Roger's eyes darted, from Dune, to the stranger, and back again. He was frowning, and trembling, just a little, as the woman walked up the stairs, "But... wait... remember? It's not right..." he told her, seeing her going up, to, whatever it was that had spooked her before hand.

"The sights that lurk up these stairs are more welcome to my gaze than he is," Dune responded coolly as she made her way up the stairs again, she had only paused to speak but finding no reason to return to the lobby once more she promptly disappeared through the doorway and into the balcony area surrounding the epicentre of the temple...

It was here that she would remain until something of mroe interest came to her, for she had no reason to stay within the presence of an intruder or in the presence of one who had given her such trouble and had not given their little guest any trouble whatsoever - she was highly unimpressed by this...

Eidos lifted an eyebrow and took a seat on the plush carpet. "That's fine," he drawled, sounding more amused than anything else. "I assure you, I didn't come here for your charming personality."

"As for your forest," the teen glanced at Roger, "I might've broken through a few bushes and stomped over a couple flowers, but nothing that won't grow back in a month or two, so I wouldn't worry about it." His tone was genial enough, although privately Eidos was wondering if the other man had good reason for being so agitated or if he was simply neurotic. "...I apologize for interrupting your card game," he added after a moment.

Roger looked away, as the man talked to him, and started climbing up the stairs, after Dune, "Better the devil you know..." he muttered to himself. This place, something he might have adopted as a sanctuary, was starting to get a little, crowded for his tastes. He almost tripped, on his way up the stairs, after Dune... and scrambled up after her.

( Outside => Main Hall)
-----------------------------

Stepping softly into the echoing stone construction, Daniel was surprised as his shoes made no sound on the floor. Looking down, he realised that a deep blue carpet stretched away towards the end of a long hall, lit with barely luminscent flowers. Something un-nerved for a moment; but as he approached the middle of the cavernous room he felt oddly at peace, something the shapeshifter was unused to. He lowered himself carefully to a cross-legged position, settling himself into the centre of the place and looking all around, icy eyes curious as they took in the surroundings.

A particularly sharp voice echoed from the stairs that ran elegantly down either side of the circular room, and the shapeshifter froze silently. If his ears had been lupine at the time, they would have swiveled round, quivering as he ascertained that this was no threat but merely those others that had come before. They must be upstairs... but for now, this was no concern of his.

He continued to sit peacefully in the centre of the hall, deep in contemplation.

Eidos shook his head, almost annoyed at the pair's rudeness - almost, because frankly, he didn't quite care enough for it to bother him. Quietly, he rested his head on his kneecaps and attempted to will away the headache pounding from the base of his skull. His eyes slid shut in weariness and his body went lax. It was probably unwise to become too careless in such a strange place, but the soft ambience made it highly tempting.

Faint echoes of footsteps caught his ears and Eidos slowly glanced up to see who had arrived. He blinked twice upon seeing the other man, the scars the main focus of his attention, but when the werewolf sat down Eidos returned to his previous stance. He couldn't help but feel a strange sense of agelessness in these chambers...

Another's entrance caught the man's attention immediately. He did not say anything by way of greeting, instead just nodding slightly. This did not seem one of the the perpetrators of the argument he had heard floating down the stairs; on the other hand, he looked to be a traveller such as himself. His communion with the temple broken for now, he leant forward and sprang silently to his feet in one movement, sweeping up his coat from the floor and then glancing at the ceiling high above. Odd illuminations flickered off his glasses and the icy blue eyes behind them as his gaze swept the place.

He considered asking the other what lay up the stairs, but realised even as he did so that he was staring with that rapt expression that heralded a contemplation of this curious place. Instead of disturbing him, Daniel instead slipped to the side, until he found the stair case curving gently round and upward. Padding onwards he came to the top of the stairs, then paused as the sight of the crystal struck him.

"What strange thing is this," he murmured, eyes bemused.

Wonder what's so interesting about that balcony... Eidos mused to himself as yet another lifeform passed him and up the stairs. At some point he had shifted to rest in the shadows, and from there watched at least three people pass by and head for what was now definitely an argument. Perhaps it was just him, but Eidos couldn't find any good reason to go and invite trouble.

Even so, after seeing three people head up and away, he couldn't help but be slightly curious. Besides, there was something very strange about this temple. Secluded, ancient, beckoning...not to mention, the clock on his cell phone had frozen. It gave a whole new meaning to the aura of timelessness.

"Mmm..." With a low rumble in the back of his throat, Eidos stretched his hands towards his toes, his back popping thrice as he did so. He smiled in satisfaction and pushed himself to his feet, then followed after the latest person to walk through the balcony doors.

Entering from Outside once more.

Having leapt from the balcony, her knees were twinging ever so slightly but with a disgruntled snort she pushed such irritation from her mind and instead; made her way into the empty and completely deserted hall - so she had been right, the nosey creatures couldn't keep themselves to themselves and stay out of other people's business. She smiled beneath her mask, a bitter smile at that and shook her head; she sincerely hoped they failed in their attempts to harness the knowledge that she had managed to acquire.

Nevertheless, removing her hat from her head and the mask from her face, she made her way back towards the wall where she had been sitting previously and took her seat, leaning the back of her head against it as she stared towards the ceiling - her expression stoic and unreadable as she allowed her thoughts to run rife once more - how dare they.

Roger walked quietly down the stairs, not wanting to trigger one of Dune's little rampages. His feet moved quietly over the carpeted surface, and he walked slowly, so as not to disturb her.

When he got to the bottom, he stopped, a little shocked, seeing the woman without her hat, or her mask. Not that it made any difference. The woman's face was so, unreadable, anyways. Almost as inhuman as that mask. Still, he felt almost, special, that he got to see it.

Although the head hadn't moved from it's place against the wall, the emerald eyes could be seen flicking towards his general direction - in this time she remained silent, however after a few moments she did release a very heavy sigh and returned her gaze to the ceiling. For a brief moment there was a flash of weariness across her delicate features as though she had finally been overcome by exhaustion - then again, who wouldn't be exhausted by the stress of feeling like a cornered animal?

"What do you want?" She enquired in a low murmur, even her voice maintaining a note tiredness which she no longer attempted to contain - at present, she could not be bothered, it simply wasn't worth it and she was otherwise preoccupied in the process of preparing herself to bail out once more and remove herself from another ambush that would no doubt come eventually.

Roger walked towards her slowly. His face frowning slightly, seeing the weary, actually human, expression on her face. She seemed so, different now. It was like she was three people, in his mind. The spy who started arguements, that woman that helped him with the bleeding, and now this weary soul... His head tilted slightly to his right, as he stared at her, "Um... I just... I... I owe you... I wanna know how I can pay you back..."

"You don't." She replied calmly, her gaze maintaining it's lock upon the ceiling above her. Despite her weariness she was still tense and her legs bend in such a manner that she could bolt at any given second; even her plumed hat and mask were carefully positioned within her reach to simply pull onto their allocated places - she may have been tired but by no means was she in any manner, prepared to relax.

Nevertheless, after a few moments of consideration she did uncover a way in which he could pay her back for her aid on the balcony, "Well actually -" She murmured at last, a small and almost bemused smile flicking onto her lips as she proceeded to demand her repayment, "You could clean your blood off my cloak." She finished, the smile vanishing from her lips as the stoic expression returned - even if in her eyes she still looked tired, as if they had seemingly lost their gleam.

Roger nodded slowly, "Don't hardly seem like a fair trade... but yeah, I can do that for ya," he told her, approaching to just outside of arms reach of her, he knelt down, holding out his left hand for the cloak, "I know a small freshwater spring. About a mile from here. Shouldn't take more than a hour to do."

He smiled warmly at her, as he awaited her response.

Dune hadn't actually picked up the emerald cloak, she had left it on the balcony wall where he had set it due to the fact that she had entered a frenzy of pacing and now, she could only smile at the irony of it all, "I was kidding." She murmured, arching her back to give a light stretch before turning her gaze towards the doors of the temple again - she would just return to Durem, Barton, Gambino or Aekea to purchase a new cloak, it wouldn't take to long now that she knew the way there and back.

"I will simply buy a new one when I return home; I am in need of some new clothing anyway." She mused, contemplating the choice of colours she would take on instead of the emeralds this time - lilac perhaps? It was certainly something to consider.

"I have no need of repayment - you do not need a reason to help someone."
