Vhan slowly made his way to his feet, dusting off some of the soot that had had been a result of his clothes drying method. "Next time you do that, aim a little to the side so I'm not cooked." he told Sanya, who nodded in apology and climbed up onto his head. He ended up standing next to Chloe with the Chimchar on his head.
"I bet they've been telling each other all kinds of mushy stuff after Featherhead dumped me in the river." he said in a taunting voice, aimed mostly at Kaya.

Brayden nodded meekly, "Its really nothing, we were just chatting," he managed, fighting the blush that came with Kaya's whispered admission. He wasn't sure if his battle was successful or not, though.
"A-anyway, this town's pretty straightforward," he explained, although he was pretty sure Chloe already had a good idea of where everything was.
"There's the bridge about halfway through town, on the other side of it lies the library, gym, and docks. That's where we can catch a ferry to Iron Island when we decide to go," he nodded.
"On this side of the bridge is most of the commercial stuff, and the Pokecenter."
"Congrats on your badge, though," he grinned sincerely. He was definitely happy for Chloe. She certainly was getting strong. He couldn't wait to hear her story when she decides to take on the Elite Four.

"Hmmm... if you say so," Chloe shrugged, not really convinced, but she wasn't one to argue.
"That's right. I was at the gym, over the bridge," Chloe confirmed Brayden's tour of the place, not really realizing that he was just trying to change the subject, "I saw a couple of docks over there as well, so yup, that looks like that's our ticket to Iron Island," she grinned.
"And thanks!" she grinned, "Byron was actually a challenge, I was glad for a tough match," she nodded. "For a while we've just been knocking Ratatta out of trees, so I'm sure my party was glad for a change in pace anyway," she laughed.

"Sure, that works for me," Chloe nodded to Brayden's suggestion. All in all, she was getting a bit tired as well. But curiosity over the gauntlets won over for the time being. She still was a bit cautious around them, after seeing Mikami's reaction to them. But she definitely was interested in what they were, as well as what they could do.
"So, the library's right over that bridge," Chloe pointed in the direction Kaya was looking.

Vhan was already at the PokeCenter, had his Pokemon healed and rented a room. He was sound asleep by now. Sanya curled up at his head, Shojo resting comfortably in the rooms TV, Sioc and Leanbh at the foot of the bed with the Eevee keeping the Ground type warm. Aoibhinn wa resting on top of the TV, looking quite comfortable. Soca remained in his Pokeball, too large and water dependent to be out all night.

Chloe ran alongside the two men, as the friends made their way across the bridge. She had to pause for a moment, however, as a Gastrodon wallowed out of the water in front of her.
Nearly tripping on the shelled Pokemon, Chloe instead leaped, making her way over the surprised slug.
"Entreri!" she called, summoning the Weavile from his Pokeball. Entreri ran alongside Chloe for a moment as she gave her instructions, "Meet up with us in the library after you beat this thing, would you?" Entreri grinned, fights were more interesting than books anyday. Skidding to a halt, the Weavile faced off against the Gastrodon.
As Chloe ran ahead, Entreri used a Focus Blast, charging up an orb of energy, before hurling it at the Gastrodon. The slug-like Pokemon squished, glooping angrily at Entreri, who merely grinned. As the Gastrodon countered with a Mud Slap, Entreri took the blow, barely wincing as he retaliated with one last Focus Blast, finishing off his foe.
Within short work, he had finished up the battle, dashing to catch up with Chloe, and returned to his Pokeball.

Brayden stumbled himself, as Kaya fell, still clasping his hand. He barely made out an "Ooops," before he found himself in the dirt, a little behind Kaya. Well, at least the Mr. Mime looked like it could easily be taken out by Aoi. Bryden stood, brushing himself off the best he could, offering a hand to Kaya.
"You alright?" he inquired.

Aoi could see the reflective light protecting Mr. Mime and determined himself to defeat it, launching forwards with another Take Down.

The Mime was able to hold it's ground against the onslaught, only skidding back an inch or two from the force before it returned the Steel Type's attack with one of it's own. After a moment of pantomiming it became clear what was going on as it charged with a Mimic'd Take Down at Aoi, slamming him into the ground with great force.

Kaya watched Aoi defend him from the Pokemon's attacks, replying to Brayden as he took the other man's hand. "I'm fine, I just didn't expect that." he said as he got back to his feet and dusted himself off. After a few moments to make sure he really was alright, he headed into the Library, Aoi following behind them. He wanted to converse with Kaya for a bit before he returned to Vhan.

"Hmm," Brayden nodded with a faint smile, "I can't say I expected that one either," he admitted easily. After all, its not every day a mime Pokemon leaps out in front of you. He followed Kaya into the library, following after the prince and the gem-like Aoi.
"So, any clue on where we should look?" he inquired, searching for a librarian or someone who could help them. The problem with that was, he wasn't sure what they were looking for.
