I can relate to that, I mean, it's like picking on those soft as lamb christians (who were a majorly small minority in my high school, like one or two people who openly admit it! razz ), they're not hurting anyone and they're all soft and nice, so why pick on 'em for no reason?

Personally I've never fit into one category well, I don't fit into this one perfectly either because let's face it, we're talking about an ideal most of the time.. but hey, diversity is good, right? So maybe I do fit in here well.. um.. People used to be mean to be because I was quiet, kind and a dork. Nowadays (I'm 24) I just give people a look and they back off... razz The goth in me has awakened, ROTFL! wink (Or I simply have strong eyes, however you want to take it..)

But hey, you know what? Regardless of who you are you're going to get picked on at one time or another (unless people are too afraid to say things to your face razz ). It doesn't matter if you were the most perfect person on Earth, you'd be picked on for being too danged perfect!! So hey, it's not your fault you're getting picked on, it's just people and their insecurities..

I live in arkansas....so naturally i know quite a few people who hate hippies.....actually i have some red-neck friends....they don't hate me obviously, but we disagree on a lot of things.

I used to have this world history teacher two years ago who served in the Viet Nam War. I told him at the beginning of the year that I was a bit of a hippie and he told me then that he wasn't sure if we'd be able to get along. We would pick at eachother all the time, and I was one of his favorite students. He retired later that year, but we still send emails to eachother.

He hates hippies, but he likes me! biggrin

Ehh, so what if they don't want peace and love hippie style. I just ignore, or laugh at them because calling me a hippie isn't an insult. Plus I find it funny that they can't think up a decent insult that they didn't get from south park. smile
