He was taken aback by that. She wanted to care about him? That wasn't something that he was use to someone saying. He blinked and sat there thinking for aminute. He hadn't realized he had gone quiet. "Oh... Sorry. No. I've never had friends before."
"Being friends sounds nice.." He added quickly.

She had been scared when he was silent, sad that he hadn’t wanted to be friends. She understood how he felt though, she didn’t have any friends; he was the first Ulaya she had ever met. But that sadness quickly turned to happiness when he said that being friends would be nice. “Really?!” She gave him a bear hug. “That means you are my first friend!”

He was taken aback from her hugging him. Again, he wasn't use to this. Infact, he hadn't had another creature touch him unless he was eating it. He blinked. "Oh.... You are my first friend aswell."
He was sure she had more friends then him. He smiled down at her.

“Oh this is so exciting!” Although he didn’t hug her back, she was happy he wanted to be friends. She felt like skipping! “I am so happy! I have a friend.” Taking a step back, she looked up into his face and noticed he was smiling. Taking this as a good sign, she grinned right back at him.

Hakim continued to smile. It wasn't like he would make friends that fast. Well, why would he? If she knew how crazy he was, he was sure she wouldn't be his friend. It was something he was hoping would never show up.
"Don't get too excited, you might accidently hurt yourself." he said calmly. He had no idea how to act. Was he suppose to freak out like her? Or just sit here and smile? He decided it would be best to not start jumping around. Maybe that was just a girl thing?

Ambrosia heard what he said, and started calming down, taking in deep breathes to try and stop the sudden adrenaline. And she was thirsty, again. She walked over to the river and took a long gulp of the ice cold water.
While taking a drink she looked down into the water She leaned in closer, her nose was almost touching the water, and noticed fish swimming along with the fast current. She jumped back in surprise when one came rushing up, not even noticing that at that point she had put her whole head underwater, and slapped her in the face with its tail. She looked back to were Hakim was sitting smiling, and smiled back.

Hakim watched the fish and stood up to make sure that Ambrosia wouldn't fall in. The streen wasn't big, but it was still kind of deep for her. "Oh... A fish." He said calmly as he watched another swim around. He felt like he was being like a dad or something. Though, he didn't want her to get hurt.

“A evil fish! It hit me!” Ambrosia glared with all her might at the fish swimming around, probably happy it had hit her. At this point, she wanted nothing more than to go after the evil fish and hit it. To bad she couldn’t swim. A thought then occurred. She turned to Hakim, “Can you swim?”

"You want the fish?" He asked in return instead of answering the question. He didn't know if he could or couldn't, but seeing that it wasn't deep he wouldn't need to swim. Just be able to catch a fish. Which would be difficualt. He wasn't a hunter and never tried to catch a fish before.

He looked hesitant at her question, and she shook her head. “Not really, I was just wondering.” She would get that fish another time, some how, some way, she was going to get her revenge! Sighing, she sat down next to the river and lookd up at him, “Can you teach me to swim?”

Hakim blinked. "I.... could try." he paused and eyed the current of the stream. It didn't seem too safe if he took his eye off for a minute. "But, I don't know if I know how to swim." He said again.
It seemed pretty easy. You just move your feet. Some way or another. He could teach her. If not, then he could always drag her back on the bank if something were to happen.

Ambrosia noticed the same hesitation, and him saying he didn’t know how to swim, kind of made her feel like she wasn’t the only one. “I say, we figure out how to swim, or never swim …ever.” The possibility of drowning was there, and it made her feel nervous, but sometimes risks are worth taking.

He nodded. "Well, The water isn't that deep for me, so I'm sure nothing will happen too bad." He said in his calm voice again. He tested the water with his paw. This was strange, he never even thought about going in the water. He looked back at the other before taking two more steps into the water.

She watched him make his way into the water, but until he told her it was okay to get into the river, she thought it on her best interest to stay on land. Plus, the water was cold. Now she was rethinking this whole thing. “Maybe we should do this some other time?” she called out to him, feeling slightly nervous.

He stopped. The water was up to his chest in front, and to his knees on his back leggs. He looked at her and smiled. "You sure?" He asked. It was no problem with him if they did this now, or later. He wasn't nervious, nor did he even know what that was.
