Dune simply narrowed her eyes as she stalked across the balcony once more, her eyes narrowed beneath her mask as she fought to regain control of her composure - perhaps her response to the interruption had been a little harsh but had he gone through what she had then he would have definately had a better understanding of why she was do annoyed by the apparent chain of events.

Nevertheless, as she made her way to the centre of the balcony, the feather upon her hat bouncing merrily she couldn't help but turn her emerald gaze in the direction of the window that she had looked through previously; could she do it again?

Glancing round only once she approached the window once more and gazed in longingly upon the Crystal that lay before her, her head bowing somewhat in reverence towards it (a rare occurance for her to say the least).

The man walked through quickly, his eyes not straying from the door he had seen Dune take. It didn't take long for him to cross the crystal chamber, and he was, somehow, unaware that there was even there, as he pushed open the door, and let out a sigh. Fresh air, and a beautiful view, the man walked forward slowly, looking over the forest, drinking in the earthy air. A large smile appeared on his face, as he turned around, looking for Dune, and seeing her, almost, praying, to a window?

Her eyes snapped open abruptly as she heard the soft footsteps of the man behind her, usually she would have sprung up and attempted to look as though she had been doing nothing out of the ordinary but considering the circumstances this was far from possible and instead, she simply rose her masked head and turned towards Roger with another look of discontent...

"You desired to know what had spooked me so," She trailed off and moved away from the window with a few steps to the side. Making her way over to the balcony ledge where she rested her arms and turned her gaze outwards towards the forest surrounding the temple - here, she sighed appreciatively yet inaudibly to those who were not right beside her...

Roger shrugged, "Suppose it won't hurt none," he muttered, as he walked through the window, leaning up against it. It took a moment for everything to register. The shadows, the shapes, slowly they came into focus, and the man let out a near silent, "Wow..."

Never had he seen anything like that. The crystal was huge. He didn't think crystals grew that big. And well, wherever the guardian was, he didn't see him. Slowly he turned from the window, walking up near Dune, and taking a spot on the railing, "Why'd that spook ya?"

Paper, giddy at finally having some "life" around the temple, quietly followed the woman and man up the stairs. As she entered the Crystal Chamber she made her usual bow to the Crystal Guardian, who was, as always, glowering on the altar. The Nameless mass of shadow awknowledged her gesture with only the slightest nod as Paper left the chamber, gliding through the closed door that led to the balcony.

With a giggle she only barely contained, the ghost settled herself on the ledge away from the two people and watched, pondering her next move.

"You are either talentless or dense." The woman concluded, she hadn't even started at the beginning and had simply made her conclusions known in reference to his question, how could he possibly stare into the - no, he wouldn't understand would he? Shaking her head the woman simply gazed out upon the forests and toyed with the vines between her gloved fingertips.

She supposed that the hermit was rarely startled by something he lived with continuously, he probably couldn't hear or sense it at all and yet when she approached that window she could feel the distinct whispers of the crystal and that gentle tug upon her heart - that tug she had long since forbade to come out for it would spell disaster like the last time it appeared and she could not allow that.

She had been spooked because it had come and it hadn't gone away...more importantly, she hadn't wanted it to go away like she was supposed to have. More importantly, when she had felt like that all her guards had dropped and she became vulnerable - she didn't like that!

Nevertheless, she was still completely unaware of the ghost lurking close by and consider only the two men, the crystal and herself to be the only entities present within the temple.

Roger shuddered slightly, as he looked over at Dune, and away from the forest. The shudder brought a frown to his face, and he looked around frantically for the cause, pushing away from the railing, and spinning in a tight circle several times. Finally, he stopped, and sat down on the stones.

"I told you I'm not talented like you people..." he reminded her, shaking his head slowly.

"Then why the peculiar movements?" She enquired drily, flicking her emerald gaze towards him. Beneath her mask her eyebrow had raised again causing her eyes to glitter with some form of amusement - given the fact that she had now recovered from the initial shock of the new visitor she was no longer being as snappy as the traditional dragon would be, "I would not say you are talentless." She began at last, pulling herself up onto the railings where she sat down and tilted her hat slightly to reflect the sun away from her eyes.

"But I would say you are tactless and lack empathy." She pointed out, shaking her head as she reflected upon his inability to understand how another would feel given the circumstances, particularly when he seemed to judge her so quickly in the past.

The man look down, bowing his head before her, and murmuring, "Sorry..." towards the stones near his feet, rather than at the woman's face. He shook his head slowly, and seemed to be whispering something inaudible to himself.

Slowly that changed, his hands coming up to his eyes, rubbing against his nose. This time, his mutterings were somewhat audible, as he looked down at his feet, "Yesterday I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. How I wish he'd go away."

Paper watched the two vistors, but paid no real attention to their interactions. She was busy thinking of all the fun games they could play together. The thought struck her, how can they play when she hasn't inrtoduced herself yet? If she was going to say hello, she might as well do it now. Cause what if they got bored and left!? No, no, no, that wouldn't do at all.

Taking a deep breath.. well.. sort of... Paper slid off the rail and shuffled over to the two.

With a bit of concentration, her body slowly materialized into her corporeal state. A gray-haired child wearing large glasses and holding a ragged kitten doll now stood where before there had only been air. The little ghost-child adjusted her glasses a bit, the light glinting off them unnaturally, before putting on her friendliest smile and chirping a high-pitched:

"Hi!!"

Thank the gods for masks. Dune's face would have been an absolute picture if she hadn't had it hiding her expression from view. Instead, her eyes only appeared to 'flicker' slightly in response to the girl's materialisation - she was actually incredibly grateful for her love of masks at present, priding herself further on choosing to wear one at that precise moment for it made her look as if she hadn't been phased in the slightest.

...What a lie. She wasn't used to random children popping up out of nowhere, squealing their hellos and looking as though it were the most natural of occurances but she would endure, she always did.

Sliding from the balcony edge, her feet touched the floor beneath her and her emerald cloak cascaded round her shoulders, it rippled and shimmered within the sunlight and after a few moments she gave a curt bow towards the girl in order to show her acknowledgement of her presence before her.

"Greetings." She replied steadily, maintaining her composure as best she could in the process.

And Roger, fainted dead away, as the dead popped into sight before him...

he was lying on his back, his mind reeling from the shock,as the voice reached out to him, "I told you..." it whispered in his mind.

"No..." he cried back, but his voice was weak, and drifting away in the darkness of his mind. The voice came out, towards the light...

His eyes opened, and the man seemed, different, somehow. He carried himself with more confidence, as he picked himself up, and looked over at the ghost child, and the woman on the rail, "Who in the blackest hells, are you?" he asked.

Again - thank the gods for masks.

The amount of facial expressions beginning to form of the masked woman's face would have been rather amsuing but all things considered, none could see them due to the venician mask in which she wore - she was absolutely delighted by this fact to say the least and it enabled her to maintain her composure without even having to attempt to explain herself for they had no emotions to see.

Nevertheless, between the sudden appearance of the wraith and the sudden change in personalities by Roger, it appeared that the unfortunate Dune had her hands full. She wasn't used to speaking to ghosts and she certainly lacked the patience to deal with those who apparently suffered from split personalities but humouring someone was something she could do.

"Dune de Epine." She responded coolly.

"Um... Didn't you just tell me that a little bit ago?" Roger said, laughing a bit, as he took a very large step away from the ghost, and Lady Dune at the same time. He didn't know what had happened, but... something was different. That little girl filled him with dread, and... something else. And Dune, well... why the hell was she speaking her name again...

Slowly the man shook his head, and stopped backtracking, as he ran into the other railing, almost tipping over it.
