That made almost no sense to her since it was hard for her mind and heart to work together half the time. She shook her mane out, causing a few locks to land on the other side of her broad neck. She dipped her head down to the water, her darkened muzzle feeling the cold, watery touch of the river that flowed down to the ocean in the south. She turned her head, looking over the dark mare with the bright green markings on her body.
Ever still didn't know what to think of this mare. So far she had been most helpful with all her questions, but she still knew nothing about her aside from how she looked, she had a mate, and that she did know quite a bit of information. "Tell me about yourself, Chu'mana," she said as she dipped her head back into the water for another small drink.

Chu'mana blinked lightly and furrowed her eyebrows a bit. No one had really asked her to tell them about herself so this would be the first time. She shifted her weight on her hooves so she was more comfortable before she started.
"Well, a while back I was born, left in my basket to fend for myself. It seems that another mare thought I was one of her baskets and tried to run off other Soquili from bothering me. When I came out of my basket she noted that I wasn't anything like her...and I haven't seen her since. My two legger took me in, she had already had another Soquili named Firefly. Firefly is a bit of a hot head but she's a sweet person on the inside. After a while of mixed emotions and a terrible relationship with another stallion, I found my mate Hok'ee. There were a lot of trying things that conflicted between us, namely some other mare that's supposidly his best friend..." She stopped for a moment and sighed lightly. "After all that, we became mates and things settled a bit. Then...well....I met you and here I am."

She chuckled, her sense of humor being a very odd things at times and said, "Well then, I guess I am the most calming things you've had in your life. I'm certain that the issues with this other mare will die down once you start a family with your mate, Hok'ee." She nodded her head, feeling like she should do the same favor to Chu'mana for her to get to know herself a bit better. "I grew up alone in lands past the mountains and the deserts north of here. It was a different land there, many dangers everywhere. It wasn't until recently that I finally dared the waterless lands. The first thing I came upon was this odd noise that was filled with such sadness. It was my two-legger now and I have vowed to protect her and be by her side until her happiness flows over and she can be protected by another."
There was a high pitched whistle in the air and Ever's ears twitched with the sound. It was her two-legger, but she was not ready to go now. Out of habit, she took a few steps in the general direction before striking out and staying grounded. "That was my two-legger, Evening Night."

Chu smiled weakly, her tail giveing a few flicks side to side. "I suppose you are the most calming thing so far." Sighing lightly, she tossed her mane from one side of her neck to the other. "I really hope so...I mean, they had kind of something going on between them before I met Hok'ee and I think she holds some hostility towards me because I got to him first....I just hope she gets over it....though it sometimes makes me wonder things..."
Her ears perked forward as she heard the whistle. Turning her head, she raised an eyebrow before looking back at Ever. "Ah, I see now."

She pawed at the ground, tossing her head up and down a bit. "Just don't lose faith in your partner. I'm sorry, but I must draw this time to a close. Thank you for answering most of my questions. Next time, could very well be under different circumstances." She pranced a bit and then bowed to Chu'mana. "It was a pleasure talking with you, Chu'mana. I shall not forget this time."

Chu nodded her head and smiled. "It was a pleasure talking with you as well Ever." Giveing her tail a flick, she turned around and trotted back from where she had come. The sound of her hooves against the ground fadeing away as she moved clear of the area.
