Well I would hear Tool songs but didn't really want their albums until I heard AEnema. After that, I got Lateralus and the AEnema albums, and became completly hooked.

My dear, beloved sister got me into Tool. It was when I just got my ipod and I was rummaging through the house, finding music to be in iTunes. My sister lent me her cds, and one of them was a Tool cd. I think it was Aenema. So at first they were just another band on my iTunes untill I heard "Jimmy". It was my favorite song untill I heard "The Grudge", "Lateralus", "Jambi", and "Rosetta Stoned" (My favorite song of all time). Tool is now my favorite band of all time by far.

To tell the truth, I haven't been a huge fan very long.
My parents are retarded, so I didn't have my own CD's or Radio. I was stuck listening to old s**t like Kylie Minogue in the car-shudders-
Of course, there was television, but it usually played gangsta s**t and I've always, always, hated that crap.
Only a few years ago, my grandmother bought me a stereo. At first I listened to the shitty pop radio station, but I soon found out about The Rock(As you may have guessed, it's a radio station that only plays Rock and Metal).
They played Aenima quite often, and I was hooked!

Got into A perfect circle, fell in love with his voice, and moved on into Tool. They played alot of Tool on the radio, it was addicting.

I can't say any music really got me into tool. I listened to rock/alternative through middle and high school, and in 9th grade a friend gave me a copy of AEnima and it was a done deal. I just liked them better than anything I had heard before, more and more as I listened to them. I guess tool got me into APC. And my mom had a few NIN cd's around, I'm sure I started listening to them after hearing "Closer" on the radio.

it wasnt actually other music that got me into tool i actually found aenima on the bus one day and i took it home and listened to it and i was just hooked after that

I listened to Pink Floyd which got me more into alternative and that's where I heard Schism for the first time and was hooked, looked up more songs, read the lyrics while listening, thought "Genius!!" and Tool became my favorite band. I think Maynard is a genius!!

I can't remember. I think they just slithered into my brain one day and made a nest. Pesky things, haven't been able to get rid of them since! They've laid eggs in my grey matter!

My older cousin girlfriend. She took me home from school one day and she was listining to a mixed cd and one was Tool. She started talking about them and when I got home I looked them up and was hooked.
