Deciding that it'd be foolish to try and talk Wyv out of it she nodded and smiled in response, walking over to where the jars were currently kept, still in the overnight bag and gently lifted it up into her arms.

"Be careful with your choice of words, San seems to be keeping odd hours as of late. She might show up at your house at three o' clock in the morning if you give her the chance," she gave the gryphon smile all the same and placed the bag on her bed, easily removing the two undamaged jars and placing them on the bedspread.

Sanar didn't understand what the big things were making noise about but when the jars came out she immediately hopped off Chao's shoulder and onto the bed, boucning slightly before settling down next to one of the jars.

That startled a loud and raucous laugh out of her. "Ha! Sorry, that amused me. The one thing I never have a problem with is sleep. Anywhere, at any time, in any position." She scratched the back of her head. "The legacy of an unstable schedule. So it wouldn't be much of a hassle." She looked at Sanar. "So just don't make a habit of it, I do live with those who keep somewhat normal sleep schedules.

Her face brightened as she looked at her jars and Sanar curled around one of them. "Sorry there, little bit, but I've gotta go and they've gotta come with. You can visit though. I promise." She reached out slowly to take possession of the jars.

Sanar's ears merely flicked slightly at the warning. Big things were rather odd. And now this same big thing taking the jars away! She clicked unhappily and made to go after the jars only to have Chao pick her up.

"San, these are Wyv's jars, you can visit them anytime, including a few of those three am wanderings you love to get me up for," several hand gestures accompained the words.

Sanar squirmed in her mother's grip for a moment before settling down and clicking somewhat sadly. The jars were going away, that much she understood... she liked the jars, they were familar and they'd been here for long time so why go now?

Dark eyes watched Wyv and she ruffled her wings. At least the big thing was gentle and good at petting and making nice noises.

Wyv gave a sigh of relief; she'd thought Sanar might have become overly-protective of the jars and might make a show of defending them. Glad that such was not the case, she gave an encouraging grin to the gryphon and a consoling pat to the head as she scooped up her jars with her free arm.

"Yep, even at three am. Of course, given the daytime heat, can't say I blame you. The island's much more bearable lacking the evil orb called the sun." She gave her jars a cursory examination as she spoke. They were in excellent condition, as she expected, having no doubt of Chao's abilities as a temporary caretaker, but neither was there any change. Which, she supposed with an inward sigh of regret and frustration, was also to be expected. The jars were her responsibility, to have something happen under another's guardianship would've been insulting and awkward to resolve. But y'know, she had hoped...

However, worring was not a frame of mind Wyvern was suited to and such uncertanties about what would or would not happen faded from her forethoughts. Craddling her precious bundles close, she turned to Chao and showered the youner girl in a smile of heartfelt gratitude.

"Again, thanks. And thanks for letting me play with Sanar. I'll be sure to try and track down Anthony for that cook-out/water fight/filmfest idea."

Vaguely sated Sanar clicked slightly sullenly but lent into the pat all the same.

Chuckling Chao nodded, "ah the trials of the tropical climate, ugh," she was one for cold snaps and temperatures in the negatives, having it so hot was rather strange, not to mention the fact that there would be no snow this upcoming winter. But oh well.

Returning the warm smile with a small happy one of her own when she saw that the jars had been kept to Wyv's satisfaction Chao nodded, "and another 'you're welcome' on my part. I really hope Anthony decideds to let us go through with it, it'll be a blast."

[The Great and Mysterious Cave of Doom and Explosion]

Sin stood just outside her bedroom, contemplating how many flashlights she wanted to bring with her for their excursion back to the cave. Sure, two should be enough, but there was a nagging voice in the back of her mind that told her that she should be far more careful and bring and extra flashlight, some spare bulbs and some batteries. But then again, that was the voice of illogical thoughts that told Sin that she should do still sillier things, like invite her parents for a visit.

She put the two flashlights into her backpack, along with Gael's jar, Phantom and three bottles of water. She didn't want to take any chances so she, for once giving into the nagging voice, added a few batteries to the bottom of the bag. She knew that they would remain there, long forgotten, but she didn't care. All of her electronics were rechargeable anyway.

Slinging the backpack onto her back, Sin picked up her shoulder bag, which contained all of the food that she had prepared. Sandwiches, some chicken salad, some roast beef, chips, some lemonade, and the usual gingersnaps. All that she had left to do was make her slow process down to the Lodge where she would meet up with Jizzy and Chao, and maybe some others, to head back to the cave.

Chao had finally decided that when Sanar decided to go romping about testing every avaible surface with her hooves and head it was best to simply sit back off and watch, as running after the gryphon merely meant getting tired out. Despite her relatively small legs the gryphon had speed and no problem was using it. Besides, as long as the gryphon stayed in a fairly contained area and she knew where she was it should be fine.

Said gryphon was currently trotting along on the hardwood floor of the hall, hooves clacking along sharply against the surface. Her bigbeing was still outside, sitting on the stairs, watching for... something. Whatever it was would probably be there when she returned; or perhaps it was a grabby hurty thing and it would be best if she wasn't there when it came anyway as that would just mean trotting away.

Sin trotted down the dusty road towards the lodge, resolving that if no one was there that she would wait for a little while, before heading off to the cave. She reasoned that someone must have seen the message that she had posted on the message board. And then she had talked to both Jizzy and Chao about the cave, and they had both seemed interested in the idea.

Her backpack clicked as Gael's jar knocked up against the flashlights. Sin sighed. She would have to stop for a moment and fix the problem. She came to a halt in the middle of the road and unzipped her pack, reaching in and pulling Gael's jar out of the dark recesses of the backpack.

Sin tucked Gael's jar into the food bag, where the only thing that it could crash into was tinfoil. Satisfied, she started to head towards the Lodge in a half run - half walk that carried her feet rather briskly towards the building.

((I'm gonna type in dark red, so that the fonts are easier to tell apart))

Jizzy packed her things into her backpack, preparing herself for this expedition. She hadn't felt this alive in a while. The thought of adventure put a parl in her eye that was hard to ignore. She packed a flashlight, her notebook(with a pencil, of course), and some old glow necklaces she'd purchased back in the mailand quite a while ago. She thought it may be a good idea to place them around the small gryphon's necks so that they'd be visible in the darkness. Well, at elast she thought it was a good idea.

Tobias watched his mother eagerly pack things into her bag. He knew he was probably last to be packed and stayed close to his mother, nudging and examining odd thinsg on the table.

After everything was in order, she picked up Tobias and placed him gingerly in her bag, smiling down at him and setting of at a run to the lodge.

Panting slightly, Sin ran up the back side of the lodge, her shoulder bag banging uncomfortably at her side. She was now late, and she knew it. In a strange and rather bizzare way, Sin was glad she was late, because that would mean that more people that she wanted to come would already be there.

She rounded the final corner and was surprised to see Chao standing outside of the doors. She ran up, "Hey." She said, putting down the bag of food and gasping for air.

By now Chao was humming quietly to herself, occassionally breaking out into quiet song as she entertained herself whilst waiting for the others. "Oh I must be dreaming or..."

Sanar quietly trotted back into the warm sunlight of the day. It wasn't so much that she'd gotten bored wandering about within the Lodge but rather she'd picked up on her mother's quiet singing and had come to investigate. Ears flicking she nudged the arm that was blocking Chao's lap until it was removed then bounded into the area and settled down, dark eyes watching the area ahead.

Mindlessly Chao began to pat the gryphon and at the familar call of her name looked up and smiled, "hey Sin!"

Jizzy trotted up to the lodge, her house not being to far. She could see her two fiends and neighbors already standing there and hurried up.

"Hey guys!"

She cried out, smiling.

TObias poked his head out from his mother's jumping bag. He could see two big things, the singing one and another one, he then spotted Sanar and hooped eagerly.

Sin smiled and straightened, her breath finally caught. "Hey Jizzy!" She said happily. People had actually shown up. How amazing was that? Sin resolved that they should head out before it got any later. She raised the food bag.

"Anyone have any objections to nummy sandwitches on the trip to the cave of doom and explosion?" She asked, recalling a favorite line from a framilliar phanfic. "I've got chicken salad and roast beef, but we'd better head out soon, or we'll be late..." She trailed off... late for what? She had no idea why she'd said that.

Another smallgryph! With an eager click Sanar quickly hopped out of her mother's lap and bounded down the stairs towards Tobais. As she approached she clicked an eager greeting to the smaller gryphon.

Abandoned by her gryphon Chao rolled her shoulders and stood, "heya Jizzy, hey Tobais," she called to the gryphon before smiling and turning back to her friends. At the mention of chicken salad she perked up a bit, "sounds yummy. I've got some things on the more vegatable side of the spectrum for San and Tobby in my pack if they need it." Being of mainly herbologic origins [though supposeldy ostriches sometimes ate small invertebrates, but meh] from both her artifacts Chao had yet to even attempt to get Sanar to eat meat.

At Sin's statement of being late Chao eyed her friend suspiciously but didn't comment, "yeah, let's get going, ne?"

"Chicken sounds great."

Jizzy said, in truth not really caring. She didn't exactly NEED to eat, even though she liked too. She moved clowe to them, patting Tobias on the head to prevent him from jumping out. He wasn't the fastest walker.

"Yes, shall we get going, I'm quite exited."

Tobias gave a hoop of greeting and clicked the familiar Phantom tune to his friend. He enjoyed this and from what he knew, she did as well, so it had become as sort of habit.
