[August 4th, 2005~]
[We're starting now.]
Gryphon and Guardian both peered up at the ceiling of the second floor sleepily. The two had just returned from a walk to the farther of the more easternward watchtower. The sun was just falling over the horizon, sending its last golden rays through the open windows onto their two forms.
"Tireeedd...."
Sanar clicked, expressing her own exhaustion as the weight shifted as a third body hopped on.
"Hallo 'Oki..." Chao murmured as the Sunchild sat his head on her stomach. She gave him a few affectionate pats before taking the letter he held gently in his mouth.
'Another letter from Anthony....'
Reaching beneath her pillow she pulled out a small, sheathed dagger, cliche but she still felt she needed to be prepared, and slit the paper open. Tucking the dagger safely away again she eased the paper out of its casing.Anthony Blakewell A list of jobs has been compiled for Sanar as follows: Sanar: Herbalist (Medic) 92% Artisan (Weaver) 74% Carer (Nurse) 56% The higher the percentage the higher the natural talent in that area. If you could get back to me to let me know which of these jobs you would like Sanar to do then i'd greatly appreciate it. Anthony Blakewell, Ar'Idil Administrator. "Wow..." Chao murmured as she sat up, looking to Sanar. She had no desire to simply rush into this, from what she could remember from Alyosha's original introduction all those months ago the job an Aerandir choose shaped their life in many ways. "I guess we'll have to think about this, right San?"
The gryphon looked up at her mother and tilted her head, wondering what she was making sound about. With a click she settled down against Loki and shut her eyes.
Laughing quietly Chao nodded to herself and grabbed out her journal, slipping the letter inside, determined to pay her extra attention to her gryphon charge over the next few days in order to make what would, hopefully, be the right decision on her behalf.
August 6th, Eventual Response Dear Anthony, Thank you very much for sending a list of Sanar's career potential. We've thought it over and decided that we think she'd be well suited to be a Weaver. Hopefully our decision will turn out for the best. Thanks again! ~Chao & Sanar

[August 19th, 2005] Backdated! [Here we go.]Letter from Durem To: The currently removed member of our family Twin to Rico the magnificent Guardian of the one called Sanar Probably prancing about in the sunshine and sand Having a wonderful time on a tropical island paradise Dear Aeon and Sanar, It's good to hear from you! You sound like you're in high spirits, which is wonderful. And quiet! You must be so happy for that, though none of us can imagine you're enjoying the tropical weather much if Chae is any indication. ||The writing suddenly changes there are water droplets scattered about the text|| Sanar is beautiful! If she is anything like me I can't imagine you're too bored or life is too quiet [by the by this is Aido writing now, if you hadn't already figured that out.] Also, I do nothing to other peoples? sanity as it is wholly not my fault if you people decide to worry about where I've been. Still, I miss you and I'd love to see Sanar and hopefully someday soon we will be able to visit. The island sounds wonderful and I'd love it if you could send me a few maps of it. ||The handwriting reverts back to the original writer's|| Speaking of younger siblings you are now a second mother to our newest member of the household, Fai. Chae apparently thought his incubator was a very large lava lamp in need of a name and a home. The only explanation is that summer has turned her brain to mush. What this says about you is beyond me. No, do not include some sort of weapon in your next letter as it will hurt the house more than it will myself and we will SU~ ||Another shift and the final letter of what might have been 'sue' is smudged horribly.|| I think I shall be finishing this letter. Hello other me! Next time you will be receiving several letters instead of just one as this is far too confusing. You are awful for not allowing me to send you summer work, you lazy guardian you. It is not my brain that is will turn to mush but yours! Very little has happened here save summer has come to an abrupt end as Fai, our little weather worker, decided to stir up a freak snow storm. I'm happy but Rico's a bit miffed by it. Oh well. Aido's been a bit off lately as well. I'm beginning to think she and Rael are fighting or something, as I haven't seen the shadow beast following her around as much. I'm stuck between letting her work it out on her own or trying to talk to her about it. Any suggestions? We'll be sending along some toys and the like with this letter, I hope Sanar likes them! Love, Chao, Aido, Fai and Rico [A.K.A the Prancing Snowed-In Durem Gang] The mail had arrived earlier that day, the lone letter from home attached to a small box full of gifts.
But, at the moment the letter was not in Chao's hand, where it should have been, but in Sanar's beak as the Gryphon rushed down the sand, hooves kicking up the scratchy sediments which were occasionally was thrown into the pursuing Chao's face when she managed to get too close.
"Sanar!" the frustrated teen called angrily.
Sanar looked back, keep dark eyes taking in the sight of her pursuing guardian- whose legs were longer than her own! No wonder she kept nearly catching her and her prize!
Ruffling her wings in frustration at the teen's advantage the gryphon put on a burst of speed, moving away from the difficult sandy surf towards the green grass.
With a growl of frustration the teen continued her pursuit, groaning as she attempted to track her wards trail through the sea of grass.
The speedy gryphon knew exactly where she was going. She'd been there many times, when the sun was up and when the moon took its place and her bigbeing had never noticed. Why she suddenly started to care when she'd taken the item she currently held in her mouth was beyond her.
Still, she could follow if she wanted to, she just couldn't take the item, it was her's now!
The sun was setting by the time Chao finally caught up to her gryphon charge, the teen was panting and muttering foreign sounding words under her breath before her head came back up and she glared the gryphon who was neatly tucking the letter into a small hoard she'd obviously been collecting and placing safely into the small cave-like hole, dug out of the arc of a hill.
The collection that had already been stored away, including bits of various materials, most partially taken apart, pieces of cloth, shoe laces, paper, and even bits of roof was much more vast than Chao felt comfortable noting.
Sanar clicked in satisfaction and she sat back, seemingly very pleased with herself.
Chao sighed and got a hold of her temper, "so this is where you go off to. Sanar I told you not to wander!" she grumbled, waving a finger at the gryphon who gave her a confused look at the disappointed look. Didn't her bigbeing like her collection?
Chao snatched out the envelope encased letter, shooting a glare towards Sanar as the gryphon protested with several loud clicks as she pawed at the ground. That was her's!
Sitting down the guardian began to read, occasionally having to maneuver herself away from the gryphon who was trying rather hard to get back her item but eventually flopped herself down, slowly tugging a piece of denim apart, watching carefully as the strands unraveled, before the sight of something moving in the grass caught her attention and took her bounding after it.
Chao finished the letter several minutes later, by then Sanar had settled in her lap, occasionally trying to maneuver her neck upwards and get her item back.
"I'll have to write them back..." the slightly homesick guardian murmured before looking to Sanar, "and you. Grah, you have been taking things, I thought I was just misplacing them, or going crazy."
Sanar's ears flickered to press against her head at her bigbeing's tone and she clicked unhappily. Why was her mother so upset?
Chao sighed and decided she was going to have to make a valiant attempt to get her point across correctly or she was doomed to have helpless material stolen from under her nose.
"Sanar when you want things, like a letter or," she held up a piece of cloth that had once been attached to a sleeve, "things like this you should show me, alright?"
The gryphon merely tilted her head, unsure as to what her bigbeing was going on about.
Chao sighed, logic already seizing her thoughts, Sanar was probably just doing what came natural, haeven, she was practically nesting.
Chao rubbed at her temples, removed the actual letter and handed the envelope to the gryphon, "you can have this but not," she held up the letter and made an 'x' with her hands, something she'd managed to communicate as 'no' after an incident with the stove the week before, "this, alright?"
Sanar's ears flickered back to an alert state and she clicked happily at having her item back. Carefully she placed it with the others then trotted back to her mother's side, making no move to take the letter that she held.
"Let's head home, shall we? We can see what they decided to send us, I never did get to look as you shot off with the letter."
Sanar merely clicked a reply as they headed back towards Setone.

[August 24th, 2005] More backdating~ [So free and far away.]
Sanar's hooves clicked easily sharply as she hopped up the stairs, quickly following her bigbeing into the lodge, beak loosely carrying what appeared to be a fairly large amount of lengthy strands of grass with a proud air about her.
"I know I left that print out around here somewhere..." Chao muttered to herself as she poked her head into various rooms, grey eyes searching their contents for the page she'd printed out on making grass bracelets, having decided that it was a good place to start on the rather broad subject of weaving, something she knew very little about anyway. This way Sanar was able to gather the needed materials before Chao set to work showing her how to string them together into something that would, hopefully, be useable.
Suddenly her eyes focused on the note board, grinning as she noticed that someone had pinned it up. "There it is!" she cheered, rushing forward, followed closely by a curious gryphon as she tore the page off, sending the tack flying to the floor.
Sanar's keen eyes immediately attached to the flying object as it sailed through the air. She'd never seen something like that, what was it?? With a click, muffled by the grass still in her beak she quickly trotted back over. Dropping the grass down gently she was about to attempt to pick up the new object when Chao's hand abruptly snapped it upwards and away from her reach.
With a cross click and an unhappy flutter of her wings Sanar glared up at her bigbeing, why'd she taken it away?
"Nu-uh Sanar," Chao said, poking the tack back into the board and making an 'x' with her hands, "that's not something to pick up. Bad, hurt," she put a finger in her mouth and mimed being in pain.
Sanar fluttered her wings again, still unhappy with having the item taking away. It'd been shiny and would've looked nice within her collection....
Chao sighed and ruffled the soft, short fur on Sanar's head, "sorry love, but come on! Let's make..." her words died off as she began reading a tacked up message, eyes skimming over the words, only blinking when Sanar jumped up onto a nearby table to look at the curiously look at the words as well.
"Hrm... we have a jingly bell, don't we San?" Chao muttered, looking to the gryph and miming waving a bell, quietly imitating it's sound.
Sanar tilted her head then seemed to brighten after a moment. Ah! Yes! The shiny noise maker! She's nearly added it to her collection but had forgotten about it when her bigbeing have given her the soft plush to play with.
"Aha, so you do know what it is," Chao replied with a grin, "right then, let's go grab it and send it to this Anakiro," the name was so familiar, did she know this person? "Seems like he and his Tsukai need it for something. We can attach the grass rope after we're done," she said with a determined nod, turning away from the message board and helping Sanar back down to the floor.
The gryphon quickly scooped back up the grass, the other shiny object forgotten, and followed her mother out of the Lodge.

[August 30th, 2005]
[Hello little star, can you hear my call?]
The sun was high in the sky, beating down upon the beach making the sand warm the day hot and chasing the small group that lived in within Ar'Idil to skitter away from the hot confines of their rooms.
An open journal sat on Chao's lap, the tip of a pen tapping against it, dabbing tiny black dots of ink over the surface as her attention wandered, following her bounding and leaping ward.
Sanar's dark eyes skittered along the beach. She'd been down on the soft turf often, but never in the full light of day and never with the waves as restless as they were today. Rumbling deeply in her throat she bounded off after a particularly large one, colliding with it sharply and sending a spray of water over her back and onto the previously dry sand.
Chao sat up slightly, ready to throw the journal aside and leap to her ward's rescue, then sat back, relieved when the wave subsided and Sanar was still standing, arcing onto her back legs and giving herself a furious shake.
Yes! The wetness! Oh she loved the wetness, the things it brought the way the bits of color along its surface moved, like they were alive! With a happy click she raced after a nearby wave that was coming to its peak, leaping into it as well and bursting through on the other side, hooves beating against the soft surface of the muck that lay beneath the waves as her wings flapped above the surface, beating against the water. Her attention quickly locking on the tiny drips of water as they flew through the air, catching the light of the sun for just a moment. If only she could add those to her collection. Fruitlessly she snapped at them only to shake her head in unhappiness as they merely dissolved in her mouth, leaving a bad taste.
With a giggle Chao turned to her diary, beginning to scratch down an entry.August 30th: Chao: On the beach Dear Journal, Wow, I haven't written since Sanar arrived! Ho-hum, oh well. Sanar and I have been doing well, though I have rather recently learned what Sanar seems to be doing when I find her out on the roof at 3am [which has yet to stop]. As it turns out she's been collecting bits and scarps of everything! Little packrat of a gryphon that she is. I'd be cute if she didn't occasionally steal the spoons. Or pieces of the roof.Yes, I know, I hope it'll hold, I'm waiting for the next rain storm to see whether or not I'll need to do something about it now. Hopefully not. I've begun to research up on weaving. Sanar and I did our first project, we made a small rope out of grass. She collected the grass and I wove it together while she watched. We attached it to a small golden bell and sent it to someone over on the other island named Anakiro for help in his and his Tsukai's quest. I think I met him briefly at the summer festival, but can't be sure. I hope it helped. Letters from-[the ink suddenly veers off and the page is scattered with sand] With a yelp Chao threw the journal to the side, her eyes had finally zeroed in on her charge who was far too far from the shore.
"Sanar! Sanar!" she called, kicking off her sandals and diving into the water.
Sanar looked back towards her bigbeing who was now coming towards her. That was good, she'd been getting tired, and now she wouldn't have to swim back to shore with what she sought. She was so close now. Her eyes flicked back to a small yellow hued egg that was drifting near the top of the water.
Soon an arm latched onto the gryphon's body as Chao, who was no world class swimmer herself, finally made it out. Turning she began to paddle them back towards land only to halt at Sanar's insistent chirp.
"What is it San?" she asked, panting slightly and glancing over her free shoulder, groaning at the sight of the egg floating a few feet away. "Fine."
Minutes later they were all back on dry land, Sanar had curled up by the egg contentedly, having shook herself nearly dry. Chao was not so lucky.
Dripping wet with sand littering her feet, ankles and hands, though it was quickly mixed into her hair as she pulled a hand through the incredibly long locks.
"Ugh," she grumbled, wiping the remnants of the sand off on her shorts and picking up the journal then scooping up the egg, rolling her eyes at Sanar's click of protest.
"I'm not going to do anything with it, we're just going to take it home and get it warm, the poor thing is freezing!" she replied, gesturing towards home. "Then you and I are taking a bath."
Sanar ruffled her wings, recognizing the word bath. That meant more of the wetness! And the egg seemed to be coming too, so she was happy. Clicking quietly she quickly fell into step with her mother at they headed back towards Setone, unknowingly leaving Chao's sandals to the mercy of the beach.

[Early morning greetings.]A letter ~ Chao Thanks so much for sending that bell! Tsu and I really appreciate it! I really didn't expect anything to come of sending that note across. As for why you know my name, we didn't meet as such I don't think. But Tsu and I were milling about when Sanar become a gryphon. We just didn't want to intrude at the time - though in retrospect I'm kind of wishing we had. The point of this long winded note, was thanks for the bell! ~ Kiro & Tsu The letter Chao had fallen asleep writing a reply to gently drifted out of her lax fingertips towards the ground, landing on a small, quivering yellow toned egg which seemed to shudder as the paper landed gently on its surface.
A tiny crack broke the relative silence of the morning and Sanar's ears twitched slightly, flickering reflexively towards the odd sound. One dark eye popped open and the gryphon climbed to her feet, hopping out of her small bed and ruffling her wings as she woke up fully.
What was going on?
The egg gave another shudder and suddenly a crack appeared in its surface, moments later cracks were littering it's entire surface and several pieces fell from the surface to the floor. Suddenly a paw broke the surface, causing Sanar to scuttle back, clicking in slight alarm.
Above them both Chao twitched and snapped awake, the alarm in her Gryphon's call permenting through her conscious. "Wa'sgoin'on?!" she called, looking about, grabbing at her pillow and was about to toss it off when she noticed her gryphon ward eying the cracking egg and sighed in immense relief.
"Aha, so our little guest is finally going to arrive," she murmured and flopped down on her hands, watching as the remainder of the egg fell away and a small yellow and grey toned kit fell out.
Immediately curious rather than scared Sanar moved forward, nuzzling the kit quietly as Chao quietly fetched one of the extra blankets and wandered back into the room, wrapping the kit in it and giving it a gentle rub down under Sanar's watchful gaze. A minute later a golden-yellow snout poked out and was followed by a fuzzy head with gold and grey eyes which glanced around tiredly at the small group that had gathered, as Loki had been woken up as well.
"It's very nice to meet you little one," Chao mumured softly before turning to their group and yawning. "Oki, everyone, it's early; let's go back to bed, alright?" she placing the kit on her bed and crawling up onto its surface afterwards. Soon Sanar and Loki had joined them making the normally spacious bed seemed a bit cramped. But that was okay.
Looking down to the kit, who had climbed onto her stomach to sleep Chao smiled, "what does everyone think of the name Rein for our newest member?" After receiving what sounded like a positive reply from the group Chao smiled and settled back, listening as each being gently drifted off to sleep. In moments she'd followed them and was snoozing away.

[October 1st, 2005]
[Nearing the end of a very long week.]The yet to be replied to letter I'm hoping I might be able to get to Ar'Idil at some point soon, I'm interested to meet all the new guardians (some of you for the second time). I think a task I've been given might bring me across shortly, so it would be great to meet you! I look forward to it! As for Tsu and his quest; we've done pretty well. We're only missing two things, and I'm hoping we'll get them during the next few days or so. And the Wisp stage (as far as I'm aware, I don't pretend to be an expert...) it seems to affect all Aerandir, it's a stage between the Gryphon stage (the one Sanar's at now) and the Child stage. I think it's innitiated by contact with an object they have a special connection with (Tsu's is part of a quill pen, which is appropriate for his job as a storyteller - I think most of the objects have this connection), and puts them into a kind of limbo, until they have all the things they need to move on. And, as such, the lecture ends. =) Have you found out what Sanar's job is yet? I think it's kind of interesting how, Tsu at least, has always geared up specifically towards stories. Or at least he likes listening to people talk. I'm hoping he'll start telling me a few when he learns to talk himself. But anyway, I've written more than enough. Make sure you say hi to Sanar from both of us! Tsu's 'murbling' agreeably, so I'll take it as a greeting. Regards, ~Kiro & Tsu P.S. Please will you tell Sin THANK YOU from us? The cloth she sent is absolutely perfect! It's funny... a third of Tsu's items have come from people we hardly know. But thank her profusely for me, and thank you again! Besides the still sealed envelope carrying that letter was a new one, with a more recent send date.A Letter from Durem ~Dear Other Me, A new family member has joined us! Actually, well, two did I speak about Fai in the last one? Yes, well, they're names are Fai and Reid. Both boys, Fai is taller than I am now, he grew really, really fast, so fast he could be our older brother, rather than my son in everything but blood. He's a weather worker, if we ever get a chance to come down he says he wants to make it snow for you guys. Reid on the other hand is very tiny, only a little over a foot and a half tall. You know how Aido is considered a 'Tale'? He's called a 'Mishap' born from an accident involving wisps and fireflies, in the picture I sent you can see his tummy glowing. He and Ai make quite the pair and I have decided that I attract glowing children and that 4am is a very, very time to be writing letters. A very bad time. Oh, dear, I think I'll just head to bed. Hope you enjoy the pictures and that things are going well and that nothing has happened and that's the reason you haven't written in two months. Hope to hear from you soon! Love, Chao, Rico, Fai, Aido and Reid Chao sat down heavily on the couch, drawing the letters into her lap, grimacing when she noted the dates on each before looking up pensively at her newly repaired roof. It had rained earlier this week, beginning slowly then raging into a storm, her roof had leaked. It had been the start of a very, very slow going process of repairing the silly thing.
The fabric of the couch dipped as Sanar hopped on and curled up next to Rein and Loki and Chao shook her head. She wasn't sure if it'd been because Sanar had been taking bits and scarps of the roof for her growing collection of trinkets, many of which Chao often dragged back into the house only to have stolen again, or simply because things had come roof from all the times the group had wandered about along it's surface.
Either way the sound of rain echoing off it, rather than falling into the interior of her home, was calming and the teen felt it was a good time for letter reading, dispite the already late hour.
She opened Kiro's first, slipping the paper from the envelope and rubbing a bit at her eyes. With a slight yawn she snuggled down deeper into the couch's and began to read.

[November 12th, 2005]
[The script it called for rain but it was clear that day.]
Sanar practically flew into the house, wings flapping and all, though she gained no height from the motion it set off small dusty clouds from behind her.
A placid Chao followed, pulling off a pair of gardening gloves and looking sadly at the remains of a pair of letters that should have been set out months ago. She couldn't even blame Sanar's semi-thievery either, they'd fallen out of her pocket weeks ago, inspiring a fierce search on her part, it was only now that she found them again, dirt crusted and so crumpled and stained she couldn't tell which had been going to which person. And they'd been in the garden of all places, half buried under several of the flowers which she'd pruned today.
Well, there was nothing for it then, she was going to have to rewrite the silly things.
Flopping on the couch with a 'whumph' Chao picked up a piece of paper and one of the many pencils which were lying around and drew up her knees.
After poking and prodding a nonreactive Rein and finding that her wish to run and race was going to be denied Sanar trotted over and hopped up onto the couch, dark eyes following her mother's pencil.
Chao paused and glanced to Sanar and idly picked up the two long gone letters and offered them to the gryphon.
Sanar clicked happily, she didn't have anything like that in her collection! Grabbing them in her beak she hopped off the couch.
"No going out without me San! We're having lunch soon anyway," Chao called after the gryphon, whose ears flickered and changed course as a result.
Chao watched her disappear into the next room, she knew Sanar had a separate stash here but she had yet to find it. Maybe with the temporary addition of the letters she'd be able to sniff it out soon.A letter to Cetalu Kiro and Tsu, Hello again! I'm sorry I haven't written in so long. Thank you so much for the explanation, it sounds like an interesting stage, this wispness. Speaking of which has Tsu become a child yet? I imagine he has, considering how long it's been, but well, you didn't mention how long the wisp stage lasts so.... I have found out Sanar's job, she's going to be a weaver. It is interesting, as very recently after finding out she had a high degree of talent in that area I caught her pawing [hooving?] one of my shirts apart. It is a good fit, as more than one of my shirts/pants/jackets ect. have been pecked and hooved apart. Or stolen. She seems to like to hoard things though recently she's been doing a sort of asking for permission thing by showing me the stuff she wants to kidnap so I can say yes or no. Sanar says- A rip and the corner of the letter was gone leaving Chao staring at Sanar who was pawing the couch, the tiny scarp of paper hanging from her beak.
"San, this is for Kiro and Tsu! You can't rip it apart!"
Sanar tilted her head, pausing in her examination of the ripped paper.
Chao set down the letter and made an 'x' with her hands, "no. No ripping paper."
Sanar set her ears back against her skull and sat down, allowing Chao to take the scrap of paper from her. It was so sad, the paper made a great sound when ripped, quite unlike fabric. Laying her head on Chao's lap Sanar clicked quietly.
Rolling her eyes Chao pat the gryphon's smooth, soft head and scratched behind her ears before picking up the paper again.Quote: -'hello', as you can see from the ripped corner. I hope you come and visit Ar'Idil soon! I'm sure Sanar would love to see Tsu and I'd love to meet up. I'll be sure to pass on the message to Sin as well. ~Chao&Sanar Slipping the letter into an envelope and addressing it quickly Chao stood and moved towards the door, determined to get this letter off before starting on the next one.
"Come on San, let's head to the lodge and get this mailed," they could use the kitchen while they were there anyway.
Sanar trotted back to her mother happily, legs tense and ready to sprint.
With a laugh Chao tensed as well and threw the door open and the duo was off at a dead run down the path to the lodge.

Anthony stepped up to the door of the house, looked around helplessly and attempted to knock it it his foot. He tried not to kick too hard. His arms were full with a large parcel, digital video recorder, bag of strange implements, pad of paper and a pencil. He was determined to document this one, truly.
He was worried, however, that the guardian, being a guardian, might be a bit wary of him carrying out a battery of tests on her charge - hence the video recorder. If he could just get it all on film, up close, as a reminder for himself... well, that would be handy.
He rapped his foot hard against the door once again.

Chao's head poked up from it's place bent over a sketchpad at the second knock. Glancing out at one of the windows she grimaced slightly, apparently she'd gotten a little too into the sketch, it was already light out! Whops.
Brushing the graphite off her hands she sat up and slipped off the couch, heading to the door and opening it, "Hello-Anthony?" She tilted her head, "what's with all the gear?
Sanar's ears flickered and twitched as Chao hopped up and headed to the door and after a moment she stretched and hopped off the blanket she'd been napping on and trotted after her bigbeing to see who it was. Oh! It was the bigbeing from... a long time ago. She didn't know when but he certainly looked familar, she clicked warmly and ruffled her feathers.

"All this gear well.... " he paused, thinking how he should word this. "I've been given an item for Sanar. It will propel her into the next stage of her growth." He gestured with his head towards with the large brown-paper-wrapped parcel. "The rest of the things here are for me to document that change, if you'll allow it." he indicated the rest. "There's nothing invasive or harmful" he added, quickly.
He picked the large parcel up again, brushed it of absently and passed it over to Chao.

Chao's eyes lit up at the idea of seeing Sanar grow, she took the large package carefully, "if it's not harmful or evasive of course you can document it! I mean, erm, San are you alright with it?"
Sanar tilted her head and nudged at some of the gear with her beak, absently wondering what it would be like if she took it apart for her collection. Glancing up to her mother she gave a warm click, excited that she was excited and that there were all these new things to look at.
"I'm fairly sure that's a yes," Chao said with a small laugh and leant down so that Sanar could join in unwrapping the package.

Anthony quickly snapped his camera on as the pair unwrapped the parcel. He pointed it in their general direction, kicking out the tripod and leaving it there as he grabbed up an electro-magnetic sensor. As he watched, the parcel was opened and a sandy coloured woven bag tumbled out.
As Sanar's beak brushed against the item, whilst opening it, she began suddenly to change. Anthony stood at the ready, holding out his sensor and flipping the buttons on a few others as the change began to take place. Sanars form seemed momentarily to ripple and in a flash it was a strange bluish colour, fading to see-through. Another shiver as her hard front hooves began to become digits, her face flattening and becoming human, her tail end softening, linking itself to the bag in front of them and becoming somewhat... wispy.
A few of the machines beeped or wailed softly, the video looked on silently. He hoped he had caught it all. "Wow" he breathed, looking at the newly 'wispified' Sanar.
(( In order for Sanar to progress beyond the wisp stage, I'd like you to collect the following items and bring them to me:
1 piece of woven material Some small gems / beads Some straw Some wool 2 ribbons 1 leaf
You may get these by buying them from minishops, from other people drawing or creating them for you, or by drawing, creating or photographing them yourself (although no more than one item should be supplied by yourself.) Sanar should stay close to her bonded object at all times and should not be able to speak much or touch things while she is in this form.))
