"Why though?" Kazuki tilted his head almost with a drained sigh. Did Ari really think that low of him? Did he really think he would cheat on his mate? He almost what to grumble and sigh annoyed but he held it in hoping that Ari would be able to explain himself.
"And lets head home whil you explain this.." Kazuki tried to not sound annoyed but he failed as per usual. He walked past Ari and ahead of him but stopped to wait.

Glancing to the left, right, up at the sky, down at the ground, anywhere but at Kazuki, and feeling his face turn redder than a clown's nose with embarrassment, Ari explained. Or tried to.
"Well..." He tried pawing at the ground nervously, and nearly tripped. That didn't work quite so well when you were walking.
He settled for swishing his tail a bit, but just a bit, knowing he would probably end up hitting something in this state if he wasn't careful.
"Well..." he tried again. "You see..." Pathetic. Why couldn't he explain himself? Kazuki was his mate, they were together for life. Kazuki should be the one person he should be trusting with this.
Even if it was pretty stupid and embarrassing.
Waiting wasn't helping. Maybe it was his imagination (he wouldn't know, he was still pointedly not looking at Kazuki, not wanting to know what his mate thought) but he thought Kazuki was staring at him.
Which was probably true. He was acting guilty. Or insane. Or maybe both.
"It's..." Another pause. Oh, Moon Fox. Starting and stopping was getting him no where.
Yet he was still doing it.
"I'd gotten so used to spending all of my time with you," Ari addressed the trees as he spoke. "It just felt...weird, to not have you around. So I wanted to go find you." That part to the sky, where the moon was covered by trees, but still shone through the branches.
Ari started to glance over at Kazuki, decided he didn't want to know, and looked down instead, staring at his feet, trying to focus all his attention on them. Maybe he should get some rings. Or tattoos for them. Or something.
Trying to think about mods wasn't really helping distract him, though. He was still wondering (and fearing) what Kazuki would say or do now.

Kazuki actually had to stop to watch his mate. He couldnt help chuckle slightly His mate was cute when all flustered but it was more then usual that is. His mate was always cute. Though he never remembered seeing him so flustered like this. Though he couldnt help feel surpised when finally Ari spoke the entrie story. At this point he laughed and shook his head.
"Ari..you silly fox..." Kazuki went over and licked his mates cheek. He was still chuckling a bit.
"By the Moon Fox, is that all it was?" He nuzzled his mate affectionatly sighign in relief that, that was all that it was. He was just so happy he felt the need t be affectionate. Plus his mate was sooo adorable all flusted he couldnt help feel the need to be close to him.

"Yeah," Ari mumbled to his feet, still feeling embarrassed about the whole thing.
He really couldn't wait to get back to Lunarie lands and maybe forget this whole thing had happened. That Anjafey had attacked a kit.
And that Tanith and her daughter had both hit on him.
That last one especially.
Ari shuddered. Females.

Kazuki wanting to cheer hsi mate up whispered somethign into his hear that made even Kazuki blush and hopefully Ari.
"So lets go home.." He grinned and skipped ahead a bit still blushing quite a bit. Then he looked away unable to look at his mate hoping hewould quickly follow.

Ari blushed at what Kazuki said alright.
"We'll be there soon, at least," Ari mumbled. It hadn't taken that long for them to leave the Lunarie borders and meet up with Tannith, and they had already been walking for a while. So they should be getting back to the tribe lands very soon now.

"Mhm not hurry up slow poke!" Kazuki laughed waiting for Ari to catch up then walking beside him. He swirled his tail aroudn Ari's and kept it there as they walked. He felt happy for some reason . Though he dreaded facing Anjafey. He hoped it would all go well. Or so he hoped.

"And what if I want to take my time? Waiting for something just makes it that much better." Ari grinned impishly, then he picked up the pace.
"And you're the one who needs to hurry!" he called behind to Kazuki. "Last one back to the tribe is a rotten egg!" It was only around his mate that he could relax, and give into his less serious side. One of the many, many reasons why he loved Kazuki.
((We could time skip past the...awkwardness.))

Kazuki laughed and chased after his mate quickly catching up. It was during these times he felt like a true kit. When he had been a kit he was a lot more serious and never really spoke out much but ever since he got closer to Ari things had changed.

Ari raced across the tribe border, glad to be away from those Kana foxes, glad to finally be home, glad to be here with Kazuki. Just the two of them...
"It's good to be back," Ari commented, slowing his pace to a walk once he was back on Lunaire lands.
