Ari cautiously walked closer to the palace. While the foxes seemed friendly, he wasn't sure how open they were to visitors to the palace. Hopefully they would only politely shoo him away if he wasn't allowed to look around inside it. The last thing he wanted was to get into a fight with these unknown people.
Or, come to think of it, looking around the city and listening to try to understand their culture a bit more was probably a better idea. It would definitely seem less threatening, anyway.
But since he was already in the middle of the palace grounds, Ari waited to see if they would chase him off or not.

Shori was nearing the big stone archway of the castle as he noticed the lower glass paintings of the castle. They had modis of all kinds and colors, even some pictures of the higher beings if indeed they were still around. He found it fascinating, but then his attention turned back to where Shori had walked from. Being so far away from home he didnt like the idea of walking away from Katie in case they got separated.

Nothing seemed to be happening, though. Did they not notice him? He doubted it. Being an elder, he was definitely taller than any other fox there, and they had to notice that. It seemed either they were too scared to chase him off (which he hoped wasn't the case), or they just didn't care.
Ari noticed some other foxes going into the castle, and he wondered if that meant that anyone could go in. Or were those foxes some sort of royalty, and only they could go in?
He went closer to the line of foxes entering the castle, trying to figure out what was going on.
