia, saying what he did not know, but something. It felt as if his nerves had gone numb, his mind filled with fog... slowly, the edges of his peripheral vision blurred and started blacking out... light spots filling his consciousness... Don't... touch me... was the last thought that went through his groggy head before he was forced to succumb to the gas, forced out of his consciousness, grey eyes falling closed.
(( Your posts are never craptastic! Rather, they are quite awesometastic! ))

Brynn Syvra saw the gas coming, saw it break. It reminded her of so many times when the police tried to sting her operation that she held her breath without really thinking. She used to laugh when she escaped the police, but this wasn't funny. She couldn't laugh as she ran. This was a matter of her freedom. She whipped her head around, trying to find a way out. She saw Thorn dive into a vent and decided to follow. The people around her were wilting like flowers. She had a chance to grab one person, Hal, and shove her almost unconscious body through the vent before following herself. The effort of lifting Hal and throwing her in made her take a little breath and she was almost gone herself. She pushed Hal ahead of her and crawled in just far enough so that the guards could neither reach nor see her. Then she passed out.

L went down like a deranged drunk as he saw Thorn scatter off and the pain-y chick drag Hal off into the vent as well. Grabbing a couple of guards as they rushed around, he threw one down and ripped off his mask which kept him from succumbing to the gas himself. He was immediately ceased and a couple of punches fused with the gaseous substance filling his body had him out like a light. Well, he wasn't full unconscious just yet, he was being dragged off by his arms as he thrashed about weakly and looked in the direction the girls had escaped too and sighed before his eyes closed tight.
Time was something L never kept track of regardless, but it was some time before he was awake again and inside his dorm again. He looked around as he lay sprawled in the center of the floor, the beast-men not having the decency to at least toss him onto his bed. What if he caught a cold?! Oh yeah...like that was anywhere relevant in their minds after what transpired there, he sighed in defeat as he looked at the bruises on his forearms from being assaulted so viciously and cringed a bit as he brought his shirt up to reveal abrasions across his abdomen as well. "Well, this is quite the howdy doo...monkey men attacking poor L like he was a bad boy. Momma always said protect the girlies, even if they need it not. That's what I get for having a momma that wants Allie to be a good boy...feh." he murmured to himself as he moved towards his box of home items.
Pulling his bag of computer parts from his pocket, a hole was poked in it from when he was moving about so recklessly and he drew out another chip. "Careful...Hallie...Painie...Thornie..." he mumbled in an infantile tone before pulling out a book from his box. It wasn't labeled and it wasn't bookmarked, he had no clue what it was even until he opened it and read the first few lines of it for a bit and bit his lip. "This...this is..."

Rai saw the gas cans come in. Rai took a deep breath, then proceeded to run to the far side of the room. It would only be a matter of time before he also fell to the gas. In his corner, he saw the escape attempt. One, That girl who looked familiar was escaping through the air vents. Rai beamed at the girl as she escaped. She was smart. Rai was going to move towards it, but then he froze. What if the good doctor had the vents monitered. This was a place meant to keep kids with powers inside of course. It would be best to stay and try to take out the guards, like the crazy kid was doing. Rai follwoed him silenlty, trying to exert the least amount of energy. Rai then saw someone he thought he would never see again. It was Chat, his old guard friend. Rai looked at him in the eyes and told him what he needed. "Give me your mask, now." Surprisingly, Chat did just that. All of a sudden, a splitting headache came on. Rai grabbed the mask and threw it on, then fell to the ground cringing in pain.

"Let us make our exit, I hope you brought the escape rope, I spent all my money on rare candies."
Chaos always made Tylor say crazy things, usually references to video games like the reference to Pokémon he just made. He followed Sean and kept his powers on full alert, trying to see into the future at key moments to avoid being forced back into his dorm. Tylor stopped following however the gas was affecting his mind and he wanted to escape from it. Using his mouth to try to block some of it, Tylor abandon Sean and tried going the opposite way to escape the crowd. Using his strength ironically given by the good doctor, Tylor started moving and tossing people out of his way only using his right hand.
"That fool, he wanted to lead me to the edge of the storm, but I want to get out."
Tylor made his way to the wall and pressed his body against it to make getting through the mobs quicker. Once he reached a point on the wall, Tylor noticed a vent along the wall. He climbed in, ripping his shirt as a guard tried to grab him. Using his unnatural strength, Tylor kicked the guard, but the guard's own powers caused his face to match Tylor's shoe print exactly like silly putty or some of goo like substance. Still, the guard was fazed and knocked out, allowing Tylor to continue through the vent. It was hard for a tall guy like Tylor to go through a small space like this, so his progress was very slow. Hopefully no one else tried to make it through the vent behind him or they would have to go at his pace. His escape was delayed when something blocked his path in the vents. It was a person for sure, but she didn't seem awake.
"Hey...Wake up! Damn, hell of a place to take a nap."
Tylor was stuck now, this girl needed to wake up or he couldn't continue on; unless he forced her to move. He didn't really wanted to push at her till she woke up, he might accdiently touch a inapropriate spot if he did.

((Oh good, you caught that Brynn was sleeping, Minron; I was just about to mention it.
And woah, lots of people took the escape route; didn't expect that. sweatdrop So I shall BS where this vent leads! xd ))
Thorn continued to wedge herself further into the vent, noting noises behind her, but noting that there were no shouts, that could only mean that they were fellow prisoners. She secretly hoped that Shakespere had followed (she felt kinda bad for just leaving him there, but one moment longer and she wouldn't been able to help anyone, much less herself). She promised to herself that if he didn't make it into the airvent, whenever she got out of this hell, she'd come back for him and apologize for not taking him with her, then take him to that club she mentioned earlier; the women all over him gave her the best mental picture ever. After all, she owed him now for pulling her back out of harm's way; not something she saw often in men back in town. If anyone back in the city did that, they wanted somethin from you; Shakespere did it out of concern, making him.............strangely pure.
Oh well, anyways, she was gonna help them all out of this, one way or another, which would include the funny boy anyways. Hal, and Brynn, and Da-
Suddenly the ground had vanished from beneath her, and she shrieked in surprise.
"EEEEEEEEKK!" Splash!
Sputtering for a moment, she sat up as she now looked at her new surroudings, clearing her throat of water. It looked like some sort of sewer type thing, but it was mostly dried out spare a few large puddles, one being the one she landed in. The ground was soft and muddy, and about her there were brick low walls. Remembering the voices behind her, she moved out of teh way, and decided out of hte spur of the moment to give warning.
But first, seh laughed; she laughed so hard, despite her now muddy clothes nad the stuff still down her shirt. Even if she were caught within the next 5 seconds, it didn't matter; she had outfooled the fool again, no matter what way you looked at it.
Oh yeah, I SO RULE! What NOW, Doctor Dumbutt!!! she thought to herself in glee.
But back to business.
"HEY! Heads up, fellow X-men...and X-women, of course! You drop out into a sewer into a small puddle of water, so expect to drop soon!" she called up, trying to keep her voice somewhat quiet. Hey, at least that water was obviously clean that she landed in, so it wasn't sewer crap.......ew. That would've been just gross, even for her standards.
"Let's see who else the cat dragged in..."

((omigosh kitty rofl rofl rofl rofl doctor dumbutt?! xd that was the best! i wasn't expecting that!))
Brynn Syvra didn't want to wake up. She was groggy at best, but she heard somebody behind her and he was talking to her. She shook her head and turned her face to him and said, "I've got a passed out girl in front of me and I'll try to push her, but I breathed some in when I threw her in here." Brynn Syvra took a breath to clear her head and then started pushing Hal forward. She stopped when she heard Thorn. She called ahead. "X-woman, I mean, Freeze or whatever, Hal's unconscious and she's in front of me. I barely managed to get both of us in here. Catch her!" With that, she pushed ahead. She heard the boy behind her following.

(( xd
Of course, now that I look at it again, I spelled it wrong. It needed another b to make sense. xd ))
"Alright; send her down!" Thorn called; ah, so both Brynn and Hal jumped in at the last minute. Very daring, but it was hard to find options in that hell-hole other than just passing out. As Hal dropped out of the vent, Thorn ran to her and caught her, preventing her from hitting the ground, yet now her shoes were soaked completely.
"Got her! Come on down!" she called, as the co-leader went to the wall and sat Hal against it, as she waited for the others to follow in. If there was anyone other than Brynn.
